{ Violin } . . . xxxxxxxCabhan deeply enjoys the order and discord within music. It is a perfect avenue for his emotions and frustrations, and creates such beautiful works of art in the process. Particularly when combined with the amazing powers of merging the classical instrument with techno beats and new age flare. Though he still holds onto a classical training he remembers though not quite how, Cabhan's performances and even the pieces he writes himself all maintain more of a flare for techno and electronica ears. He's got a YouTube channel he's constantly updating, and while it's mostly unrelated to his music--nor has he yet to gain any big fame from it... he's got dreams!
{ Tea } . . . xxxxxxxOk he's no snob--he does not care if you like it with or without cream or milk. But if you put the cream or milk in first he will side-eye you. Tea stores can count him as one of their common patrons, always with his own giant mug if they allow customers to bring their own. His preferences are definitely for black and green teas, but he's got a taste for almost any. Experimenting with new flavors is a must, and he's already spent some pretty pennies on different custom blends and extremely nice kettle and cup sets. Really, if you catch Cabhan without a cup of tea, take him to the doctor he's probably ill.
{ Seriously Strange } . . . xxxxxxxInspired by his own interest in the occult and YouTubers like Rob Dyke, Cabhan has begun to fashion himself a channel dedicated (mostly) to reporting on cases that mirror, in some capacity, accounts from occult literature such as Poe and Lovecraft, along with folklore and urban legends. Destiny City's own strange events are also easily added into the mix, partially due to his... position in things. His YouTube content is still primarily the spookier content and his goal isn't investigative journalism so much as just trying to find out more about what people think goes bump in the night... versus what's really there. His own interest in the macabre is forming into quite the growing collection in his room, ranging from taxidermy specimens--real, and fabrications of fantastical creatures--to art and sculptures he's collected around voodoo and other shamanistic religions, to pop culture representations. It makes for a great background for his videos! It should also be heavily noted that Cabhan didn't obtain the majority of what he's got through legal means...
{ Urban Exploration } . . . xxxxxxxConnected to his personal research into growing urban legends around the city, Cabhan has a tendency to take his camera with him as he pokes around the city, especially as he tries to learn the ins and outs of the world around him. And the best way to get the creepy footage and see if he can stir up some answers? By poking into the creepy parts of the city of course. He's becoming an avid collector of maps of the city from all ages and types, trying to compare them to find so-called hidden sectors, underground tunnels--the works. Though still an amateur at this point, his escapades have hardly brought him anything fantastic or especially noteworthy, but he does still enjoy exploring (breaking and entering, as the police might call it...) old warehouses, apartment complexes, and run down houses in various parts of the city. He's always hoping for the secret passages and creepy tunnels he reads about online or sees in videos, but he's yet to quite get there.
{ Clothes } . . . Cabhan won't officially say he's into mori (/dark mori) but he loves the "forest dweller" look with darker colors and some layers. The more trinkets and accessories he can get with the "occult, bone, vine, leaf, flower" theme--ok that's a lot shhh--the better for him. ↠xxxBody wise, he's lean with only a little muscle definition here and there just from being loosely active. ↠xxxHe has multiple piercings in both ears
{ Keen Eyes and Mind } . . . xxxxxxxCabhan's got a sharp wit, and even sharper eyes. Eyes that rarely seem to remain still, unless he's locking gaze with another person. Then they have a tendency to linger longer than some might find comfortable. Cabhan tries to take in as much as he can at once when it comes to his surroundings, never mind the people he's dealing with. Though just because he notices things--body language in someone he's talking to, maybe some slight of hand attempts if someone's close enough and he's got just the right angle--doesn't mean he always understand the significance, or will be mindful to... y'know. Tell others around him, or even act on it himself. But spotting something and acting right on it doesn't aways go hand in hand. He does at least have a hell of a mind for details, it's just a question of if he understands the significance of whatever it is he's just seen.
{ Energizer Bunny } . . . xxxxxxxThe boy's got stamina, what can he say... Really though, for all he loves to drink caffeinated tea and Monsters, he probably doesn't need the additional energy boost once he gets going for the day. Cabhan is a chatterbug, pleased to carry a conversation on with practically himself if no one else in the vicinity was willing to toss in their two cents. Projects are always tackled with vigor, even if he might be trying to juggle a few at once. Part of Cabhan's success is his knowledge of how to at least pace himself. He can keep up his antics for long periods--be it without sleep, breaks, or even apparently air in some conversations--only due to his knowledge on how to break problems down into more manageable chunks he can then ramble through. From sun up to way past sun down, Cabhan's got the energy to keep going... probably long after others would wish he'd just shut up and sit still.
