So. There was a bit of rustling and bustling in the dorms. It was hard to miss it. It was a like a silent echo across the trainee dorms. New blood. While those that had awoken from the first batch had settled in, were now becoming more battle hardened, and slowly getting into the flow of just what being a hunter meant, the arrival of even newer members had set a bit of a stir on the trainee dorm floor. People came and went and no matter how it was done, it wasn’t hidden. Newbies had arrived.

But how could they, the old group dubbed ‘the strays’, really welcome the new arrivals? Pull some nasty hazing pranks? No, they would leave that to Caelius and Dr. H. Gifts? Of what? Leftovers from the cafeteria? The most simple solution is sometimes said to be the best one, and so it was with easy that some doors were simply left open. A silent invitation to interact. Personally, Marcus was hoping to meet some of those from the new bunch. And hey, maybe even some he hadn’t hung out with before. He was leaning against the door frame of his own room, hoping to see one of these newbies.

And maybe warn them about Caelius and his hair PMS.

Cass had seen better days, even after the Haunted House. She'd been able to spend some time recovering from that incident, but ultimately had started the...trials..as they were. From her most recent attempt at things she had bandages to show for her attempts, her flesh slightly charred, but nothing that looked too severe. In fact, the only reason it looked so bad was because she was bandaged up all over as it were.

Still, like the others she had heard echo of new blood in the dorms, seen a few new faces, and thus, like Marcus, had opened her door..just to close it again, hobbling out into the hall and stretching, every muscle in her body groaning as she started to make her own rounds. She would go to the new blood, rather than making them come to her.

She'd come to the conclusion that her pajamas felt better on her slightly raw flesh than real clothing did, but..well..if Caelius or Dr H came to the hallway, she wanted to look something resembling ready to go on the fly. Still, she spotted the most familiar sight for her leaning against one of the doorways, walking over to stand next to him.

"Hi, Marcus~" she greeted, seeming to groan as her body settled into its new position, but smiling none the less. "So, how many newbies do you think we've got this time around?"

Ryan had just spent most of the day napping. Which, after spending all morning with a horrible headache, sore limbs and a mouthy weapon, was something he seriously needed and though waking up in an unfamiliar room was a bit strange, he was sure he'd get used to it. He would have to.

"Think we should explore a little?" He asked Locke, who had thankfully, remained quiet while he slept. It was still strange talking to him--him being a weapon and all. But at least his personality was somewhat easy to get along with.

:Probably one of the smarter things to do. I mean, you were going the completely wrong way before when you were looking for the dorms... Way to go!:

Ryan gave a snort and pushed the door to his room open, making his way down the halls and towards--what he hoped was the building entrance.

Funny though... The hallways were almost quiet. Something that he found strange. Then again, this place was a lot more strict than any dorms he had been to, so maybe it wasn't all that surprising?

Gale was, for once, interested in seeing what was going on outside. Dressed in a pair of black sweats and a long-sleeved teeshirt that didn't quite cover the horizontal scar across his throat. A few bandages were wrapped around his arms and hands, which weren't visible when he was wearing his uniform gloves, and one more was around his forehead.

Clearly all of the "strays" - for lack of a better term - had seen better days.

But instead of staying inside of his own room, like he had at Bix's party, Gale had moved to stand against his own doorway, curious to see what the newly awakened trainees looked like. It wasn't really a party - after all, there had been no invitations or anything, but he had seen Marcus open his door and then stand there meaningfully. He still wasn't entirely certain what to think of Marcus, and he didn't really know Cass all too well, but seeing as how they were the only two people in the hallway when Gale came out, he lifted his hand in greeting before folding his arms across his chest.

Another figure had appeared from down the hall - after a few moments he came into focus, and Gale recognized him as Ryan, one of the new trainees he'd met.

"Hey," said Gale, nodding genially at him. "How are you? Finding your way around all right?"

