Ceylinae had followed the path that Akeldama had put her on and while it had taken some time she was finally able to find her way to where the hatching grounds were located. She didn't want to get too close, not wanting to enrage some the limbara if they were around, but close enough that she could watch them. It took a bit of time for her to find a perfect spot to watch the hatching grounds from but when she finally did it was definitely worth it. There they were, the very creatures that she was looking for, and she couldn't help but to stare with wide eyes. The limbara were right there... a good number of them in fact and she couldn't help but to give a little squeak of delight.
The limbara here were in groups and the sizes of them spoke of a range of ages and genders. Her eyes went scanning over each of the beasts that she could see, studying the tiny ones the most closely because they were so little, and after she thought on it she realized she could likely fit one of the little hatchlings in her pack! That would make it a lot easier when it came to her making an escape with a little one. The problem being that the little ones were all being protected by the massive, armored beasts that were their parents. How was she going to get to them? On top of that if she did get to them how was she supposed to get out with it without the baby making a huge fuss? She really wasn't sure at the moment and felt that it was something she would figure out as she went. For the time being it was best that she made a plan from her perch since she could see so much from up here.
"Let's see then." She murmured to herself, taking in the terrain, where the most of the limbara were gathered, what they were doing, how far the little ones were allowed to wandered from the nests and their parents. The most that she could hope for was one of the babies wandering too far which would allow her to get her hands on one of them fairly easily. She knew that wouldn't the case though as whenever the babies started to wander the mother would give a hissing sound that caused the babies to hurried return to her side. Yeah, they weren't going to get lost very easily, were they?
Hearing a hissing sound that sounded closer then she might and she pressed closer to the rocks she was hiding against. As she did so a pair of large limbara went walking passed where she was hiding. They paused for a moment, sniffing around, growling a bit, before they continued onward. That had been far too close for her liking and she knew that she was going to have to be far more careful if she didn't want to get herself eaten by the limbara before she was able to get her hands on one of their young.

After a while of hanging out in her hiding spot, having to dodge the notice of the limbara on a couple of occasions, Ceylinae decided that she really needed to see about getting a little closer. From where she was she was able to see a good amount of what was going on but she wasn't close enough to make any moves. If she wasn't close enough then how was she supposed to catch herself a baby limbara? There was no way that she would stand a chance when it came to catching one of them if she just waiting on the out skirts and did nothing. She couldn't just stand still and wait! Even if she was really worried about going in given her current condition. She was still on the weaker side so it wasn't as though she could really take them on head to head now could she?
Giving a bit of a sigh she moved to slip down the rocky structure that she was perched on, her feet touching the ground... and the moment she settled down another pair of beasts came walking passed her. She froze in place as the biggest of them went shuffling by while the other one, one that was half its size, turned its attention toward Ceylinae. She blinked a couple times, froze in place, then reached into her pack to get out a piece of dried meet. She lifted it up to wave it in front of the limbara, one she would guess was a year or two old, before she gave the piece of meat a toss. The creature blinked a couple times before whirling around and shuffled after the piece of meat.
The fact that the thing actually took the bait had her sighing a bit in relief as she hadn't really expected to work. She had thought that instead of going after the meat it might decide to try to take a bite out of her instead. Apparently the limbara was young enough that it didn't see her as a threat, maybe because it hadn't run across an Elaria before? It was only dealing with its own kind and being offered food seemed to be a good way to make a creature happy. It would appear that the Alkidike back in the village she'd talked with had been completely correct when it came to fact that food was a good way to win beasts over. She was glad that she'd gotten that lecture because it allowed her to learn that trick, a trick that kept her from getting bitten and kept the others from rushing over.
After watching the smaller limbara for a moment that was eating the piece of meat she found herself wondering if she should try to lead it off. She had a few more pieces of dried meat after all so maybe it would work? Hard to say but there was no reason for her not to try, right? Giving a little nod she started forward, reaching into her pack to get out another piece of meat from in her pack.