{ Ye Ole Manners } . . . xxxxxxxCabhan can be many things, but intentionally rude is not one of them--blundering into things however, totally possible. If there was one thing instilled upon him, beyond a love of music, it's been manners. He'll do what he can to not raise his voice, and will keep as much a smile on his face as humanly possible even if someone's yelling in his ear. Sure everyone slips, but Cabhan tries to live by the simple concept of "Do one to others as you would have them do to you." That and just the fact manners should be pretty much law. Doors are always held open for people behind him, he'll always stand at a dinner table when a lady arrives or leaves. Everyone he meets will always get a polite, chipper greeting and kind words. And potentially disconcerting long eye contact.
{ Edge of Unease } . . . xxxxxxxCabhan is... intense sometimes, when it comes to his focus on people. His long eye contact, near constant smiles, creepy factoids. He knows it can unnerve some people. And he plays that up intentionally sometimes, trying to get a rise out of others. Sometimes though, he can just be... a bit off in his own world. He describes it as trying to fit too much at once into his head--sometimes he just stands there smiling without really seeming to acknowledge the world while he tries to file everything he's just gathered away in his brain. It's not that uncommon for him to hear he's an oddball. Cabhan doesn't always aim to unnerve others, or get a bit too intense in conversations. Rather, for as often as he notices possible signs of someone else's discomfort and maybe chooses to ignore it for his own purposes, he's equally as likely to be so wrapped up in other aspects of the situation that he'll fail to respond to the same signs and just... take a step back.
{ Out of Hand } . . . xxxxxxxA very obvious downfall to all his apparent boundless energy--not everyone likes having a very chatty, very rambunctious youth hanging around. Cabhan can very easily become too animated or intense around others, regardless of the situation. Even when out in public, he doesn't always watch his volume level like he should, or isn't prone to censoring himself when he maybe should be considerate of who else might have the misfortune of overhearing him--or who might be trying to eat, for instance. Even requests for him to slow down or lower his volume aren't honored for long. Sure he'll apologize, maybe move out of the area if need be, but it doesn't keep him quiet for long, or keep him from steering back into uncomfortable--or inappropriate--topics. And if someone happens to be offended? Well, sure, he'll apologize... and then go right back to whatever he was saying.
{ Killing with Kindess } . . . xxxxxxxIf Cabhan knows how to get more flies with honey than with vinegar, then he's not new to the concept of how a venus fly trap works. While he can very easily go overboard with his volume and inappropriate factoids in various situations, Cabhan is someone who will happily go out of his way to assist other people and offer whatever aid he can... with the constant tallies going on in his head on how much they'll owe him in return. Everything in this world comes with a price, and while he rarely will say as much off the bat, if someone makes the mistake of asking friendly Cabhan for a big favor... well. He'll be happy to oblige... and then come back around to collect his due later on when he requires it. Very much a checks and balances sort of person in this mentality, Cabhan views each act of kindness as a way to pave his own way through the world in terms of what chips he can cash in later on. Should someone not be so willing to reciprocate... well. Sure, that's fine... he'll just go cash in a few favors with someone else and.... I mean. Accidents happen to good people all the time, right?

Beyond the Body . . . . _________「𝔅」Holding his hand up towards a target, Rigel speaks the name of the attack and an inky substance forms as it out of his hand, falling to the floor. The substance stretches out towards the target, regardless of whatever obstacles might be on the floor, and latches onto the target's legs, pulling down on them. The target then begins to sink into the inky substance up to mid-calf, with the inky tendrils rising higher to about their hips, as if aiming to pull them lower. Beneath the dark surface, the target can feel things slithering and moving beneath them, and will continue to until the magic ends after 30 seconds. Once the magic is up, the target is back above ground and no trace remains, on them or the ground, of the unearthly material. Rigel can only use this against a target within eye-sight and within a range of six feet, and can only use his magic three times per day. A target can struggle to get free of the material, though difficult for anyone of Rigel's rank.

