Fel Essence
Inverted Flame: Wearing the illusion of being your average flame, you notice as you lean closer to it that instead of emitting heat it seems to give off a cool, almost cold air. But..it's a flame right? Flames should be giving off heat and light! Then you notice something else peculiar...it's not spreading any light. A darkness seems to creep up on things around the flame as if the darkness is the light that the flame should be shedding. So here we have a corrupted flame, one that refuses to give warmth and light to others but seems to do just the opposite instead.
Soul
Fallen Star: The first question that must come to mind is: Do stars even have souls? It seems anything is possible in the world of Gaia! Here the stars speak, the stars dance and play across the skies. Mischievous, trouble-seeking little things, sometimes they wander out of curiosity a little too closely to Gaia's surface, the gravity instinctively pulling them under. The stars, once swallowed by Gaia's pull, perform little shows to kill time and be showered in the people's attention. Why, in Gaia, such stars are a delight! In space, they are nothing more than another space holder. Aren't a series of falling stars just so beautiful? Yes, the most beautiful thing in nature! But some stars also fall participant to these shows out of selfishness: They wish to die and escape this terrible spotlight. To die, to release themselves back into space, all a star has to do is grant a wish and its own will also come true...
Name: Prajna DOB: Jan. 21st, 2009 (Aquarius) Gender: Androgynous height: Prajna floats around 5'5" weight: ??? eyes: crystal blue hair: crimson red and jagged, in the front there also seems to be a dash of black hidden between the layers of its bangs skin: not quite olive but not quite porcelain either, Prajna's skin has a yellow undertone but does not come across sickly. The Star is pale but other than its unusual skin tone, there does not seem to be any other freckle or blemish. Recently, it has obtained a few scratches near its hairline and eyes, trophies it has gained from its numerous squabbles...
likes: movies, flowers, making others uncomfortable-usually through means of flirting, privacy dislikes: Being called "ugly", superior attitudes, cold water/swimming hobbies: watching television/movies religiously (its current favorite being Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet), playing its cello, following stray cats or dogs at night
Alignment: Neutral evil
Also known as the "Malefactor" alignment. Characters of this alignment are typically selfish and have no qualms about turning on their allies-of-the-moment. They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it. They abide by laws for only as long as it is convenient for them. A villain of this alignment can be more dangerous than either Lawful or Chaotic Evil characters, since he is neither bound by any sort of honor or tradition nor disorganized and pointlessly violent.
Examples are an assassin who has little regard for formal laws but does not needlessly kill, a henchman who plots behind his superior's back, or a mercenary who switches sides if made a better offer.
nature: Impulsive, Prajna will come across as simple minded and immature to most but for its closest companions, the Star seems to be hiding a more wicked and capable side of its personality. Fond of games and theatrics, Prajna will usually mirror scenes it has witnessed on television when a situation seems relative, using its androgyny to its advantage and for its entertainment. It enjoys mimicking manipulative or seductive characters most, lured in by their strong sense of control and intelligence. So quick to act as actors would on television, the feisty soul, however, seems afraid to completely relax when in the presence of others, even intimate companions, out of fear of letting people too close to its mind (or is it its heart?...). Something is keeping Prajna distant and guarded and Namini has wondered if its fallen star soul is to blame. Prajna wants to get close to others but only seems to understand and trust the act of kissing to get that message across... which doesn't sit well with some! Another odd mannerism? - It seems as if Prajna is too lazy to form full sentences and so, only says what it deems is necessary, usually neglecting pronouns and tenses.
key personality traits: Proud, competitive, provocative, immature, guarded, hot tempered
Stats: ★Strength: 18 Prajna’s lowest stat, the Star makes up for its lack of physical power with its determination and skill.
★Endurance: 23 Prajna can only take a few good hits before it’s out but that’s enough for this fiery Raevan, because if you aren’t careful, Prajna will show you a few of its magic tricks.
★Intelligence: 30 Recently, it has been found that it is not that Prajna is incapable of forming coherent, grammatically correct sentences; it simply chooses not to unless a situation calls for it, i.e. it feels like it. But ,still, what it doesn’t say speaks volumes. Its analytical silence will sometimes put David on edge, while Namini has taken it to mean that Prajna is not all bad, that there is a side to the Star that will eventually mature and settle into a calm.
