Job: A couple years back, Noah bought a nice little mom and pop diner off an old couple in the hopes of turning it into his own place. But he's so short staffed you'd never guess he's the owner. He, on any given day, can be seen working as a cook, server, janitor, or bus boy in his establishment.

xxxx⚬ Dabbling: Noah dabbles. He’s a fickle sort and doesn’t stick with many hobbies but he dabbles in this or that or whatever catches his interest for a week, be it classic cars, landscaping, fishing, or interpretive dance. He basically likes anything kinesthetic; He’s best at learning by doing. Right now his obsession is the Robot Fighting League, because, dude, killer robots. Or, more like a lawnmower engine and a circular saw merged in an unholy alliance with several laser pointers. Learning the basics online is taking longer than he thought. His mother is hoping it ends up as a greasy decoration he stacks his mail on. And it will, eventually. All things he builds usually end up as paperweights or on cinderblocks in his friend’s front yard.
xxxx⚬ Hello I am in your club now: Noah, being a responsible adult who totally has a job now, once needed to procure a way to get from point A to point B, and not being bound to obey his parents, purchased a motorcycle because it’s cheaper and fast and efficient and it makes really cool noises when you zoom down the street acting like you’re an invincible badass. Since then he has become a self proclaimed expert on all things motorcycle, and approaches other bike owners in parking lots like he totally is. He has his Honda. He has the unalienable right to look down on Harley owners and bicker about ‘Jap crap’ and smell like fuel exhaust and B.O. on a daily basis and troll discussion forums with his infinite knowledge. And he does, proudly, obnoxiously, and unwaveringly every day like it’s his job.
xxxx⚬ Outdoor Cooking: He’s spent more than his fair share camping and exploring and he still does with moderate frequency, but his true enjoyment isn’t so much from roughing it to the whole experience of the cooking. He’ll make camp food even when he’s at home, because it’s awesome. He likes cooking with fire and grilling in general. It has a certain primal satisfaction to managing to make a decently tasting piece of meat over an open flame, and his passion for it has gotten him to extend his interest to smoking and barbecuing as well. Besides, it’s manly cooking, so it’s totally okay to spend all day in the kitchen preparing your ingredients and making up recipes. Even when he breaks out the Dutch oven and bakes a cake it’s a MANLY cake because it’s a cake made with FIRE, so there.
xxxx⚬ Entrepreneuring: Noah is often regarded in his family as many things from the brat to the baby, but the number one thing he is labeled as is the one Connolly failure. This isn’t quite true. He’s not a big businessman like his father or a doctor like his brother, but he does have his share of success and dedication. One such thing is his investment in his little diner and trying to build it up into a functioning, respectable little business. Taking care of it eats up a lot of free time from fixing it up, to cleaning, to going over wholesale prices to filling in as a janitor or a waiter because he’s not quite at the level where he can afford enough employees yet. It’s his baby, and even though it hasn’t turned a profit yet, he is definitely putting a lot of effort into this baby business, from DIY renovations, pouring over the finances, or just waiting tables.
Virtues:
xxxx⚬ Indiscriminate Social Butterfly: Noah is a social guy and he likes to strike up conversations with anyone and everyone, from little old ladies to six year old kids to that shy, nerdy junior high student. Given his unkempt appearance, that can either end in concerned mothers hurriedly shooing their kids out of his presence and edging away on the bus, or a nice conversation. He doesn’t really mind. He focuses on the percentage that says “Hi!” back and not the one that snubbed him, no matter which is the majority. He’s willing to engage anyone at least once.
