Prentice – Class Affinity Solo Summoner
The market crowd was bustling as usual, and DeeDee was practically buzzing with anticipation. She had a date tomorrow. A real one with a real person. A rather dashing person at that. She wanted to impress them, and the only way to do that was to buy a new outfit! Something cool and cute, but also a liiiittle bit sexy. Something that would catch her date’s attention and hold it any time there was a pause in the conversation. She hoped there wouldn’t be too many pauses though. Hopefully, the combo of outfit and conversation would be powerful enough to get a second outing!
She grinned as she picked up a necklace lined with a dozen tiny medallions that made a delightful jingling sound together. This would go great with those little hoop earrings. Ah, but this one had a large, white pendant hanging from the center. The marking on it looked almost like runes. Wouldn’t it be cool if it was actually magical?
DeeDee’s hand twitched as a sharp sensation stabbed through her palm. She nearly dropped the necklace, but the pain was brief and her priority was to NOT break an item she hadn’t purchased. ’What the heck?’ She looked around with confusion to see if something else had caused the pain, and then held the necklace out further from her body. Her gaze was suspicious and her nose wrinkled with doubt. Was this.. Actually magical? She squinted slightly as though that might help her to see…
All at once, the pale pendant was glowing with a silver aura. The aura shimmered slightly, and somehow seemed to have edges while simultaneously being an amorphous mist. When she focused, she could practically feel a pulse coming from within. There was no question. This thing was magic, and she was able to sense it!
DeeDee looked around, but no one else nearby seemed to even notice that she was having a moment with the strange pendant. It looked like a regular shop of regular accessories, so what was a magical necklace doing here? And why was she able to detect it?
