Nevara grew up with her dad, and older brother, only ever meeting her mother once before she got old enough to live on her own. She traveled the area with her close friend [Taigi] until she got pregnant [by him] and was left by herself to care for the little ones. Growing scared and more aloof others sought to help her get through her rut. But she cared for her children and took every day as it came, every day it got easier and easier to move on. But it was only when Taigi came back to her did she feel truly happy.

Short Summary of their plotline: Tai and Nev are a childhood-best-friends-turned-lovers kind of story. Taigi stumbled upon the filly when he snuck away from his family one day, and they've been companions ever since. They discovered their own little cove in their homeland, where they later chose to raise their children, as well as traveled out of its safety on much greater ventures together. During one of these travels, they've gotten intoxicated on a certain, unknown plant, and did as an enamored couple does to produce offspring. This substance, however, seriously messed with their memories, and therefore left Taigi oblivious to the growth of his lover's belly. As the foals grew in Nevara, Taigi called it off as simple weight gain, until one day he went off in search of sustenance for Nevara on the fateful night that their young were to be born, and came back to quite a scene... One of Nevara tending to newborns. This truly frightened him, and he fled in a panic..
He returned months later, with a sudden shift of wind and change of heart. A realization, if you must. He fought relentlessly for Nevara's affection and received it, though his children had a harder time accepting him. He now lives a calm, settled life with Nevara, his daughters visiting as they please, though running their own lives. He is very content with his family and would go to any length to protect them.

What is their family dynamics? Taigi and Nevara are now inseparable. They will involve their children with the family as much as possible, and Taigi will be sure he is more than present for his children.
Traditions: Each foal is encouraged to set out on an adventure of their own when they hit adolescence (kinda like Rumspringa) before they choose whether they'd like to live within the herd or leave to explore the land further. Aside from that, traditions are being developed with the herd's growth.
Herd/Family culture: Very family-centered, family being a word that encompasses Soquili and familiars beyond the bloodline. It is not a word used lightly, however, and means a tremendous amount of respect and trust in the herd. Aside from that, it is set up very traditionally where the able-bodied (male or female) protect the weak no matter what, and these "able-bodied" Soquili are generally offspring of the core bloodline, trained by their fathers.
Religious Beliefs: They believe in no Gods, but they believe in the positive nonfictional powers of Angeni and the sporadic powers of the elements. An encounter with an Angeni is seen as a spiritual one, however, in the slightest form that it may bring good fortune upon the family.

If a Girl: Extremely resourceful. She will stick close to her father, eating up all the attention he can offer. With his knowledge of travel and everything related to such, his daughter will absorb the information like a sponge and become a walking, talking wilderness handbook.

Short Bio: Alvilda was born to a greedy stallion who sought to expand his herd's territory through giving away his daughter as a prize. With no suitable prospects before her, Alvilda fled. It wasn't long before she was picked up by a two-legger pirate ship. She was used as a lure then- paraded before villagers as a prize to be bought, and then using her mouth to open gates and let in the pirates when the villagers slept. Her ship was sailing near soquili lands when it ran afoul of a storm, crashing and leaving Alvilda stranded on the beach.

Short Bio Galilee is also a pirate, but of a different sort. He worked with an airship, ferrying goods back and forth with the use of his mechanical wings. He also helped in their raids, his wings making him markedly useful to bridge the distance between airship and ground.

Short Summary of their plotline: They met on Alvilda's beach, and despite Alvilda's mistrust of stallions, she saw something she liked in his cocksure behavior. Galilee suggested traveling to find her two-legged companions, treasure, and adventure, and Alvilda agreed. Short Bio
Don't let that demure smile fool you; Reila has never known anything but her own beauty. Mercilessly spoiled as a filly, she has grown up believing that others should bow at her hooves. Yes, that means you. Consequently, she has little tolerance for mistakes, and is even more unlikely to forgive them.
Somewhere along the way, she learned how to act, to feign compassion and kindness in order to take advantage of the naïve. This mare builds relationships with others if they benefit her, and drops them just as easily if she has nothing to gain from them. Everything is about her, after all. Because of this, while her circle of associates is wide, she lacks true, meaningful friendships. This hasn't bothered her too much—yet.
She's gotten along well enough alone so far, and prefers keeping others at an arm's distance. What she won't admit is that she distrusts other Soquili because she feels that entrusting her heart to others is a vulnerability—a way to penetrate her otherwise perfect armor. Because she's afraid of getting hurt, she puts up the superficial wall around her, effectively alienating herself from all Soquili... even the good ones. It's up to a certain stallion to help her change her ways.

Adolescent - Regulus was a little naive as a youth, he tried hard to fit in but found that he simply didn't, so after his training was complete he found himself wandering. Eventually he found someone who taught him to read the stars, and the connection he found seemed to fit, this was when he started to use them to guide him.... believing that fate would lead him to where he was needed. Yet one day he found himself in over his head, a dying mare, wounded by a SW lay at his feet as he tried to desperatly to heal her.... only to lose her. It was this that motivated him to become the best healer he could, and slowly it consumed his life.
Adult - He is a very shy creature, and at times he lacks a lot of social skills that most take for granted. The only time he seems completely comfortable is when he is healing someone, and his nurturing instinct takes over. Of course this mostly means he has a good heart, disliking to see anyone in pain... in fact one of the techniques he has developed over the years is where he absorbed and transfered to himself while he heals them -it helps him to get to the route of the problem quicker. He is a big softy though, and although he would never go looking for it when he finds love it hits him hard... of course if he should lose it he will be left broken.

