The sun was up, as was Ceylinae. Not at the same time though as the young prentice had gotten up a little bit before the sun as she had every day since she was quite young. It was a good time to train, while others might still be sleeping, which she hoped meant that she would have the edge as far as getting stronger went. She loved her sisters, those that were born at the same time as her especially, but that didn't mean that she wanted the to get ahead of her. If they got too far ahead then that would show that she was... well, weak. Not a reputation that she could risk! As such she pushed herself hard on a daily basis in hopes of becoming someone grand.

The festival had been a nice diversion, one that lasted long enough that Ceylinae had actually started to itch with the desire to get to training again. It was over though for the year, allowing her to get back to what she was best at, training. She meant to get herself ready to the point that her cousins, and more importantly the Mystics, thought her ready for a weapon of her own. Once she had that she'd finally feel as though she were really going in the right direction. Until then she could do little more then pray to Elzira that she was doing all the right things.

Coming to a gradual stop Ceylinae tossed her long braid over her shoulder before she proceeded to dig through her pack, retrieving her water skin from it. Once found she lifted it to her lips, taking a long draw for it, before looking around. Where was she? Best to figure out her location before she started to run again, feeling that there would be nothing more embarrassing then if a search and rescue had to be sent out to find her.

Zayana was awake early, taking a serious focus on her task at hand. As she grew older and expressed interest in her mother's familiar, she was quickly thrust into the role of Limbara caretaker. It was tough work, cleaning the stall and feeding the beast, but Zayana knew it was worth it when she was permitted to finally ride atop the creature.

Oh, what joy the height was. It made her think of her mother's home, the tall trees and the ability to see afar. As she finished feeding the beast, she took a moment to climb up, her young limbs working until she was high atop and looking around the area.

Only then did she see one of the original three, and her smile faded as she debated calling out in greeting.

Ceylinae's antennae gave a bit of a twitch as she felt the sensation that came along with someone's eyes falling upon her. She set to glancing around for a moment, wondering who it might be. It took her a short time before she spotted a youngling that was glancing his way. She gave a little smile, lifting a hand to give the girl a wave. Since it was one of her younger sisters she saw no reason to worry. At first she'd thought that maybe she was dealing with a wild beast or a maybe one of those glowy eyed weirdos. Instead it was young of her sisters, which was far preferable until Ceylinae was able to get her hands on a weapon of her own.

Giving a smile she found herself debating on going back to her run but turned back again. The girl was looking her way but not really smiling. Was she alright? Should she say something? Her antennae all twitching for a moment she called out, "Good morning, little sister!"

Zayana took a deep breath. This was a sister, not a cousin. Her mothers didn't really say much about her sisters, in fact they encouraged her to be respectful and supportive of her sisters in blood and coloring. It was the elders that they worried about, how meddling they were with the newly bloomed Elaria. Sure, the first three were important, but she knew her mothers felt well suited to raise their daughters without the watchful eyes of the matron.

Maybe that's why Zayana was a bit hesitant until she saw the smile on the elder sister's face. Well, it didn't hurt to make a friend, and possibly an ally. It was always important to trust one's sisters, they would one day be fighting back to back and need that trust.

"Good morning..." She echoed, a bit shyly, before tilting her head and taking a deep breath. She was an Elaria, the future, and she was proud. Raising her chin a bit, she seemed to puff from her perch before sliding down and patting the limbara to return to the pen.

She was strong enough, and if anything, Lumikani taught her size and shape made no difference as long as one had pride and determination, "Why are you so far out from the camp?"

It was rare anyone came near Lumikani and Zandala's home these days, as the two made it clear they enjoyed their privacy to train.

Ceylinae watched the beast as it returned to its pen, feeling a momentary bite of envy. How she longed for a Limbara of her own... but she wasn't the sort to let such a feeling linger too long. It was childish of her to feel envious of a... well, child. She knew that she would get a limbara of her own one day, it would just involve more training on her side. She felt that the day was growing closer though or so she hoped.

As the girl spoke up, asking her why she was so far from the camp she gave a half shrug and said, "I'm working on stamina training. The longer I can run without getting exhausted the better. It always gives me a chance to work on my breath control." One didn't want to be panting like a beast after a run, it was undignified and would make her appear as weak. She'd do as much training as was required to avoid such a terrible thing as others seeing in a state of disarray.

