The spotted stallion blinked his eyes as he looked around the large opening. He kept thinking about his two daughters that looked a lot like himself and much like their mother. Slowly, he drifted off into a little bit of a dream about his daughters playing in the field infront of him with one another and flapping their small wings. A small smile was shone on his face as he kept a watchful eyes on them. All of a sudden, the sound of a barking in the distance woke him up. Maylin, his familiar, must've found something worth chasing.
Slowly, he turned around and began walking off towards Maylin to make sure she didn't get hurt in any way while chasing after whatever this thing she had found was. The blue wolf was soon found munching on a tiny little mouse that would fill her up. The wolf only ate mice and berries, or whatever their two legger brought home to the two of them.
Once Apple knew Maylin was okay, he walked back over to where he was standing earlier. Again, he looked out at the open field and swished his tail at a few pesky flies the bit at his back legs. A stomp of his hoof sent the bugs flying away and off to a new animal to suck blood from.

*the bugs swarmed as the sun glared down at the earth from above. Wasn't it enough that she was sweating the ice cream cones off her flank and that her mane was stuck to her neck? Annoying to no end was what the young Usdia thought as she stomped across the clearing. Her ears turned back to ignore the flurry of insects that buzzed about her light lavender body in attempts to land.* "Go away you blasted things." She shouted shaking all over to dislodge as many as she could, her tail flicking away others. "Go find someone else to chew on and leave me out of it." *She didn't seem all too happy with the attention she was getting, true it was something to think about, but surely they could stop the bitting. Shaking her head to get a pinkish forelock out of her face, Lickety-Split hadn't seen anyone else around. She presumed that she was alone and went on her sulking walk, looking for someone else to show her some much needed attention...*

The sound of another's voice made the stallion's ears perk straight up. This unfamiliar voice didn't sound to pleased with whatever was happening to her. Apple could tell it was a mare by the sound of her voice. It wasn't low like a stallions, but it wasn't squeaky like a foals. The trees help Apple stay a little cool, but the flies were monsterous in the shade. The flower on his side usually attracted all sorts of bugs such as butterflies, bees, and any other nectar seeking six leggers.
A small snort came from the stallion as he stomped his hoof again at the last bit of flies the bit at his leg. The vine, that was passed down to one of his daughters, was hidden by a piece of his mane that was stuck to the side of his neck by a little bit of sweat. His long tail swished at the flies that buzzed around his legs and rump. The sound of a growl made the stallion's ears flick back as she listened to Maylin tear at her food.
Finally, the stallion decided that if he moved around a bit the flies should have more trouble landing on him, so he walked in the direction of the voice of the mare that he had heard only a few seconds ago.

*She shook again o dislodge the little gnats that were very insistent. Making a small break for a shaded area she sighed glaring at the ground. Her tail twitched behind her as a bug nipped at her flank, were they trying to eat her markings? Surely not turning quick she noticed something else moving across the open. He certainly was larger then anything she had seen before.*
"Well, well. What do we have here?" she pondered watching him walk apparently toward her?
*Tossing her mane a bit and trying to get herself at least a little presentable in this steamy weather. Lickety-Split put on her best smile. Though it was still one that couldn't fool someone. Stepping back out into the light she watched the stallion as he apparently drew ever closer to her, she wondered what he thought of little her.*
"Well hello handsome." She said in a jest watching him, "Where have you been hiding? Under a stone and behind a bush?" she giggled at this, well knowing that cute words could win almost any stallion over.

The sound of his hooves stepping on a twig and snapping it made the stallion's ears quickly perk up. He took a deep breath in as he tried to keep as cool as possible. Long tail was heard slapping against his side as the stallion continued to walk towards the direction of the mare that he had heard talk to herself... or someone else.
Finally the mare came into view and the stallion looked her over once before looking a little curious. Maybe this was the foal of the mare, so where was the mare? Would she get mad at Apple for being too close to her child?
Either way, Apple quickly stopped in his tracks and smiled at the mare that was making herself look tidey. A fake smile was sitting on her face as Apple looked her over once more to make sure he was really seeing this.
When the mare spoke, he knew she wasn't a foal at all, in fact she was the mare he was looking for. A small nod of his head was his greetings to her as she spoke to him. The size of the mare just made the stallion think more about his children, and he quickly spaced out for a second missing the mare's questions. "Hello miss." He said trying to pretend he was listening to her.

*Lickety-Split watched the stallion as he seemed to stop and look around. She wondered what he was looking for... Was it a larger female that could possibly be taking care of her? She knew her name had 'Baby' in it, but surely any stallion could tell that she was an adult. She was just... Pint sized compared to the larger soquili around. Rolling her eyes a little, Lickety-Split only nodded.*
"Yes, hello." She said with much impatience as she shook again to scatter the bitting insects. "What were you looking for anyways? Someone who can stare at you at your level?" she asked tilting her head to the side a little looking up at him.

Apple blinked his eyes as he looked at the ice cream looking markings on the mare. He smiled at them and then turned around to look at the apple markings on his rump. So far they had something in common, but Apple hoped that, that wasn't the only thing they had in common. His tail swished a little at the pesky bugs that had travled from the mare towards him.
The impatience in the mare's voice made Apple's ears twist around to listen to her. Maybe he should pay a little more attention to their conversation. "I was looking to see if there was anyone else with you, like a wolf friend or something." He said listening to the sounds of Maylin still ripping at the rabbit.

*A brow raised when he stated that he was looking for someone that was with her, a familiar? Who was that? Sure years past she knew of a dragon that was left behind... Somewhere... Spike was his name she remembered. Shaking her head she seemed to pout at the thought of being alone.*
"Nope, only me and my shadow." She pipped stepping closer to the stallion, "Well of course you now, But I suppose a big guy like yourself wouldn't want to hang around lil' ol' me." She 'teased' hoping to bowl him over... A bit anyways.
*Turning her head up a little, a large grin plastered on her face as she stood here, her eyelashes batting a little all cute like. Her tail twitched over her flank to keep what flies it could at bay for the moment until she released her 'cute' stance and shook. All the while she wondered what this stallion was really thinking about.*

A small stomp of his hoof sent multiple flies off in opposite directions off of his leg that he had stomped. His ears kept perked towards the mare so that he wouldn't miss a word she said and wouldn't seem rude for not listening to her words.
"I don't mind staying around." He said as his ears twisted towards the sound of birds chirping to one another. The spotted stallion wondered why they always seemed to sing, even when things were bad. Shrugging his thoughts away, he twisted his ears back to the little mare.
"It is quite boring being alone." Apple admitted as he twitched his tail from side to side to keep the little bit of bugs that were still left flying around his legs. He remembered what the two legger had done to him whenever he had multiple bugs on him, but this mare would probably not want to get her coat a little muddy. He soon grew bored with this situation and smiled at the usdia. "Well, I must go now. I'm sure you would like to be alone once more." With that, he turned and walked off quickly.
