Sitting alone in the classroom, Lazarus sat on one of the desks and swung his legs back and forth underneath it. He had to wait a bit before going to an event after school, but this time was growing increasing hard for him to just stay put in this room and wait. There was so much more he could be doing right now, but instead he was stuck here waiting for the event to be closer to starting. Getting bored, he began to whistle a simple tune he had made just just then, tapping his hand against the desk to make a beat. If he was going to wait, he was at least going to enjoy it some by playing some music. As he began to figure out the general beat of everything, he began to sing a little instead of whistle. The lyrics were simple, about how he liked going to this academy, but they also had meaning behind them. Not only that, turns out Lazarus was quite the singer.

Odessa shut the door to her locker and began to roam through the halls. She was still trying to get used to where each class was and she figured the best way was to walk to each one to help her orient herself. She had managed to find the Math and Language Arts classes on her own, but she had to keep double checking the numbers to figure out what all the others were. She stopped for a moment, hearing some music coming from one of them. Was that the Music room? She stopped, pulling open the door when she noticed a single student in there, singing. She smiled softly, it was a pleasant tune, much better than she could do, music definitely wasn't her strong point.
"Umm... hello." She gave a slight wave, still feeling very unsure of herself, though at the same time she hadn't wanted to interrupt. "Is this the Music room?" Her voice was quiet and she nervously put some hair behind her ear.

The noise that wasn't his own voice caught the baphomet off guard, causing him to lose his balance in the chair he had been leaning on only two legs instead of the four it had ", Ohhhhh my-!" CRASH! Now he was on the floor of the classroom, rubbing his head achingly. When Lazarus got into his singing moods when alone, he tended to be more easily off guard. Despite all this, Lazarus wasn't mean about the situation, just rubbing the back of his head that has just slightly bummed the desk behind him. He was going to be perfectly alright ", Owww... Sorry about that. You have a question?"

Seeing the male fall backwards, Odessa's eyes went wide and she ran into the room, trying to help him before any serious damage was caused, thankfully he seemed to be alright, but she had obviously been too slow to help. "I'm really sorry! I hadn't meant to surprise you!" There was a faint blush coating her cheeks and she tried desperately to hide behind the book she had been carrying. "I was just wondering if this was the music room..." It was a slight mumble compared to her previous exclamation. "I mean... I heard music coming from here... so I only assumed." Her grey eyes peered above her book, eyeing him carefully to make sure he had been alright from his fall, however, she was trying to avoid eye contact as well. Being around other people made her nervous, she much preferred to stay in a classroom setting where she could learn, but she knew she couldn't completely stay a hermit forever, either.

"I get easily surprised when I am singing on my own. No worries, it was an accident," Lazarus gave the geist a small smile. She had seemed so worried for him when she had seen him fall. At least this nightmare was a genuinely nice one it seemed. He had seen quite a few mean ones ever since more mutated nightmares had come to campus. Despite his most of the time carefree personality, nightmares who were mean were a really big pet peeve of his ", The music room? Well, we do meet up here sometimes if we are not actually preforming any music, so I guess it could be counted as such. So yeah, this is the music room classroom." Getting up slowly, Lazarus became more interested in this geist. Who was she? WHy had she come in after hearing music in here? Was she interested in learning? ", My name is Lazarus. What is your name?"

When he came closer she hid a little further behind her book, though she tried to make it as inconspicuous as possible. She didn't want to cause any discomfort to him, even if she was a bit shy. "Nice to meet you, Lazarus, I'm Odessa Nevere." She gave a small little curtsy. "I'm new here, and I'm trying to get acquainted with the layout of the school. I hope I'm not interrupting too much.. You do have a lovely voice.." The last bit was said much quieter than the rest and perhaps with a blush starting to coat her cheeks, though she tried desperately to hide it.

Koiasi Lazarus is acting weird... that okay? "What a pretty name," He gave her another soft smile. The key to befriending shy nightmares was to be gentle about approaching them and to go at their pace. He always felt pretty bad whenever he failed to do so ", I know the school pretty well. I have been here for a while now-... Oh!" So she thought he had a nice singing voice. That was nice to know. Most of the time he never got recognition for doing well after all ", Thank you Odessa Nevere. Can... can I just all you Odessa or... or even Odette?" Suddenly his normal outgoing self was dissipating, nervously stroking his left hand with his right. For some reason this girl had suddenly made him very nervous after getting a good look at her. She was kind of cute, like that character Odette he had been reading about from a ballet. Was this because he wasn't used to being alone with a girl? ", I mean... You remind me of a very pretty character named Odette and I just... umm... sorry I am not normally like this. Perhaps you could stay and listen some more if you want?"

VerityHattress lol It's okay. She's never had a lot of interaction with other people, so she probably wouldn't even notice. xDD Odessa peered over her book, eyeing him as he spoke. She wanted to point out that her name was Odessa, not Odette, as they were completely different names that didn't have anything to do with the other, but as he continued to speak she just blushed and stayed quiet. "Odette.. you mean The Swan Princess?" She asked, her voice suddenly taking on more color than it had before. "Have... you seen it..?" She asked, chewing on a lip. "I've never had a chance myself.. but I've read a book.. or two.." She started to flush again as she thought about the story and it took her a moment to come back to reality. "Umm.. you can call me Odessa.. or Odette.. if you like.." She took a breath, it wasn't her name, but she did like the meaning behind it. And.. had he implied she was pretty? She couldn't help but flush again, pulling her books up a little higher to hide her cheeks. "I... don't mind listening to you sing.. if you want to, that is.." Was she getting even more nervous?

