Though Elsa seemed as though he had vanished in the throng of everyone else, and Acubens fawning over the two that she kept calling hers, Chione decided that she was fine on her own. She had pretty much started this crazy ride alone, and by god she was going to finish it alone too. “Don’t worry about me, okay? I’m fine. This is just some fancy army crawling right? No big deal at all.”
She flopped down and began shimmying herself through one of the tunnels, wincing just slightly as some of the rocks became friendly with her legs and arms. Nothing that hurt too badly, but more than enough to be annoying.
When Chione finally exited out the other side, she rubbed her arms and legs to dislodge the small pebbles and drew in a breath.
Eyeing the tunnels, Kibirev turned to Lovejoy and made a face. A face of resolved…something. “I’m going for it. You just come behind me okay? I’ll protect you this time. It’s my duty as…as well, me. So…come on, Lovejoy. We’ll make it through this together, okay?” She gave what she hoped looked like a confident and self assured grin, though it ended up making her look rather like a monkey.
Without another word, she tore off through the tunnel that Lesath and the blonde guy had chosen. Clearly Lesath didn’t want them to get killed…and she seemed to be doing pretty well for herself…so clearly perhaps they were all meant to follow her.
Tantalus was certain that he was prepared for whatever Mirrorspace might throw at him. He visited it often enough, and it had always been a place of safety. There was no way 8' his experience, he could be in any danger.
He was wrong.
He'd thought to dodge the shattering mirror, but he wasn't quick enough, an a shard struck him across the side. It wasn't terribly bad, but he still felt blood against his palm.
"Damn it," he said under his breath.
But there was a corridor, and he stormed forward bitterly, glad that this time the right corridor was no more than just uncomfortable. He hoped it would continue that way, because one injury from a place he considered safe was exactly enough.
It was, Elsa supposed, just his luck that he would get slammed hard by one of the shards. He stumbled, and swore breathlessly, clutching his stomach and standing still for a moment as he waited for his breath to come back. As soon as he did that, though, he started looking for his sister -- but he couldn't quite make her out in the crowd. He frowned.
He'd have to make sure she was okay later.
He pushed on through the tight space left behind the shattered mirror, wincing the entire way as shards cut into his skin and tangled into his hair and tore his uniform. It sucked. None of this little misadventure was exactly endearing Mirrorspace to him, either - because even if his first introduction to it had been as a place of safety, that...wasn't much holding up.
The white haired teenager slowly nodded her head in agreement, some of the worry paining her face disappearing at the comforting words of her best friend. They had no clue what they were getting into when Mrs. Lesath had brought them through the mirror, but Lovejoy knew that if there was any way they were gonna make it out in one piece, it was gonna be together.
Well... at least she thought that, up until they started crawling through a terrifying path that looked appropriate for one of those horror flicks where the spelunkers get caught in the middle of a cave and all the scary cave inhabitants come and eat their faces off....
No.
No she wasn't gonna think about that, not right now.
Small chunks of rock continued to sting against her palms and knees as she shimmied her way through the path, wincing and grunting as she did so.
"You don't think anything is gonna come out and eat us, do you?" She asked quietly, her confidence once again wavering slightly. She wanted to at least know what they were up against... not that she really knew how to combat creepy cave monsters in the first place!

Crocus was just happy Kiuchi didn't seem too injured, nor was he ready to go home after what all just happened. Crocus was nothing if he wasn't persistent. Sure, he'd probably need to get his cut checked out as well, he'd after to avoid the hospital his father worked at unless he wanted to make up a really good story for what had happened. Maybe he would just take care of it himself, if it didn't looked infected or anything after this.
"Quit? No way. I'm still more than ready to move on. Though, I'll admit that a drink after all this is over would be nice." He looked at the tunnels that had appeared from the mirror that had shattered. They would have to crawl through, he knew that would suck with his weak shoulder, but it would have to be done. He choose the same one that he'd seen Remarque go through and followed along. Aside from being fairly tight, it wasn't too bad. HIs shoulder was throbbing a bit more than it had been before, but that was all.
It seemed like the obstacles in their way kept coming forward more and more...
Still, he continued forth, for even even though he was weak and in pain and feeling more useless than he could possible imagine, Avior did not wish to give up. Not when others continued on. He would persevere along side them.

The new room was immediately recognizable as something different. Most of the hallways and rooms in Mirrorspace all seemed to have a general height in common; the ceiling seemed to be in the same place—or, at least, close enough.
