Epsilon Ten wakes up with no memories of who she is or how she got in this highlighter pink tent. She fights for her life, but dies after a crowning moment of awesome.
She is then awakened by Dr. H to start anew as herself, Candace Pennington.
We are Legion Caelius informs the new Hunter trainees of their new lot in life and has them introduce themselves.
You are not prepared. They immediately embark on their first test mission. They don't really get much done.
The Box The trainees are given their division assignments. Candace is placed in Mist while being informed it is because she is far too inadequate for any other division. She is determined to prove this isn't true.
Threads of fate She is then united with her new permanent partner: Atropos.
Toughen up, Soldier! Candace meets Jerry! This is the start of something newwwwww...
Those who wait still watch The trainees are taken on their first excursion into Halloween via golems during the Floresctival. Candace is stuck as a male kelpie. What the hell is a kelpie?
The Damaged Tent Apparently a kelpie is a horse creature that attracts other horse things, and Candace aka 'Cade' decides to take advantage of this new discovery. They go to a fish stealing booth and Calder works very hard to get nineteen floresce eggs for Cade. A shame Cade leads him on and shatters his heart into a million tiny pieces.
You got some splainin to do! Candace comes across Harrison who turns out to be her old buddy Epsilon Thirteen. Despite a misunderstanding Candace is very happy to see her friend again.
Several months later...!
The Haunted House Mission. The trainees are brought to their newest mission. A search and retrieve, but what are they looking for? They are told to form groups so Candace is quick to snatch up Jerry and Harrison. They dub themselves Team Killer Unicorn and are sent off into the house to go through five strange rooms. Things happen. Boos happen. Costume changes occur. Candace kisses Jerry; Jerry asks her out on a date while they're literally being tickled to death. It's utter chaos and ******** until finally they are transported to the Domain of Space where they successfully capture students only for Aria to come and ruin everything.
...Wait a second! That's not..what the hell just happened?!
The battle ends dramatically and the hunters return to their home, arriving in an impromptu triage tent. Candace explains to Clarice some of what happened. She then hobbles home with Jerry.
Candace eventually is given permission to take Circe, Caelius' scythe... out for walkies.
She comes across Jordan and leaves him for dead.
She attempts to toughen up Before only to knock him unconscious.
Frustrated, she calls out for someone with balls to fight her. She gets Ariane.
Things go well in her fight with Harrison as he tells her she wins and things go along smoothly...
Until she fights Jerry.
She then returns angrily to Caelius, is given a lesson to learn, and is forced to clean up her own mess with no help from the Death division leader.
The first thing she does is bring a peace offering to Jerry. They talk and decide their current relationship. Things don't end terribly.
They meet the Hatchlings. Things don't end well. She leaves to calm Jerry and later returns to make amends with Jordan.
Without missing a beat there is yet another mission, this time a cleanup job in the Sahara Desert.
It's after that she realizes her leg has been through a lot of crap. She attempts to visit Clarice, only to end up with Dr. H instead. Though...apparently it wasn't a bad idea. It seems he has magical healing hands.
She leaves, very frustrated, and has an overdue chat with Atropos. The two agree to try and work things out between them. This leaves her alone...at her own disposal.
Nope. She visits Jerry Instead. The two uh...relieve stress?
Once again the trainees find themselves in Halloween. This time Candace is a female Jiang-Shi. They capture All The Things but are sent back to Deus Ex without any of their catches, though they do bring back four horsemen heirs.
Famine is ******** crazy.
Candace spends time getting a few spars in. She approaches Clarice for the very excellent stuff H mentioned she took from him, and then allows her to release her frustrations by basically beating her up. The two er...are they friends now? Let's say they're friends now. Yes. She also spars Bix and finally gets an overenthusiastic dance lesson of sorts from Robert who apparently holds a grudge against her.
But she doesn't have time to dwell on it. Julie calls her for a Holiday Emergency where she apparently needs Cass, Candace and Ariane to find her true love. Oooookay then. Obviously Harrison is the best choice.
A few days later Candace finds a new set of coats in her name. She has been promoted to Advanced Trainee.

Snow Sculpture ContestWith all this JOY in the air Julie holds a snow sculpture contest, which ends with their beautiful sculptures coming to life and trying to kill them. DAMNIT THIS IS WHY THEY CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!

Advanced ResponsibilitiesTurns out the Senior Hunters are going on a mission into Halloween...leaving the Intermediates in charge. Storming the CastleCandace and Cass try to rally the current Mist trainees together, only to end up splitting up. Cass and Emmaline stay to clear the Mist tower while Candace and Molly meet up At the Gate.
