Meeting the 'other' mother
Andre and Esperanza

Esperanza had been traveling lately, but mostly just adoring the scenery. She was happy living with her children and her mate. She was happy living the normal life of a mother.

She had wanted these times so much, so she now knew that maybe, just maybe everything was supposed to work out.

The palomino mare stopped inches from a tree, looking longingly at the apples that had just come into season, ad hadn’t fallen yet.
She reached, with her hooves coming in contact with the tree's trunk, as she stretched her neck to reach the teasing fruit.

Alas, no luck, adn she slid down, to lay under the shade of the old apple tree.

*The day had bee long ad the sun rather warm on the silver stallion's back. Wings stretched out to his sides, Andre soared over head, his golden gaze, inherited from his father, searched the ground for a certain friend whom he hadn't seen in many days. He hoped that she was alright. Andre hadn't been but a foal when he last saw the mare. Shaking his head at the notice of the sudden drop he had taken as his wings folded reflexively to his sides. With a scream of almost terror, he opened his wings to slow the drop, to only crash into an old apple tree. A few branches broke his fall before ultimately landing upon the ground with a few branches laying atop of him. It certainly wasn't a good day for him. Groaning from where he lay, Andre lifted his head off the ground shaking the fuzziness from his mind and tried standing, but found that the branches were laying across his back and wings.*

"Peachy" He groaned not noticing the mare that lay on the other side of the tree. "See Andre, get you mind on something else and you crash. Son of Shihab and Adelle and you crash like a foal." He berated himself trying to kick the branches off his body the best he could.

Esperanza's head perked and her chocolate orbs were wide with disbelief.
It all had happened so fast, she wasnt sure what she was supposed to do.

Good news was, the apple had fallen to the earth and was ready to be consumed by horsie jaws.. But the bad news was that now, the apple was second on her mind and she wanted to know if this Wind was okay..

She'd really never saw them fall.. She had never even seen one faulter. But maybe this meant they were just like everyone else.. Even if they could soar high above the clouds and race with the eagles.

She tossed her creme mane to the other side of her neck as she stood up, and cautiously walked to the fallen stallion.

"Are you okay?"

She asked, voice soft and helpful.

*Having released himself from under a couple of the branches, Andre stood and looked at the mare whom had come over to see if he was alright. In truth, he wasn't too sure, he didn't know why he had crashed so badly like a foal in training. Shaking his head he folded his slightly shaking wings to his sides and tried his best to compose himself.*

"I think so, but this will teach me to keep my mind on flying then on something else." He chuckled shaking his head again.

*His long tail twitched for a moment as he looked at the mare, she resembled the mare he knew, though in a lighter coat tone at least and didn't have the darker brown. Blinking a couple times, he had to get Tsa out of his mind.*

"Sorry to have disturbed you, my mind was on a friend I haven't seen since I was nothing but a foal. She and that little green ball of fur of hers." He said chuckling to himself, remembering Lucky.

Esper's ears stood erect on the top of her head as the ball of green fluff was mentioned.
Tsayuli has a loving little bear that ESper knew of.. He was a rowdy little thing, and had much more energy than she had.. But Flit had taken quite the liking and they'd been friends.

What was his name? Lunfry.. Ducky?...

"Lucky." She whispered aloud ,happy to have finally remembered.

"Do you per chance, know Tsayuli? Because I believe the little green ball of fluff you refer to would be Lucky, her little bear."

*Ears snapping forward as his friend's name came from the mare's tongue, wings fluffing out a little at his sides, resisting to let the red of blush come to his face. He knew Tsaluyi well, and Lucky, the green ball of fur tried to gnaw his way into Andre's basket some time ago.*

"I know Tsaluyi and Lucky. I haven't seen them for a while, but I know them." He nodded as his eyes looked away as his mind was on other things before a question came to mind. "How do you know if Tsa?" he asked using Tsaluyi's nickname she preferred him to call her. "When I last saw her I was only a colt..."

*Now his mind was spinning, he didn't know how he started this conversation with a mare he didn't know, about a mare he did know. Was there a connection between the two? Surely there was, but he wasn't too sure of it, perhaps they were friends too? He couldn't quite place his hoof on it, but there was something familiar about this mare that he had seen in Tsa, though also his memory wasn't that good, he barely remember much from his foal hood...*

She gave a soft smile, and a light hearted chuckle. Was this the little foal Tsa would play with all the time? Now that she looked at him, it looked as if it could be interrelated.. She wasnt sure, but she was never sure of much.

If it was him, he'd grown into a fine young stallion. She nodded a bit, accepting the fact that he knew Tsa and Lucky, both of which held the certain special place in her motherly heart.

"Well I hope to know Tsa, as if I didnt, It would make me so much less of a mother. Tsa is my child, as are Marahute and Biscuit. MOther of three."

