Shesha was standing out in the yard of his current home, his magical staff in hand, working on practicing with the very simple spells that he'd been taught thus far. It was a rather slow going process, painfully so, but he knew that it was going to be worth it. He was going to learn how to control these powers that he apparently had and through them he was going to only rise that much high in the world. He gave pause, reaching into the pocket inside of his fancy robes, and used it to mop off his brow.
It was far too hot today for all of this, but he couldn't very well allow the heat to keep him from practicing these skills. He supposed that the upside was that he was at home, meaning that nobody would see him in the sorry state that he was currently in. At least that was what he saw it as. He was hot, he was sweating, his hair was tied up into a messy bun, and he just didn't want anyone to see him. It would be so awful if he were seen in this state... he felt as though even if he became the king's personal magician he'd never live it down. As such he couldn't allow anyone to see this save for maybe his teacher since the man was always skulking about. He wasn't sure why but the man seemed to enjoy just randomly appearing behind him, trying to startle him while he was practicing his magic.
That was a thought that caused him to give pause, turning to look around the area as though he was expecting the man to pop up. He didn't see anyone though, meaning that the man wasn't nearby at the moment. Good, he didn't want to deal with him patting him on the head like a perzi kitten or something. Maybe a few thumps on the head would finally get the man to behave? That was his plan at least.
Turning back once more he set to gathering magical energy again. He only knew a handful of basic spells, one of them being a water summoning spell. He would do his best to get that one to work because he felt that some good, clean, cold water would be nice. It would help him to cool off. His attempts at the spell were suddenly stopped as he heard a sound behind him, something that caused the red head to whirl around, "I swear if you even think about starting with me when it's so hot..." His threatening words seemed to trail away as he found himself starring not at his teacher but instead at a trio of rather feral looking perzi. Well now, that wasn't good, was it? With his luck they probably all had rabies... or at least an overwhelming desire to eat him because he was so delicious to look upon.
Shesha blinked a couple of times at that thought before he took a half step back, "Ahh... well now, you aren't the ones I thought that you were. Continue on your way, I'd rather you not get your dirty paws on my robes. Not to mention those claws of yours." It was all fairly detestable if you asked Shesha who wanted nothing to do with a bunch of dirty strays.
In response to him telling them to leave though one of the perzi hissed at him, the others arching their backs. It was obvious that the group of them didn't really care for Shesha telling them off. It wasn't something that he regretted since he really wanted nothing to do with the beasts. At the same time he found himself taking a couple more steps, putting his magical staff between himself and the trio if perzi. Giving a shake of his head he said, "I have great magical powers! I will send all three of you flying all the way to the oceans of Matori if you dare to get any closer to me!"
It was doubtful that the cats knew exactly what he was saying but the spell he was able to muster did seem to help. It was a spell that summoned a decent sized globe of water that connected with one of them, sending all three of the cats scattering in various directions around the yard. That wasn't exactly what he was going for as he didn't want them around, but at least they were no longer grouped up against him? That was something at least.

After the cats scattered Shesha found himself debating on whether or not he should go after them and make sure to chase them out of the yard. Would they actually leave him along if he were to do that? It was kind of hard to say but it was better then letting them group back up so that they could try to jump him from behind again, right? The last thing he wanted was to end up with a bunch of perzi scratches on his beautiful, delicate skin! That would be the worst thing in the history of ever! A dramatic sort of thought but one that had the red headed mage in training moving about the yard, seeking out the trio of perzi. They had to be around somewhere, skulking about, looking for their opening.
Damn cats! To think that he actually one of them as a pet... it would just be a good one, one that was from a fancy breeder, not one that born on the streets that was covered in grime and battle wounds! That would be the same as someone as fancy as Shesha picking up a scarred up lover off the streets! It was just something that he wouldn't do. He wanted only the best after all!
His search for the trio of feral perzi continued for a while but without any luck. He took it as a good sign though. Maybe they had decided that picking on him wasn't worth their time and they had gone to find something better to do? That would be nice now wouldn't it? Here was to hoping that were the case since it meant he would be able to get back to training.