Short Summary of their plotline:
Regulus and Reila meet under a starry night, the former having been guided there through his healer instinct. What he learns is that Reila is not in need of being physically healed, but spiritually healed. That night, one thing leads to another, and Reila finds herself with child.
They all try to stay together as a family at first, but Regulus's need to continue travelling so that he continue to heal those that need him starts to eat at his and Reila's relationship... which eventually breaks them up. As a result he takes one of the children with him while the other remains with their mother; he would never stop the children from meeting but he knows that if he meets Reila again it will break his heart as he truly believed he loved her.
After he breaks up with Reila he will slowly start to feel that he can't travel anymore, partly for the child he now has dependent on him.... so he decides to open a clinic for those who need him to come to him. Of course he will often look to the stars and remember everything. He just wants the best for his child, and his heart always wonders what Reila and his other child are doing.
The unexpected pregnancy and children will change Reila's outlook, because it will force her to think beyond her selfishness. But because she's been alone only up to this point, she begins to depend very much on Regulus. He becomes her love, her rock, her greatest friend. She's shattered when he tells her that they can't continue together. The child she takes along with her grows to remind her of Regulus in every way. And while all her energy now goes into raising him(her?), her heart still pines for her other child... and more so for Regulus.

What is their family dynamics?
Going along with the plot, there will be one child with each parent after they separate. However, Reila will make a large effort to have the children be able to meet each other often, in hopes of seeing Regulus again one day.
Traditions:
Regulus was brought up in respecting nature, and so he will try to encourage all of his children to have a basic understanding of the plants around them and their properties. He hopes that it will allow them to survive when they eventually go off on their own, and even if they don't show any unicorn traits he wants them to be able to heal themselves a little and know what to do when they are in trouble. His family also have taken names from the stars, and although part of him wants to give his children names of stars. Also he considers Reila to be his 'Moon', brighter than any star and ever changing so he wants one of his children at least to have a moon related name.
Herd/Family culture:
Both parents, separate or together, are wanderers. As such they are quite solitary, but both now value the idea of family, even if they do not practice it in the traditional sense.
Reila's family is Oriental. (the custom was loosely based on Vietnamese traditional wear)
Religious Beliefs:
Regulus is not religious - he believes only in destiny and fate.
Since meeting Regulus, Reila has developed an appreciation for spirituality. She is presently agnostic, but takes the time to see beauty in life around her and ponders upon the existence of a greater being.

Name: Koray
This boy will grow up to act very much like his father. Ever shy, and even awkward at times, Koray has a heart of gold and becomes very protective of his mother. He will be very stubbornly vested in the livelihood and physical and spiritual well-being of others. This doesn't mean he'll necessarily become a healer (dependent on whether he gets a horn), but he will spend much of his time trying to help all other creation in any way possible.
Reila will try to teach him not to be so trusting, but this is something he can only learn for himself.

Upon first glance, this child will seem very much like her mother in all of her beauty and serenity. However, she'll never go through the aloof, standoffish stage that Reila went through, instead letting nature direct her peacefully along every step of her life. Because she doesn't talk much, it's hard to see what's going on in her head, but one can be sure that whatever it is is virtuous. And whatever she decides, she will be resolute in it.
Many times she will baffle and irritate her mother because of this, but Reila will come to appreciate the calm that Regulus' invisible influence has brought on their daughter.

Name: Sin -- Sumerian name meaning 'wisdom', in mythology he is the son of the Moon.
Sin resents his father at times, hating the fact that he was dragged away from his mother and other sibling(s).... but for the most part he has a good heart like his father. He is moody and sulky at times, prefering his own company than that of others. He is known to get a little riled up and get in fights. (If he has a unicorn horn) He will hate that his father tries to 'force' him to believe that he has a responsiblity to help others and this will cause him to drift away and go in search of his own destiny.

Name: Luna -- Roman myth name of a moon goddess.
She is very happy and chirpy, the total polar opposite to her father. Enjoys playing and singing, dancing and laughing. At times she is a hooveful since she doesn't always know when she should 'stop' and pushes too hard... her intentions are pure and innocent though. She will find herself getting into trouble on several occasions.... for example she will try to 'fly' because of an ancient fairy tail of a unicorn that reached the Moon. (If she has unicorn features) she will get confused about what to do with her ability, and will often get it wrong ending up having no effect on the injury she is trying to heal, though she will keep trying.

Short Bio Sabella comes from an entirely kirin herd with strict patriarchal views. As a result she adopted strict views on how she and other mares should act at any given point in time. She left her herd, after being presented a "choice" that was never hers to make, to study outside of the herd. She only discovered her weakness at seeing blood recently and has found that her herd was hiding the information about this, rather common, problem from her and many others not wanting to seem weak.
After living with Hisoka, Torao, and occasionally their solitary companion Akiyo for sometime her views have begun to change a bit. She's adopted more freedoms but still largely follows her old patriarchal beliefs. (And is still very judgmental of her own gender) Currently she is more or less in exile, she can visit home but she can never live there again.