xxxx⚬ Cool headded: Noah doesn’t get riled up. He may argue back in a calm and unserious manner, but he’s hard to push into open anger or even to just raise his voice. Pushing him too hard will just lead to silent staring and arm crossing. If you’re that worked up, then he really doesn’t see the point in clashing heads and he tends to just silently wait for those sort of people to either calm down or leave. Not that he’s not unhappy with you, or forgiving. He just doesn’t see the reason to put any energy into lashing out in retaliation. It’s 50/50 laziness and just wanting the altercation to pass that much faster, but his mellow approach keeps him out of trouble.
xxxx⚬ Just the right amount of fun: Noah can be a little infuriating when that mellow attitude makes the outlook for getting anything done pretty bleak, but when he says he’s got it under control, he’s not bullshitting. He often finds pleasure in whatever he does, putting a goofy flair on whatever’s he’s doing. He can come off as light hearted or a procrastinator or just a dumbass, but he does actually systematically work through whatever needs to be done. He’s learned when it’s time to stop putting things off and get it done, and when seriousness is sorely needed rather than just preferred for reassurance.
xxxx⚬ Death before Surrender: Not one to be easily discouraged, Noah especially does not like giving up on anything he committed to. Psh, so Destiny City’s got a little terrorist problem, so what? He grew up here; He’s not leaving no matter how much his mother and common sense urges him to. And just because his little business endeavor has turned into a massive pile of debt due to being beat up in a freak accident (twice!), he’s still going to patch it back up and get to work on making something of it. When the universe says to give up and go home, Noah abandons all practicality and soldiers on to do what he came here for, damn it.
Flaws:
xxxx⚬ Conflict Clinging: Noah’s not very good at letting fights go, verbal or otherwise. He constantly stares up at his ceiling at night wondering what he could’ve said better, insults he could’ve flung instead, what you maybe meant when you said one thing but probably implied something with a possible second meaning and other ridiculousness. And it doesn’t stop at his thoughts. He will gush and analyze for days, weeks, even months if it’s an especially big conflict, to anyone who’ll listen. Even some people who really don’t want to listen but are captive because they’re waiting on their food or stuck next to him on the bus. If Noah’s on one of these kicks, if you’re smart, you’ll avoid him at all costs, because he does nothing but spread his own agony about these things, and they bother him for an incredibly long time.
xxxx⚬ Unaware: Noah doesn’t have a good grasp on how he affects others. He doesn’t realize he stinks after a long bike ride in the sun, he doesn’t realize his appearance might be off putting today, he definitely doesn’t realize he has been dominating the conversation and getting in your personal space the entire time. Sometimes people tell him, but often it brings about an awkward situation where it’s so obvious it’s hard to bring up, because it seems like he SHOULD notice, and might be doing it on purpose to be rude.
xxxx⚬ Doormat: Noah has a hard time saying no, whether he’s afraid of a bad reaction or he just doesn’t want to come off as mean, and avoiding all that negativity often takes priority above the practical. Need a week’s paid vacation? Sure, he’ll give it to you, and then kill himself trying to pick up the slack around the diner. He usually swears he won’t be walked on, manipulated, guilted, not ever again, but he rarely sticks to it and is back to letting people pretty much do what they want as soon as the next request pops up.
xxxx⚬ Fickle: There are few things in life Noah is dedicated to stick with, and you are probably not one of them. Beginnings of friendships are struck up en masse, but few are ever followed through on when he later decides he would rather use his time on something else. Projects are started with little to no thought and abandoned later. Sure, there’s the occasional ‘big thing’ that he puts proper time and thinking into and then sticks out until then end, often long after it’s still practical to do so, but they are the gems he deems worthy and always planned to commit to from the beginning amongst the millions of things he just does without much thought or care to keep himself entertained for a short while before he drops it and moves on.