There's new trainees. Gonna go take their weapons? Hm? HM? Gonna go find a new shiny and try to slaughter people with that? HMMMM? Atropos still wasn't cooperating. Candace had even been trying to summon her to no avail, she would summon for all of a few seconds before forcing herself into her desummoned form again. It was getting frustrated but Candace couldn't give up; she had a huge ******** mess to clean up. Maybe a nice jog? Perhaps she could even get some company for it. Stretching her arms high up over her head and stepping out of her room...to another party? Well, no. Not a party, just the hall that was usually empty and quiet had several people in it for once.

One of them was someone she didn't recognize. Giving a wave to Cass and Marcus, Candace walked over to where Gale was making nicenice with one of the new trainees. She folded her arms on Gale's head and leaned her weight into them, putting her head on her arms and using the young boy like her own personal armrest. "Ohhh, are you one of the new guys? Nice to meet you. Name's Candace. I was Epsilon Ten?" She extended an arm to offer the boy her hand, grinning pleasantly. Newbies. Newbies who could take the brunt of the abuse Caelius had been throwing at them since the beginning, newbies who didn't know of her ******** up. Yes. This was good.

"What's your division?" Candace asked, leaning over to try and peek at the back of Ryan's coat.

For the past day, after getting his weapon, Deryk spent his time augmenting his hunter uniform. It was a tricky thing to do but he managed to get it done pretty well, he felt. Satisfied, he headed out. He hadn't been able to explore all that much yet, but the place couldn't be too hard to figure out, he figured.

Tooley chimed, curious.

Before he got too far, he noticed that there were a number of people mingling in the hallways. There was Ryan up ahead, but there were a few others peeking on out their doors. Most whose faces he didn't recognize from the group he had waken up with.

"Hey guys!" he called out while waving.

Vanessa had finally figured out where her room actually was, and had spent some time putting out a few of the things she'd brought. There was a picture of Vivian put up and a few pairs of clothing stashed wherever necessary around the room. She'd found her coat and sash laying out of the bed, and quickly donned them both. She hadn't even bothered to unlace her combat boots, and simply placed her things on her bed, unshoveling out some of her cargo pockets before looking back to her doorway.

Quietly, she opened her door and walked out, glancing down the hallway to see that some other young adults had apparently assembled outside while she was 'unpacking'. She recognized one as Ryan, who had awakened with her group, and...he'd said his name was Deryk, if she was remembering correctly.

:: Hey, hey Vanessa. You going to go talk to them? ::

Vanessa gave a slight nod, glad that the tesla-cannon wasn't cracking jokes for once. Perhaps it was because he was unsummoned at the moment (taking the form of a little tesla-cannon-like-lantern pendant), but whatever had stopped his contant joking recieved a mental thanks from Vanessa. She closed her door quietly behind her, and approached the figures in the hallway, raising a hand to give the ones she recognized a slight wave. To the others, she gave a slight nod and said, "So, can I assume that most of you are from...Bix's awakening?" She had paused on the name of the albino, making sure it was the right nickname before ending. It would be good to figure out how long these other trainees had been out for.

Vanessa then overheard one of the girls, the one with dark hair, mentioning the Epsilons. "Excuse me, but did you say you were Epsilon Ten?" She asked, looking over the girl for a moment before giving her a slight smile. "I'm Vanessa. I was Epsilon Three." It was nice to see another of her old team-mates around.

"Ah... Okay and sort of, not really... Kind of took a nap until now. I was actually about to go exploring again." He admitted sheepishly. "How about you?" He asked, just as a girl came over and leaned on Gale.

How was it that everyone knew he was new? Was he that obvious, or they such a small group that they knew everyone here?

"Ryan." He answered, extending a hand towards the girl. "Don't have any other name to offer though." Again, someone who had been part of that trial. Just what had gone on for that anyways?

He gave a blank look when she asked about his division, before it finally dawned on him.

Oh right. He had just found that out actually.

"Moon, I think." He tugged his back of his coat forward for her to see. "Turns out Locke specializes in healing. Guess its why I have this too." he pointed at the red cross arm band secured to his left arm.