Short Bio First and foremost Torao is homosexual and would have been the protector of a large and powerful herd had he not thrown it all away. He is homosexual and had one boyfriend that he never mentions, a wind from the kawani lands. (This male is where Torao learned the language) He's aggressive, dominant, stubborn and often times lacks basic reasoning skills. He, very likely, joined Ryuuma and Kameko's group just because blowing off steam by murdering things seemed like a good idea. He developed a soft spot for Hisoka early on despite an age difference and will often reminisce about the days when Hisoka was small and cute. He has a fairly strong bias against females do largely in part to a few of them managing to wreck his life frequently. He's developing more affection towards Sabella but only to the point that he's stopped bullying her constantly. (Honestly she's probably the only girl he wouldn't attack these days.)

Short Summary of their plotline: (The full story is really long so I'll spare you many details. And, because the plot heavily involves him, here's Hisoka))
Torao gave up what would have been a luxurious life to join a team of killers. Here he met Hisoka, loved then lost Hisoka and proceeded to destroy the team in an act of revenge before tracking Hisoka down to patch things up. When they found each other again Hisoka wanted nothing to do with Torao so Torao hatched a scheme involving Sabella. Knowing about Sabella's particular queasiness with blood he convinced her to stay with Hisoka who still had not stopped the little killing "game." Eventually Sabella fell sick and after a short confrontation the truth about what had happened to the leaders of the group came out along with why Sabella was there in the first place.
After this confrontation they traveled to the east (heading to the hot springs) to allow both Hisoka and Sabella time to recover from their individual ailments. To get there they needed to pass through Sabella's homeland where they were stopped by her herd. The council of elders intended to separate Sabella from the others because it was inappropriate. In an effort on Torao's part to keep Hisoka from suffering further and on Sabella's part to keep what little taste of freedom she'd had they eventually caved in and settled on a marriage agreement. By way of the herd she was to stay with her husband but because he was not a kirin they could not remain with the herd. However, the claim was allowed under the stipulation that the two produce and present children to prove their marriage isn't false, which, in a way, it is.
As neither of the two had any particular burning desire to bed the other this requirement went ignored by everyone but Hisoka for quite some time. However, it's becoming more
and more difficult to explain the lack of children away. Saying that Sabella is barren just doesn't seem to be cutting it any more.

What is their family dynamics? Family dynamics are a bit messed up but not in a horrible way. The kids would be raised in relatively equal parts by Hisoka, Torao and Sabella. They'd more than likely end up not understanding what a traditional family is supposed to be because: Hisoka and Sabella have a relationship that is very close to an older sister and a younger brother. Sabella and Torao are "wed" only as a contract and while Torao will protect her he doesn't feel much towards her. Torao and Hisoka are in love (in there own tense sort of way). On top of all this they'll have an "uncle Akiyo" who is absent more than he is there and doesn't necessarily act remotely like a friend or family.
So in some ways it's unhealthy, and possibly a little scarring, but any of the children would never lack affection.
Traditions: Ummm...bathing might as well be considered traditional at this point. It's not uncommon for at least Hisoka to bathe every day.
Herd/Family culture: I'd say the culture is primarily (albeit loosely) Japanese based as 3 out of the 4 are from that area. It's not completely obvious as they've been trying to let it go and start over fresh but you'll see bits and pieces.
Children will likely be exposed to Hisoka's mild superstitions of spirits, curses and holy beasts.
Religious Beliefs: Kirin are the holiest of creatures. Aside from that they don't really conform to any particular religious sect.
Do you already have Ideas for offspring personalities or the continued plotline? Vaguelyish? It really depends on marks and breeds but these kids could either be the start of a real herd or bring everything crashing down on everyone's heads.
Mother's Owner: Nisshou H
If a Boy: If kirin (with horn)- He will be trained by his mother in acupressure and meditation both as Sabella is fairly skilled in both. He will be protected, possibly grudgingly, by his father and Hisoka will be teaching him what a kirin should be, telling stories and such about the kirin of the far east.
If regular- He will be trained by both Torao and Hisoka in the art of fighting. Torao will teach direct approaches and Hisoka will instruct in traps and sneak attacks. He will spend considerably less time with his mother the older he gets until he will eventually stop being her son and he will then be her guardian.
If a Girl: If kirin- She will be more closely guarded than a boy or even her own mother. She will be trained to be a kirin proper in a similar way as a boy would be except she would be held to a different standard. She would spend her childhood on a pedestal.
If regular- She better hope that she inherits daddy's markings. If not she'll be the one sneaking around to learn what she can about fighting, or kirin, or trap making or anything. She'll be expected to stay with the kirin but will not receive the same sort of honored treatment. If she has her dad's markings she'll fall into the category of one who could have been part of the game and she'll be trained like a boy would be.

Additional info: Just some food for thought here/random fact that I never really bring up. The reason Hisoka's marks, Torao's marks and Akiyo's marks all look similar actually has something to do with their being in the same group canonly and it's not because they're related in any way shape or form. The founders of the group actually sought out others with the marks and golden eyes believing them to be blessed by gods/spirits. That tradition held true for the second generation of participants and would have continued on had Torao not destroyed everything. The second generation, however, is not aware why the marks are required to play just that they mark kindred spirits.