★Creativity: 34 Prajna’s highest stat, one must be wary of the Star’s ability to manipulate and evade. Prajna is crafty and, when put in a tight spot, will find some way out of it.
★Friendliness: 25 As easy as it is to please Prajna, it is just as easy to burn. Unpredictable in who it decides to keep around, if you do manage to befriend this Inverted Flame, approach the relationship knowing it’s a give-and-take. Prajna will not go out of its way to be kind to you.
★Charisma: 28 Prajna’s creativity and intelligence allows the Star to play up its charisma. It knows just what it has to do to woo you or deter you, with just a bat of its eyelashes. It probably doesn’t help that Prajna refuses to give out its true gender. …
★Humour: 31 A lover of anything challenging and new, scandalous and exciting, Prajna will make sure you have a good time whether you like it or not…unless you piss it off.
★Magic: 26 Prajna’s higher offensive stat, Prajna seems to stumble when discovering and “activating” its powers, unlike most of the Raevans. Once Prajna triggers a new trick though, it doesn’t seem to hard to bring it back. Practice makes perfect.
Food Source: ★ Artificial light [Primary] – Reflecting its essence, Prajna can absorb any form of artificial light as “food” and so it is a little tricky to control its hunger. If Prajna gets a hold of a string of Christmas lights, do not expect any of them to glow after the Star has ate; the colorful bulbs will be nothing more than stained balls of glass. Even in flashlights, double checked batteries will prove to still contain some power, but the light itself will no longer be produced. Because of this feature, Namini usually buys Prajna cheap flashlights in bulk, so the Star can just switch the batteries from a dead flashlight to a new one.
★ Heat [Secondary]- When Prajna is unable to find any artificial lighting (like at the park on a sunny day), sometimes the Star will resort to slowly taking in actual sunlight and heat. While outside on hot days, Prajna almost unconsciously takes in the warmth of the air, though the faint staleness in its mouth makes it a conscious act.
Abilities: ★“Inverted absorption” (LV. 1) [Active]- Incredibly difficult to control and activate, this ability is very similar to a vampire drinking an innocent’s blood. Prajna must have skin contact with another individual (it usually focuses on its fingertips) and Prajna must give its power a moment to “charge” before the attack, like a vampire opening its mouth to prepare for the clamp. Whatever body part Prajna is using, that same body part will give off a faint blue flame which will be maintained until the end of the attack. Once skin contact has been made, Prajna will absorb whatever body heat and feeling is in that part of the individual’s body, leaving the opponent numb and cold for a while. Because of its difficulty to control, Prajna cannot seem to hold on for very long, though it has figured out that if it pierces the skin, its power spreads and has a more severe effect. The absorbed heat and consciousness helps Prajna recover from any wounds of its own just a little.

Name: Namini Nao (sometimes called "Mini" or simply "Nami") DOB: December 31, 1991 (21) (Capricorn) height: 5'4" weight: 120 lbs eyes: sapphire blue; they stand out against her other features hair: cute auburn curls that playfully kiss her cheeks skin: not quite anemic-pale but a healthy porcelain perhaps - smooth but sun kissed around the face and shoulders. After the capture of Prajna's soul, she now also has faded burn marks up her entire right arm and on the underside of her left forearm, extending only halfway to her elbow.
fashion/style: "Adorable" best describes Namini's sense of fashion. Namini is very girly in the fact that she enjoys cute hair accessories (think pastel colored flowers and animal faces!) and dresses of varying lengths and hues. Ruffles are another preference along with baby-doll cuts. Her hidden motion for wearing innocent looking clothing may be because of her unimpressive bust, though she'll never admit it!(pssst, it's 32B).

