Diadem stiffled a curse, one of the particularly colorful ones she'd picked up from her grandfathers workshop when he'd hammered his thumb trying to build a bird house, and whirled to survey the damage.

The blood was dark, darker than you'd expect if you didn't know better, but thankfully, most of what she saw wasn't gushing... but still.

"That was... bad. No warning, No nothing..." She noted, with matriarchal rage, eyeing the boy bleeding from his stomach, and to a slightly lesser degree, the one bleeding from their shoulder as well. The glass had been like knives, and the smaller pieces alone could blind... she was afraid to even touch her hair, lest some glittering decoration prove to be finger ripping fragments of glass waiting to find a new home.

It wasn't really any of their fault, but she hoped it sunk in. That little difference between a shallow, painful cut on the stomach and your insides everywhere, or a permanent eye injury.

Acubens though she didn't know her name was talking about removing the glass, and she hoped the girl knew what she was doing, that it didn't turn out to be the only thing... stopping the tap... as it were.

She hoped that was just her imagination getting away with her, but it really drove home how dangerous this could be in their light costumes, and she picked absently at the sturdy corset around her own middle. It wasn't exactly armor, but she'd take it over nothing.

"Does it know we're here? The... mirror space?" There was an... alive quality to what it was doing, but she couldn't tell if these crashes and explosions were malice, (easy to ascribe to it) or something more like pure, mechanical indifference to their frailty. She didn't know if she wanted to know. It was described as -their- space and yet... the way she was beginning to feel, a flea might as well call a dog it's space. It wouldn't stop the dog from trying to chew it to death.

“Acubens seems to do better when she’s got her hands full,” Remarque replied; he’d been fortunate himself but it wasn’t hard to tell that some hadn’t been so lucky. “…Less chances for her to get herself in trouble.”

He didn’t have to look at her to suppose her mind was wandering somewhere; he reached back to steal her hand and give it a quick squeeze as he pushed forward.

“Mirrorspace doesn’t ever give you this much trouble, does it? I’ve seen some things, but I’ve never seen it like this before.” After a few more steps, he brushed down his uniform. Thoroughly convinced he’d suffered no damage, he craned his neck to double check that Lesath was fine.

She was pristine, in one piece and as beautiful as ever.

He couldn’t afford to stare at her for too long; he had no idea what else Mirrorspace might have in store. There were Dark Mirror Senshi everywhere, but he only saw faint scratches. If anyone had suffered anything severe, the sheer number of Senshi made it hard to see. But, no one was dying on the floor in front of him, so he assumed this hadn’t been too rough on anyone.

…He just wondered how much worse it was going to get, and if they’d still be able to say that at the end of it all.

Once the flying debris had landed, it seemed like it was safe enough to pass through the silver mirror frame. The wall behind it seemed to be unstable; there was a small crawl space and, while you can’t see exactly what is through the little passage, there is light on the other side. It seems like the pathway branches into three different, winding options and while it looks like they might all twist into the same room, it’s too dark to tell which is the better path.

Things seem stable for the moment—you just have to hope that there’s not a cave in on your way from this room to the next.

Quote:
The passageway is small enough that you’ll need to pass one by one, but it’s difficult to tell which path is the right path. Roll one ten-sided dice to determine how your Senshi progresses!

1-3: You chose the unluckiest of paths; small, broken shards make the crawl uncomfortable. They tear at your clothes, get caught in your hair, and are just plain painful to crawl over. Slow and steady might not win the race, but it’s your best option to stay safe.
4-7: This path is incredibly small and makes wriggling through it a little difficult, but it seems like the most dangerous things are just small chunks of rock that sting a little as you crawl over them.
8 or higher: You’ve hit a stroke of luck; though crawling is uncomfortable, you manage to choose the easiest path and reach the other side with ease.

Rank Bonus: Depending on what stage your character has reached, you may add the following bonus to your roll! This bonus will apply for every prompt!

