Personality:
Odessa is a bit of the quiet type. It's not unknown for her to try to disappear into the background in any social gathering. Despite this she is naturally curious which tends to lead her into engagements that she usually wouldn't pursue herself. She is very intelligent, and most days someone can find her with her nose stuck in a good book, often daydreaming of how things could be.

Traits
Good:
Attentive - Odessa could listen to someone else talk for hours without ever feeling the need to interrupt. Helpful - She loves to help anyone that needs it. Obedient - She listens to those in authority over her, unless for any reason she feels as though it would harm others, or herself.
Bad:
Daydreamer - She often gets lost in the stories she reads, and sometimes it can be hard to break her out of them to get her attention. Socially Awkward - Not having grown up around children her own age, she generally keeps to herself and has a hard time talking or conveying thoughts in a social atmosphere. Naive - She tends to take people at face value and believes that all people are good, even if they make bad decisions.
Likes
Books - She has stacks of these everywhere in her doom room and it's not often that you'll see her without one. Learning New Things - She is a great student and since she hasn't had much chance to learn before, she tends to soak things up. Cute things - She has a huge weakness for stuffed animals, toys and pets.
Dislikes
Bullies - She hates seeing anyone put in a bad position, or someone looking down on other people. Being Emotional - Even though she can be quite emotional at times, she takes great pains to try to keep all of that to herself.. And if she doesn't... she'll spend days hating herself for what she's done. Things She Can't Control - Odessa is very used to being the "adult" and having to do everything on her own, because of this she has a hard time accepting when things get out of her reach.

History:
Odessa grew up in a small home with just her and her mother. It was a small family, but it was home. Her and her mother were very close, always leaning on each other for support. However, at a young age, Odessa's mother became very sick. So Odessa learned how to do everything she could to keep the house running, food, cleaning, laundry. She rarely had time to just be a child, but to see her mother smile she'd do it all over again.
Even though it was something she had been expecting for a long time, it came as gut wrenching when her mother finally did pass. For days, Odessa hadn't known what to do. Everything had blurred together and she felt extremely lost. She remembered a woman coming, someone she had met only a handful of times. She knew this woman was her mother's sister, she could tell it in the way she walked, and in her expressions. Her aunt took Odessa home with her. It was there that she had met her cousins for the first time, and that had almost made her able to remember what happiness felt like. However, every time she looked at her aunt.. she would leave the room, she knew then that the woman was grieving as much as she was.
She felt a strange sense of sadness that her aunt would never allow her to get close to her. It was then for that reason that Odessa had decided to go to the Academy. Perhaps it was best to get a new start, and not live in a reminder of things she had lost. For the first time it was something that she and her aunt actually agreed on. So, her aunt made the arrangements, promising to pay for the tuition as long as Odessa kept up her grades.
Cassie: She met Cassie while she was a Junior and Cassie a Senior. They met while Odessa was looking for school books in the library around her first day of school.
Lazarus: She met Lazarus when they were both Juniors, even though he was from Arkham. They met while wandering the school halls, trying to familiarize herself with the classrooms.

Part 1: The Basics
What is your full name? Odessa Nevere
Where and when were you born? Around 14 years ago in a little town in Geist territory that next to no one has heard of.
Who are/were your parents? My mother's name was Selina. She was a waitress. My father's name is Kex, I hardly remember him, nor do I know if he's still alive.
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? Not that I know of, though it wouldn't surprise me. (OOC she has a half sister named Amelia.)
Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. I currently live in a dorm room at the Academy, though the custody papers say I live with my Aunt in the city.
What is your occupation? Eldritch Student.
Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
To which social class do you belong? My mother and I were poor, though my aunt is much more well off, not that she gives me much of it, but at least she pays for my schooling so I'm out of her way.
Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? I'm pretty frail for the most part.. so I'd fail at any sort of physical argument.
Are you right- or left-handed? Right.
What does your voice sound like? Small, quiet and perhaps kind of raspy at times, but very feminine.
What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? Not sure.
What do you have in your pockets? I don't really have pockets.. but if I did I suppose a pencil.
Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I hide behind my books a lot..
Part 2: Growing Up
How would you describe your childhood in general? It was hard, especially when my mother started to fall ill and I became more like a parent than a child. But we made due and we always made sure we had each other. Some of those were the best times of my life, even if we didn't have the money to eat.
What is your earliest memory? My mother taking me to the aquarium and when I asked where my dad was, she told me that he had to leave on another trip. There was something in her voice that told me something was wrong, and I later realized he wasn't coming back.
How much schooling have you had? Currently in junior high.
Did/Do you enjoy school? For the most part. It's still taking me some getting used to as this school is a lot bigger than the one I went to before.
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? Mostly at home because I had to, my mother couldn't take care of her responsibilities anymore.
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. My mother. She was always so strong and smiling despite any pain she was feeling.
While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I didn't have any other family growing up. It was just the two of us.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A writer. I still do.
As a child, what were your favorite activities? Reading, writing and cooking for my mother.