Short Bio Friendly and energetic, Velika has endless energy and curiosity. She’s full of questions and loves learning, with a mind like a sponge. As a result she has a rather eclectic base of knowledge. She’s also a flock creature at heart, loving being part of a crowd and thriving in large families. Not too long ago her flock/herd of over fifty was wiped out in a tragic massacre at the hooves of a few kalonas. Velika was the only survivor because she had been off exploring. At first she was determined not to taint the memory of her family by replacing them but that could only last so long. It was too much a part of who she was to need a flock. Her desire to belong eventually led her to Aydan and his friend Sonja. Together, they’re forming an odd, little flock.

Short Summary of their plotline: While trying to keep Sonja out of trouble, Aydan and his friend stumbled across Velika who happily invited them on their journey. Together they’ve gotten into scrapes and protected one another. Slowly they’ve become closer as friends, giving Velika the hope that she may have found a new place to belong.

He is also stubborn, when he has an idea in his head, it is nearly impossible to budge it. Short Summary of their plotline: Frost has never known anyone to stick around, while Jayhk’s loyal to the bone, especially to the one who saved him from freezing to death. To him, she’s his guardian angel, to her he’s the stallion that she probably should have ignored after that blizzard. It’s a battle of patience between them to see who is right: Frost who believes everyone leaves eventually, or Jayhk who is head over hooves in love with his savior and determined to stay by her side forever…

What is their family dynamics? Jhayk is still trying to convince his beloved that he will never leave. Likewise, Frost was left as an orphan basket with no parents. Scarred by the loneliness, she would cherish any children she had and raise them with love.

Short Bio Once an ordinary Soquili from a distant land, Wyrsa was always enamored of the darker side of life to the point where she fell for a Kalona - Tlocatl. She was scared of him when they met, but refused to give ground and so won his grudging respect. They were on the verge of becoming lifemates when Wyrsa, in her misguided trusting of a human, became cursed. At that point she focused exclusively on the pain and injury she could bring to others in this world. She is still capable of love, but it is a twisted, possesive emotion and in her mind, Tlocatl is hers forevermore. Her children are victims to torment as she pleases even as she takes some pride in their strength and in the continuation of her bloodline.

Short Bio Tlocatl is the product of a naive mare and a deceitful stallion. He was raised by Nagual-An (his mother) and a human named Sanika. While growing up, he always felt his mother was less-than-adequate and pathetic because she was not a kalona and could not even fly. This made him spiteful, especially towards regular soquili, and he would always torture her through teasing and harassment. When he met Wyrsa, she was perfect for him - but she was regular, just like his mother. By the time he realized that his love for Wyrsa could transend the fact that she was doomed to forever be on the ground, it was already too late. The torture he put his mother through came back to him ten-fold, and the only peace he's had since was his short venture in the mountains where he found love with a mountain kalona named Edith. When Wyrsa destroyed Edith, he fell into mourning - from which insanity has grown. There is evil-incarnate on the planet, and that is Wyrsa.

Short Summary of their plotline: They fell in love when Wyrsa was not cursed, though neither would accept it. Tlocatl resented Wyrsa because she was not part kalona (no wings); and Wyrsa resented Tlocatl because she didn't think she was good/strong enough. Just before they finally admitted and gave in to such feelings, Wyrsa was cursed - and shortly after gave birth. Tlocatl, with a motley crew, rescued the sons' baskets and he raised them. Wyrsa raised the girl (IC, not through breeding raffle) in her own twisted image of the world. Then Tlocatl left and fell in love with a kalona and had a daughter (again, IC). When he was bringing his love to meet his mother, Wyrsa found them and killed the kalona mare - taking the tail as a trophy. Tlocatl fell into great, nightmare-induced reality mourning. Wyrsa's message was simple: Tlocatl was hers to control/harm/manipulate... and she would kill anyone that tried to usurp her position as the most important creautre in his life. His happiness would not be tolerated.

This could go multiple ways and ultimately would be determined through RP the next time they have baskets - as the relationship of these two can NEVER be figured out ahead of time. The dynamics are pretty simple. Wyrsa is a skinwalker: she wears the pants and cracks the whip. Tlocatl is the unwilling victim: no matter how hard he tries, Wyrsa always finds him and makes him suffer.

If a Boy: If Wyrsa keeps a boy this time, she will spoil him to some degree in the hopes of making him strong, strong enough to be a worthy heir. She'll always think it's a shame he's not a mare, but at least she'll have pride in him. He, in turn, will be taught that anything can be a threat, to attack first and ask questions later, and that his mother is the closest thing to God he knows. He'll be cocky and oppressed by turns.
If a Girl: Wyrsa's eldest (IC) is a girl and she's actually proud of Visum, though disappointed the girl has wandered so far already. This second girl she'd keep on a much shorter leash and be that much harsher to because of this. She'd long for the girl to be strong, but constantly push her down. In the end the girl would either end up a gibbering mess or strike out and fight for her freedom.