This was different.
The ceiling was so high up that it wasn’t even visible; it was concealed by a thick wall of pale fog. It seemed like they were at the base of a steep cliff almost; three walls were barren but one wall had strange debris sticking out of it—shards large enough to stand on and what looked to be the frames of broken mirrors protruding like footholds. While the scene seemed odd and accidental, the strange protrusions seemed incredibly sturdy—and from the looks of things, it seemed like it was possible to scale it.
Which, in this instance, seemed like it might be a good idea; the strange feeling of something being nearby is now permeating the air. It’s still not clear just what is going on—but it’s not too much further away.
Quote:
A steep wall stands between you and whatever it is you’re looking for, and the only way to move on is to scale this wall. Roll one ten-sided dice to determine how your Senshi progresses!
1-3: The platforms you’re climbing on aren’t as reliable as they first looked; you find yourself slipping off of the platforms or fighting with them as they crumble beneath your touch. It takes a lot of effort to find the right path. You manage to make it halfway up, but it’s a struggle. 4-7: You make the mistake of taking the long way up. You might not have had to deal with platforms breaking underneath your weight, but you’re feeling the effects of the long path to get to where you are. You manage to make it halfway up, but you’re muscles are feeling a bit of a burn. 8 or higher: You manage to find the shortest, sturdiest path and make it halfway up the wall without any difficulties.
Rank Bonus: Depending on what stage your character has reached, you may add the following bonus to your roll! This bonus will apply for every prompt!
Basic Senshi: 0 Super Senshi: +1 Eternal Senshi: +2 Royal Senshi: +3
Please keep a tally of your total points in bold red at the bottom of your post! If you miss any roll posted before this one, you can make it up, but any late roll will have two points deducted from the number. If you enter the ORP late you can roll for every prompt you miss provided you deduct two points from each roll. You cannot have a roll that is less than 1, so if you roll a 1 or 2, the lowest score you can get is 1.
While waiting for the others to emerge from their respective paths, Sinope examined the wall with the platforms sticking out of it and frowned at them. It was absurd how suspicious the whole setup was, but if Mirrorspace was playing with them, as Dark Mirror Senshi, it seemed that they had no choice but to play along.
"I'll go first," he told Sadalsuud when she came out into the new room. "But I won't go too far ahead. Just let me know if something happens."
That said, he began to climb, taking his time and choosing the sturdiest footholds and handholds he could. This time he made sure to watch the others' progress so as to stay close if he was needed. Or if he needed them. He didn't generally like accepting help, but if it was a matter of life and death, he didn't mind being in someone else's debt. At least he would live to be able to repay it.
Ptolemaeus stared at the fog that blocked the view of the ceiling and the mysterious-looking mirror shards set into the wall as platforms. It was starting to remind him of that time when a group of their court had come across that strange tavern inn thing in Mirrorspace after climbing up a great deal of stairs. He wondered if something similar would be at the top of this ascension.
He hung back, watching and waiting for Acubens and her 'brood', wondering if he could do anything to assist them. No doubt the climb would be more difficult for some than others thanks to their new injuries. He was cut up a bit himself, but not deeply wounded as they were.
Acubens looked up at the wall and then back to the three that were under her care. Kiuchi's midsection wasn't hemorrhaging blood, but he would need a doctor when this was all said and done. As Crocus emerged, his arm seemed to be weaker than it had been before. Thank god for Chione who seemed to be the least wounded of them all. Working quickly and quietly, Acubens checked and tightened the makeshift bandages around the wounds and even packed them a little with material from her own fuku.
"Now's the time to turn back," she said with a small smile. "No one will judge you if you turn around now. I know that I said we work as a unit but... Kiuchi we don't know how madly you're hurt and Crocus with your arm out of commission... Chione, you may not be very hurt but... we don't know how much worse or better this is going to get. Later might be too late... I'll take you out of here myself if I have to. I'm sorry I pushed you guys like this, I... I had no right." Her voice had dropped as she spoke, averting her eyes to the wall that they were meant to climb. Remarque wouldn't have pushed them. He wouldn't have pushed her. And yet here she was, having forced them to perform even injured. She hadn't changed. She was still a s**t leader.
"Crocus... Kiuchi... either go home or let me carry one of you up the wall... Chione, can you make it on your own?"