"What about you? Training with the limbara?" She couldn't help but to be curious when such a beast was involved... and given it was one of her little sisters that made it that much more curious to what the girl was up to.

Zayana seemed quick to accept her explanation. Why wouldn't she considering how often she saw her mother's go for runs multiple times a day. In fact, she too was beginning to get such training now that she was old enough.

It wasn't with a bow, but it was something worth while anyway.

"There are trails outside of the camp my momma runs...but she said there are outsiders lingering about and that I need to stay inside the camp..."

Her voice trailed a moment before she realized the turn around question, and nodded once, "It's my duty to take care of the Limbara if I want to be a legendary rider..."

And she would. She just needed to be older.

Ceylinae's antennae gave a bit of a twitch before she said, "I've heard that those glowy eyed weirdos are skulking about. They had best not be so stupid as to get too close to use or else they are going end up in a world of trouble." She said, waving one hand in a dismissive manner before adding, "I'd like to believe aren't so stupid, but one never knows when it comes to those sorts."

She'd heard that they were all a bunch of cowards so she couldn't say that she was too worried about the ones with the glowing eyes... it was just the rest of them. The 'outsiders' that had their cousins so unfairly banished here. If was if they came back that she might[/] worry... but hopefully before that happened she'd have a weapon in hand.

"Hm? You're wanting to become a Guardian as well, Sister? Interesting." So she was planning to go down a similar path to the one that Ceylinae was planning to go down? That was good to hear, that she would have a fellow Guardian to train with. At the same time though it seemed she had a bit of a head start as she already had a Limbara. Something that Ceylinae hoped to get herself someday soon.. but she couldn't let herself focus on that. She wasn't going to allow energy to slow her down.

Zayana shifted a bit at the comment of outsiders, uncertain slightly with the idea of them wandering close. She heard her mother's talm about that too, about how hard headed the older Elaria and Alkidike sisters were. They were foolish to think they could survive another war, according to her mothers, and they wished that the tribe would keep focus internally for a generation or two.

"We are far enough away to not worry about an invasion..." She mumbled with ease, before focusing on the more pleasing discussion.

"Oh yes, I will ride my momma's Limbara and use my mother's bow...and I'll be a true Elaria to lead our sisterhood to prosperity on behalf of Elzira! I'll be a great guardian and protector that will go down in history!"

She wasn't full of pride as she said it, but a clam certainty that it would be a fact.

"I suppose we will see." The idea that they were far enough away from the glowy eyed weirdos to worry about an invasion was one that she liked the sound of. Not because she was a coward but because she wasn't properly set up to fight yet. Once she got her hands on a weapon then sure, she was all for those fools trying to get close. Until then they had better stay on their side of the island or else! Or else... hm... she supposed she'd just have to get herself a hefty stick and knock them senseless with it!

As the girl spoke of what she meant to do in the future Ceylinae's antennae gave a little twitch, finding herself wishing for a moment that she had that same sort of confidence. The girl was lucky in that she didn't hold the title of 'One of the First Three' since it came with a lot of expectations that weighed heavily upon Cey's mind. To the point that she only felt as though she were doing enough when she was pushing herself constantly. Once she had a weapon and a limbara then maybe, just maybe, she'd feel what her little sister did.

Giving a smile she said, "I'm glad to hear that you're so certain about your path, little sister. Its important that we all work our very hardest!" They had to give it their all and then some, to make sure that nobody got in their way.

Zayana took another moment to study the elder Elaria, familiar with the girl considering she was one of the original three. She recognized Cey thanks to the annual ceremonies, but had yet a chance to get this close to speak with the other girl. It felt a bit taboo to talk to another outside of their family, but Zayana was feeling a bit troublesome and excited. Her parents would encourage her anyway to get familiar with her sisters and build up a sisterhood for the future.

Zayana nodded, and grinned, before considering a moment.

"Would you like to meet Masigo? She is older and much more tame than when momma raised her as a whelp." Zayana didn't mind showing off the large Limbara, "Beside, she likes attention, especially if you give her treats..."

Really, this was a chance for Zayana to show off how well she was training the Limbara, and keep the praise of hard work going.

