When the first piece of debris from above struck Elsa's shoulder, he yelped, and almost lost his grip on the wall. It was pure luck that he managed to hold on and keep pushing up, but he had apparently chosen a path that put him under a veritable rain of crap - and after everything else, it was exhausting him.
He kept pushing upwards, slowly, because down was too far and not an option - if he fell, he was half-certain he wouldn't get up again.
He hauled himself over the top of the wall and knelt there for a moment to catch his breath, and then stared out at the chasm in front of him and narrowed his eyes.
"You have to be ******** kidding me," he said, pushing himself to his feet and tromping forward.
It all looked horrifically unstable, and so his first choice was to go as fast as he could, and that was how he started out, until the ground nearly fell out from under him and he had to desperately scrabble onto a platform.
After that, he was slower, more careful, and when he stumbled onto the other side, he very seriously considered just laying ont he ground for a little while.
That seemed like a good way to get stepped on, though, so instead he looked for his sister.
"Chione? You here?"
He had to make sure she'd come out of it okay. Ideally, better than him, but he'd take whatever he could get as long as his sister was in one piece.
"Spa day..." Diadem straightened herself out, adjusting hems and dusting off bits of rubble and glass as best she could, shoulders straightened, chin lifted,, she put on an air of poise and nobility like armor, her candy red eyes drifting pointedly and slowly over those who had been speaking ill of Laverna and herself, or at least, those who she guessed had been. Proximity had been easier to guess than specifics if only because of the falling mess and the need to concentrate, but her message was clear 'this is how much your opinions matter'
"Spa day sounds wonderful" She declared, and marched forward with calculated, but unhesitating precision, making her way across the divide as though it were a set of stepping stones she had been crossing for ages, unhampered by her heels.
There was a definite urge to look back over her shoulder and smirk, but instead she forced herself to look as neutral as possible, turning back enough to make sure Laverna also made it across in one piece.
Remarque had told Laverna to watch Diadem's back, but it didn't mean Diadem couldn't do her best to lend a hand.
As Crocus stood on his feet and looked toward Acubens for some reassurance. It wasn't that he was frightened, just more concerned and bewildered. He hadn't known what to expect out of this trip, but it had certainly gone above and beyond whatever he thought could have happened. Seeing Kiuchi as worried as he was did give him some concern. He patted the younger male on his head. "The obstacles are almost over. We can hang out at my place when this is all done."
He watched Acubens make her way toward the mirror first, Crocus loved the outdoors, but that didn't mean he was all that active. He liked relaxing outside, the most tedious thing he ever did back in the day was sailing. Jumping from one potentially unstable platform to the next was far outside his comfort zone, but he had to remind himself that he was stronger when he was powered, that he could do this.
He didn't do as poorly as he expected, landing without falling forward or fumbling all that bad. At least this didn't harm his shoulder anymore, he was a little worried about what this would do to Kiuchi's wound. He tried to keept a balance between his distance toward Acubens and Kiuchi, in case the other needed any help to cross.

8 or higher: You find the safest, shortest path and are able to pass with minimal issues.
At the top, safe from the falling debris, Hekate fell to her knees. Her lungs burned in an unforgiving way. “You’re kidd- kidding me.” She spoke between heavy breaths.
That thing they had been chasing, the object that had been calling out to them was still further up ahead. Too dangerous to go back there was only one way left for them to go and to be honest, it looked just as dangerous.
Minutes passed before her breath finally evened out and heart stopped racing enough so Hekate could actually think straight. “Just don’t look down…” she said to herself “Just don’t look down…” She repeated the mantra.
Not the first to take the leap of faith across the crevice, but definitely not the last, the Senshi of Jinxes picked her path carefully jumping from one platform to the next until she, like many others, stood beside the mirror.

1-3: You’re a mess; you slip multiple times or the platform crumbles beneath you. Thankfully, you’re able to save yourself before it’s too late, but you’re going to need to practice your agility. You wind up taking a bit of a long time to get to the new room.
Merkeb stood at the top of the cliff amongst the others in their group. Some, like the witch looking senshi she had tried to help earlier, were leaned over gasping for air with others looked ahead toward another mirror on the other side of the almost canyon like crevice that spanned the distance between them and the only path they could go as going back was most definitely not an option.
Unlike before, where she was able to test each step before moving on, these next few jumps were more like leaps of faith where all she could do was hope and pray that she made it. Being powered up meant she could span further distances but this… seemed a bit much.
Doubt was a powerful thing and while she looked down into the darkness Merkeb couldn’t help but lick her dry lips and wipe her hands off on her skirt. Heights rarely bothered her before; but falls, especially from this distance, was a completely different story. By the time she finally found the courage to finally go, several others had already began leaping across which gave her some idea which to try jumping towards and while that seemed like a good idea in theory the repeated jarring weight of those before her caused several of the crystals to crumble beneath her.