Chione looked at Acubens and sighed. Well, at least she seemed to remember that she was here, at any rate. “No, don’t worry, I’m doing just fine. Haven’t managed to get myself hurt at all in this crazy place as of yet…and I value myself enough that I do plan on keeping it that way. Seriously, Acubens. I’m more than okay.” The senshi placed a hand on her friends shoulder for a moment before shrugging and pulling it away.
She hesitated, wondering if that had been insensitive, but…perhaps Acubens wouldn’t have even heard her. Those other two guys were taking up so much time and effort…and perhaps that was best. The senshi scrambled up the wall as nimbly as she could, leaving the others behind her with a sigh of near relief.
Sadalsuud had managed to catch up toSinopeon the other side of the path, although she had managed to lose track ofKiuchiand those with him in the process.
Green eyes peered a little wide eyed at the new area in which she found herself in as she stepped over towards him because this new room seemed to be one huge cliff face - was so big in fact that Sadalsuud couldn't actually see a ceiling - just pale fog...
And whilst, granted, Sadalsuud hadn't really spent much time in mirror space - cliffs with fog shrouded tops didn't strike her as something that was exactly normal–
Although perhaps that was something that went with talking cats like Miss Kitten and magic because neither of the two were exactly 'normal' either - even if Miss Kitten was adorably cute.
She nodded at Sinope's comment about going first, relieved to have caught up with him before taking a closer look at the 'cliff' and noticing the shards and what appeared to resemble broken mirror frames protruding from one of the walls for the first time.
It looked like a path of 'platforms' of some sorts.
It looked unstable...
But whilst Sadalsuud was hesitating Sinope was already heading off towards the 'platforms' to make the climb and whilst she was nervous she wasn't about to let him go up on his own.
She could do this.
She could do this.
She would do this.
Thankfully the path up, whilst nerve-wracking - seemed to be sturdy enough, allowing Sadalsuud to follow Sinope up to what looked to be a halfway point of some sort without too much trouble and whilst she had lost track of Kiuchi and the others with him hopefully he and the others with the curly-haired senshi (Acubens) would be able to make it up equally all right.

Standing there with the others he wasn't upset when Acubens went about inspecting him again. he knew she would be worried, he was worried about himself as well. He was also worried for Crocus who had taken a hit to the shoulder, that worry only growing as he looked over what they faced now. They were going to have to climb...
"I know I'm hurt....but I'm not turning away. I want to be here- my own choice. You, Crocus, Remarque, and Sadalsuud are family...everyone here is." Whether he knew them or not, he at least hoped he could consider them all family to himself. He hoped he wasn't thinking too much into it and being too presumptuous in calling them all family - he didn't want to upset anyone after all.
Looking over the shards sticking out, acting as steps of some sort, and the mirror frames that could serve as hand holds he tilted his head a bit, glanced over it all. Even raised one hand with a finger pointing things out to himself as he thought it over. Broken away from his thoughts he turned to Acubens and shook his head. "Take Crocus...his shoulder is injured - it'll be harder." he was hurt as well, it wouldn't be easy on himself, but a hurt arm that might not support the weight was worse right now. It could put the other at risk of falling.
Managing a smile he moved to embrace Crocus. "Let Acubens carry you. I'll be fine." Already assuming the other might fight him on this or worry and try and tell Acubens to take him instead. While hugging the other Kiuchi glanced to Acubens. "I'm not at as much of a risk of an arm giving out as Crocus is - it makes sense to take him. Be safe - for both your sakes." Letting Crocus go he moved to hug Acubens once, to assure her in some small, silent, way that he'd be ok. That done the senshi of gorgon's headed towards one of the shards and started the climb he'd already been mapping out in his head. A nice short path that wasn't too bad.
It hurt, stretched him some, and left him in pain and panting when he got to the halfway point but he was up there and safely so. he hadn't fallen and hadn't bled to death - he was doing well.

"Oh no you don't," Ptolemy said, raising a hand to put on Acubens' shoulder. "You're not allowed to blame yourself. You're only doing what you think is best for everyone. The only thing you don't have a right to do is take on all the fault and responsibility on yourself."
He was about to offer to assist Kiuchi since the Senshi of Gorgons had suggested Crocus go with Acubens, but the injured sailor scout was already making his way up. Shrugging, Ptolemy supposed no one else needed assistance, though if they did, he wouldn't have minded coming back down. It wasn't a race to him and he preferred to take his time, especially when there were others to keep an eye on.
