Dislikes: Outsiders, the idea of failure, and the idea of being seen as weak or unworthy of being one of the first born of Elzira.

ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO

Aspirations: To be the best of the best, to prove herself as being worthy of being the first of Elzira's daughters. In time she will decide to take the path of a Guardian and her sights will be set on the Limbara being her mount.

Personality: As one of the first among the Elaria born to Elzira Ceylinae knows that she has a lot to prove. The idea of faltering, of failing, it something that is more terrifying to her then anything else in the world. She has to become someone noteworthy, someone who is the strong, beautiful, intelligent, everything that the Elaria are meant to be. She has to be someone who will stand out even among the older members of the extremist group and not just because she looks different. If she isn't able to do so then that means that she's failed completely.

Her need to succeed will likely often get her into trouble, as well as get her in over her head, and being rescued by others will only make her want to push herself that much harder. What are a few scars when one is striving toward greatness after all?

Ceylinae is the sort who will do redo things time and again to make sure that she gets them right, even if it proves to be an exhaustive effort. If at first she doesn't succeed try another dozen times or so will be a sort of mantra to her. She wants to show that there as a reason that Elzira choose her to become among those born first, as well as do whatever is needed to help the Elaria and the rest of her sisters become something great. They might find themselves standing against the entire world but at least they have each other. It's that bond which is most important, even if knowing that their enemies are numerous will only push her that much harder.

Bio: Ceylinae grew up on the stories of the greatness of her tribe, listening to who they are, who they were meant to be, and what was stolen from them by those among their family willing to stab them in the back to push their own views. She has very specific views about the outside world, about those out there who are her enemies, as well as the desire to become someone who stand against them. She doesn't have any desire to leave their village as of yet, but instead wants to protect what they have. The 'others' have already stolen enough from them, so she wants to make sure that they aren't allowed to come to their village to steal more.

She grew up hearing about how she and two of her other sisters were a sign of change, as well as the first blessings of Elzira to be born. She is a sign that their tribe wasn't meant to just give up, to roll over, and cry over all they had lost. They were instead meant to pick up the pieces, steel themselves, and become great again! Just because someone beat them once doesn't mean that they should take that as a sign that they were beaten forever.

It's that which drives her, to become strong like the sisters she lives among, to strive for the ideal that their matron speaks of, and to make sure that they don't lose anything else. To see the tribe and village grow strong and happy, that is what she wants most not matter what. She's young yet, but she'll grow into her ideals!.

~ One of the first daughters born of Elzira she is a very determined young girl, one that wants to become the best of the best for her people. It will take a lot of time and effort, as well as a lot of training, but she'll get there one day no matter what it takes.

~ Now a prentice who is training really hard Ceylinae to be worthy of the rank of blade among her sisters. She means to be the best of the best, to prove that she is worthy of being among the 'First Three' no matter what she has to do.

~ There are a lot of things going on around her but she's still doing her best to get stronger for her people. The more time that passes the more she's starting to find her own beliefs about what the Elaria should do moving forward... but they are thoughts she keeps mostly to herself. She didn't want to seem as though she's a coward or anything after all.

~ The presence of the Dretch have caused a lot of changes in Ceylinae's life. Plans that she had been certain of started to change, up to and including her ideas about never leaving Yael. She always wanted to be someone that protected the home front but that plan will have to stay on hold until the bug mages have been taken care of.

CEYLINAE'S FAMILIARS

~ A strange creature that lives within the forests of Yael. The imp, that will be dubbed Ianthe, is something that Cey will come across soon during one of her training expeditions. While not exactly the Limbara she wants the little creature will be a welcome friend that will accompany her during training.

~ It took some doing but Ceylinae was finally able to get her hands on a limbara whelp. The creature that she dubbed 'Savage' in hope that it would grown up strong ends up being a male of the species. She won't fault him for that right provided he proves himself strong... but anything he does poorly is obviously due to his gender.

ELARIA

After the exiled Alkidike were banished from the mainlands of Tendaji and sent to the Island of Yael, their leaders planted the hidden seed of Aisha in Yael's soil. Though the tree grew quickly the Alkidike had to wait before it was ready to bear lotuses. The tree quickly adapted to the soil it grew in, altering its color and shape to suit the environment. The Alkidike wouldn't have guessed that this would have effected the unborn children yet to form within her flowers.

The all female race Elaria born from the new mother tree Elzira had changed. Their skin was a dark gray, with light pink extremities and cream colors markings. Their eyes were no longer the black of the Alkidike but a light green, so light it was mistaken as a glow upon first sight. The once black hair had lightened to a maroon red, and the antennae that had made the Alkidike so proud were the strangest sight of all. Their antennae had curled on itself, and new extra sets of antennae had grown from the sides of their head.

Born to Alkidike mothers, the Elaria have stuck true to their roots and have grown knowing the ways of the Alkidike. Proud of their heritage, they choose to change nothing and continue to be the Cousins of their original race, holding their ideals and beliefs strong and training under the Alkidike to become blades and warriors.

Knowing same sex relationships with other Elaria to be the norm and most accepted, they frown upon hybrids, knowing it is a disgrace to their great race and their Cousins in the north.


Religion: The Elaria, having been born from Aisha's sister tree, worship and revere their own mother Elzira. Elzira is considered the true daughter of Aisha by the Elaria and the Alkidike alike, having come from a seed of Aisha. The Alkidike refer to the Elaria as their Cousins, rather than Sisters, but their feelings toward their own mother trees are very similar having split from the original Alkidike but carrying on their ways.


Government: Like the Alkidike, the Elaria are run by a group of matriarchs, the Elders. There is no set number of Elders, nor is there a specific age at which one may obtain this rank; Elaria women obtain this status by proving themselves as leaders within the tribe. Having left the Alkidike and evolved into their own, the Elaria still carry on the ideals and lifestyle of the original Alkidike.

[At this time, no one outside of the camp knows of the Elaria blooms.]