Basic Senshi: 0
Super Senshi: +1
Eternal Senshi: +2
Royal Senshi: +3

Please keep a tally of your total points in bold red at the bottom of your post! If you miss any roll posted before this one, you can make it up, but any late roll will have two points deducted from the number. If you enter the ORP late you can roll for every prompt you miss provided you deduct two points from each roll. You cannot have a roll that is less than 1, so if you roll a 1 or 2, the lowest score you can get is 1.

Lesath gave a small snort. “Of course mirrorspace never gives me this much trouble, Remarque. I don’t let it. I don’t spend long nights here like you do.

And perhaps that was why she was only an eternal. Hm.

“Anyway, come on, prince boy. Lets go solve this mystery before we lose what little court we have left, okay? I’m starting to worry that some of those cute little newbies won’t last much longer.”

Nodding her head at the tunnel she wanted to go through, Lesath slid in first, crawling and giving a few huffs of discomfort. This was not fun, but what was she going to do?

“Hurry up, Rem. I don’t have all day.”

“I’m coming,” Remarque assured; he wasn’t going to be separated from her if he could avoid it. He waited until she had a few seconds to get started before he crawled in after her. Despite the extra mass of coat and wings, he found only slight discomfort, himself.

But it was easily forgotten when he realized just how short Raven’s skirt was. And how, in her wriggling, he had quite a pleasant sight. He considered saying something but decided instead to enjoy the sight of her while he still could. Before Mirrorspace tried some new trick on them.

He was quiet while they moved, but when he crawled out into the next room after her, he placed one hand on her backside to adjust where her skirt was still riding up.

He was not ashamed of it, but it was clear he was trying to repress a grin. “Those skirts don’t hide much, do they?” he asked coyly. He kept his hand on her rear for a few seconds longer as he skimmed the area, trying to assure that everyone was in one piece still.

Lesath had been right, of course—ideally they’d want to move through here as fast as they could to ensure that there weren’t any casualties. He was trying to stay close to the majority of the group in case something went wrong. Some seemed to be having an easier time than others, but they were still moving along.

He looked across the room at what they had to look forward to and tried to brace himself for the unexpected—and remember every detail he could about this place.

Crocus Winced a bit as Acubens attended to him. Her help was appreciated all the same, he didn't know if he could pull the shard that had been left there after the impact out on his own. Part of the reason he had quit pursuing a career as a doctor was because he didn't really care for seeing all the blood and gore that came with it. He wasn't exactly squeamish, but it did make him a tad uncomfortable. Forgive him for not wanting to see a lifetime of it. "Thanks Acubens..."

He focused his attention on Kiuchi then. Bends down on his knees to look it over. Acubens had already checked him over a bit and it did look like it didn't hit anything important, nor was it too deep. "Here, you can hold my hand while I take it out." Crocus was careful as he did so. And the female Senshi they had been talking to before (Sadalsuud) offered up her bow for a makeshift bandage. He tossed the piece of glass away and kept pressure on the wound as he took the bow from her. "It helps a lot, thanks." Her carefully wrapped it up and hoped it would stay in place for them, just long enough for the wound to close up on it's own.

Crocus stood up then and offered a hand to help Kiuchi stand. "Doesn't hurt too bad does it? I can carry you if it'd help." He was kidding of course, some might fault him for his use of humor in situation like these. But seriously, at the very least it helped him ignore the fact that his shoulder was still hurting. He wondered what else might be ahead of them now. "We could fall back a bit in the group. You know, just to stay a bit safer." He didn't want to see his friend hurt again, of course he didn't want others to be a shield for them either. But they stood a better chance at confronting something head on than they did.

