Hobbies:
-- Reading: Fantasy books are his addiction. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson. He loves all kinds of heroic books. Slowly he's getting more into the D&D style books. His home is filled to the brim with books that are well loved and stacked neatly in various places.

-- Painting: There's a whole deck dedicated to painting. He's screened in the deck and put a roof over it so he can go out there in any weather. Oil paintings are what he loves. Painting beachscapes, starting to dabble in fantasy dragon paintings. Even little figures for he's trying his hand at.

-- Going to the beach: Not for soaking up the sun. He goes at random times of the days to just sit on the sand and stare off at the ocean. He takes his paints with him. It's his favorite spot that gives him the most inspiration. He does try to go when there's hardly anyone there.

Virtues:
-- Kind and gentle: If you ask him for change, River would give it to you. If he notices someone ahead of him can't pay for something at a store, and he has the cash, he'll pay for them. He doesn't do it for any reason other than sometimes all people need is a little kind act to make their day. He'd help little children find their parents, or puppies, help rescue injured birds if he sees them.

-- Calm and collected: In heated situations, River can usually think with a calm head. It carries over in his day to day life easily enough. He never feels like he's in a hurry. He's more helpful to himself, and others, if he keeps his chill. It's hard to get him riled up, really.

-- Agreeable: He tends to put the needs of others first, and doesn't really like to compete at anything. He's there to keep fights from happening and keep things relaxed.

Flaws:
-- Closed book: The thing is, River doesn't like to talk about himself. There are things he doesn't want to share. It takes a great deal of trust for River to start telling you about himself more than the surface level. Takes him a long time to start cracking jokes around anyone he doesn't consider his friend.

-- Deflection: Since he won't answer many questions about himself, River's gotten very good at deflection. He can turn any topic around so he's not talking about the problems. It hurts in the long run, because he still does this with his loved ones and friends.

-- Escapist: River spends time in his head a lot. Reading, painting, anything to not face reality. He's happiest when he's in his head. He daydreams in the middle of conversations, and doesn't drive because he's wrecked while thinking about a painting he was wanting to do instead of paying attention to the road.


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Bright purple

Hair: Long and dark blue - straight and goes below his butt, between his butt and his knees. Usually worn down and loose, but if getting physical he will tie it back into a loose ponytail. Sometimes in a messy bun piled on his head.

Face: Triangle face shape, straight, pointed nose. Always sleepy looking eyes.

Skin Tone: Light tan with freckles - Tattoo of a lark on his chest, above his heart, and lark wings tattooed onto his back, down the backs of his arms.

Body Type: Typical skinny man

Clothes: Loose fitting pants, not jeans, but not sweats. Oversized shirts over long sleeved shirts that are more tight fitting. Chunky boots. Lots of necklaces.
