Siha was getting irritated; here they were on an awesome adventure and he wasn't allowed out! Da said they weren't exactly welcome here but Siha didn't see why not. Unless Da had done something bad? But then why were they here? They were here and Mum kept leaving and coming back okay... so why couldn't he? Surely it wasn't that bad!

He stared longingly out the window at the blue horizon; he wanted to go down and see the ocean! All his short life he'd lived in the desert of Oba and he wanted to go play in that big blue expanse! It looked like the sky had fallen to earth! But nooooooo he had to stay here where it was safe... He peeked over at the napping figure of his father; maybe if he left and then came back before Da woke up he wouldn't get in trouble?

He paused for only a moment before clambering out the window and dropping the few feet into the flower box. He was not staying inside! Siha was a big boy! He could do this!

The small hybrid boy scampered off quickly towards the beach so focused on his destination he didn't notice some scowls tossed his way.

Tera had taken up heading to the beach to work on his magical practice during the times when he didn't want to be at home but his magic teacher wasn't at her place. It was a nice, calm place with great scenery, that he felt comfortable in. It was the perfect sort of place to work on the mastery of various spells, preparing himself for a time ahead when he would start learning more complicated, more powerful spells. His teacher made it sound as though he'd nearly mastered the spells that he knew and that he shouldn't think too hard on the ones that he had yet to get to work. Not everyone was meant to master every element she'd told him before ruffling his hair.

Currently the mage was standing knee deep in the water, one tome in hand, casting a spell that would manipulate the water around him. It appeared to be a simple thing, making the water swirl and dance around him, but it given how much water he was working with it was a tad bit exhausting. Still, it was the best way that he'd learned to really push his powers. The more of an element he worked with the better because it pushed him to the extreme with each particular spell.

His casting paused though, the water returning to its normal lapping against the beach as he spotted a rather odd looking youngling on the beach. He glanced from side to side for a moment before murmuring, "Is he alone?" That couldn't be right, surely he couldn't be here on his own? Not that it was any of Tera's business what some brat was doing, he should instead return to training said the voice in the back of his head. A voice he ignored for the moment if only because he was worried that maybe the little one was lost... or even worse, abandoned. He really should check on him. The voice in the back of his head sighed in a heavy, long suffering manner as Tera stepped out of the water.