Twice she let out a startled scream but was thankfully able to grab a hold of another protruding crystal directly beneath her.
By the time the Senshi of Wishes made it to the other side her legs were shaking so bad that she fell to her knees. Never again… she promised herself. Never again
Glancing around she was thankful to see that everyone had made it safely, well some more safe than others, and was happy to note that Sadalsuud had made it too. Unfortunately her voice was somewhat shot from screaming which made it temporarily impossible to call out to her friend. Instead she just sat there and waited for her nerves to calm down before attempting to stand again.
It had been a rough adventure, but it had been an adventure none-the-less.
They'd almost died. It'd been really scary. And kind of cool - but mostly scary.
In front of her lay a gaping chasm and she could feel the exhaustion in her legs setting in. She had half a mind to look to Kib and tell her that all bets were off, that it was time to wake up from whatever nightmare they'd found themselves in and go about their day like normal but if only that were the case!
Taking a deep breath, she took a step back and then forward, watching her boots as she took her time attempting to cross. There were a few moments where she lost her breath and footing - but thankfully, she remained intact.
What should have been easy for Laverna was turning to be more of a slip and fall. Lord she prayed this was almost over because she felt muscles burn in places they shouldn't...not to mention she had practice tomorrow.
This was going to suck!
"When we get out of here..." Laverna mumbled, landing and stumbling forward as the ground threatened to shift under her feet once more. "Give me your number and we will make it happen...."
Her eyes shot over to some as if to include "in peace."
As worried as he was, and fearful, Acubens was calming. Seeing their prince helped as well - he was royal and had power and knowledge. Not to mention Remarque had helped him already...he'd keep him safe - keep them all safe. The fact this was all unknown to everyone was worrisome - how could it not be? But Acubens was right; they'd face it together. All of this was something they were all involved in and would all have to face together, whether they liked it or not. That was actually comforting, it meant he wasn't alone in this. He was also sure that he wasn't alone in his worry and fear for whatever was happening, and what it could mean, as shown with Crocus' question about the common room. That was true though...was that being affected also?
The idea wasn't one he wished to think on, already having enough going on in his mind, but it was a thought regardless and one he couldn't get rid of now that it was there. Watching Acubens examine Crocus he shook his head but was smiling as she spoke. "Ok...hospital or urgent care after this...." Whenever this would end, if it ended well. He had to hope it would, that they'd make it out in one piece, because to think otherwise was...it wasn't something he could think about!
While Acubens pulled away from him, smoothing out his uniform like some nervous mother, his dark eyes find Remarque. "This has to end - right?" He whispered, more to himself than anyone else, he didn't mean to be heard as he didn't wish to distract anyone. The walls shook still and while it seemed safe here he knew not to trust it - never. So far this little adventure was proving that to him. More debris fell down to the ground below and he sighed. This wasn't good, he didn't like this, but he wouldn't undo this if he had the ability to do so. He had to be here.
As people started getting up and heading towards what was calling to them, another mirror, he wasn't surprised to see some other challenge spread out before them. This one though had him worried. What was down there...what if he fell? Both valid worries as he was already injured. Looking to Crocus he shook his head. "I think Acubens is going to be having us checked out before anything else." And as much as he and Crocus might try and persuade her otherwise he doubted the curly haired eternal would back down from having them examined and squared away.
Taking a deep breath, to calm himself, he stepped forward and he headed out across the path. It wasn't steady and he was not an active person, he was the total opposite in fact, and when the ground gave from under him he yelped and made sure to move quickly. His slippered feet slipped once, almost sending him toppling down to whatever was below but he managed to catch his balance. He could feel his heart beating fast as hair left him in quick pants. He was trying to be slow, to make sure he didn't upset the ground under him, but he needed to get across as well and he didn't want to risk spending too much time in any one place.
He didn't get to the other side as quickly as some but he made it!
Plopping right down onto the ground he stared at everyone from his place on the ground, a hand on his mid section, he didn't sit hunched over but rather leaning back so he didn't put too much pressure down onto his abused mid section. He didn't lean back far enough to stretch out too much, and add to the pain he was already feeling. It hurt but this was what needed to be done...even if he wanted to just take some painkillers and sleep
Finally though his dark eyes went back to Remarque. "This is it - right? Just through that mirror?" But wouldn't it take them someplace outside of mirrorspace?
He tried. Every god in existance knew Avior tried his best to keep up, to not be a burden, to join the Dark Mirror Prince and his companions up near the shimmering silver mirror. And joy of joys he had made it.
And he was tired, so tired, but full of excitement as they all seemed to have made it safely, more or less. Now all there was left to do is wait.