With everyone seen to and patched up as best as possible in all cases, Acubens turned to the opening that the shattered mirror had left. Three choices, but they all seemed to lead to the same place. Was it worth it? Judging by the size of the hole, they would have to go on hands and knees. Could Crocus' shoulder take that? And what about those with cuts on hands and arms? Acubens turned to the others, her students and those that they knew. She turned her eyes to Lesath and Remarque. What would he do in this scenario? What would a leader do? Did she give them an out? Did she allow them to go home and seek shelter and medical attention? Or did she urge them to press on? Was there even a right answer? In the end she pulled her brood closer to her, Kiuchi, Crocus, and Chione.

"Stay close." She whispered. "Even if we don't take the same path. Come out on the other end and find me. We stand as a unit, remember."

It was her voice, but they were not her words. they had been planted there by someone else. Someone higher. But she was grateful for them.

"I know that you want to go home. I know that you want to quit. And I'm sorry, but we can't. Something is happening in our house and if someone is doing this, then we need to evict it. And we need all the bodies that we can get to do that. That means all of you."

And with that she departed, sneaking through a tunnel much too small for her, scraping her knees and the palms of her hands on rough rock.

Hekate had been waiting patiently with her back against one of her neighbors chimneys when Remarque arrived to shuttle her to Mirrorspace, a place she hadn’t been to in well over a year at this point. Sad to say but she hadn’t really made much in the way of friends with the other Dark Mirror Senshi otherwise she would not have bothered her Prince into being her magical subspace chauffeur.

He didn’t seem to mind but it didn’t mean the guilt wasn’t still here which is why, once they arrived, she kind of went off to do her own thing in the back of the crowd. An idle participant in the conversations, the senshi of Jinxes listened as everyone chatted amongst themselves. There were a few familiar faces but even if she recognized them there is no way she’d remember their names, save for Lesath.

Aside from the ominous crack in the common room that spanned from the floor to the ceiling, everything seemed hunky dory; that was until a loud startling sound rose above the chatter silencing most everyone for the briefest of moments as a chunk of wall crumbled to the floor.

Beyond the wall was a corridor filled with fog and one by one each senshi proceeded inside. Wary of this whole situation Hekate held back for a few moments, less than eager to walk under a wall that had just fallen in front of them. The way the fog fell from the walls felt more like the lead into a horror scene where you have no idea what you’re actually stepping; normal floor hopefully but when magic was involved could they be so lucky?

Eventually the group around her began to thin as they too followed their Prince further into the hallway where mirrors hung at varying heights.

Hekate exhaled a deep sigh, guess I have no choice but to follow especially since being left behind with no way to get out of Mirrorspace was not an option.

1-3: You stumble over a few stray rocks and you wind up with your foot jammed in a crack in the floor. You can get your foot out and you aren’t hurt, but you might take it slow for a few minutes.

A few steps in her wariness was given some amount of merit when her right foot slid to the side, wedging itself between two pieces of uneven ground. Unamused, she gave her foot a bit of a tug and with a slight amount of effort the sole came free but at a cost. Her own clumsy nature caused the Senshi of Jinxes to stumble forward only to get her other foot stuck too.

“Damn it.” she cursed under her breath. Why did this always seem to happen at such inopportune times?

1-3: Several large chunks of glass soar through the air and are headed straight towards you; you are hit by one with enough force to knock the breath from your lungs. You need a moment to recover.

Unseen to her, the mirror they had been progressing towards rippled in an eery way. The surface splintered and cracked before a loud shattered sound echoed through the white walled hallway. Being at the back of the crowd allotted her some form of protection at least as large shards of mirror burst out towards them as if a bomb had been set behind it.

Helpless where she was currently stuck Hekate did all she could do in her situation and brought her arms up to protect her face while she squeezed her eyes shut in anticipation. Around her she could hear others cry out; hissing sounds, surprised yelps and profanity colorful enough to make a sailor blush. Her own voice was soon added into the myriad of pained cries as a shard flew by and like a knife its edge cut deep into her arm in not one, but two places.

“Agh…” Hekate bit down on her lower lip; tears immediately pricked the corners of her eyes as her other arm quickly moved to apply pressure to the cut. Why… why does crap like this keep happening to me?

