Asterix
Race: 62.5% Elidae 25% Shifter 12.5% Ice Gender: Male Class: N/A Significant Other: N/A Physical Description: Slender, almost delicate looking.
Personality: Biosterous - Loving - Overimaginative
Asterix has always been a loud and energetic child who refuses to be tamed. He loves bouncing around his family members to find entertainment and is always the first to volunteer to do anything challenging and reckless. Still, he does adore those that he cherishes and even if he can be a bit much with his imagination and playful ways the boy does mean well in the end.
Likes Stories, Dancing, Music, Sweets & Challenges. Dislikes Sitting still, Chores & Sour things.
History: One of the youngest sons of Quiana and Siel, Asterix was raised in a new home built by his family in Pua. Of course his wandering family didn't stay there for too long, and once Asterix and Tadgh were good and travel ready they went to visit family in Matori before probably taking to the road again. At least he knows that they do have a home waiting for them in Pua for whenever they do want to return but for now he's happy to experience all of the things and to see all of his extended relatives on both sides of the family.

Matori Solo
The ocean was a beautiful sight in the early mornings. While Asterix was more of a night owl, not wanting to sleep quite as early as others in his family tried to make him, the boy had to admit that crawling out of bed while visiting their relatives in Matori was sometimes worth the effort. It was nice to see how the sunlight reflected on the crystal waves, the darker depths here somehow making the little shimmers look even more like gemstones in comparison to the clear waters of Kahi. He did miss the colorful reefs though that were back home and the Kahi settlements that his family would visit on occasion, but it was still eventful enough here to keep him mostly entertained. He had even taken up learning how to swim more from his cousins. Others would maybe just swim casually but Asterix really wanted to see how deep he could go with the rest by holding his breath and learning how to maintain his oxygen levels like the pearl divers in his aunty’s family. It was cool that even though they weren’t built like the Kahi, which was still so weird to him considering how so many of the Matori with their finned ears reminded him of the different types of Kahi living back at the islands, they still managed to find ways to stay beneath the ocean waves for longer periods of time to find treasure buried down there. The first time he had watched them pull out a pearl from a clam had completely baffled the youngling, the boy not believing that a shell could have such a thing inside of it and even more so when he saw the creepiness inside with the muscle still there! Talk about giving him the chills, just the memory brought a shiver down his spine even though he tried to look cool in front of the others. There were just some things that the boy found to be a bit too creepy like snails and anything slimy really. So many slug trails and just icky ooze made his body tighten in dismay. Something about those creepy crawlies and the like just did not settle with him, not at all. He just hoped he never got pranked like Quetzal did so that he never had to worry about something like that finding its way into his bedroom! He was so thankful that he could share a room now with Tadgh and not worry about whatever happened to Zoicite and Quetzal in their shared quarters. They were the targets more than he ever was - partly because a lot of things went over his head despite the pranks. Not that Asterix would admit that openly! He also would just prefer to think that he was simply too adorable to bother. Still, it was nice that his family had somehow managed to find the extra space in their ocean manor by opening up a storage room into a smaller bedroom for the summer. Talking about that manor though! It was a sight that also still threw him off with how big and spacious it was compared to his family’s childhood home back near Kiros. Who built a home into the cliffs like that? It was so awesome though! He was far from disgusted by the idea and enjoyed exploring his aunt’s home, especially since his own family had come from a simpler area and preferred a nomadic life at the moment by traveling from inn to inn until they came here for a bit to visit. Not many Aishans apparently lived in manors, even the bigger houses that the elders and some of the mystics shared weren’t that crazy back in the islands! His aunties though loved collecting so many interesting things from their treasure hunting adventures and the sight of the various objects throughout the house always caught his attention as he begged to hear every story and explanation for each piece whenever Nanami or Noelani had the time to spare for him. There was even his auntie’s study room with artifacts hidden behind glass cabinets, something that he had never seen before save for when he was looking at the Belrean shops that one time they visited before flying over here. Some of it was just old tablets with faded engravings while the more interesting pieces that caught Asterix’s attention included dancing fans or weapons, the curved hilts of the Oban blades intriguing him especially when he found one that had glass gemstones along the handle. How had they managed to bring that back home?! Surely it had cost a pretty penny or had they simply sneaked away with it? Perks of treasure hunting, he guessed. If you found it then technically you could claim it since no one realized it existed in the first place, right? Asterix would nearly be tempted to think about doing such things if it wasn’t for the extensive amount of work that he knew his aunties put into digging out those objects. Could he even imagine going out there to an endless sea of sand to just dig around while sweating to death under the Oban sun? The very thought made his nose crinkle in distaste. He truly wasn’t one for that. Plus the amount of creepy crawlies and potentially dangerous beasts roaming about those old ruins was definitely another nope factor for the youngling. What if he reached into some crevice to try to pull out an object to only be greeted by something creepy instead? His body shivered as he imagined it. Nope, no thank you!
At least it wasn’t awful walking along the beach in the early morning like this. Asterix did have to acknowledge that much since he could take his time enjoying things while combing the beach. The ocean breeze fought off the heat of the sunlight and the sand wasn’t completely toasty yet since it was too early for the sunlight to have impacted it too much. So he was fine just walking along with his bare feet, his toes digging into the sand as he checked for any shells or something interesting. Unlike the darkness of a tomb the boy trusted the open beach to not have quite as many nasty surprises though he did make a face at a pile of seaweed that he promptly avoided. “Oh, there’s one!” He grinned as he darted forward to grab a particularly spiraling shell that was a deep blue with orange and pink speckles before the tide could wash it away again. “Gotcha!” Asterix held it at the very tip, making sure that there wasn’t a friend inside before letting out a sigh of relief and plopping it into the small basket he was carrying. The last time he had tried that there had been little claws to pinch at his fingers, the surprise attack from the shell making him throw the small hermit crab back into the ocean without thinking. So he had been a bit more wary going forward, even taking his time to wiggle each shell as he continued adding them to his basket. At least he was finding some nice shells this morning before the bigger waves washed them away again. There was a green one with a twisted pattern on it, another one that looked like a pink horn and a few other colorful ones that he found mixed in with some pristine white shells that had somehow managed to make it to shore without breaking. It wasn’t like the amazing treasures that his aunties had but it would be nice to have some colorful shells lining the shelves of the room that he was currently using. He could always pick up a couple extra for Tadgh as well to see if he liked any of them, as long as Asterix wasn’t too terribly attached to a particular one like the orange and white stone he currently held. It looked like glass but was foggier and also wasn’t sharp because it was smoothed out from the waves washing over it time after time, the sea glass shimmering in the sunlight as Asterix twisted it back and forth. Would there be more like these? His gaze narrowed thoughtfully as he looked back down the beach, the boy intently picking through the smooth stones in the damp sand before running away again as the tide came back. Not today! He stuck his tongue out at the waves, laughing as he continued his game of hide and seek with the ocean as the waves kept coming in to wash away whatever he missed each time. By the time that he had to return for breakfast the youngling would have quite a collection of shells and seaglass that the early morning tide had brought in for him to discover during his morning walk along the shore. Maybe being a treasure hunter in Oba seemed a bit daunting, but it was pretty fun to see what treasures he could find on a beach like this at least!
