Likes: Fresh air, being alone, sweet food, sleeping in, going on walks, pretty things, pretty clothing, making friends, and most other things. He's also gotten a fondness for Kyruie and it's lead him along the path to become a healer, something he's eager to show off to his friend.

Dislikes: Getting smothered by his mother and the idea of being stuck with a permanent attendant. He also has issues with black outs, something that also bothers him greatly, as well as a few other problems.

ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO

Aspirations: His aspirations are a little iffy at the moment since he is just now free of his master but is still being led around by his mother who is a very overwhelming sort. He isn't really certain about what it is that he wants to do other then to 'get strong' so that he can help his friend Kyruie and protect him. He doesn't think he'd be too good with a weapon so it's magic that he has some interest in, he just needs to find a way to learn it is all.

Personality: Tera is overall a sweet, naive, and somewhat simple sort. He can be quite childish at times, following the 'wrong' people around, looking for friends, getting lost, and the like. They are all things that make his mother want to protect him that much more from himself, afraid of him getting lost or hurt. He's a kind person that wants to help others, but he's still sort of learning how to do that.

Deep down though, in the back of his mind more often then not, is another person, his 'other' who is far more serious, sarcastic, and unfriendly. That part of him normally serves as a voice in the back of his head, shouting orders and advice that often goes unheeded, bother times he comes to the surface to look after and protect Tera from having to deal with all the bad things that life wants to throw Tera's way.

Bio: Tera was born to a free family in the Matori lands and was free himself for but a few years before he was snagged by a master from Oban. After that things got a lot more dicey, a life that few would want to live, under the command of a man with heavy hands.It's a life that Tera ended up only recalling bits and pieces of, seemingly suffering from black out moments, and thus doesn't really know how bad it actually got between him and his master. The other part of him, a part he barely knows about save for hearing it's voice in the back of his head, seemed to have taken the brunt of the punishment, protecting Tera from all the bad things. Due to that fact alone it's no small wonder that Tera's Other is a rather unfriendly being.

The war between the 'savages' of the North and the Obans was something that Tera was barely made aware of, not really even hearing about it in detail until it was over and he found himself freed from his master and put into the care of those that called themselves his parents. It's a strange situation he finds himself in as he really doesn't feel at home, not really recognizing his parents or really remembering all that much from his past.

His mother was made quite happy by his return but his father is another story, the man isn't pleased with Tera's appearance seeing him as an usurper who is stealing his lost son's place. The difference between his parents opinions, as well as the new 'friends' he's met are going to end up pulling and pushing him in various directions but hopefully he will end up going in the what will be the 'right' direction.

~ Tera is a strange sort, a little off after his extended time with his old master, and doesn't seem to quite fit into his old life that he was freed to return to. He's stuck dealing with his mother as she frets over him like a little child and all but smothers him with her attention. She's doing her best though so he is doing all he can to allow it, not wanting to hurt her feelings. What he'd really like though is some breathing room.

~ After some bumps along the way Tera has found a teacher, one willing to deal with his 'special issues', training him how to use the elements as well how to heal. With his new found powers he wants to try to help Kyruie, as well as others around him, the best that he can. He is still learning and has a lot to figure out still, but he's doing his best.

~ Tera and his other have moved out, getting a place of their own at long last. It's a bit lonely but it's better then being under the eyes of his smothering mother and the man that claims that Tera isn't his son. It will take some getting used to but it's better then where he was so he will take it.

Good:

~ Kyruie: The one that Tera likes most (though Tera's Other doesn't care for him) he follows him around a lot, chats with him, bothers him, and is currently in the care of Kyruie's older brother Ashta as well as Kyruie who was dragged in against his will.

~ Ashta: Super serious, lacking a bit in a sense of humor. Tera isn't quite sure how to deal with him though Tera's Other much prefers him to Kyruie. If Tera is stuck with a bodyguard/babysitter he should at least go with the one that isn't what Kyrue is... or so the voice in his head says. Often.

Earthlings: Water

The people of Matori live in small, very humble huts and shacks in Matori's cities and villages. Their conditions in the larger villages are cramped, while the outskirts spread farther out to accommodate what farming they can do to provide for themselves. Their proximity at all times to the water has made light and loose clothing something of a norm, as well as anything aquatic and fish inspired designs.

The water earthlings are one of the most unique looking race of earthlings in Tendaji, with blue-green skin and lighter green markings that seem to be located in the same location and pattern for all the people of Matori with only the slightest variation in the number of dots. They do not have crystals, and their eyes are a golden-yellow or orange in color with pupils that sit as horizontal ovals rather than the perfect circle. Their ears are arguably their most unique feature, seeming to have taken on the resemblance of a fin, with an almost transparency to them. Their hair is commonly black but can range from mid to very dark blue-greens and greens, and their eyebrows seem to grow in patches rather than a continuous line.

The people of Matori have been under the control of Oba for as long as they have known in their histories. While they and born and raised in Matori, the majority of their inhabitants are picked as slaves at any variation of age depending on the work that needs doing. Now that they have been freed of their bondage to Obans, their culture is beginning to find ways to separate itself from the fire earthlings and become something unique.

Religion: The people of Matori, due to their close though rather forced relationship with Oba, believe in the same pantheon of Gods and Goddesses as their former enslavers, though a few of the names seem to have shifted and evolved. There is always a different name to pray to depending on the situation at hand. The major players in their pantheon include:
Nessat King of Gods, god of judgement (Oba: Nerad)
Ome Essd Queen of Gods, goddess of life and death (Oba: Essd)
Drach'ti God of storms and rain (Oba: Drach)
On'os God of time and fortune
Len Goddess of fishing and feasts (Oba: Lenoxe)

Ubeli'ae Godess of the moon and ocean (Oba: Ubeli)
Atun God of the sun, forging fires, and desert

Government: Having been under the control of Oba for so long, there isn't much of a governmental system for the people of Matori. They have lived their lives and their history as the very bottom rank of Oba's governmental views. Now that they have been freed of their oppressors, they are beginning to establish their own government based on a group of counselors who live on the market chain to the south. Those who have problems seek out a meeting with the counselors to come to a solution. Counselors are usually the most successful merchants and some of the strongest warriors during the War.