Again, much of the personalities are usually soldified through RP. We have a vain, proud, and product of daddy, with Somnium. We have the sadistic, scarred son with Ruadh Wolfbane. We have the proud, yet bitter, daughter in Visum.
If a Boy: He would not be allowed to be weak, but he would learn through the relationship of his parents. His mother is much stronger, and could break bones with an easy grin. To say that he would ever be allowed to leave the sight of his mother is unknown, maybe if she left Tlocatl have some room to breath then the son would leave and try to find his mark on the world. But, he would be conflicted between his lineage and the ingrained message that mares are superior.
If a Girl: I would love to have a pleasure-loving daughter of Wyrsa. Basically, she would be very similar to a succubus - seduce and enslave him to do her will until she is bored with him and then throw him out like an old newspaper. She would be extremely selfish and would have no respect for males.

Short Bio He is 'Aquaphobia', "the Fear of Water" as called in the event. He is a male siren of sorts, looking for Soqs wandering through the forests near the lake. He draws them close to the water until they are far enough in that he can drag them down into the water, deep enough that they can't escape. He merely drowns his victims, nothing more. But upon meeting and becoming infatuated with Sita, he spends his days trying to win her heart and proving to her that change is possible, even in the heart of a monster. He secretly loves children, but he doesn't let others know. Carthage isn't big on emotions, but he cares for his family in his own, quiet ways.

Sayoko is a real handful, she is selfish, demanding and can be snobby, she doesn't know how to take no as an answer for anything. She gets a thrill from tricking stallions into doing what she wants and making mares believe lies, Yoko loves to cause disasters. However she does in fact have a soft side, she loves nature and loves the night. She could stare at the stars or just listen to nature's music for hours. When no one is watching her, she loves to dance with the fireflies in the night. She loves to just enjoy life when shes alone. She is extremely independent but at the same time she just wants her better half, someone to accept her for who she really is but at the same time someone who can put up with her antics.

Oliver is not one to be over powerd by anyone, no matter what they look like or what their reputation may be. He despises his own family, believing that he has a greater power inside himself and wishes to move on without them while he grows his power and turns life into something meaningful that can instill fear into anyone around him. He is one that strives for power and he won't let anyone try and tell him that he shouldn't do that. He does not run around and play games, he does not sit and talk for hours, and he does not wish to be loved by any sort of weak soquili. He has one goal in life and that is to become a super power. Oliver is always cold hearted and he has a very ahrd time opening up to anyone. You will not get anything out of him, he is an excellent one at pushing all away.

Short Summary of their plotline:
Oliver and Sayoko are constantly butting heads because she loves to irritate him and he just wants to kill her dead. But neither really want to leave the other because Oliver wants to turn her into a killer but in Sayoko's mind she just wants him to fall for her.

Link to RP(s) where something happens of importance: A Bad Kind Of Change? - Oliver happens upon Sayoko and he calls her on her bluff while she tries to irritate him to death. He ends up bringing out the trouble maker in her and she can't help but want him to change her into something more like him.
What is their family dynamics? Oliver and Sayoko will be raising them as their children as they grow but Oliver will make sure that they are very close to his sister. His sister is his pride and joy, and as for his parents, they will see them roughly. On Sayoko's side, her parents will probably be around all the time babying their children and being lovey dovey. Her sister might be in their life for the biggest part but once they get older she might not come around that much.

If a Boy: He wouldn't take after his father at all except for his father's strength. He would be courageous and would be the prince charming that seem to only exist in fairy tales. This male would be a charmer, loving and generous, sensitive and romantic. He wants to save instead of destroy, love instead of hate and cause happiness instead of sorrow.
If a Girl: She would be a handful just like her mother, she would be very opinionated and extremely energetic. She would be stubborn, adventurous and can be a little annoying. But she can also be loving, caring and considerate. The girl would be well mannered, smart and have a sense of humor. But she does have a dark side, just like her father, she has a lust for blood. Because of her lust for blood, she tends to flirt to ignore the need for wanting to make someone feel pain and she tries to focus more on doing good and being helpful.

If a Boy: The boy would be quiet, yet powerful. His quick temper would kick in, but he'd have one thing wrong. He'd be cursed with becoming blind. He would lose his sight as a small foal, right before he would grow, this causing his snappy temper and rather depressed like state. He'd only be happy around the sounds of a lake, since that will be the last thing he see's.
If a Girl: She's a schizophrenic, constantly fighting the voices inside of her to leave her alone. All day they tell her to kill, kill anyone that came to her presence. This would soon drive her insane and cause her to become a mute, letting the voices drive her insane as she fought back her lust to kill. She'd be in a dream like state almost all her life, until, she kills something for the first time, driving her to be more like herr father than she would have ever realized to be.

Short Bio Revyra was never meant to be a fighter. As a foal she displayed typical habits one would expect from a girl her age. Her mother would have raised her to be a regular mare with a taste of finery. Her father had other ideas and sent her off to train with boys hoping it would destroy her. Much to his chagrin she took to the training quickly enough. Her demeanor began to shift to better handle the physical and mental demands eventually making her into a bold and often irritable mare. She does not have the strongest of personal morals but instead adopts those of the people she allies herself with. As she has found herself mixed in with the Padmapani herd more and more her lines of right and wrong are shifting to mingle with the herd's mentality.