They’d made it. Once they’d passed over the gaping hole, they managed to reach solid ground—and one final, strange frame. Passing through it didn’t feel any differently than passing through an ordinary door frame, but the room wasn’t as important as what was inside of it.
A line of strange, glistening crystals were scattered haphazardly, as if they’d been dropped and forgotten. They were somewhat small and glistening and could easily fit in the palm of someone's hand.
They seemed to call to the Senshi as they entered.
As the Senshi filed into the room, the crystals called strongest to Lesath, Remarque, Acubens, Sinope, Tantalus, Ptolemaeus, Crocus, Sadalsuud, Avior and Chione.
Though there were still many unanswered questions, one thing was clear: these crystals were theirs for the taking.
Quote:
Congratulations, winners! The top ten dice rolls can claim one of the following crystals for their characters:
A red crystal: This crystal is somewhat warm to the touch and seems to have a gradient to orange and yellow when tilted at the right angles.
A pale blue crystal: This crystal is cool to the touch and always feels like it is coated in a thin layer of condensation.
A white crystal: This crystal seems to be weightless and defies the law of gravity. It will remain wherever it is placed, be it on the ground or in the air. Even a small breath can move it.
A green crystal This crystal has a texture like bark and the faint smells of fresh cut grass.
A grey crystal: This crystal has no luster and a rocky texture. It is unnaturally heavy.
A yellow crystal: This crystal has jagged edges and occasionally seems to emit static energy-like sparks.
These crystals will initially appear relatively useless for the time being. They can be dismissed to subspace before powering down or can be kept while still in civilian form, however no one should lose their crystal or hand it to anyone else who is not a Dark Mirror Senshi. Experimenting on them will yield not extra information nor does it seem like they have any real purpose that can affect daily life. For the time being, these seem like they are mementos only. These cannot be gifted and should not be swapped for a different crystal, so please choose wisely!
Anyone who did not win a crystal shouldn’t despair! Please see the link below on how you can you’re your own crystal! This roleplay will count as a battle to anyone who participated in at least three rolls and wrote 500 words. Two points were deducted for each prompt that had absolutely no response and applied towards the final total; the top ten winners had the highest score after the deductions were made. If you feel like we made a mistake, please let us know and we’ll be happy to look into it!
Once the crystals were picked up, there didn’t seem to be anything interesting left to explore; the corridor behind them seemed to have disappeared behind a wall that formed while they were examining the crystals. The only way out of the room appeared to be a single large mirror that stood in front of them. Mirrorspace was quiet now, but the room felt cold and if anyone stayed still for too long the might have the faint, unnerving sensation of being watched.
It was probably time to head home and recuperate—and try and figure out what those crystals were, and where they came from.
They had made it. Allt hree of them had made it across. Crocus hadn't had any difficulty, but when Acubens watched Kiuchi and Chione, her heart climbed into her throat. Would they fall, we're they going to survive this? Should she go out and grab them, fling them over her shoulder and carry them across? gods, she couldn't bear to loose one of them -- what if they fell? She could feel herself inching towards the edge of the platform she hand landed on, easily ignoring the call from beyond the frame as her family struggled across the platforms. Stay alive. Stay alive. The mantra sung itself hoarse in her heart, climbed up her throat and used her voice to give them life. She repeated the words like a prayer. She had never seen mirrorspace like this, and she half expected some monster to raise from the bottom of this chasm and swallow any number of senshi whole. Chione landed on steady ground. Acubens yelped and shot towards her as though she had been fired out of a canon.
"Oh thank god," was all she could grind out through the fear paralyzing her tongue.
And then suddenly her mouth was on Chione's, her hands tangling in her beautiful hair. It felt like freedom, like giving voice to a secret that she hadn't even known that she had been keeping. And if Chione didn't feel the same way, then she would no doubt register that displeasure with her, but right now god damn they had almost died but by the grace off all the gods that ever had been and ever will be they had survived. And since, at this moment, survival might be ripped from them at any given moment, Acubens didn't want to waste a single second denying what she hadn't wanted to recognize before this moment.
Her lips are soft... must be some fancy lip care product...
With chagrin she released Chione from her kiss and raked her hands through her hair, down her face and over her arms, trying to brush away the injuries that mirrorspace and put on her. Well, at least now she might have some battle scars to call her own. They could compare sometime later, when the panic trickled away from their veins.
"Why did you call for my help, I would have given it..."
Kiuchi landed behind her and she glanced back at it but couldn't bring herself to let Chione go. Not just this second. She wanted to stay right here for as long as Chione would let her, breathing in the scent of her skin and perfume.
And then something beyond the frame screamed at her, ripping her nerves apart and yanking her attention. She glanced over her shoulder and sighed, pressing her lips together as they tingled from the kiss that she had not planned to share with Chione but could not deny was glad that she did. Just through there...
She laced her fingers with Chione's and gestured to Kiuchi and Crocus.
