Yona is an educated young lass who fiercely loves her family (and cute little animals). As she grows, she struggles with her illness. She is protective of her brother, whose symptoms are a bit more severe than her own. She has a keen eye for maths, and a sharp tongue. Growing up, she will embrace a life style that puts focus on enjoying life each day, and pushing herself where possible.

History
childhood Yona was born in Belrea alongside her twin brother Zev, to Asa and Ygraine. Yona, like her brother, inherited their father's genetic condition that effects the lungs, although her presentation is less severe than Zev's (for now).
Despite being raised by a loving family, Yona keenly felt the difference between their lives and those of other children. She was rarely allowed out to play, and was constantly watched over by protective parents and family. It helped that her father knew something of her and Zev's feelings, but life still provided its own conflicts.
Her mother, Ygraine, smothered her, and had few expectations. In childhood, she desperately yearned to go to school, but her frequent colds and time away from class made attending difficult, and led to difficulty in making friends her age other than her twin brother. There's some built up resentment in her heart towards her parents, not for bringing her into the world but for seeming content to expect her to never achieve anything. She was never pressured to try, to study, to practice, to dance, to play instruments or do anything - always encouraged to do what she wanted. This lack of discipline was interpreted opposite how it was intended, and made her feel lesser than her older brothers.