Short Bio Hayagriva began life as a relatively carefree fellow, though his kalona bloodline gave him a bit of a brooding streak. As a young adult he met a mare called Ayanna and before he knew it they had a batch of foals. He loved his children dearly, though one of his children was fostered to a childless mare that he was friends with. When it appeared that child died, Haya became deeply enraged at the mare who had cared for her and deeply depressed. As his children grew he noticed kalona traits springing up in them which made him hate his bloodline and the "curse" he gave to his children. It wasn't until he joined the Padmapani herd that he began to recover a sense of self. In the Padmapani herd he distinguished himself my training his herdmates in combat that ended up saving lives when a kalona attacked. His success was met with the position of Protector Heir in the herd. He ascended to elderdom along with accepting his new position and continues to protect the Padmapani herd with strength and wisdom. Recently, his second daughter Samsara was turned into a skinwalker. The loss of his last daughter drove Haya back into great sadness and he has had to drive her away from the herd several times since. She wants to kill him badly, and he mourns for his lost children.

Short Summary of their plotline: Revyra and Hayagriva met completely by chance. Samsara and her group of skinwalkers attacked Hayagriva and other members of the Padmapani herd. Revyra, on a patrol in the area, heard the commotion and, upon discovering the trouble, stepped in. They met briefly afterward before setting into action once more to make sure the injured were taken care of. Revyra started hanging around the Padmapani lands to keep an eye on things. The two started forming a partnership based on a mutual interest in defending the herd.

The two get to talking
What is their family dynamics? It is safe to say that any children will be raised in a loving environment. If they want interaction they'll get it. Primarily they'll be raised by their parents, however, it is a big herd. They'll likely run into grandparents, cousins and even some nieces and nephews.
Traditions: The Padmapani herd has a rich culture of traditions and holidays stemming from the alpha Avalokiteshvara's homeland in Asia. The more simpler aspects of these traditions include simple meditation and the obeying of the Bodhisattva vows. Some of the holidays they celebrate are described below!
New year: The Padmapani herd celebrates the new year on the day of the first full moon in January. They go all out in celebrating! They spend the week beforehand gathering all of the tasty edibles they can find so they can feast on New Year's day. The more appearance-conscious members will go to the kawani village prior to New Year to get new accessories to show off during the celebration. There is dancing and singing, and everyone has a great time!
Avalokiteshvara's birthday: This is a day meant to be a day of offering prayers and seeking blessings from the Bodhisattva. However, members of Padmapani have misinterpreted this celebration as being the birthday celebration for the herd alpha, not for the Bodhisattva for which she is named. They still offer prayer and respect the dead but they also throw Vara a bit of a party and give the old mare "birthday presents." Vara is slightly chagrined that the holy day has been co-opted like that, but at this point it's too established to stop!
Festival of the floating bowls: Though most of the herd soquili don't know the origin of this holiday, it is a favorite in the herd. Once a year the herd gathers by a river and each member makes a bowls out of leaves and flowers. Within the middle of these bowls they place some kindling. One member of the herd will then venture into the kawani village to carry fire back to the herd. The fire bearer will light the kindling in each of the bowls and then each herd member will push their bowl into the river. As the bowls float downstream, it is thought that bad luck and negative feelings float away with them. This is accompanied with great celebration!
Herd/Family culture: The Padmapani herd follow a modified version of the Bodhisattva vows. Each member must swear to follow by these vows prior to becoming an official member of the herd:
To be generous towards those in need
Not to kill any living creature
Not to lie or deceive others
Not to steal
Not to engage in any form of romantic misconduct
To treat and speak to others with kindness, in their presence and not
Not to harbor anger or resentment
Though some members of the herd are better able to follow them than others, in general it is a very kind and accepting group. They tend to be very peaceful and welcome strangers easily into their midst. The herd alpha, Avalokiteshvara, is very kind and forgiving even of the least tranquil of her herd members. Even if a soquili might not be able to live strictly by the Bodhisattva vows, they will always have a welcome place in the herd so long as they do not endanger anyone.
Religious Beliefs: The Padmapani herd follow a loose version of Mahayana Buddhism. Their favorite deity is Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva that the alpha mare is named for. They believe that by living their lives according to the Bodhisattva vows and seeking enlightenment that they may be able to release themselves from the cycle of death, rebirth, and suffering. They believe in Karma and that actions have results, which feeds in to their belief in fate and destiny. They are not generally very showy about expressing their beliefs. Most often, they might meditate in silence or chant "om mani padme hum" to invoke Avalokiteshvara in a moment of stress or need.
Do you already have Ideas for offspring personalities or the continued plotline? Yes but it's not really gender based so I'm just putting it here. One of Haya's first children was fostered to another mare and is presumed to be dead. The idea is that the kids find out that Adour is still alive and go on a journey to find her.
Additionally all the children will be trained to fight and defend.

Unisex: The idea I have fits either gender! The notion I have is for a sort of "Buddha's warrior." A soquili who felt strongly connected to the culture of the herd and wanted to protect that culture and their herdmates just as Hayagriva has. Hayagriva and Vyra are going to raise their children as warriors and this child would take that deeply to heart. They would consider it one of their duties to protect their more peace-loving herdmates from the dangers of the world. They would be very loyal to their family and herd and maybe just a little stubborn and brash at times in doing so. They would try to be serious and stern even before they were old enough to pull it off properly and would end up being somewhat inflexible and bound to rules. They would be caring but not terribly emotional, so while they might say "I love you" more as a statement than as an emotional response, you would know they they meant it.