It took several minutes for the pain to dull enough and adrenaline to kick in before she was able to give her foot another good jerk and finally stand up. Despite the pressure she applied to her arm blood still seeped between the gaps of her fingers at a bit of a steady pace.

“Excuse me?” Hekate’s head snapped to the side confused and somewhat startled. “Here!” The blue haired Dark Mirror senshi held out a transparent, almost glass looking, star to her “I’m not quite sure how my magic works but you can try wishing for the pain to go away.”

The Senshi of Jinxes looked at the girl with golden eyes then down at the start she was holding. It felt a bit concerning that the girl didn’t know what her magic did but chose to accept the object anyway. “I wish the pain would stop.” She repeated as instructed yet after a few seconds passed nothing seemed to change. “I don’t think it’s going to work.” Hekate finally admitted much to the other basic senshi’s dismay. It was clear enough she wanted to help but it seemed her magic simply didn’t work that way.

“I’m sorry,” Merkeb frowned deeply but before she could take the star back both it, and the other one she was holding, disappeared completely. “It would have glowed blue if it worked.”

“It’s okay miss,” Hekate lied for the sake of the other girls feelings. The wound stung like a b***h b***h it wasn’t the other girls fault. “At least you tried.”

8 or higher: You’ve hit a stroke of luck; though crawling is uncomfortable, you manage to choose the easiest path and reach the other side with ease.

Soon enough the group began to mobilize again and one by one each senshi lowered themselves down onto their hands and knees only to disappear into a small crawl way.

Wary about going any further Hekate held back for a bit before following suit. It’d be best to let the others go first. At least it would allow her to listen to what was happening to the rest of the group as they funneled through before choosing which path to follow. One tunnel was loud and full of complaints, at least more so than the other two; lots of ‘ouches’ and hissing sounds that made it quite obvious that she shouldn’t go that way. Bad luck had already hit her from every angle, this time she needed to play it smart.

When only two or three others were left she finally lowered herself onto her hands and knees and crawled into the darkness. Unfortunately it hurt like hell to put weight on her arm but Hekate did what she could to pushed through until she reached the end.

4-7: This path is incredibly small and makes wriggling through it a little difficult, but it seems like the most dangerous things are just small chunks of rock that sting a little as you crawl over them.

Once the damage had been assessed the group pressed on and though she felt bad for being unable to help the other senshi she shouldered her way towards the front of the group to get a better idea of what was going on.

Where there was once a mirror now was a narrow tunnel only big enough to crawl though and only one at a time. Light from the corridor only reached a few feet in but quickly faded into a complete darkness. oh joy. she thought to herself as she waited for the first few brave souls to enter first. When no long scream echoed back into the hallway indicating that someone had stepped out into a endless pit Merkeb lowered herself onto her hands and knees and fell in line behind the girl in front of her.

It was an uncomfortable crawl with stones digging into her bare shins that stung a bit but was otherwise far less eventful than the tunnel beside hers that had people yelping and swearing up a storm.

The rendezvous time was set to happen in fifteen minutes and yet Merkeb still had no idea how to get to mirror space. Mirror walking was a great way to get from one place to another but despite stepping through the mirror the world in which she was supposed to meet the others in her faction still eluded her.

Slightly perturbed she looked down at the communicator and quickly realized that there were only two people she could think of to call; Sadalsuud and Remarque. Unfortunately the Senshi of Clovers was likely in the same predicament she was in as they were both only initiates or ‘basic’ senshi as was described. Which left Remarque.

He was a bit of an intimidating guy but that could kind of be expected from a prince. Months had passed since she had last saw him; granted it was when he had summoned the black mirror and she had become one of them, but there’s no way he would remember her. Would he?

Merkeb worried her lower lip before finally hanging her head in defeat and reaching out to the Dark Mirror Prince in order to let him know she was stuck and didn’t know how else to get to the meeting. He seemed patient enough as she fumbled her way through apologizes for bothering him until finally giving him where she was at; a ballet studio that was closed for the evening.

