They had been out in the middle of a typical date. Kazuo still in his work clothes, his hair done in a braid and looped around in a bun to keep it off his neck, hair framing his face.

The mist suddenly started swirling around them, causing the shorter man great distress. Instinct was to turn and fly away, but he was with Kraven! Kraven didn't know his identity; couldn't know his identity.

So instead, he grabbed hold of his boyfriend's arm and held on for dear life. It's not just the fog on the outside, but he can feel it penetrate his mind and it's very unsettling. It causes his gut to bottom out and his heart to leap into his throat.

"Hang on?!"

And just like that, the mist fades out and he opens his eyes.

"...Kraven," Kazuo spoke, his voice almost a whisper, and yet it felt too loud still. "I don't think we're in Destiny City anymore.."

Was he okay?

Loaded question. They were now in some run down, ghost town that was not Destiny City. His heart was hammering in his chest, and he was seriously fighting with himself. He wanted to go to the shadows and transform, where was stronger and could protect Kraven.

Swallowing, he slowly unwrapped himself from the taller man and took a step, then another, starting to walk in a circle around him.

"I'm f-fine..." He shuddered because this place left him with bad vibes. Super, super bad vibes. "Let's... find a way out of here. I don't like it here."

He was quiet as Kraven took his hand, but gave it a grateful squeeze. At least he had an actually big guard dog with him. Kraven could get really protective sometimes.

Home. Yep. Back to Destiny City, that's where he wanted to be. God this was giving him the creeps.

"Aviary?" He said, thinking a moment. Panicked brain was in Japanese in his head, the thoughts coming in his native tongue. It took him a moment to translate before he nodded. "Maybe..."

He walked ahead with Kraven, investigating the windows of the buildings they came next too, checking for any signs of life.

"Where's everyone at?"

His eyes fell upon the chunk of.... something as well. It piqued his interested greatly. Slowly, he reached out to the metal piece that seemed to just be on the outer ledge of this random window. Completely covered in dust.

He cleaned it off with his fingers and examined it so closely, he looked to be going cross eyed before he shrugged. "There's... something there, I think..." he said, looking around. Across the street was another one. Were they on all the windows? "Here." He handed Kraven the first one, and went to fetch a second before cleaning it off. It wasn't perfect at all, but it was a nice weight in his hand.

Kazuo couldn't explain it, but it was like as soon as he held the metal in his hand, that weight was lifted. That compressing, unnerving aura seemed to have dissipated. He licked his lips slowly and turned back to Kraven.

"I am going to keep this," he said, putting it in his pocket. "Maybe it's some kind of.... protection charm? I want to see if I can... examine it if we get home soon.." Maybe under some kind of magnifying glass?

"I mean!" Kazuo flapped his arms, flustered. "Look around us! This isn't Destiny City! I don't know where we are. Some magical place, obviously, so this might be some kind of charm!"

The Japanese man huffed and just rubbed his face a little more before finally making his way back down the street, seeking an exit.

"Yeah, I don't either.." Once more, the shorter man octopused onto his boyfriend's arm, all but chewing on him.

He probably wouldn't either, but it is what it is. They couldn't do anything to change it.

"Oh! Right." He pulled out his phone and tried to open up an app to locate where he was. What he noticed was the fact he had no service. "I figured as much though," he said, checking for any sort of wifi signal. No such luck. Well, he wasn't feeling as bad as when they'd first got here.

Nothing sit right with him still.

"I guess... we just wander...?"
