A few weeks had passed since Xewai had met a very kind Matorian on the beach. In his own recklessness, he had found himself injured, and Tera was kind enough to stop and assist for a while, until he was back on his feet. It was there that he was introduced more intimately with the world of magic! Yes, he knew it existed, and yes, he knew that there were people who regularly practiced it, but it was his own first encounter with magic that wasn't used to blatantly hurt people. And it more that piqued his interest in the matter, especially after learning that he really could use a magical ability to protect others.
In the weeks that followed, he had done his best to do more research into tapping his own dormant abilities to no success. Perhaps it was due to the fact that he wasn't very booksmart and the words often made no sense, or perhaps it was the fact that none of the people in his organization had ever tapped into it to, so he couldn't follow by example. Heck, it could have even been the possibility that he just didn't have any magical potential in the first place. The thought crossed his mind more than once, but Xewai was never one to give up! It was a matter of waiting, after all the group was planning on going back to that village where he knew of a teacher.
And yes, it took some time, but he was there again! The bustling little village proved a great place for some of the Buhawi's work, so they organized another trip there, to which the young Matorian demanded (okay, actually pleaded) to go with them. After taken care of business, he was free to roam the village for a time, and the first stop was to buy a gift for the Teacher and her student. Why? Because gifts were well received before wanting to ask for something, right? Asking for things for free were always so rude! Plus, maybe he wanted to get the young man a gift in thanks for helping him that day. On the day of the incident, he did promise the man a wish, but was refused. Totally understandable, since he really didn't have much to give. But now, he could! He had worked his little blue butt off trying to make enough money for a spectacular gift, and he was pleased with his purchases. The only thing that was left to do was to give them away.
Some deep thinking and running around in circles later, Xewai finally found himself before the place Tera had mentioned before. Was he supposed to just knock on the door? Ooh, or maybe a magical spell would allow him in! But if that were the case, he was screwed... Or maybe he should just shout! But what if someone was concentrating! He could mess them up so badly! The same could be said about the door knocking too. Xewai couldn't understand why he suddenly felt so nervous about introducing himself. He was imagining the Teacher to be a scary lady, with a snarl instead of a smile, who was pessimistic and he just didn't know if he could handle that. Or worse, the teacher just straight up slammed the door in his face after telling him he had no magic...
NO. No no no no, he wouldn't let that be the case! He wouldn't be so shy and turn around now! Just as much as he wanted to see if he had magic, he wanted to see Tera again! He wanted to give the gifts he had picked out for him as well! He couldn't let some sort of sudden timidness stop him!
So, he shifted the items in his arms around and knocked loudly on the door. Orpheus Solon Let me know if this is Okay! This RP is supposed to be with Terasu as well~

Sometime after the knock on the door it was pulled open, with a tall, muscular man standing there on the other side. He gave the one standing there a once over, seemingly sizing him up. It was nobody that he knew so that meant that he was likely one his mother's students. As though she needed another one to deal with when he had her 'problem student' with her today. Giving a half shrug he said to the stranger, "My mother is out in the yard if that is who you're looking for." He said, pointing over his shoulder with a thumb toward the door across the way that would lead Xewai to the backyard, "I would ask that you don't make a lot of noise when you go out, those two are practicing with that lightning magic and it's pretty likely to go awry if they get distracted." Taking a step back he allowed him to go by if he wanted to, feeling that if he wanted to meet with his mother that he'd seek her out. He had other things to do then just tend to his mother's students after all. Xewai would be left on his own to go seek out Azania if he wanted to do so. Outside he would find a pair of Matori, one of which would look familiar to him. Tera stood alongside a lovely, older Matorian woman with silver hair, the pair of them seemingly weaving bolts of lighting from their hands toward the clouds. It was a difficult spell as it was one of the more 'wild' elements, but they seemed to have it under control at the moment.

When the door opened, the young Matorian could not help but stare for a few moments. This man before him was just the spitting image of the kinda person he wanted to be. So strong, and a little intimidating, but there was no denying the power he had. And with that power came the potential to protect! Xewai wondered if the man was there to serve as protection for the teacher and her students, but with how amazing the power they could weild, it seemed more than unlikely.
"I'm kinda a student... Maybe A student? I'm gonna ask! Oooh! But here!" Xewai reached into the bundle he was holding and pulled out a warm pastry that was shaped like a Clam shell and covered in powered sugar. "Thank you for the directions! I brought them for the teacher, but I got extra cuz I'm greedy So you can have this one!"
He didn't wait much longer after that, placing the sweet in the other's hand quickly, before giving a happy grin and darting behind the house to see the magic users at work.
Heeding the advice of the man, he kept as quiet as a mouse as he approached. What they were doing, weaving lightning out of thin air, was so magnificent... Where did it even come from?! Xewai found himself biting his lip to keep his excitement to himself. Atleast, until they were safe. And when they were...
"That's so amazing!