Short Bio
Madoka was born into a herd, she was next in line to take over, but hadn't even begun her training when her parents were killed by skinwalkers. And per herd tradition, since she was not able to lead the herd, they had to move on without her... And so one night when she woke, she was alone. She matured into an adult, and spent her time alone. For a long time, she barely remembered anything about her parents and the herd, just that she was left behind. She spent a fair amount of time, handling that. She met some others along the road, and started to regain her confidence. Remembering more about her herd and her parents, she wanted to live for them. Madoka went on to learn how to take care of herself, and made many friends along the way. But Madoka has kind of a child like personality, she doesn't know how to hide feeling, and says things straight out.
One fateful day, the clutzy mare stumbled and fell into a river, infront of a stallion. And she met the love of her life. She was taken by Boris on their first meeting, he pierced her lip with a gold ring that he had on the top of his hoof. And quickly the two became close, but Madoka's troublesome pasted stirred up some issues.

Short Bio
Boris is quite territorial as a cat and he can go wherever he wants. He lives in Heartland, and doesn't really understand his emotions. He's been through a good deal, living at the amusement park with Mary Gowland, the old man. He once had a relationship with Dice Eliza Quinn, but something happened. Boris liked to grin, the marge cat like horse fishes, and is often full of energy and happiness.
Once day he was fishing when a mare tumbled into his life. He was quite taken with the mare, and pierced her lip with one of his golden rings. He kept meeting up with the mare, and finally took her to heartland. He had issues figuring out his feelings about her the mare, and after Madoka moved to heartland with him he bumped into Dice again. And spent an evening with her. And this confused him even more.
Boris is fairly simple in terms of his personality, not only can he be loving, but he can get overprotective. Though he seems to prefer the happiness.

Short Summary of their plotline:
When Madoka and Boris met, it was basically love at first sight, but neither of them knew it. Boris was the first to recognize the feeling, and Madoka didn't understand the feeling of 'being in love'. But one night when Boris confronted her, she told him what she felt, in honest blatant terms, not quite understanding the meaning. They both live in Heartland now, and Madoka visits her friends in the Kawanii lands when she can.
When the time came for them to start a family, not only did Madoka have unresolved issues with her past, but Boris had struggles of his own. He ran into Dice again, and spent the evening with her, when the feeling of love crept up. But he felt guilty after when he thought of Madoka.
Madoka never knew about Dice and Boris, and doesn't ask many questions, and have full trust in Boris. But with some help, Madoka was able to over come her issues. Now ready to move forward with Boris, and have foals. Boris came to terms with his feelings, and realized that he loved Madoka, really loves her.

Dice | Dice was part of the game, and apart of Boris's life. He once loved her, before meeting Madoka.He possibly still has some unsettled feelings for her. Madoka has no idea about their past or even their present.
Madoka met and confided in Dice about the fight she had with Boris, unknowing of who she was. but Madoka likes her, and would like to thank her properly some day.

Short Bio
Generally Yanamari is a sweet and well tempered mare who loves to talk to others, make new friends and just enjoy life, yet is far too shy and afraid to often approach others. But under that sweet exterior lies a blackness, all thanks to her Kalona blood - something which she highly resents. This darker part of her comes out every now and then, forcing her to lash out at those she would normally call friends, speak badly about everyone around her and sometimes do things she later regrets. Anyone who mentions her Kalona blood will see how much it hurts her, often having her shut herself off to them as a way to avoid the unpleasantness that she feels towards that and her father who was a Kalona.

Short Summary of their plotline: Yanamari and Cian met by chance one day, and while it was not the perfect start to any kind of friendship or relationship, they decided to travel together. Even after attacking him, thanks to her Kalona blood suddenly kicking in one morning, Cian is determined to stick by her side. He is helping her see that she is not the monster she has been lead to believe that she is and while she may never fully accept her Kalona blood, thanks to Cian, she no longer sees it as a curse. Together they will work on restoring her confidence, getting her to open up not only to him, but others as well, and see that there is no need to live in the shadows anymore. As they travel they will start to have feelings for one another and it is this that triggers a new fear in Yanamari, what if any children they ended up having possess Kalona blood. She doesn't want any children of her to be tormented like she had been as a foal and even into adulthood. But surely with Cian being so accepting of her any children they did have together, even if they had Kalona traits, would be as kind and loving as their parents.

What is their family dynamics? They would raise the children together, in as loving a family as was possible. They would ensure to teach their children what is right and wrong, and should any of them have Kalona traits, Yanamari would do her best to show them how to control that blood and not let it overpower them. They may go and visit Cian's family from time to time, so that the foals could know and meet other family members. Yanamari's family would not be involved at all as she never met her father and would not want her children around them, and her mother is far too broken to properly play the role of grandmother at this time.