He gave a nod ", Yeah, I have read the book and one day hope to see it for myself," he continued to blush back as well, looking away for a bit in embarrassment. Seriously, he had to get a grip on himself ", Perhaps if we become friends, we could see it together?" Well, he was jumping to huge conclusions ", I mean... you seem very nice and I would like being friends with you yes." He lifted his hand to rub the back of his neck, chuckling nervously ", So... I'm sorry if I am moving too fast for you. I'm not used to talks like this I guess."

A smile crossed her lips and she seemed to almost bounce a little. "So you read then?" She let her books loosen in her arms slightly so her face wasn't quite so hidden. She became more excited at the prospect of finally meeting someone who liked to read, though she did note to herself that he hadn't quite said that he liked to read, just that he had. Still, she couldn't help herself.
At his statement, she felt her cheeks grow very warm all the sudden, unknown to even herself why. She nibbled on her lip and nervously shuffled her books. "I'd... like that.." Her eyes were twinkling at the thought. She had wanted to see plays since she was a little girl. Her mother had saved up the money for years and was able to take her to one before she died, it was something that Odessa would never forget, and since then she had always wanted to see one again, if nothing else for the memories of her mother that it might bring back. She smiled warmly, pulling her books into a tighter grip so she wouldn't lose them. "I'd like to be friends.. if you would, I mean. I don't know many people here yet, so I would definitely appreciate it." She tried to reassure him without drawing too much attention to his statement, she hadn't wanted him to feel awkward.

"I don't read a lot, but I do enjoy it from time to time," He admitted, noticing how the mentioning of books got her excited ", Even though I am known for being a bit of a wild one, reading is a really good past time, especially for someone with a huge imagination like I do. It seems you enjoy them too, even more so than me. I like that." There she was getting nervous again at the mention of friends. So she hadn't met too many here yet? Well then, perhaps being her friend would be a good thing. They could go see plays together, read books, and maybe even sing! The last one excited him the most, a soft grin forming on his lips at the thought of singing with someone else. Even if she wasn't that good, it sure would be better than singing alone ", Friends then we shall try to be. We can go see plays together, read books, and... well... maybe even sing together?"

Odessa watched him, a small smile on her lips as she nodded just a little. "Hey, at least you read.. I know a lot of people who don't.." She seemed even more at ease after this statement. Even if reading wasn't his forte, she did have a lot more respect for someone who did. "I just.. I love reading. There are so many different worlds you can visit and things that you would never be able to see otherwise." She felt her cheeks grow warm.
The whole prospect of hanging out with a guy around her own age made her a little flustered. She had never had many, if any, guy friends and she was sure it had shown on her face, but unlike before she didn't try to hide this time. She had to admit, he was pretty cute and the whole thought of it... Well.. let's just say that her mind tended to wander. "I.. would love that.." She nibbled her lip before blinking a little at the last statement. She remembered her mother singing before her death, but that was never something that Odessa had been that good at. "I... can try... but I should warn you that my voice isn't very good.." She had to admit that people in general made her nervous, but was there a reason this boy was making her even more so than usual?

Koiasi Shall we complete this up soon? "Music and theater are my ways of going to a different world," Lazarus explained, reaching to gently take her hand. He could see she was nervous about the singing bit, especially so when she mentioned she wasn't good at it ", That doesn't matter to me. I just want to sing with someone for a change, and I would love for it to be you. Even if you are not the best, that doesn't mean anything to me. I am sure you actually have an amazing singing voice, you just haven't trained it yet." He gave her hand a small squeeze ", I can teach you how to sing. It is my passion after all. I'm always writing songs and such, so I know a lot about music and singing. You okay with me teaching you?"

VerityHattress Sure! =3 Means I'm that much closer to growing her! Odessa wasn't quite so convinced, but she smiled nonetheless. "I'm... not sure I could ever be that comfortable having people's eyes on me.." She shifted nervously at the thought but she took his hand and sat down next to him. Suddenly an idea popped in her head and smiled a bit. "Oh, I know.. maybe if you'd like.. I could make food for us. I may not be the best at music, but I do know how to cook. You know... maybe as a thank you..?" She flushed again, her eyes darting to the ground. For a second her eyes caught sight of the clock on a the wall and her whole face went bright red. "Oh but..! I'm really sorry, I lost track of the time! I have to be at class!" She darted up, looking rather flustered and bowed her head. "Another time maybe?" She grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled her number and dorm room on it, passing it toward him. "Maybe I could even cook before we do it this time, so it's more proper." She flashed a smile and then nibbled her lip, "See ya!" She then darted from the room, hoping she wouldn't be too late.

Koiasi Likewise. I am so close to growing him up! I have one more rp to finish with Panda Moor, then I plan on doing the life changing rp myself. "We wouldn't have to since in front of others, just between ourselves," he wouldn't dream of forcing her to sing in front of others if she didn't want to. It would be all her choice after all. At the mentioning of food he nodded. He wasn't huge into food, but it was delicious none the less. Besides, food could be considered an art form! When Odessa saw the clock, he became a little surprised at how she went from shy to Miss Speedy. She sure didn't like being late to class. That was one aspect she wouldn't like about him, but it was one aspect he could change about himself to better suite her ", Oh! Ummm... It was nice talking to you. I'll try to see you after classes tomorrow," And with that she was gone. His own Odette was now rushing off to class. What had he gotten himself into?
