Xiu: *gives Rivener an odd look before floating off to Hazeline* Hazeline, what's a tampon?
Hazeline: Wha-?! Xiu...where did you...learn of such a thing?
Xiu: Domo found it on the floor. I was told that it's a women thing. Why? It isn't very feminine looking.
Hazeline: ... Was there anything on the said object?
Xiu: No, why?
Hazeline: *looks relieved* Alright, I'll tell you what that is. You know ummm...reincarnation?
Xiu: Yes.
Hazeline: We-ell... some people believe that humans are one of the highest form of reincarnation and obviously if you are evil you'd be reincarnated as a worm or a prey animal while if you are good, you'd be reincarnated as a 'higher' being.
Xiu: Yes, yes, go on.
Hazeline: Well...men are supposed to be 'higher' than women and women are generally people who were good but not that good so in order to atone for it, women bleed every month...
Xiu: Ah , blood atonement. Yes, I do believe I've read about it in some ancient civilization where people cut themselves to atone for their crimes.
Hazeline: Ummm...yes, but this...because we are women, it occurs naturally.
Xiu: So errr...what does it have to do with the tampon?
Hazeline: That...thing is used to stop the blood from spilling and causing a mess where it is not wanted.
Xiu: So I was right that it acts as a plug of sorts?
Hazeline: Errr...yes...in a way...
Xiu: But where do you ...bleed? I've never seen you or Mrs.Bediever bleed...
Hazeline: Mrs. Bediever is too old to bleed; I mean....She has bled her fair share so once someone has bled enough, the bleeding stops for good but that's beside the point. Anyway,because blood is sacred and most sacred things are secret, I'm afraid you aren't allowed to see where the blood comes from. It's a...form of social etiquette Xiu.
Xiu: Ah...?
Hazeline: Just let it simmer alright?