He turned back when another approached. This time someone he did recognize. Though it was a little hard to tell at first, now that he had a hood pulled up over his head.

"Hey there---I gotta' admit, I don't think I caught your name before. Either of you..." He added as another girl approached. She too from before.

Coming to a halt once he was closer to the small gathering, Deryk grinned while peeking out from under his hood. He took a moment to look over the other unfamiliar faces, before turning his attention to the other blonde.

"Oh! I'm Deryk. Deryk Bond. Wasn't on the island either so don't got one of those fancy code names. Though. I guess we could make up our own if we wanted. Might be kinda cool," he mused.

He stopped there, to look at the others again.

"So you guys been around for a few months like Bix then? Maybe longer?" he asked. Vanessa had asked if they were a part of Bix's awakening, but it was possible they could have been here before even the albinoy guy.

"Ow."

A pair of arms had suddenly landed on his head - a pair of arms that were attached to a very familiar person with a very familiar voice.

"Er...hello, Candace," said Gale, rolling his eyes upwards to glance at the girl, then let his gaze flicker back towards Ryan. He attempted to nod, but it didn't quite work out with the weight of Candace still on him.

"I was going to see all of these new hatchlings," said Gale, with a shrug. "I'm interested to see who we'll be working with, after all."

"I'm Vanessa. I was Epsilon Three."

Gale hesitated, in the middle of what he was going to say. He had known Candace was already an Epsilon, but the fact that more had arrived made him somewhat...well, he wasn't even sure how he should feel. Why, though, he was unsure, since he had long since gotten over what had happened. He held no grudges, but something was making him a little tense.

He tried to relax.

<< It was a long time ago. >> came Jinhai's voice, quiet and reassuring.

Right.

And, just like that, he let it go.

"Hey," said Gale, greeting the new girl with a small nod of his head - the most he could manage until Candace moved off of him. "Nice to meet you, Vanessa. I'm Gale."

Despite the sore muscles, Wilson had opted to walk around the island. He preferred to keep his body moving, painful as it was in the beginning, but eventually his arms and legs didn’t feel so heavy anymore. But eventually he entered the dorms and found his own—it was completely bare. It wasn’t surprising, but it would be pretty odd for him to keep it that way. He had been so accustomed to filling his rooms with posters and photos, the idea of having permanently-bare walls irked him.

“Gramps, is my uniform supposed to look like this? I don’t think it is,” Wilson inquired to the weapon, now reduced to a pair of green-tinted goggles hanging around his neck. Warily, he eyed the coat as he held it up in the air. It wasn’t bad…except for the holes and tattered ends. What the hell had this coat been through before he got here? Wilson frowned.

[Youngin’, do I look like I would know about your uniform’s history? I don’t have a clue either!]

He seemed disappointed as he sighed and shrugged on the thing anyways. “Oh well. Thanks for trying.”

Tattered tails fluttering behind him, Wilson eased open his door and stepped into the hallway. The first things he heard were voices a little ways off from him. He stared down the hallway, noticing a group of trainees—notably those that had been with him when he first woke up. Wilson looked particularly pleased when he noticed a familiar face. “Ryan.” He called out, walking toward the younger boy. “How’ve you been?”

"Hey, Chipmunk." Candace replied to Gale's greeting, grinning down at him. She was trying to be..friendlier. Yes. She had to fix her mess even with people who hadn't been effected by her little tirade. Wow. They were just coming out of the woodwork. Did they all get here at once like the rest of them, then? Candace pushed off Gale as she shook Ryan's hand. He..had no squad name? That was weird. Didn't they all have to do that stupid test? Maybe he just forgot his. That would make sense considering how long it'd been! Yes, that must have been it. His difficulty in remembering his new division had her chuckling and leaning over to get a look at the emblem on his coat. "Oh cool. You're the same division as Harrison. I think you'll like him, he's pretty cool. Ah..I dunno why you've got that band. Just for kicks, maybe?" Moon was defense, right? Eh. Whatever.