Within a few minutes Remarque showed up and together they stepped through the mirror covered wall into Mirror Space where several others had already begun to gather.

As the Senshi of Wishes scanned the faces of those who were present she quickly realized that there were more members of this group than she previously realized yet only one was a face she had recognized. But before she was able to make her way over to Sadalsuud the crack in the wall shuddered then cracked even further silencing most everyone like a speaker tapping on a microphone.

The now yawning gap in the wall revealed a corridor that had been previously sealed. Curious about what was on the other side she followed the group into the foggy hallway.

1-3: You stumble over a few stray rocks and you wind up with your foot jammed in a crack in the floor. You can get your foot out and you aren’t hurt, but you might take it slow for a few minutes.

Curiosity was a powerful thing and while Merkeb wasn’t the first to step through the crack, a bit worried that a few more pieces would fall, she was among the initial few to step through.

The dense white fog that poured from the walls made it impossible to see where they were stepping and it only took a few strides for the blue haired senshi to realize that the ground wasn’t as even as she had hoped. Grateful that she wasn’t wearing heels like several of the other female senshi, Merkeb’s foot slid on a slanted slab only to wedge itself in an unseen crack. As someone who has stubbed her toes more often than she’d like while dancing, the Senshi of Wishes was well accustomed to the dull throbbing sensation associated with the act of slamming her foot into an unforgiving immovable object.

“Lovely” she commented to herself after tugging her foot free of the crack. “Guess I’ll be shuffling my way through this place.” Too bad she didn’t have any magic that could help push the fog away so they could at least see where they were going.

4-7: A few smaller pieces of glass come flying at you; you were either spared damage because of your time consuming caution or you are hit are either hit by a few shards and need a few seconds to recover.

Feeling rather proud of herself that she had made it across the corridor without further incident a smile tugged the corners of merkens lips almost victoriously; one she would flash towards the crowd after completing a complicated routine on the ballroom dancefloor.

The feeling of success was short lived however when the surface of the mirror they had just approached began to ripple. “What the?” She began to say before ducking to the side and curling into a ball to make herself as small as possible.

Had she not of been taking her time as she shuffled her way down the hallway Merkeb would have surely missed the explosion and been showered in the tiny glass shards like several unfortunate comrades around her had been.

When all fell silent, save for a few murmurs, while everyone surveyed their injuries Merkeb noticed one towards the back of the room cowering as she had been but supporting a gash across her upper and lower arm. Concern for the girl prompted the bluenette to do something she hadn’t done in several months; try her magic again.

LIke in the field with Sadalsuud, Merkeb spoke the words that mauvian had instructed her to say and in her hands appeared the same two transparent stars. “Excuse me?” Hekate’s head snapped to the side confused and somewhat startled. “Here!” The blue haired Dark Mirror senshi held out a transparent, almost glass looking, star to her “I’m not quite sure how my magic works but you can try wishing for the pain to go away.”

The witch looking senshi glanced down at her then down at the star she was holding.“I wish the pain would stop.” She repeated as instructed yet after a few seconds passed nothing seemed to change. “I don’t think it’s going to work.” Hekate finally admitted much Merkeb’s dismay. Despite her desire to help she was not too surprised that it didn’t function as she expected the magic to.

“I’m sorry,” Merkeb frowned deeply but before she could take the star back both it, and the other one she was holding, disappeared completely. “It would have glowed blue if it worked.”

“It’s okay miss,” Hekate lied for the sake of the other girls feelings. “At least you tried.”

Although it started as a general meeting about the cracks, it didn't seem like the best time to socialize. The people that Mimi had been talking to was busy either with their own injuries or helping others. As much as she cared about everyone as a whole, she didn't have any medical training. Whatever they were here for, she would help everyone, even if she had to sacrifice herself...

Mimi pushed that idea to the back of her head. It would be a last resort, if anything.

