After an argument with her mother Akeldama had decided that she would leave the house. In doing so she simply wandered. Of course she couldn't go anywhere outside the village really. She wasn't allowed. None of the Elaria really were. Not to say they didn't push their boundaries. With a sigh the youngling found a tree to climb up into. It made her think of the friend she'd made recently; Kanika. Akel had to wonder what the other Elaria was doing. However, when she was settled on the bottom branch to sit and swing her legs she caught sight of one of her other sisters. If she recalled correctly then it was one of the first that Elzira had given. With a tilt of her head Akeldama sat there and watched as the girl trained or whatever it was she was doing. It wasn't like there was much else they could do.

As per the norm for her Ceylinae had been up since before the sun, setting out on a run the moment she'd gotten dressed and had her hair tied back out of the way. Several laps around the village were the warm up before she headed out, taking a trail that she knew well that went up and down hills, across some rocky terrain, and then around a small pond before doubling back along the same path. She'd been at it for some time now and now that she had finally broken a good sweat she was on her way toward the village once more. Plans for today involved finding something new to do, a new something tough to add to her usual routine so that it wouldn't become just that, routine. She would never get strong if she just did the same things all the time, not to mention they would become boring as well as easy. Jumping from the path onto a rock, then to a bigger one, she then jumped up to catch hold of a thick, lower branch of the tree that Akeldama happened to be in without seeing her. She swung for a moment on the branch, forward and backwards, due to her monemtum but once she was able to slow herself down a bit she then went into some pull ups. She wanted, no needed, her arms to get strong so that she'd be able the wield the weapon that she so desired to her hands on... not to mention the sheer physical strength it was going to take for her to take on a Limbara when she was finally ready to face such a beast. After a good amount of pull ups she lifted herself up, changing her position she was hanging upside down on the branch by her knees, and set to work doing some crunches in the invert position. It was only then that she seemed to spot the youngling. She gave her a little nod of acknowledgement before continueing on with what she was doing, wondeirng for a moment if the little girl was also up early training.

She watched Cey for a while longer and didn't seem to move when the older Elaria jumped into the tree she was in. Akel swung her legs in time with the other girl's pull ups. When she flipped herself to hang upside down the little one finally spoke. "You'll mess up your hair that way." Since Ceylinae had much longer hair than what Akel had she had to wonder if it was even functional. Really she was surprised more of her sisters didn't have shorter hair. "You'll also get really sweaty and dirty if you don't pace yourself." Something else that the youngling didn't seem to like.

Ceylinae paused to look up at the girl who was telling her that she was going to mess up her hair, something that caused her gaze to drop to the braid that was hanging under her. She gave a slight shrug and said, "It's braided to keep it from being too messed up." Though it tended to pick up debris a bit, sticks and leaves the most often. She didn't mind though since it was just a few bits here and there. After another set of the upside down crunches she let herself hang, telling the girl above her, "Sweat and dirt washes off, so I don't really mind ether." She said before lifting her hands up, taking hold of the branches so that she could pull herself up, moving to climb the tree toward where the girl was perched. She gave her a once over before continueing the climb up a ways, using the perch to look things over, "So I take it by the fact that you're just sitting that you aren't training yourself, little sister?" She questioned the girl.

The fact that so little of her sisters cared about their appearance made her wrinkle her nose. Just because they were supposed to be strong didn't mean they had to be dirty. Or messy. Or unkempt. So Akeldama gave a huff and went back to swinging her legs. Though as the other Elaria climbed higher than she was the youngling watched. Only to have to tilt her head back quite a bit when she was asked a question. "Not right now. I just had a fight with Ciriet.." There was a small sigh to show she was bummed out. "I don't feel like doing anything really." Going back to her innocent swinging of her legs she brought her head down so she could look at the ground and search for signs of life. Be it animal or insect.

Once she'd made it to where she wanted to get on the tree Ceylinae set to looking over the area around them, humming to herself as she sought out a new and interesting path to take on the next leg of her training. Lowering her gaze to the one below her now she found herself asking, "And Ciriet is...?" There were times she felt that she should do a bit more in the way of training her mind, so that she could recall of her sisters and cousins, by both name and deed, but if she spent too much time on that sort of thing she might fall behind in her training and be weaker by comparison to her sisters. Not something she could allow. "Don't feel like it? Hmm..." Weird, that an Elaria could feel that way. She supposed that it could be because she wasn't among the first born? She must not feel the same crushing pressure to suceed and prove herself as being worthy of being among the 'first three' like Ceylinae did. Every time she sat still for too long she felt as though she were slacking off and that she'd be looked down for it. Somehow though this girl could stil around just because she didn't feel like doing anything. The privilage of being those who came after Ceylinae, Naqenni, and Ku, perhaps? Starting down the tree she said, "I'd reconsider, sitting around all day doing nothing will make you seem as though you're slacking off." She said as she moved to lower herself to the ground before stretching out all over, making sure not to let her muscles get sore or locked up.

"Ciriet is my Alk mother." Akel grumbled a bit. Then as Cey moved she watched. Of course seeing her doing things made her want to do things but she was being stubborn. She wouldn't do any training today. Or.. at least not right this minute. "I kinda am slacking off. I want to go outside the village and Ciriet won't even let me put one toe out. Says its too dangerous." So it was her way of getting back at the woman responsible for raising her. To appear as though she was doing nothing. Finally, though, she stopped simply swinging her legs and moved to climb down from the tree. "I just want to explore a little bit. The village is boring."

