All he could do was take his seat once again. Pulling Bloom's carrier against himself, he whispered soft and comforting words to her and slipped a couple pieces of food to her. "She's usually very sweet and active... loves to be out in the garden and eating bugs or curled up on leaves." His presentation chance fell flat on its face and continued to dig itself six feet under. He could only cross his fingers for his classmate who was also having troubles at this point.

Prompt Answer: After a bit of struggling with getting her to calm the fuc-- heck down, Ganymede finally managed to distract his little flitterat with a treat. Since his classmate who was also having troubles hadn't managed to get his familiar to come out of its carrier, he figured he should probably just... go through with his presentation...
Did he even remember his presentation? Gods. He shuffled up to the front of the class, then carefully held her up for the others to see. "This is Rubelite... She was a present that was given to me before I moved into the Junior dorms.... She's really smart, I have to use special locks on her cage or she'll figure out how to undo them." He trailed off, watching the rat as she contemplated making a leap for it again.".......She's really smart and curious, so... that's why she keeps trying to get away." He shrugged, figuring that was good enough for now. He then returned to his seat to carefully tuck her back into her carrying cage... At least this was over with.

Right... my favorite familiar.. Odessa took a deep breath. She wasn't very good at giving speeches and it was obvious by the way she fidgeted. "Umm.." She stuttered a little but somehow managed to regain her composure. "This is Amula, she is a Vespercat. She is pretty playful and I have to play with her every day. She likes to sleep on the bed with me at night and is quite the cuddler. She isn't too big on strangers though and tends to hide whenever I have people over." She added with a small smile.

Prompt Answer: Ivory tapped her eraser against her desk, her eyes skimming down her notes on how to make this food for the Vespercat. She glanced over at Ebony who looked bored... as usual. Like her sister this wasn't her favorite class, Math or Alchemy topped making animal food any day. Turning her focus back to the task at hand Ivory sighed and put the pencil down and started putting together the ingredients as her teacher had instructed. "Hope that vespercat likes this" she whispers to herself.

Prompt Answer:"Stupid food recipe" the tomboy of the twins mutters under her breathe. She'd not even do this class if it wasn't for the fact thatshe needed 4 electives in order to graduate. She didn't notice her twin glancing over at her from their desk, she just wanted to get this over with and get to history class. Learning about the nightmares of the past held a far higher interest level for her then this. If only to get it over with Ebony started to mix the recipe together.
Frostbite frowned down at the paper, chewing at the top of his pencil. What kind of animal did they not already have as a familiar? How about a really big one. Frost put pencil to paper.
The familiar I'd want would be a large one, one that could carry me around when I'm an adult...or would be able to carry luggage and stuff. I think it would look a lot like a kidden, but much bigger. And skinnier...and not like a goat on stilts. It could have giant antlers on its head and sharp teeth to help with protection; especially if its owner is an explorer. And it would have big, feathery wings and a feathery bird tail that it could use to fly and carry us from one place to another. Or escape when things going wrong. I would name this creature a...Peryton.
Frost looked at his essay and pulled a face. Describing an image in his head was harder than it seemed. He could tell a few of the sentences got away from him, too. Oh well, hopefully Sirius would accept it anyway.

Oh, this class just had to be Nissa's new favorite! Design a familiar? Nissa did that in her free time! This would be super easy!
At least, she hoped so.
Nissa had always been a fan of the Fluffbugs--which made sense, considering she was a Fey. Sometimes they just weren't as cute as she wanted them to be though.
What if I put a fluffbug and a jackalope together? she wondered to herself as she tapped her pencil to the paper for a long moment, a large grin curling on her lips as a few ideas struck her head, and thus she began to write.
My familiar would be super soft and fluffy! It would a body kinda like a jackalope, but a lot fluffier. Its ears would still be shaped kinda the same, but they'd look like butterfly wings! The wings could lay down, or stick straight up, just like regular jackalope ears! Instead of horns it would have little antennae like me, and its tail would look like a flower.
Its fur would be all different bright and pretty colors, especially the wings and flower!
And then maybe some breeds of it would have regular butterfly wings too, so they could actually fly more than a few feet! I think I'd call it... A flutterbun!

The class was called Care of Magical Creatures... why did she have to come up with a creature that wasn't even real? What was that supposed to teach her about taking care of a familiar?
A sigh fell from the young Litch's lips as she shifted around in her seat, glowering at her paper as she tried desperately to figure out what to write. She tried splicing together existing familiars, but had little success.
It wasn't until she sat back in her seat and began staring around the room that something occurred to her.
Why weren't there many reptilian familiars?
Lilianne immediately sat back up afterwards, picking up her pencil as images began to come to mind.
I picture a pretty small familiar that wouldn't get much bigger than your hand, teacher. It looks like a lizard, or a gecko specifically, with a thick tail with little sharp scales at the end that stick out. When it's young, that's all it is, a lizard. When it gets older though, it sprouts wings like a chimera. As it gets older though, the wings get feathery like a bird, and its body gets longer.
It's kinda like a little dragon, but it doesn't get very big at all. It's a pocket dragon.

Taegan sat back in their seat. The quiz seemed fairly easy to them. They were confident that they would do well, especially as they read through the questions before beginning to answer them.
Lestari screwed her face up at the announcement of a quiz. Not cool, dude. Whatever, she could totally handle this. She had a few 'magical creatures' herself. She had this. With a smile, she scrawled her answers down as she came to each question. She just wasn't confident about some of these questions...crud.