Another girl walked up to them and Candace hummed curiously at her words. Ah, so Bix did this? Good on him. But what really got her interest was the girl knowing her name and asking about it. She grinned. "That I am. Why? ...Did I..?" Did she kill her? Oops.

...Oh...another Epsilon. Candace blinked. She wasn't sure how to feel about this. Happy..? She didn't...really...feel a bond with them. Instead she just grinned again, offering her arms out for a hug from Vanessa. "That's great! The only Epsilons so far have been me and Thirteen!" And then another newbie popped up. "Goddamn, they're like weeds...delightful little weeds. I say it with the utmost of affection, I swear." She waved to the guy introducing himself as Deryk.

Deryk Bond.

"...You did it wrong." Candace said flat out, sighing in disappointment. "With a name like Bond you gotta use your last name first. Every time." OBVIOUSLY. "Annnnnd yeah I think we all awakened at generally the same time. Harrison lagged behind a little but that's okay. Ohhh it's so great to see new faces!" New poor saps for Caelius and Dr. H to torment.

Maybe someone should warn them.

..Who was that? So many newbies. "Hatchlings, huh?" Candace glanced at Gale and then gestured to the new death hunter with the torn up coat calling out to Ryan. "Who's that?"

There were voices in the hall; while this wasn't that unusual, something was poking at the back of Jordan's brain, insisting that there was something unusual about the conversation he could halfway hear. And it wasn't Ferros. Jordan stayed at his desk another minute, but the anomaly was nagging at him; finally, he gave up and went to open his door and look down the hall.

While he didn't personally know all the trainees, he'd gotten to recognize all of the Strays by sight, at least; he blinked a few times at the figures he didn't recognize. They didn't look like any of the senior hunters he'd seen, nor did they carry themselves with the same deadly confidence. In fact, they looked a bit uneasy. That could only mean one thing. Dr. H had cracked open more pods, and the Strays were no longer the newest Hunters on the island.

Even fresher fresh meat, Ferros smirked.

Jordan's eyes widened slightly as a thought struck him. Not all of Phoenix had woken up with their group. It was possible that some of these new arrivals were his team. Anyway, even if none of them were, it'd be a good thing to get to know the newbies, at least learn their names.

He'd gotten halfway down the hall before he noticed that Candace was among the familiar faces hanging curiously around the new group. His step slowed. Then he shook his head at himself and kept going. Avoiding the woman wasn't going to help anything. He could be civil. He stopped just at the edge of the group and tucked his hands into the pockets of his hoodie, just listening for the time being until he could pick up a conversational thread to jump in on.

Looking at the purple eyed girl, Deryk couldn't help but Laugh Out Loud at what she said. He liked the way she thinks.

"Hah! Valid point. Did that earlier in the cove. But no harm in always doing it that way," he grinned. Now he had to wonder if they had awakenings like this every few months to bring in some fresh blood. It was an interesting thing to think about in the very least.

Turning around as he heard her ask who someone was, he spotted Wilson coming up.

"Hey man. What happened with your coat? Rip it up yourself or did it come that way?" he blinked. He supposed the guy could have taken a knife to it or something while trying to alter the coat, but that seemed silly to him.

Tooley inputted.

There were people outside making noise. Was this a bad thing? No, it was usually so quiet it made Otto wish there was noise. But only if it was caused by him. This was other people. People that were not him.

Rather than sulk in his room, which was so close to being chosen as his option, Otto decided to GTFO. Maybe find food. Maybe take a walk. Maybe chuck things at other things, kick things at other already kicked things. Disturb the peace. Maybe outside there would be things to kick... or people to kick?

Oooh.. delightful. Coo'd Tenya.

The short blond kicked his door open, taking a step outside his room and slamming it closed with the back of his foot. His cold eyes scanned the halls, raising a brow incredulously. "What the Hell is all this? Block party?"