Ceylinae's aqua eyes went wide and the big antennae seemed to stand up high as the girl invited her to meet with Masigo. It was something that had her nodding rapidly, "Sure!" She knew that she was being a bit childish, wanting to play with the Limbara, but she couldn't resist. She knew full well that what she should be doing was training more but Limbara was one of her biggest weaknesses. The idea of getting to meet with Masigo, to give her treats, it was exciting! How she wanted to do nothing more then go and snuggle the creature... though that wasn't something she would do while in front of someone else. She have to wait until she had her own limbara and was completely alone before she did something like that.

Giving a smile she said, "Lead the way then." She would take a tiny break from her training, say hello to Masigo, pet her a bit, then she would get back to work. Surely a tiny break wouldn't put her too far behind, right? Here was to hoping that was the case at least. To be certain she'd even redouble her training for the day so that she could justify this unwarranted break.

Zayana grinned brightly at the other'side excitement, happy to see that someone seemed to enjoy the creature as much and she did.

"Momma also has a radaku, from the mainland..." She said easily, although Radaku were pretry common thanks to most Alkidike sisters bringing them over. It almost felt like they had their own colony of the mounts native to Jauhar.

Approaching the covered cage and gated area, Zayana let out a soft chirp like whistle and clicked her tongue. She moved her small hand into the satchel that hung on the fence before the ground began to shake ever so slightly. Antenna twitching, the young Elaria grinned.

A few treats were tossed toward the Radaku before the Limbara finally arrived at the fenced gate, looking expectantly at the two.

As she followed along after the girl and got a better look at the limbara she gave a thoughtful sound, leaning in a bit. Hmm... well now, there was something that she probably should have realized earlier. The little sister was the daughter of Lumikani, wasn't she? She recalled her meeting with that particular cousin and how she'd spoken of given the limbara that she had to her daughter... and this was that daughter. Kind of lucky to just be handed such a beast but at the same time she didn't want anything just handed to her. Getting things handed to you ran the risk of making you look weak, something that Ceylinae couldn't allow as one of the 'first three'.

She glanced at the girl at the mention of her mother also having a radaku, something that made her nod a little, "That's neat." Not that she was interested in radaku personally, mostly because they just weren't limbara. There was just something about limbara and the sheer power that they displayed that made them so very interesting to Ceylinae. The power of such a monstrous beast would only add to her own power after all, something that she loved the sound of.

Glancing at Zayana she sad, "Your limbara is very awesome." She said as she arrived, giving a bit of a smile, wondering for a moment if the creature remembered her. Maybe, maybe not, she had only met the beast the one time after all. Smiling a bit she said, "Just seeing her really makes me want to go out and catch one of my own."

Zayana glanced back toward her sister, eyeing the elder with a thoughtful look before sniffing once, "Aren't you old enough to go catch one? They aren't far, by the fire mountain near the glowey eyed weaklings..."

Zayana threw some food at the Limbara, who eagerly leaned forward to eat it.

"I'm sure a strong sister like you could make the journey..." The younger girl didn't seem to doubt her statement, and simply tilted her head as her antennae twitched slightly.

"Just about there. I need to get my hands on a weapon and the first thing I plan to do is find my Limbara." She just had to get to the point where she was able to have a weapon. She could only hope that all of the hard work that she was putting in as far as her training went would show the elders and the Matron that she was ready to have her bow! Here was to hoping that it would be sooner then later because she was starting to get a bit lonely to be honest. Her training was long, difficult, and something that she mostly did on her own. Having a Limbara with her, the one that would be her partner, would make it better. In face it would make it amazing because she'd be training together with the massive beast! A thought that had her man antennae bouncing in delight.

Giving a smile Ceylinae said, "Even if I have to go through those glowy eyed weirdos to get my Limbara it will definitely be worth it." She kind of been wanting to test her skills against one of those idiots. She'd definitely have a chance to do just that if she ran across one while hunting the Limbara.

As her little sister spoke up saying that a strong sister like her could make the journey Ceylinae's eyes went a bit wide, her cheeks coloring a bit, "I... Ahh... thanks." That was weird, she'd gotten a rather nice compliment from her little sister. It was a little odd since she was so used to dealing with, and dealing out, snark as far as Naqenni was concerned. This was a different change of pace, one she kind of liked.