The pieces of glass eventually fell to whatever they were walking on. She dusted the pieces off of her, being careful to not give herself more cuts than she already had. Mimi then went to investigate the ornate mirror, as others had. Using one of her fingers, she ran it down the design of the frame. How could something so lovely cause so much pain?

She stepped through the frame only to find a pathway that needed to be crawled through. It wasn't the most pleasing situation, but Mimi had been getting used to being on her hands and knees in her small garden. Slowly, she headed down the path. It had been easy enough to follow people initially, but then the paths split into three. Which to choose?

It didn't really matter to her. Mimi chose one and kept going. Sadly, it wasn't the easiest path. She had to shimmy her way through some parts and her hands seemed to hit rocks that felt more like sharp pieces of glass. When she made it to the end, Mimi yelled back into the path she came out of. "If it isn't too late, I wouldn't choose this path!"

Mimi doubted that would help anyone.

Noting Mimistrobell's kindness in asking if anyone else was hurt, he too looked around to check what damage had been done thanks to the flying shards of glass. He noticed that Acubens had attempted to shield Crocus and Kiuchi like a true mother hen - velociraptor? - watching out for her chicks and smiled. But that smile faded somewhat when he realized said chicks still managed to get hurt.

Approaching, Ptolemaeus tried to see how he could assist her in tending to them. "I'd be honored," he told Acubens in regards to her book. He ripped off pieces of his own fuku to try to clean her wounds as she was doing. When he raised a hand to dab at one of Sinope's cuts, though, he smirked as his hand was slapped away. "And just your average hybrid of Norse and Tolkien Elvish? What's average about that?" His grin threatened to split his face. "I mean obviously I have The Silmarillion memorized as well as anyone else," he joked, "but isn't that a bit much?"

When Sinope finally thought it safe, he slowly rose to try to brush any remaining glass shards off himself. Sadalsuud's inquiry caused him to flinch; it was far too full of concern for his comfort. He forced out a laugh and began to brush the glass shards off of her outfit. "With quick reflexes like these? Of course! Forget about me - are you alright?"

It wasn't that he actually cared about her well-being, he told himself. It was just a classic method of redirecting her attention away from him. Kindness, selflessness...why couldn't people all just be as selfish as human nature was meant to be? Everything would be so much simpler that way.

Was she trying to offer him something? Her...bow? "Huh? N-no, it's fine, you keep it," he told her, somewhat confused as to why she was trying to give him something. It wasn't as though he'd done anything, really. Fortunately, though, Acubens came around to distract her.

...Or maybe not so fortunately. The eternal was fussing over everyone, including himself. "I'm fine," he grumbled. "I don't know what you're talking about. Seems like you've got more than enough attitude to me."

And then Kiuchi was asking about them. Sinope threw his arms up in exasperation. "Dude, I saw you get winded by that glass shard! What are you doing asking us if we're okay? Check yourself first at least, won't ya?" These people and their excessive selflessness! They were going to get themselves killed if they continued to act this way. "You could be cut up or have an organ ruptured or something!"

Crocus showed concern for Kiuchi as well, but as soon as the redhead caught sight of the blonde's own injuries, he whirled on him next. "What the s**t, man! You too?! You're asking about him and you've got a freakin' mirror piece sticking out of your shoulder!" He moved to examine Crocus' wound.

"Guys, if you're so busy worrying about everyone else that you end up bleeding to death, what's the point?! Take care of yourselves before you try to help everyone else, please! It's common sense!" If only everyone acted as selfish as human nature at its core, no sentimentality or attachments involved, everything would have been simpler.

When Acubens came around to tend to Crocus, he sighed and stepped aside to give her access. He needed to calm down and stop letting this bother him so much. If they wanted to worry about each other and didn't mind attachments being weaknesses, that was their own business. Not Sinope, though. This were getting dangerous, now; both physically and mentally for him. He didn't want to worry for the others' sakes. And yet there he was, worrying against his will.