Jraie found himself starring at the treat that was handed over to him, a look of confusion on his face. After a moment he turned, watching the strange young man as he ran off, then shrugged, "Well that was something." He murmured to himself before he lifted the treat up, taking a bite out of it as he closed the front door and went back to what he'd been doing previously. He wasn't sure how well the treats would go over with one of those that was outside but he was sure that his mother would likely be a fan. It would work well as a way to get the training that the young man seemed to want. He'd leave it to the stranger and wish him luck. Outside the pair continued on with their casting until the younger of the two let the spell go, leaning over to rest his hands on his knees, working on catching breath. The woman next to him gave a smile and said, "You're getting better with your casting, Su, you should really keep it up. I see you becoming quite adept with the magic at your disposal in no time." Giving a little shrug Terasu pushed up right, lifting a hand to wipe sweat from his brow, then pushed back his hair, "Yeah, yeah... we will see I suppose. Still a huge pain that I can't use some of those stupid healing spells though." He complained. Power like that would be useful for those times when he woke up from nightmares with pounding headaches but no, that idiot got to have all the healing powers! How fair was that?! As Xewai came out of seemingly no where, describing what they had been doing as 'so amazing' the pair turned to him. Terasu starred a minute, "Who... oh great... it's you." He muttered, rubbing a hand against his face with a grumbling sound, "I trust you haven't tried to catch yourself again since last time?" Azania looked between the pair before she asked, "A friend of yours?" A question that got a noncommittal sound from Terasu before she looked at Xewai and said, "Good day, my name is Azania, and you are?"

The greeting that Xewai received from the familiar face wasn't quite what he had expected, but he still recieved it warmly. The kinda grouchiness that was displayed, he just chalked it up to being tired. After all, he WAS just working on lightning stuff!
"I promise I have tried something so dangerous again! Not after all the hard work you did to make me well again!" After a quick wave to Su, Xewai turned to Azania and bowed.
Good day to you, ma'am! I'm Xewai, and few weeks ago I was rescued on the beach by your wonderful student! The details are kinda gross, but he managed to patcheck me up right quick like it was nothing!" Just the very thought of such kindness that day made the adoration that the prentice felt towards Tera swell even more! Alas, he could not neglect the very reason he was here! "If you have some time... I, um... I wanted to see if you could find any magical potential in me. I'm rather inept at most things that don't involve the ocean or information gathering but I'd still like to try! OH! I also brought a few pastries and some tea from my southern Island as payment, if that would be acceptable!"
This time, Xewai came closer to the woman and offered up his basket of goodies. All off the sweets inside were shaped like shells and we're still warm to the touch. The other gift he brought just for Tera was Left in his pocket. After all, it wasn't important at this time.

Azania lifted an eyebrow, turning to glance toward her student, giving a bit of a chuckle, "Is that true, Su? Did you save this young man?" She asked, sounding somewhere between surprised and amused. She didn't quite think that it was this student, but she couldn't help but to want to tease him a bit. He really did need to learn to take it easier if you asked Azania but that just wasn't something that Su seemed to want to do. Giving a huffing sound Terasu said, "I wasn't the one that saved you! You know full well that I don't have those sorts of powers! Besides, who would want to save some idiot that brought such a thing upon themselves!" He crossed his arms over his chest and looked away, his frustration rising as his teacher teased him about saving the fishing fool! If it was him in control that day instead of Tera he'd of just walked the other way and left him to deal with his own folly! Tera wasted good magic on a moron! Giving a laugh Azania turned to look over at Xewai and said, "Well, I am glad that one of my students was able to help you out. Perhaps one day in the far future Su will be more willing to save someone other then Tera." She glanced at the gifts the young man held and gave a smile, "Pastries and tea, huh? That sounds nice. We should definitely see about brewing the tea, then we can all sit down, eat the pastries and talk." Glancing at her student she said, "That means you too, Su."