As she got closer to the creature she set to tearing off little pieces of it, tossing it toward the limbara that was eating the first piece of meat. It turned slowly to look toward the small piece that was laying there, picking it up, and chewed on it slowly. She gave a bit of a smile, taking it as a good sign, before tossing another piece the limbara's way. The creature took a couple steps forward to pick up that piece as well, chewing slowly, before another moving a few more steps forward for another piece. There was meat and that was enough to get the attention of the creature for a time.
It was nearly within reach to her when a loud snarl drew the attention of the smaller limbara as well as Ceylinae. Both of them turned in sync toward where the bigger limbara was standing, and instantly the smaller one was shuffling off that way. It seemed that while the food was enough to catch its attention for a time it wasn't enough to keep its attention. It seemed that the big one, likely the smaller one's mother, was able to call it over easily. She supposed that she should have expected that, but the only problem being that now the big one seemed to realize that she was here.
She rose slowly to her feet slowly, standing there face to face with the big limbara. Great, seemed as though that wasn't the best idea, was it? Time for her to make her retreat.

Ceylinae's antennae gave a rapid twitch as the big limbara turned to look her direction, its teeth barred, before giving a growling sound. She glanced from side to side in a slow manner, then started to move in a slow manner back toward the perch that she'd been on moments ago. She needed to get back there, climb up, and hope that the big limbara eventually got bored by the fact that she was present. She wasn't sure that it was a good plan but she was sure from up there that she would be able to find a good way to get away from the limbara and outside the hatching grounds. Once she'd escaped the hatching grounds she was going to have to come up with a new plan, wasn't she?
Taking another couple steps had the limbara growling again before it started forward in a charge that was slowly gaining speed. She was quick to run then, heading toward the rocky structure that she'd been perched on before, and went scrambling up it. She did her best to get up to herself up the rocks and away from the snapping jaws of the angry beast. Once up there she starred down at the limbara a shake of her head, "Eesh... that was a big close..." She muttered to herself shifting to sit down as near to the top of the structure as she could get. Once there she watched as the big limbara snarled at her, crashing into the rocky structure a couple of times, before it seemed to sit back and just snarl up at her. It was a while into the growling filled starring contest that she knew that she wasn't exactly going to be getting out of here all that easily, was she? What a bother... she wanted to get out of the hatching grounds so that she could rethink her plan. Not something she could do until the limbara got lost.
"I should have known it wouldn't be that easy." She murmured to herself. It wasn't something she was mad about though. She wanted a limbara after all and to get one she was going to have to put in everything that she had. That meant that she couldn't back down from this... but she did have to retreat now that she'd been spotted. It was something that had her sighing a bit though. First the loss to that glowy eyed weirdo and now this failure to capture a limbara. This was showing her that she really needed to train more, train harder, get stronger, and then maybe she would be more prepared for the battles that were going to keep cropping up. She wasn't from a peaceful tribe, they were warrior women, and if she didn't start winning she was going to look like a fool... she would fail in her place as one of the 'First Three' which she couldn't allow.
Taking her bow from her shoulder she drew an arrow, taking aim, and fired it down to hit the ground in front of the limbara. The creature's attention went to the arrow, crushing it with its powerful jaws. The moment that it was distracted she went off the other side of the rocky structure to begin her escape.

Ceylinae's feet touched down on the ground and she stood there for a moment, stock still, listening for the limbara that was on the other side of the structure. She could hear it as it snapped apart her arrow as though it were nothing... and to a beast that size it really was. She gave a little shake of her head before she started forward as quickly as her feet would take her. It was a rather terrifying few moments as she hurried along, her heart was thudding in her chest in a painful manner, and she was almost certain that she was going to get herself eaten if she wasn't careful. All the training that she'd put until this point felt as though it was the flailing of a child against something the size of a full grown limbara. It only solidified the idea in her mind that she was going to need to capture one of the little ones. There was no way that she was going to be able to capture a bit one after all.
Moving around a corner, heading toward the edge of the hatching grounds now, Ceylinae suddenly stumbled over something and went down hard on her hands and knees. Upon landing she looked over her shoulder, her aqua eyes wide, as she spotted what appeared to be a little limbara. Just the sight of it was enough to made her jaw drop open, "Oh! Ahh... little one..." She said, almost losing her ability to use words for a moment. The limbara was so tiny and cute and the squeaking sounds it was making was just adorable! She wanted nothing more then to reach out to it, wrap her arms around it, and hug it close... but just as she thought about doing so it started to squeak louder and there was a sound returned to it by other squeaking voices and one voice that belonged to something far, far bigger then the little limbara. It was likely the mother...
Lunging up to her feet she hurried away from the area. As much as she wanted to scoop the baby up so that she could run away with it she knew better then to try. It would cause a fuss and likely draw a whole horde of limbara down on her head. She was going to have to go about the capture of a little limbara in a more careful manner, one that possibly included food? If she could lure the little one away in a way that kept it from squeaking and otherwise fussing then she would actually have a chance to keep it, right? This in mind she looked for another hiding spot that was near to where the little one was playing, watching from that spot as the mother appeared, and set to hissing at the baby in manner that felt as though the big one were scolding it.
Blast... that meant that the little one would be more likely to stick close to its mother to keep from getting in trouble again, huh? Not good but it didn't mean that she was giving up entirely. She just had to plan her next move better was all.