She smiled, now that she'd told of her daughter's origin.

"Aye, I remember you then. You were the little foal she was always toting around. How dear of it to let me see you again. You were such a pretty little foal.. All grown up into such a lovely stud."

*This time he couldn't help, but let the red flush onto his face as the mare spoke to him in such away, him a lovely stud, surely it was a jest. He knew his sister was a lovely mare like his mother and Tsa whom he just about fell head over hoof the last time they bet. Actually he did, he still had the lump to prove it on his head, but back then it wasn't love, no never that, he never knew the meaning of it. Shaking the thoughts from his head, Andre looked at the mare as she mentioned being Tsa's mother.*

"A pleasure to meet you again. Though my memory of that time escapes me." He blushed again looking away. "It feels like I haven't seen Tsa in a long time, that I worry that she..." He stopped and looked down at the ground, pawing at it with a hoof feeling most tongue tied. It seemed that he got this way when speaking about Tsa, the only true friend he had and the secret love to him.

'What is wrong with me?' he thought to himself. 'Why am I acting in such a way in front of Tsa's mother? Surely she will find out that I love Tsa, even if I haven't seen her in a while. But still...' Oh this was all too confusing for Andre as he just stood there silently, pawing at the ground with the most embarrassed look on his face.

The palomino mare narrowed her mothering eyes in a kind fashion. She saw what was going on.. She saw full well. She had seen Tsa be so loving, and now it was coming into a full circle.

She wasnt sure if she was ready for her babies to venture off and start having their own babies, but she figured that wasnt her place to say.

When they were ready, they were ready. And no amount of talking to them about it would change their minds.. and she knew her girls, and her boy to be smart of wit and mind. They wouldnt make stupid decisions.

The main one she had to worry about was Marahute and her incredible want to give her mother a heart attack.

"You are afraid, what my dear?"

"I...It's nothing." He shook his head trying to clear his mind and most of all the blush that still heated his face. "So how have you been?" he asked quickly, wanting to change the subject right quick before anything else caused him to go red all over.

'Get a grip on yourself Andre, I'm sure Tsa is waiting for you somewhere. She was the last time you saw her as a foal.' he tried convincing himself as he tried to stop blushing. 'You just have to be calm and try not to think about it too much.'

*All his convincing wasn't helping in the least as far as he could tell. One part of his mind knew full well that Esper had figured out that he loved Tsa more then the friendship he held dear when he was but a foal. Back then it was easy to think of her as a friend, now that he was a stallion and all his other 'friends' were searching for loves of their lives, Andre could only think of Tsa and how he felt for her, even if the blooming love started off as only a foalish friendship...*

"I am well. A tad bit hungry, but I am well.. "

She watched him, ears alert and eyes focused.
The poor boy was lovestruck. She'd seen it on many a Soquili.. and She'd felt it on herself.

Love was a hard thing to catch, but when you have it, it's even harder to let go.

*Another blush came to his still red face, as Andre looked up at the tree he had crashed through and soon back to the ground that lay littered with apples.*

"It does seem that my daydreaming as caused a tide of apples to fall from the tree." He chuckled shaking his head. "It's good that you are doing well. I wish I could say the same, I wish I could see Tsa again, but she seems to be hiding from me."

*At this he pouted a little as his wings drooped a bit. He did want to see Tsa again, to tell her how he felt about her, hoping that maybe she felt the same? Or perhaps not, all the same he wanted to see her again, to ease his mind that she wasn't... Seeing another stallion... At least... Yes Andre was lost in his own mind again, always tended to be in certain cases, one like now where his love for a mare was showing through the cracks in his near flawless heart.*

Esper smiled, reaching down to pick up one of the littered apples. She placed the apple in front of her gently, as if claiming the fruit as hers.

"She is not hiding from you darling. She has been kept busy with her sisters adopted ward. She is not intentionally keeping away from anyone, but she is unintentionally keeping herself away from everyone.

Do not worry Mr.."

She cocked her head, not able to remember his name and then remembering they'd never had a formal name exchange.

"Oh dear, do excuse me and my rotten manners.. My name is Esperanza."

*Andre only nodded, hoping that Esper was right that Tsa wasn't hiding on him. He could feel that she wasn't, but tell his heart that. Shaking off as if wet, her flapped his wings a couple times shaking out the old feathers that were ready to fall from his wings, to be replaced with grander ones.*

"A pleasure to meet you Esperanza, My name's Andre, though Tsa and Lucky call me Andy." He chuckled pawing at an apple himself, rolling it around with a icy blue colored hoof. "I'm sure there will be a time when I can meet the whole family and you will meet mine. That is if..." There he goes again, becoming tongue tied, but then again he wasn't sure that Tsa loved him in return. As a friend yes, he knew that much, but he knew not if it was more then that.