The substance stretches out towards the target, regardless of whatever obstacles might be on the floor, and latches onto the target's legs with thorny, fang-like spikes protruding from the tendrils, pulling down on the target. The target then begins to sink into the inky substance up to their knees, with the thorny, inky tendrils rising higher to about their middle, as if aiming to pull them lower. Beneath the dark surface, the target can feel things slithering and moving beneath them, snapping at their feet and legs, and will continue to until the magic ends after 30 seconds. Once the magic is up, the target is back above ground and no trace remains, on them or the ground, of the unearthly material. The target can be damaged by the thorny protrusions of the inky substance, however the creatures beneath the surface are only a figment of their imagination--the player can say the target feels any extent of damage they wish beneath the surface, but the effect would only be in the target's mind, and they would be unscathed by the imaginary creatures. Rigel can only use this against a target within eye-sight and within a range of ten feet, and can only use his magic three times per day. A target can struggle to get free of the material, especially with help, though difficult for anyone of Rigel's rank and could risk further damage from the thorny fangs.
Beyond this World . . . . _________「𝔈」Speaking the name of the attack, Rigel leans forward and clutches at his body as if in pain. Cracking sounds come from his back, and the thorny, inky substance--now complete with swiveling eye-like polyps and protrusions--begins to rip out of his back and uniform as if from erupting from his body. The substance forms into slender tendrils that sweep outward in all directions around Rigel, covering a radius of six feet. When characters are struck by the tendrils, they are knocked back by the blunt force of the hit. The tendrils are powerful enough to knock people back and every time they come in contact with someone, they leave behind a thick black tar that gives the sensation of skin melting. The tendrils do not have to touch skin for this sensation to occur; it passes through clothes or armor. Players can choose how many tendrils strike them, and where, and can also choose to have the tendril's pointed tip cause slashing or puncturing damage. They may also choose to have the black tar cause actual damage or last for longer than the duration of the magic. After 30 seconds the tendrils dissipate, and Rigel stands again, his uniform in one piece and seemingly no worse for wear. He can only do this twice per day.

Establishing a Connection 30 October, 2017
His lip was bleeding again.
Cabhan sighed at the screen he sat before, forcing his teeth away from the swollen and bruised, and now bloody, lip he'd been worrying for the last hour. Barely healed scabs peeled back, bright red against black matte paint. Nails clicked against the desk, sending ripples through the cold mug of tea at his side. An oversized sweater hung off his shoulders, exercise pants--more like lounge pants for him--almost unnecessary for his modesty for how big the sweater was. He sat with one leg crossed on the chair, the other knee pulled up for his chin to rest on.
He'd been working on his newest script for a YouTube video and accompanying few blog posts to include more behind the scenes and research info. But the words just flitted away like moths in a flame. Too much, too strong, lost to the intensity of their interest. He couldn't focus.
Was Cass in? Could he just go chill in the living room instead of staying cooped up in his borrowed room? It wasn't like she forbid him from being out there, it was more he disliked being out there alone. It just wasn't as fun.
More news articles about recent attacks and oddities around the city--the giant spiders from the Garden, strange sightings around in different areas--and online accounts all littered his desk again. Photos from some of the events and supposed sightings of giant bats, weird creatures, and more. None were good. All were blurry, a lot faked based on account info, some of the injuries sustained. He had one of his own from the spiders, currently wrapped up and already he was thankfully over the heavy illness that had settled in after it.
That hadn't been an ounce of fun.
But even with all the information spreading around, even with his own experiences, he wasn't finding much to write about, never mind film or create a new episode for his channel on. Sure, he'd done his haunted area walks and filming, editing those to show some creepy footage and odd angles gifted to him by his abilities as a corrupt senshi. But he'd never tried to film a youma yet.
Would they even let him?
Would it get taken down off the channel?
Surely it'd be more interesting than the rest of the drabble he was dealing with, right? Or perhaps he could use his position to start doing some sort of.... augmented reality stories? Filming the stories, narrating, editing as needed, to show a creepy, twisted view of their fair city. A fantasy tale that held more truth than most would be aware, or willing to accept.
Or would the Negaverse frown upon such a thing?
Google searches brought up mixed signals on this, bits of information about the Negaverse from a few years prior, depicting them as heroes and aids against the invading senshi. Not much else since then. Why? Was this is a mandate? Cabhan didn't pry, didn't question anyone. He could, he supposed. Ask Cass if she knew, ask Ilian. Ilian especially. If his commanding General wasn't keen on the direction of queries, then that'd surely be a sign of how others would view it?
And if General Jet was tolerant of it?
Cabhan began to bite his lip again, tasting pennies and eyes unseeing the screen before him. Rigel could begin making queries of others, finding who might be interested, what lines couldn't be crossed. What had already been done. It could be nothing more than an exercise in futility of course.
But it'd be a reprieve from his boredom, a new direction to go in, and if all else failed, a check off his list for possible places for him to thrive.