current occupation: second year nursing student at Durem University lifestyle: Currently living with her older brother, David, in the middle of Durem, Namini tries to keep the apartment simple. She tries as best to tidy up and organize as much as she can, which isn't too difficult since the Nao's don't have much to begin with. However, Namini's need for her home to be presentable is one of her highest priorities! The complex has friendly residents, most who easily recognize Namini by her addictive cheerfulness and tender nature. Slowly entering adulthood, Namini is trying to adjust as best as she can but sometimes wonders if simply changing her lifestyle is really going to help all that much or if bigger steps are necessary...
nature: With her brother gone most of the time, either working long hours or out dating some random woman, Namini has become independent and self-sufficient. She is quite proud in her ability to multi task, though she still possesses some childish charm in her clumsiness and over-ambition. With the introduction of Prajna into their humble home, Namini decided to stay and study in Durem so that David and she could act as "parents" for the growing Frei, revealing her more maternal side. During her clinical hours, her playfulness and tender nature are more obvious as she is easily seen relating to both children and adults well. Most find Namini hard to genuinely upset or dislike.

fashion/style: David enjoys dressing himself up; he prides his appearance. His style can be referred to as an edgy sophistication. Even when David's just lounging around the apartment, he will lay down to his favorite pair of torn jeans and a nice looking shirt or sweater. While Namini lives by "You never know who could be coming over" and constantly worries about the apartment's appearance, David lives by the "You never know who you will meet" kind of motto and therefore, is continually taking notes from fashion magazines and online blogs. His secret obsession is necklaces.
likes: women, video games, children, animals dislikes: rejection, tempers/tantrums hobbies: most sports/jogging, trying anything new and exciting (such as skydiving!)
current occupation: veterinary assistant during the day, but at night David secretly works as a "passionate type" host at Durem's Queen's collection. He works hard to ensure his sister's happiness and to satisfy his genuine love for all women. lifestyle: Currently living with his sister, Namini, David works two full-time jobs to try and ease the young Nao's financial burden. After the death of their mother, David has tried to keep his life simple, though some may look at his fashion obsession as a bit of a hypocritical blip. Anything that complicates either his emotional or physical life is seen as a huge problem, which is why the quieter Nao also refuses to fall in love. It seemed that after the passing of the siblings' mother, David's needs and wants became dramatically more basic.
nature: Though most would view the man as negligent and rude to his younger sibling, in actuality he cares for her deeply. David is just awful at properly expressing himself and therefore shows his affections in the oddest of ways: always making sure the refrigerator is stocked (even if the food is unhealthy), coming home late but quietly, always double checking on his sleeping sibling to see that she is safe and sound. At times, after the introduction of Prajna, David would show these awkward courtesies to the mischievous Frei as well. He would leave a fresh flashlight by the foot of Prajna's couch or slip some extra bills into Prajna's vest pocket while it was drying. Easily misunderstood, David simply wants the best for both of his "siblings" ...a compulsive reaction, perhaps, to an unknown promise to his mother.
key personality traits: flirtatious, possesses an incredible sister complex, and also has a fiery temper which he hates. In one word, David is really impulsive.

Name: Lihua Nao DOB: May 8, 1963 (deceased at age 42/year 2005) height: 5'6" weight: 145 lbs eyes: sapphire blue, the eyes she gave to Namini hair: onyx curls that was always kept half up, half down, reaching the middle of her back. skin: pale and smooth, always resembling pinked marble; the skin around her eyes and her overworked hands always ended up revealing her age however.
history:
An energetic and persistent woman, Lihua did not go through life without her share of pain and hardship. Swept innocently yet eagerly into the whirlwind of young love, Lihua had just finished studying education when she got pregnant with young David. Blessed with a firstborn son, Lihua and her boyfriend could not be happier! And soon, the two were wed, simply and quickly in a courthouse. However, while Lihua's small family, consisting of only her parents, celebrated and showered the newlyweds in gifts and praise, her young husband's family disapproved of the new Chinese bride. They rejected both David and Lihua, which caused some tension among the new parents but was eventually overlooked and forgotten.
The happy couple returned to their every day lives, Lihua's husband securing a well paying job as an accountant and Lihua herself getting a part time job at a kindergarten. With Lihua's job allowing her to bring David to work for free, the newlyweds were able to save a bit of money and live somewhat well in the heart of Durem. Over time, however, family tensions arose again with the passing of Lihua's father... and then mother. Though the two did somewhat well, with the funeral and attorney costs to handle, they eventually had to turn to Lihua's husband for financial assistance. Again, they were turned away.