Upon reaching her new hiding spot Ceylinae decided to take a bit of a breather, drinking from her water skin, and munching on a bit of the meat that she had left. She didn't eat all of it though, saving a couple of time pieces to use to attempt to lure a little limbara closer. When the mother didn't seem to be as closer to the babies she clicked her tongue at them, waving the meat, and otherwise did her best to try to get their attention off of what they were doing and onto her. No such luck seemed to be on her side as of yet though.
In fact it seemed that each time one of the little ones seemed to be tempted by her offer of food the mother would notice it wandering off. One hiss from the mother limbara was able to undo all of Ceylinae's attempts which was something that had her sighing a bit in a frustrated manner. Oh come on! The big limbara had a mass of hatchlings so surely it would be fine for her to allow one of them to become Ceylinae's friend! She thought this to herself but didn't dare to make a sound out loud that was more then just little clicking sounds, sure that the big limbara would catch on if she did so. She had to be careful, to keep from getting more attention on her then she wanted, and maybe, just maybe, one of the little ones would finally come her way.

Ceylinae knew that she was probably pushing her luck by sticking around the hatching grounds any longer then she already had. She knew that there were several of the bigger limbara as well as some of the smaller ones that were aware of her presence. That in and of itself was more then enough of a reason to leave and yet she stuck around. She wanted a limbara since she was a youngling and they were right here in front of her! It was difficult to deal with the idea that she might have to fall back and regroup when she was so very close. What if they weren't here when she got back? What if the little ones weren't little anymore? What if she was still unable to get one even after regrouping to make a new place? There was so much to worry about and it only seemed to compound the fretful mood that she was currently in.
That mood led then to her worrying if maybe that was the problem? Were the limbara able to sense the fact that she was in such a terrible, mixed up mood at the moment? Did they know that she was shaken by her loss against the glowy eyed weirdo as well as by the various run ins with the big limbara? She supposed that it was possible but not something that she wanted to think too hard on if only because she knew it was detrimental. She was already wound up inside as it was. If she got to thinking it was that mood that drove off the limbara then she would fret even more.
No, instead of worrying herself sick she just had to remind herself that she wasn't exactly in tip top shape now was she? She couldn't be expected to take on a whole pack of limbara when she was still injured from her battle against the swordsman. Once she was recovered from that then catching a limbara would be simple she told herself in what she hoped was a confident manner. Confident was good, though arrogant was not... the latter of the two could get her killed while the former was merely Ceylinae bolstering her mood so that she'd feel better about everything that had happened recently. As painful and almost impossible a task it was she knew that she had to put it all behind her and move on.
It was hard though because what she wanted to do was analyze everything that she'd done, figure out exactly where she went wrong, and fix it. Training was needed no matter if she gave herself a break or not because it was that training that would allow her to get ahead of the glowy eyed weirdo. Once she was ahead of him she would be able to take him on again and next time she'd win! A successful battle against such an enemy was needed she thought to herself before she was dragged out of her thoughts by a grumbling sound.
Turning her head she found herself starring at a few of the smaller limbara that were shuffling around closer to her then they had been allowed to get for some time, something that would allow her once last chance before she headed out to get some rest.