"But... Huh? But you did save me.. I mean, you used ice! And you had a cute snakey thing with you. And you were kind..." It hadn't occurred to Xewai that Tera wasn't the same right now... Maybe he just had memory loss! Or maybe he was just cranky or something. He wasn't that forgettable, was he? He couldn't hide the disappointment on his face, however, and he looked more hurt than he had in a while.
"I'm sorry I had been such a bother that day. I hadn't expected any help at all, so I was really, truly happy you stopped to assist... I thought I was going to be hurt the entire way home back to the south. But you're right... I am just an idiot who did it to themselves. I'm sorry.." Xewai's smile was rueful now, and his eyes were cast to the ground. The hands that were holding up the basket dropped a little. As nice as Azania was being about the gifts, it didn't seem to perk him up like it normally would have. As optimistic as he really was, this just hurt...
"That sounds like a wonderful Idea, Ms. Azania. I can brew the tea if you point me to the right direction." His mind wandered to the tall man who had sent him in this direction and he smiled a bit more earnestly. He was super cool looking.. "Do you think the man who opened the door would want to join us?"

Seeing Terasu getting a bit twitchy Azania lifted a hand, wagging a finger in front of his eyes before she looked at Xewai and said, "Come, we will sit down and talk, and we will see about explaining a few things to you, young Xewai." She told him, leading the way inside before she said, "You needn't worry about brewing the tea. We can do it. It will allow Su to practice keeping a steady flame." Something that made Terasu sigh before he nodded his head, "Fine..." Holding a steady flame, one that could brew tea, wasn't easy. In fact it was the opposite and for someone with Terasu's temperament it was made that much harder. He walked over to the table that was sitting just inside the door that lead inside, plopping down in one of the chairs. Azania motioned to Xewai, "You sit too, I will fetch the tea pot." She said, then gave a pause, "Hm? Ah! You must mean my son, Jraie. I can ask him as I get the pot and the cups. No promises though." She knew that her son wasn't the best when it came to socializing groups, but she could always offer him tea and pastries as a way to win him over. Giving a little nod of her head to the pair she headed off toward the kitchen at a quick pace, not wanting to leave them alone for too long.

Xewai had no idea what was going on now... Something needed explaining? It seemed pretty obvious what was going on... Tera didn't really like him, and that was okay. Not everyone was gonna like everyone else, but he really thought he had made a friend that day on the beach. Well, either way, he was still here to see the teacher. Oddly quiet, Xewai followed the teacher into the house and smiled when she said she'd bring the other in. Atleast maybe he could make a friend out of him...
At her instructuion, Xewai took a seat at the table and set the basket on top of it, watching the woman disappear into the other room. He did still have a gift to give to Tera, even if he was being so awful...
"I... Um, I have something for you... I know you don't like me now, and I'm sorry I'm so stupid, but I am grateful for what you did so... Here..."
He reached into the pouch on his hip and pulled out another smaller pouch, and set it on the table, along with what looked like a stone set into a long wooden talismen with random phrases of encouragement carved in. The prentice still couldn't seem to bring his gaze up to look at Tera again, though, instead just pushing the items towards him.
"It's homemade rock candy... I know you didn't want some before, but I made it just for you, with some melon syrup so it was flavored... And this is a good luck charm with the stones found on the Beach where I live, since the color made me think of your eyes... Since you are studying for things... I can't grant real wishes but... But I thought some encouragement would be nice... I'm sorry it wasn't more..."

Terasu drew in a breath, holding it for a moment, then let it out between clenched teeth in a hissing sound before he finally slammed a hand down on the table, "Damn it, I am not that idiot! I didn't save you! I didn't do anything that would deserve any sorts of gifts so just knock it off!" He snapped, rising up onto his feet, "I am not your friend and you sure as hell aren't mine, you don't even know who I am, do you?!" He didn't like this, being forced to hear so much praise being sprinkled upon Tera who was such a coward in so many ways. He was the strong one but it was Tera that this idiot before him wanted to give all manner of presents to! It was enraging, making him want nothing more then to just turn on his heel and leave the room. Giving a growing sound he said in a demanding manner, "What is my name? Do you even know it?" Of course he didn't, few people did, and it was only something that he'd gotten recently from that idiot Kyruie. Curse Kyruie, curse him for giving him a name that actually seemed to make Terasu want for more then just to keep Tera safe... it complicated everything! "Relax and sit down, Su. You're yelling in a manner that let's everyone in the house hear you." Azania said as she walked back into the room, a tray in hand that had held the tea pot, a metal stand for it, and enough cups for three. Sitting the tray down she set up the stand, with the tea pot on top, then passed out the three cups, "Jraie says that he regrets it but will be sitting this one out since it's likely to be magical talk and that was never something he was interested in." After sitting down she patted the table and said, "Sit down, Su, and see to the fire." Glancing at Xewai she said, "If you want to add the tea leaves to the pot before it gets too hot?" She asked this of him after Su had sat down again with a huff and set about summon up a flame under the tea pot, stuck concentrating on keeping it alight and small enough that it wouldn't cause any damage.