"I'll go first. You follow only when you know it's safe," she instructed, pausing only to squeeze Chione's hand again before letting go.
The first thing that caught Acubens' attention was a glimmer from the floor. Carefully, measuring each step. She watched the walls, waiting for them to close in on her or for the ceiling to fall like some trap from a movie. She stood still at the scattered crystals for a long moment and when nothing happened, she gestured over her shoulder for the others to follow.
The smell of summer reached her nose and draw her eyes down. She reached down to grasp the crystal as deep an emerald as her eyes, surprised when it felt rough against her fingers. She realized too late that this might be a trap too, but wit was too late now. She tensed and waited, knuckled white around the crystal in her hands as she waited. Nothing. Nothing but this strange crystal and the feeling that she just wanted to go home and sleep. Preferably beside Chione.

From where he had been the senshi of gorgon's had caught sight of Acubens grabbing hold of the other senshi, the female one, and kissing her. it was a shock, so much so that his mouth dropped open with a little soft exclamation leaving his lips. "Oh!" Sitting there, on the ground, his cheeks went red as he stared at the two. This was...unexpected. Turning away, fidgeting and toying with his sleeves Kiuchi turned his attention to the floor he sat on and the wall and then the ceiling - waiting to see if anything would break or fall on them.
Seeing as nothing was happening the dark haired male slowly got to his feet, wincing in pain, he shifted his weight so he was more comfortable. Once he was as comfortable as possible he nodded to Acubens, as it seemed she was...well done with the kissy kissy and cuddle time. It wasn't that he disapproved, far from it, but it was just...one of those awkward things for him. There were a lot of things which were awkward for him actually, something which he wasn't ashamed about either.
With Acubens heading for the mirror, and into it, he followed once she gave the all clear. Still it all seemed safe, which was good, he was ready to curl up and sleep. To be honest he had a feeling Rhona might have plans for tonight...plans which might involve the female senshi she'd just kissed. That in mind he moved over towards Crocus, because he couldn't go and crash at Caleb's and spend the night curled up with the other. He had injuries and it would raise questions...and he couldn't lie but he also couldn't tell the truth. He hated this one facet of being a senshi. He couldn't tell the other and had to lie or keep secrets, and he was bad with lying as he felt guilty for doing so - a lot of it.
While entering into the mirror he grasped for Crocus' uniform. "I can come home with you tonight? I just need a few things then I can follow you? Maybe give them some private time..." By now the tips of his ears were heating up, to the point that he reached up to rub at them as the warmth bothered him.
As Acubens reached out for a crystal, a green one, he was looking at the others which remained on the ground. They were interesting but he didn't reach out for any of them, worried about touching them. He was a bit nervous about everything in mirrorspace right now, considering what had happened this whole trip. He really wasn't sure anyone should be grabbing those crystals but he didn't stop anyone either.

As Crocus waited a bit more patiently than Acubens did for their other companions to cross over to them. However, when Chione joined them he was very surprised to see Acubens plant a huge kiss on the other's lips. He honestly didn't see that coming, not that it bothered him at all. "Congrats." Was about all Crocus could manage to say. He didn't miss Kiuchi's reaction to the whole thing at all and he took the younger Senshi's hand as they crossed through the mirror.
At least this room looked stable, better than anything they had seen in a very long time. Something was calling out to him in here, but before he could looked for it Kiuchi was asking if he could come over to his place. "Of course you're welcome at my place. After we get these cuts checks out though." He was going to avoid a hospital, hopefully there was an urgent care that was open this late, or early? What time was it even.
He kept his eyes on Acubens as she picked up a green crystal and he scanned the ground as well before reaching down for a pale blue crystal. There was just something about it that felt like it was telling him to take it. It didn't seem like it was going to hurt him, but who was he to say anything about anything found in mirrorspace.

Passing through the frame, Laverna's eyes widened at the glistening crystals. There was a strange sense of twisted pleasure seeing them all and had she not been hurt and in dire need of ice, the senshi of thieves would have made a mad dash to claim every single one of them for her own collection. After all....shiny!
Just as she was going to make a move, something caught her attention. Sure she had not missed Lesath and Remarque groping each other in the chaos but all she could do to that was make a mental note and roll her eyes. She had enough of childish behavior in the senshi who seemed to enjoy name calling.
But when two others started macking in the room, Laverna had to throw her hands up. This had gotten to be past the point of too much. There was 'being a family' and then there was just being foolish. Sure, let's make out in the middle of mirrorspace where a giant monster could be waiting to eat us. And name calling was bad?
"I give up." Laverna groaned, turning around as the others grabbed the crystals. She was heading home even if that mean going through the...oh there was another mirror.
Glancing back at Diadem, Laverna gave a shrug. "Coming?" Before she slipped through the mirror to get going.