Acubens has said they stood as a unit, but Sinope wanted no part of that. He needed a break away from them. Leaving the others to rely on each other, he walked on ahead, choosing a path different from the rest. They all seemed to lead to the same place anyway, so it's not like he would be separated for long, but he needed to cool down. He knew he'd told Sadalsuud he would stick with her, but it wasn't as if he was leaving her alone since she was still in the company of the others and she seemed mostly unharmed so far. They'd meet up again soon. He just needed to be alone for a minute.

The path Sinope chose was too small for more than one person to go in at a time. Perfect. It was a little tricky through maneuver through and there were strange rocks that stung as he crawled over them, but it wasn't so bad. He made it through alright and refused to let himself look back to check on the others' progress. He'd find out soon enough when they came out their own paths.

"I can help," Ptolemaeus offered. "I might be a bit tall to lend a shoulder, but I don't mind carrying anyone." Running a hand through his hair, he murmured, "No one here has any healing magic, do they?"

Glancing Diadem's way at her spoke question, he shrugged. "It's a good possibility. I certainly wouldn't doubt it with what we've learned of it so far, but I guess it would be best to ask one of the more experienced senshi. I'm curious, too." He wondered if there was anything about that in Acubens' book.

"Hmm..." Selecting a passage, Ptolemy quickly decided that it was better not to have tried to carry someone through it. He tried to proceed quickly, but he was in such a rush that he didn't notice the broken shards littering the place until they caught, cut, and tore at his hair, clothes, and skin. Ouch. Maybe it was better to slow down after all.

Sadalsuud nodded at Sinope's question "Ah no I'm fine" she admitted "Thanks to you."

He hadn't seemed to need her bow and so she had offered it out to the blond senshi with Kiuchi instead, glad that she could be of help no matter how minor.

Turning back towards the frame and with the glass no longer pelting them Sadalsuud realised that the mirror appeared to have been covering some sort of area...

Well more crawl space than area and one that appeared to lead into a passage of some sort.

It wasn't easy to see what was beyond but there appeared to be a glimmer of what appeared to be light.

Well make it what might be light.

Of the crawl space itself it didn't look like it was the biggest, although Sadalsuud didn't think that that in itself would be a problem on her part - because she wasn't the biggest either - after all 4 foot 11 wasn't what you could call tall.

The curly-haired senshi (
Acubens) was speaking to Kiuchi, the blond-haired senshi (Crocus) and a dark-haired senshi with blue streaks and a pretty frost-patterned overlay (Chione) about continuing forward and separate paths–

And some of the others were pressing forward too, reminding Sadalsuud that she didn't want to turn back - not if there was something she could do to help - even if she wasn't sure what help she could offer.

She hadn't been able to catch up with Sinope as he slipped beyond the frame towards the crawl space, but the paths - because it seemed that there was more than one path - all seemed to be going in the same direction.

The path that she picked wasn't the most comfortable, but Sadalsuud was able to get through without tooo much trouble.

Having taken hold of Crucos' hand he let the other remove the glass shard from his midsection. Sucking in a breath as he tried to remain calm...tired to fight off the pain and whatever fear and nerves he was dealing with. Kiuchi's hand squeezed down on the blonds, his dark eyes focused on the others face rather than what was being done. The chinese youth was fairly certain he couldn't look down, couldn't handle it. He didn't know how much damage it had done to him and he didn't know how much he'd bleed - would he have to go home? It didn't seem like it, though he did bleed more, it was wrapped with the ribbon which the senshi of clover's had provided.

"Thank you." From Crocus to Sadalsuud he looked, letting them know the words were directed to them both. They had both helped him and he was grateful for it.

"I think I can continue on." He whispered while standing slowly, gingerly. He didn't want to become a burden for the group or some sort of extra baggage but he wasn't about to go home either. This was, as Acubens stated, his family - his chosen family. He wasn't leaving.