"Your Alkidike mother, I see." Was that it, perhaps? The fact that their Great Mother Elzira was allowing others to go to her to pray for children, children that were being raised by their 'mothers' as opposed to the village as a whole raising her and the others who lacked 'mothers'. It was something that had her thinking on it for a moment, wondering if that were a better life to have. A thought she decided was dangerous, as well as something she didn't want to worry about. She was who she was, she was born with a certain duty on her shoulders. She couldn't worry about what could have been and instead she had to think about the here and now. Glancing at her she said, "It is dangerous, all of Yael is, but that just means we need to get stronger so that we can live our lives to the fullest here." One had to be strong to survive here and Ceylinae meant to be the strongest. "Hm? Yes, I was stuck in the village when I was younger as well. I slipped out from time to time for training purposes or because I wanted to go on an adventure with one of my sisters." She said, then gave the girl a glance, "I'm not suggesting you do that of course." She wasn't about to get herself in trouble by suggesting such things though, not when Cey might get in trouble, which would mess with her training routine.

She sighed. "I do train, but being cooped up here all the time is driving me nuts." Akeldama eyed Cey as she said that she had slipped out when she was younger. Of course one of the original three would be able to do that and get away with it. If she even tried.. well, Ciriet had sisters of her own that would watch to make sure it didn't happen. "I already know I want to use the spear, so I practice with a small one when I'm home. Which is ALL the time." A mild exaggeration on her part. "I don't see why she can't go with me and let me see beyond this place."

"You just have to become creative when it comes to stretching your legs while you're stuck in the village. It doesn't take a lot to find interesting things to do... well, provided you want to put in the work." She said as she stretched her arms over her head, her many antennae twitching before she looked up at the girl. Ceylinae had done anything to keep from being bored, even going as far as to run laps around the village since that was at least outside even if it wasn't pure freedom. It had been something, which was enough for Ceylinae... though there were still those times that she'd slipped away to get some time to herself. Something she still did even now. As the girl spoke of already knowing what she wanted to use she gave a nod, "I think knowing exactly what we want to do ahead of time, while we are younglings, is rather important to we Elaria." Crossing her arms behind her head Ceylinae said, "It's due to those glowy eyed weirdos, we need to train so that we can toss them off the island. After that we will be able to better enjoy ourselves, without worry of outsiders getting in our way."

A frown appeared on her face but she guessed she could see the logic there. If she was willing to put in the effort she could likely keep herself busy for a while. Akeldama just didn't like that she had boundaries. When Ceylinae mentioned the people with glowing eyes she nodded. "I've heard of them. Ciriet says they are scared of everything so it shouldn't be too hard." And if they really were afraid of things then they could maybe tame some of the local beasts and send them in ahead. It would be a fairly easy thing to accomplish.

A toothy grin appeared on Ceylinae's face at the smaller girl's comment, "Which is why I find much interest in them. I want nothing more then to find one of them, possibly poke at them with a stick, and see if they squeak." She said, rather looking forward to the day when she was able to tease one of those glowy eyed weirdos a bit. It was said that they were afraid of everything and she looked forward to scaring a few of them. It should prove to be a lot of fun! She doubted she could do that right now though, not until she was better trained and someone saw her worthy of carrying a weapon. One of those things she wanted to happen soon but feared they wouldn't ever feel Cey was ready for. Of course all of her fears and worries tended to fall into that realm, with her always fretting over possible failure in the eyes of her sisters and cousins. It wasn't something that she could allow so she really needed to get back to her training. Standing around talking all day wasn't going to help... but at the same time she needed to at least interact with her sisters on occasion so as not to appear as being standoffish. There was a balance that had to be maintained and it drove her crazy at times.

She thought about what Cey said. It would be kinda fun to poke at someone that was scared of everything. The thought made Akel smile and chuckle a little. "Who knows, it could happen sooner than you think." In truth she wanted to sneak out and see if she could find one of those people. Could she scare them even with being as small as she was? "I wonder if they are afraid of each other." If they were then life must be horrible for them. Someone should put them out of their misery if that was the case.

Ceylinae gave a bit of a nod, "Possibly, it all depends on when I head out of the village to seek them out. They are a cowardly lot so it's not as though they would come here." At least she'd hope that they wouldn't be as stupid as all of that. While she wanted to pick on them a bit she doubted it would just be teasing and poking at them were they to come here. Instead it was likely that they would look like a bunch of invaders and sneak thieves, something that would cost them their lives. She wanted nothing more then to throw them all off of Yael and into the ocean, leaving the place to her people, but she didn't want to just slaughter them. Were they to do that then they were likely to whine to the other outsiders, something that would cause them to come here to start trouble. No, just throwing them out felt as though it would be the best way to go about things. Realizing she was deep in thoughts about what the future of Yael should be Ceylinae blinked a couple times, turned to look at the youngling, and gave a thoughtful hum at her musings. "Afraid of each other... I would really hope that they aren't so pathetic as that. Were that the case then I would almost feel bad for picking on them." Almost being the keyword there.

The notion that one of the other islanders would come to their village made her look toward the edge of the settlement. Akel didn't think they would. As far as she knew, or at least from what her mother told her, they didn't have any villages close to them. So there wouldn't be a reason to venture this far. "Well, if one did then I doubt that they would be leaving." The small Elaira made a point. She nodded her head in agreement with Cey. If they were afraid of each other then that would be very bad. Then her musing turned to something else. "I wonder what makes their eyes do the glowy thing.." Was it like a cat's eyes and just reflected light or did they actually produce their own light?
