Sometimes he just had to stay in the house. Kazuo usually had no problem with going to work, coming home briefly and then patrolling at night, but when it was what he did day in and day out, well, it took a toll on the man. His boyfriend was out, doing who knew what. He never really thought about asking. Everyone had to have a way to blow off steam, and he was more than positive Kraven wasn't cheating on him. Maybe he was working out, who knew. Whatever, it didn't matter.

All that mattered to Kazuo is that he was in his favorite hoodie and sweat pants, sitting in front of the TV with a very fresh, hot cheese pizza in front of him. This was a lot of grease for him, but the delicious taste of American pizza was too much for him to resist. He would just work extra hard on his next patrol so he wouldn't get fat.

Brown eyes glanced down at his stomach and he poked it with a thoughtful noise. He wasn't fat, but he felt like he was getting softer. It wasn't like Kazuo had a six pack or many muscles showing, but still! Then a frown pulled at his lips and Kazuo groaned at himself.

“Since when did you care about your looks?” he muttered to himself, grabbing a slice of pizza as he turned on one of his dramas he tended to watch on lazy days like this. He took a bite and just puffed a bit as Ko jumped up next to the pizza box and started sniffing around. A foot kicked out and he made a sharp noise, clicking his tongue and the kitten jumped off the table and darted under the couch he was sitting on.

“Bold move, kit,” he murmured to him, the Japanese rolling off his tongue because he was honestly too lazy to use English right now. It was his day to just be a lump. “This is my pizza. You can go eat your food. It's fancy and wet just like you like it and it cost me a fortune, so stop trying to eat my cheap food.” Kaz huffed and bit into his pizza with a vengance.

As he watched his drama and ate, Kazuo's mind drifted back to Evan, that boy who helped him out, was keeping his secret. He'd put Evan's life at risk, even if he didn't know it. The guild crept up on him and made his stomach churn, which in turn, made him put his slice of pizza down. Ugh, what a mood ruiner. He sighed slowly and dropped his head to the back of the couch, listening to his drama more than watching it now. How was he going to make it up to Evan? If Evan got captured...

Even the best men gave information when terrified or being tortured.

A sad sort of look came across his face as he started to sink into a bout of sadness at that thought. He felt bad for thinking Evan would give out his secret, but he felt even worse that Evan even knew it. He took a deep breath and just swallowed again before flopping to the left, his head coming in contact with the arm of the couch as he slowly curled up. Not even Kraven knew his secret.

A new wave of guilt crashed over him at that thought, his chest tightening hard. He felt like this before, when talking to evan. He realized he did actually like the other. He might have even flirted with him a bit as Quail's Eye. Kraven didn't know about that either, and didn't need to know. That could end up ruining their relationship, couldn't it?

What are you doing, flirting with another guy? You weren't like this before, were you? Are you going to be that unfaithful? It made his stomach churn yet again and he just drew his knees to his chest. If Kraven flirted with someone else he would be pissed. That was called being hypocritical. He rubbed his face into the couch and let out a slow noise before flopping over onto his back.

Ko was ont he table, nibbling on the last slice of his personal pizza and Kazuo couldn't even care. He was lost in a loop of guilt and feeling bad.

Maybe I should tell Kraven that I like Evan..? There'd probably be a fight, though. So...If I don't flirt again, I could keep seeing Evan? Nothing would happen. I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me enough to flirt with me, but...

“How did I get from feeling guilty over Evan knowing my secret to feeling guilty over flirting with him a bit? Ugh! It makes no sense!”

Kazuo kicked his hands and feet out in a fit of rage and half screamed. “My brain is so frusrating! Feelings are hard!” He whined again and just sat up, put his feet together and crossed his arms over his chest, staring at the TV without really seeing it.

“Okay. I need to tell him. ..Somehow. Not my identity, but that..I'm ..vibing with someone? Is that it? I flirted by accident?” He looked back up at the ceiling, head dropped on the back of the couch as he just let out a hard noise. “...I guess so. That's the only way to put it.”

With that figured out, Kazuo shooed his cat away from the pizza and folded the box back. He took it to the fridge, popped it in and then moved back to the couch to wait for Kraven's return.

This could either be the other laughing at him, or lead to a huge fight between the two. Etiehr way, Kazuo felt he had no choice. He sat on this too long. It was time to be completely honest. It was the only way for growth, wasn't it? They could work their way through this. They were a strong couple. ...He hoped.
