River RamirezP e t s: Ko (cat)
H o b b i e sC a r i n g f o r K o : He got Ko in Sho's final year of life. Not as a replacement for his beloved finch, but as something to help with the immense amount of grief that came with his passing. He has turned his apartment he shares with his boyfriend into a cat house, basically. He has done, and still does, so much research on the best diet, the toys, the litter. He's learned a lot from his little feline companion.
D r a w i n g f r o m N a t u r e : Kazuo loves spending time outside, and usually brings along a small sketchbook to have some sort of record of what he saw. Some enjoy people watching, and while Kaz will occasionally partake in this he prefers to observe wildlife. His sketchbook is filled with drawings of birds, trees, and the absolutely perfect spiderweb he found just the other day. It should also be noted he's not really a recluse, and if one wanted to join him on his trips 'into nature' he'd be fine with that.
M o n s t e r M o v i e s : Call it what you will, but Kazuo enjoys any and all movies featuring Kaiju. He's watched movies in several languages, and while he doesn't always really understand what's going on that's okay, it has giant rampaging monsters. That's enough for him. King Ghidorah of Godzilla fame is one of his favorites, though he must admit to a special love of The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. So it's not a traditional monster movie...so what?
V i r t u e sP a t i e n t : Patience is passion tamed. Kaz has his ideas and goals, but knows that to get them a good deal of patience will be required. There's no need to rush, as working slowly towards a goal will make the victory all the more sweet. Why finish something haphazardly in a day when if you just wait you can make it perfect?
P o l i t e : Kaz sees no reason to be rude, and really doesn't understand the silly habit of calling someone 'hey dude' or 'you, over there!'. People have names and titles for a reason, and he -will- be using them thank you very much. He is also the one stooping to help someone who has tripped back to the feet, rather than standing by and laughing. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
O b s e r v a n t : Careful observation can teach you many things. Where others might rush right on in, Kazuo is quite content to sit back and watch to get a better understanding of just what is going on. Why yes, he did notice that the person who just stumbled has their laces untied. No really, he did try to warn them, they just didn't notice. Sigh. He'll go help them now.
F l a w sS o f t S p o k e n : Kazuo really has no concept of an 'outside voice'. He speaks loud enough to be heard, but only by those nearby and actually paying attention. This often leads to him being overlooked, or simply unable to get a word in if others around are having a conversation. Kaz swears this is okay, really guys it is. He'll just sit by and pipe in when able (which isn't often with his usual company), and quietly say "Told you so" when something doesn't go right. Really, he did, you just didn't hear him.
K a z t h e S p a z : Kaz has a good grip on reality. Really, he does. But there are just times where he is out of his element of control* and it's visible. Kazuo likes having at least a vague idea of what's going on, some sort of plan to how things will be, or the simple thought that there are friends around he can depend on. When thrust into a situation without these things, Kaz grows increasingly nervous and fidgety. Akio has so kindly added "Spaz' to his long list of nicknames due to this. Becoming part of the exchange program was a big deal to him, and once arriving in Destiny City it took a few days for him to calm down and settle in.
*Kaz doesn't really feel a need to be in -total- control of everything all the time, but does at least like to know where things are going. Coming to Destiny City was a hell of a shock to him as it was something totally new. But say, if he was invited shopping he'd only need to know that they were -going- and who he was going with. Not necessarily exactly which stores and how long they'd be gone.
D o o r m a t : Let's face it, quiet and polite kids do not rule the school. In fact, quiet and polite kids are usually the ones constantly getting bullied and tortured. While being an exchange student might save him from at least a bit of torment, his personality still lends itself to making him a target. He's the kid that has his homework outright -stolen- and rather than pursue the thief simply does it over. He's the kid getting dragged along on crazy schemes because arguing against them is just wasting time. When he gets walked all over, he will move past his frustration and be polite over it. In fact, he won't even hate you! He just sometimes wishes you wouldn't do these things.
P o i n t o f N o R e t u r n : Everyone has a breaking point, even people like Kaz. When he does finally reach that point (and it does take a damn lot for him to reach it), he simply snaps, patience and politeness flying right out the window. This is when you end up with a tiny, flustered as hell Kaz screaming in your face (or as close as he can reach, ya know). The pented up frustrations are all released in one big violent burst and it's only after he informs you of every thing you did wrong, or just how every little thing ever seemed to somehow mess up a plan of his that he feels better. If...for a moment. Then Kaz starts to feel extremely guilty. So guilty that he usually goes back to his room to cry and have a one-way conversation with Sho wondering why things have to be this way. Sho is usually no help (too busy shrieking, of course), but it at least helps the guilt a little.
N o t e sF a v o r i t e F o o d : Anything involving a good amount of cooked vegetables and rice. He's also quite fond of udon noodles.
H a t e d F o o d : Anything involving an overabundance of meat.

F a v o r i t e C o l o r : Blue