"I don't think I need to be carried...but I should be good..." He'd see a doctor once this was over, if he needed to, he hoped he didn't wind up needing stitches or anything more than just to rebandage this when he got to Acubens'. There was no way he could go to Caleb's like this, injured, as he knew there would be questions and worry and he couldn't lie.

"Mmm, I don't think Acubens will let us fall back." Kiuchi whispered as he moved to catch up to her, reaching out to take Crocus' hand so they could catch up.

"Don't want to quit...maybe go home and sleep though. But I won't quit." he spoke up as Acubens mentioned how she knew some of them wanted to quit and go home and such. He honestly didn't want to quit but he did want to sleep, but when didn't he? He had gotten better at being up and awake for longer and doing things, like working, but he still wouldn't ever turn down the idea of sleeping. That was just a thing for him.

When it came time to head into the mirror he did just that and knowing that it was ok to pick a different path, that in the end they'd all come back together, he picked his path and while it wasn't pleasant due to how small the confines were and the pressure it put on his already abused body he managed it. Kiuchi managed to wiggle and crawl his way through with little problems other than some gravel or rocks? He wasn't sure but it wasn't as bad as he thought it might be, given the exploding mirror incident.

Diadem

OK so... forward progress. No one seemed to actually be bleeding to death, no matter how close they might have come, and no one seemed inclined to turn back yet (She wasn't sure what would happen if they did...)

So she bit her lip, and made for the narrow hole, feeling like the situation called for some 'eat me' biscuits and a small 'drink me' bottle.

"Ok but we don't know that it's not the house itself..." She added quietly, though Acubens hadn't been addressing her. Well, she personally didn't know that, and she didn't feel or hear anything to indicate that there was something specific and concrete and alien to this place. Perhaps she was just not sensitive enough? Ugh. She kind of wished she'd had more chances to be here, to ask questions, but she'd been busy...

Small things scraped at her knees through her pants, not enough to make her bleed but enough to sting, and make her certain she'd be grateful to stand up again, and rub her palms until the red indents of rough surfaces faded again.

"Ow. This is... not exactly a warm welcome. You know they did studies on frogs of their ability to ignore things and I'm just... I'm just going to note that this is probably not the most brilliant thing any of us have ever done to find out if there's cheese at the end of the maze."

She guessed she was mostly talking to herself at this point, the tunnel didn't exactly make conversation easy, but it made her feel better.

"Mirrorspace is strange like that." Laverna mumbled out, eyeing around the room as the flying shards seemed to finally come to a rest. She scanned the crowd once more, shaking her head at some before relaxing a bit. She truly was not at all impressed by the one attempting to take a lead. Acubens, as she had heard the name, was clearly determined to get those she had deemed under her care killed...

Walking with Diadem towards the mirror, both women gazed at the path and each took a different one. Luck of the draw really.

This time, Laverna's flexibility and training had zero impact. There was no better way to put it...she ******** up.

"Ow...stupid...ow..." Laverna mumbled as she felt shards rip at her exposed skin. One above caught her hood and pulled her backwards. "Okay, LET GO!" She snapped, ripping forward in frustration. She could feel the fabric of the hood tear as she did but screw it. The pain over her arms and hands had to stop.

It was not until she climbed out that Laverna was able to get a full look at her form. Blood ran down her arms and the palms of her hands. Her hair was yanked in different directions and her hood falling on her back. There was even a cut just below her right eye.

While her skirt was torn, she was suddenly very grateful for the knee high boots that protected her knees and lower legs.

"I'm going to need some bandages after this..." the senshi of Thieves sighed as she turned around and flipped off the tunnel she had just climbed through.

Bloody and dirty, Laverna walked towards the sparkly senshi she had quickly taken a liking to. "So how did you get to be the lucky one?" She smirked through her mask, turning to watch the other ones come through, making sure Remquarde was still with them. If anything happened, she wanted him there...he was the only other of their court she would trust her life with. Crazy lady over there with her brood....she wanted a fence between.