If a Boy: He is very much like the sidekick of a hero. He is always there when it counts, helping out in any situation but is completely overshadowed by the presence of said hero (or in same cases his sibling). So often he is found at a distance waiting, watching for his moment to become the hero - or to at least get the attention that he deserves. One day he will fine his moment to shine, when and how that will happen no one knows, but that day he will make himself proud, and hopefully his parents as well.
If a Girl: She is a very outgoing filly, she loves to meet new people, see new things, is always willing to lend a hand to anyone, is very enthusiastic and can be quite bubbly. In fact sometimes she can be a bit too bubbly to the point of being downright annoying. But that isn't her greatest flaw. For she has a horrible memory. She will re-introduce herself to Soquili she is already speaking with completely forgetting anything previously said to her, can never remember where she lives and can't for the life of her recall just what she had been doing the previous day or even several minutes ago. But she takes it all in stride with a smile on her face.

If a Boy: Would be a very clingy foal, never wanting to be alone, even when those around him just wants five minutes of peace and quiet. He will be extremely close with both of his parents and sibling as well, whether they like it or not.

Prism is very much a go with the flow type stallion. He's generally willing to do whatever anyone asks of him, as long as it isn't something incredibly dangerous of course. He loves to kick back and relax, often times preferring just to laze about and wait for something or someone to come his way than to seek them out. Those he deems friends will be protected by him even if at times he seems too lazy to do so. When not lazing about he is on the look out for any pretty females that may be nearby, and that's when he shows off his charms and good looks, hoping to win their affections.

Kourin Chou has lived a relatively sheltered life of being cared for by her two loving parents Nuriko & Seishuku. In efforts to help their daughter blossom they coaxed her out of the nest and imposed upon her the task of making friends. Kourin is sweet and naive, the picture perfect representation of someone gullible and impressionable. It just so happened that between running away from one Soquili and being lured in by another that she met Liam. Her circumstances had caused her to wander into Flock territory. He was her sweet winged knight and persuaded her that her current companions weren't the best options for company. After falling snout over hooves for Liam she ended up joining the flock. Kourin felt her own need to please those around her grow and became a healer in their ranks using both her Angeni and Uni background to her advantage.

Liam is willing and eager to please. Having been raised in the Harpy Flock by a full-blooded Harpy female, he's come to respect all females. To him, they are not the fairer sex. He feels utter rapture at having been chosen by Kourin as her preferred male, and he adores feeling loved and useful to his Lifemate. Though she is not a Harpy, she is Angeni, and the Flock believes that Harpies are derived from Angeni. Either way, it does not matter to Liam. She is perfect to him.

Short Summary of their plotline: Liam's mother, Elsa, lost him -- she never was the most attentive of mothers. His 'mother' now is the harpy that found him -- Kamunyak -- and brought him into the Flock. He does not remember a life before the flock, and never actively searched for ways to outright draw a female's attention to him. While out one day gathering seeds to add to his collection, Liam caught sight of Kourin looking lost and a little afraid. He knew that she was in danger (being caught on Harpy lands) and offered to bring her back to the flock in hopes that she could find a way to make a life for herself among the sisters. She seems to have settled in well as a Healer, and these two lovebirds were drawn even closer together. Kourin took Liam as her favored stallion (and he will likely be her only stallion).
At some point Liam and his father will interact and the truth about Liam's parentage will be aired.

This RP is currently ongoing, but it is where Kamunyak (Liam's adoptive mother) found him and brought him to his home in the Flock.
What is their family dynamics? At this age, Liam no longer remembers who his true mother is, and unbeknownst to him, his blood father is actually a male in the Flock (Fionn, owned by bella dea). Now, Kourin and Liam are both sweeter than honey and perhaps the quiet and gentle nature they both exude is what drew them to one another. Liam does not feel like he has anything to prove -- he does not need to be the strongest, biggest and baddest male in the flock. Kourin, being quiet and impressionable, has found her niche in her Healing (which she is impeccably apt at, being both Angeni and Unicorn). Liam dotes on his mistress, often leaving her gifts of honeycomb, apples, and sweetgrass. He does these things because he adores Kourin.
He loves his mother Kamunyak, and hopes to make her proud. Though she has never told him, sometimes he gets the slightest feeling that she is not completely happy with the fact that he has lifemated with a mare that is not a Harpy. He hopes to bring her honor and hopefully happiness by providing her with grandchildren.
Their male offspring will be raised to respect the rules of the flock. Their female offspring will be given special praise (even if only by Liam -- he will respect his daughters even at a young age) and will be expected to grow up to be gentle, respectable members of the Flock.
Traditions: The Flock's traditions are what these two lovebirds abide by. Females have the ruling hand while males serve as farmers and entertainers, crafters and cooks and all around general artisans.
Herd/Family culture: Flock males are at a lower standing than females, and the true Harpy males understand that it is not something to hate. They are kept safe, kept fed, they are allowed to discover the more artistic sides of themselves, they are allowed to farm and craft. It should not be looked at as a Bad Thing, and this is what Liam will teach his sons if he has any.
Religious Beliefs: The family will be raised to understand and honor all Harpy beliefs.

Liam will also find things for them to do together, like beekeeping, and Liam will encourage his son to be a respectful, tender and gentle stallion. If the colt is winged, Liam will want to be involved in his son's wing-clipping because he does not want his son to feel the same fear that he felt when he had his wingfeathers clipped.
If a Girl: Liam's daughter will be the apple of his eye. She will be able to do no wrong as far as Liam is concerned. He will urge her to be a strong, independant female who is control of her life, and who can make her own decisions. He will likely go to his Harpy-mother for help in this, as he does not have the strength and determination that his Harpy-mother does.