After a search of the yard that hadn't really turned up anything that was worth noting Shesha found himself back in the spot that he'd been training in earlier. It was a strange diversion, the trio of perzi, but it was a bit silly that he'd allowed himself to get distracted by the beasts. He was supposed to be training after all and he was no longer a child! He hadn't been for a long time, not really. It was one of those things that he'd sacrificed so that he could pursue the path of being... well, something more then what he'd been born as. He was happy with the choices that he'd made even if they hadn't left a lot of time to play. At least not in the normal sense. He couldn't say that he never had fun though, he'd been able to enjoy that festival after all.
Lifting his magical staff aloft once more he murmured to himself, "No reason to worry about such things. This is the path that I chose after all." He saw no reason to moan and complain over such a foolish loss. Not when he was actually getting closer toward his goal with each passing day. All he had to do was continue to hone the skills that he was working on right this moment. To be honest, while the diversion with the perzi had been a distraction at least he'd been able to summon forth the water orb without much issue. In fact instead of concentrating on it intensely he'd just done it by instinct alone. So perhaps the 'old man' really was right about him having a gift for magic. Not that he was surprised, he was quite amazing after all!
Giving a bit of a smirk at the thought he set to gathering magical energy into the magical staff, preparing another spell... when he heard a mewling sound behind him. It was the sound of the perzi he realized instantly before he turned slowly to look over his shoulder. Once more the trio of cats had gathered and he couldn't help but to give a bit of a sighing sound, "Really? You know that I have better things to do then deal with the lot of you, right? I am supposed to be practicing my magic." Really? It seemed as though they were doing it on purpose! As though they were having fun showing back up the moment that he was about to summon forth a spell. Surely they weren't as smart as all of that though, right? No, no, they were nothing more then a trio of beasts that were likely hungry and looking to him for something to eat. It was nothing more then that and since he had nothing for them he should just ignore them... or chase them out again.
Pointing his staff at the lot of them he said, "Unless you three want another bath I would get moving if I were you." It was less the words and more the pointing of the staff that had the trio of perzi hissing at Shesha before they started to spread out this time. It was obvious that they weren't looking to get drenched a second time. Giving a bit of a sigh Shesha watched them scatter. That meant that he wouldn't be able to chase them off in one shot this time around. What a bother... he wanted to train, not chase around a bunch of felines all day!
"You're all very frustrating!" He called after the lot of them, sending another water spell forth, allowing it to splash against the nearest perzi, which sent the creature running again. It took but a moment before it was out of sight. Giving a grumbling sound Shesha started to search for the other two that he knew were sneaking about. He would have to chase them off again, all of them, before he would be able to start in on his training once more.
Maybe it would be smarter if he just decided to go inside, huh? It wasn't as though they would be able to follow him inside or something. At least not if he got inside quickly, door closed behind him, so that they couldn't give chase. Not to the best plan but at least it was a plan, right? One that didn't involve him being at risk of getting scratched up.
Deciding that was the plan that he would go with he turned on his heel, starting toward the house. He had enough of training outside he thought to himself a moment before a flash of moment caught his attention. It was the drenched feline that he'd hit with the other cat. He gave a sighing sound, "Really? You want another splash, kitten?"

Shesha found himself starring at the perzi that seemed to be barring his way back into the house, something that had him sighing a little bit. So it was just going to stand there starring at him? Did the thing want to get splashed with more water? It was a bit of a pain if you asked him, but if he could chase the thing off then maybe he'd be able to practice in peace. That was what he hoped for at least. He'd practice a bit, inside that was, and then he meant to relax for a while. After all of this running around chasing cats and being chased by cats he felt that a bit of relaxing was more then called for.
Lifting his staff he pointed it at the perzi and said, "This is your last chance, kitty. This time maybe I will summon up some fire and singe that tail of yours." He concentrated then on summoning up a spark of fire, one that danced in front of the crystal ball on his staff. It wasn't much, he wasn't that great with fire magic yet, but at least it seemed to get the cat's attention? Waving the staff from side to side he started toward the roughed up looking stray, "Staying or going, perzi? It's your call."
The big cat set to pacing for a moment in front of Shesha, its ears laid back, teeth barred slightly. It was obvious that it was debating on what it wanted to do but after a moment it finally decided. With one last hiss at Shesha the perzi was running off, rejoining its two friends, before all of them left the yard. It seemed as though he'd won. Well, of course he'd won, as though there was any other way the battle could have gone he thought to himself in an arrogant fashion before heading inside the house.