It had been a truly long time since Xewai had felt so little of himeself. What did he do, where did he mess up so badly that the person who had been so kind to him before turned cruel? What had he missed? Where did he mess up? In stunned silence, he raked his memories over and over and over again. His name was Tera, wasn't it? Then why did it feel so wrong to say?
With nothing else seeming right, and with his heart all the way in his throat, Xewai did the only thing he felt he was any good at right now. He cried.
A silent cry, where his eyes were still cast down at the ground, but tears still dripped down leaving wet stains on the back of his hands.
"I'm sorry..." In the end, he was still a kid. One who was far too sensitive to the thoughts and feelings of others. When the teacher returned, he was already on his feet, clumsily pushing the chair in.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry.. I messed up and I don't know how to fix it... I'm sorry... I'll go, I'm incompetent and just... I'm sorry.."

Azania gave a sighing sound, shaking her head, and said in a voice was that of a mother, "Xewai, child, you are not at fault here... and I suppose neither is Su. It's a very strange situation and one that took me time to really understand myself." She said, lifting a hand to open up the tea pot and took the leaves from Xewai, adding them into the pot himself, "Keep your flame steady, Su." A comment that had him grumbling as he focused his power, feeding more energy into the flame, his eyes on it instead of on Xewai at the moment. He didn't want to look at him because, at the moment at least when he wasn't chattering senselessly like a bird, he was a bit pathetic like Tera. It kind of made him feel a little... guilty. Which he really didn't like. Once the tea was brewing she settled down in her seat again, seemingly considering the pair for a moment, Azania asked of Xewai, "It's safe to assume that you met with Tera, yes? He was the one that healed your wounds and helped you from... well, whatever dire situation that you found yourself in?"

This wasn't his fault? It certainly didn't feel like that to be the case... With her words and voice so gentle, he still found himself stopping, waiting to see what she'd finish saying. And it confused him greatly; why did she speak of it as if he want here? He was, wasn't he?
"I did meet Tera. He helped me when I caused myself to get fish hooks in my back... And he spoke to me Bout magic, and how I could protect people with it..." There was the urgem to look back at the man in the room, to search his eyes to see if the person who helped him was still there.. But he wasn't going to risk being yelled at again. He didn't think he'd be able to handle that kinda beratement without crying harder than he already was.
"You called him Su... Was I mistaken? If... If I was, then... Then... " He did manage to look at Su this time, eyes a little red from the tears and his expression being one of just sorrow and shame. "I am sorry... I am... But, still, why would you not just say who you are? Why did you feel the need to... To talk bad about someone?"

Azania looked at Su, who was ignoring Xewai best that he could even as the young man demanded answers from him. She gave another shake of her head before giving Xewai a smile, "Well... you were and weren't mistaken, Xewai. Terasu is Tera's other, another person entirely but they share the same body. It's the first time that I have run across such a chase but as you can tell they are very different people, different motivations, they even use different magic from one another." A comment that made Terasu's flame flare up for a moment before he got it under control once more. "As for why he is as he is... well, he only knows how to be like this. He has a rough time when he was little." She said, giving Terasu a long, sympathetic look before she said, "Su, you really should apologize. I know you only care about Tera and Kyruie, but you need to consider giving others a chance as well if you mean to stick around." Terasu's flame flared up again, his eyes going wide before he spat out, "I don't care about Kyruie!" He didn't damn it! Who would care about a moron like that? One that was off to get married soon to some woman that he didn't even want. Giving a hissing sound between his teeth he turned to glare at Xewai for a long moment before he turned away, waving a hand, then muttered in a grumbling manner, "Fine! I'm sorry."

"Oh..." Two people in one body sounded more than a little fake to Xewai, but what did he even know. And the very thought that Su had a hard time growing up instinctively turned his own hurt and offense into more of a concerned and sympathetic feeling. If he had been raised during the war... That also meant that no one had hired the Buhawi to rescue him... How sad and lonely that must have been..
"Su... Thank you... I'll try not to be so... So big of a reckless inept fool, so you don't have any more of a reasonto dislike me." With a rub of his eyes and a sniffle, Xewai turned to Azania with a look of puffy determination, even if his eyes still seemed to be watering a bit.
"I want to help people... Like how so many people help me. And I want to protect people, like how the Buhawi did. If I can use magic, I can do that, right? I could put up shields and heal people. And I could take care of myself... I wouldn't have to burden anyone again... So how can I find this out?