Squire- A rounded bottle with a cork stopper and tied in charms and leaves.
Magic- Uncorking the bottle sources a a cloud of heavy, dense fog that reduces vision of figures to shadowed outlines up close and blocks vision entirely from max distance. The cloud has a max radius of 7 feet at it's peak and can be sourced for 20 cumulative seconds. Cloud is affected like natural fog by wind, light, and weather conditions.
Knight- A crystal pitcher with ornaments and charms tied around the neck and base.

Alfheim's summon is a bird appearing to have similar size and speed to a small Perlin breed falcon, (Very small raptor weighing about 14 oz) with some elements of a golden eagle and a very prominent serpent eater's beak with which she physically attacks. The object she resides in is currently unknown.

Trivia
xxxxx⚬Education- Noah attended middle school and high school in Destiny City under huge pressure to succeed. He did better in sports in academics, and became a notable player on the high school football team until his senior year when he was expelled. Following that, he obtained a GED and left town to dabble in various careers and majors before eventually earning a degree in hospitality management and a second in business administration with a specialty in finance, both bachelor's degrees earned through on and off schooling spread out for over a decade.
xxxxx⚬Employment- Noah is currently the majority owner, manager, and front of the house personality of the restaurant that sits at 17 Waverly St.
xxxxx⚬Transportation- Noah drives a 2004 Honda VTX 1300C. It's a bit dinged up, but he tries his best to keep it in decent condition. There is a sense of loyalty he has to it, and he'll probably cling to it until it's finally deemed totaled one day. Which might be soon, because he apparently shares his sister's driving skills, meaning he's excellent help if you need help getting somewhere fast and not so much if you want to be in one piece when you get there. He currently has metal pins in his right leg from an unfortunate accident roughly ~6 years ago from such things.
xxxxx⚬Skills and Misc. Education-
Cooking: Noah bakes a mean pie, and that's really all there is to it. He doesn't have too much formal education. Mags, the little old lady he took up the restaurant from, left a metric ton of recipes and his mom is no slouch either. On top of that, he just has a general talent for cooking and baking, although he claims Marco is the culinary mind behind the menu and he only handles the books.
Finances: But besides that, he does have a mind for numbers and balances the books like a boss.
xxxxx⚬Physique and Size- Everyone in the Connolly family is generally big, so Noah being the smallest of his brothers stands at an even 6'0 with some bulk. He played football in his youth and after he ran away from Destiny City spent a lot of time surfing and beach bumming around. Now the majority of his muscles that get put to use are rolling out dough, but the man is still fairly fit.
xxxxx⚬Other Trivia-
Noah spent most of his time outside of Destiny City bumming around the southern Pacific Coast, but has done his fair share of traveling, unable to stay in one spot.
Noah and his business partner Marco met in 1994 and they've been bros ever since as traveling partners and then business partners.
Noah bought Mags off the namesake owner for undisclosed sum of money in 2007 and reopened it in 2008.
While the Connolly family is old money, Noah has lost his inheritance and privilege to the family fortune when he was expelled from school and subsequently left town.
Back in the day Noah exhibited violent tendencies and was an archetypical bully and holy terror to anyone in his way. Since returning to town he is much more mellow and tries to pretend that period of his life didn't exist. Explosive anger is Marco's job now.

17 Waverly St xxxxx⚬17 Waverly: Noah's restaurant was a struggling establishment from another era run by an old couple eager to retire and get the hell out of Destiny City. Which is why it's saddled with such a lametastic name like Maggie's. Except only people that have been going there for years still call it that, usually, especially since it doesn't have any branding whatsoever out front (Noah fails to see the point in spending the money on a new sign when he is so, so out of money.) 17 Waverly is the address, but these days most take it as a fashionable name for the quirky little place.
xxxxx⚬The Style: 17's building style is long and narrow, and the counter runs along most of it to a display case. Take out baked goods are popular, especially since fresh pie and bread made the foundations of the popularity of the food. In the back is the kitchen, and the open area is occupied by booths by the window and a sparse about of tables. There is a waitstaff, but no host to do any seating. They forgot host/ess was even a job position. The checkered floor is classic, but scratched, and the decor is clean and minimalist in pale blues and white. Servers are supposed to be wearing dark pants or a skirt, and a blue button down, but very few follow the dress code. Especially when the boss can't even be bothered to change out of his old concert tees.
xxxxx⚬The Food: To say 17's menu isn't entirely shaped by Noah's personal taste is a flat out lie, The focus on burgers is all his fault. Though more homey dishes from old Mags recipe book are still available and made with expert care. Especially the pie. The pie is a specialty here, and to-go orders often flood the bakery. But it always smells like fresh bread and baked goods here. And there is always enough pie. The burgers are decent as well and the menu boasts a wide range of toppings like jalapenos and feta cheese if you're up for experimenting, and there are enough fried foods to eat to your heart's content. If you want a salad or something light on the calories, though, you may have to look elsewhere. The health conscious generation who wants vegetarian and gluten free options is an era this place has yet to catch up with and requests will usually lead to dumbfounded looks and flailing attempts to accommodate that will probably fail. Because gluten? What's that? Oh... that thing in literally everything we sell here.
xxxxx⚬The Staff: Noah cycles through servers and busboys regularly and the occasional extra cook, but the constant stand bys are himself and Marco, the buddy he went in on this place with. Marco is a tall guy who mans the grill, and will do so 24/7 if he needs to, damn it. He's been buddies with Noah since they dropped out of college together, and is equally scruffy looking. The two usually shout orders at each other across the airspace in insults and less than family friendly language. It is the communication other staff has learned to get used to, ignore, or quit. Most who've been there longer just participate. Of course Marco and Noah don't mean it when they call each other a worthless piece of s**t better left in the alleyway, probably, it's just the language of this particular kitchen. Zia Connolly may be seen partaking in the fray, but she is not an official employee at this time. Marco just calls her the little b***h who keeps stealing from his kitchen.

Sorry, but it's a highly controlled location and is not a viable open RP setting unless one of my characters is involved. It's extremely unlikely all of them would be gone during open hours. However, here is the pertinent information, since it is still a setting used in IC interactions!
Name: Mags (17 Waverly, 17's, etc.)
Building/Setting type: Impeccably manicured landscaping and a newly renovated, quaint little one story building sits on an adjacent corner of Main Street. While the building is nice and open with plenty of windows letting in the sunshine, it has no semblance of branding whatsoever. The sign that announced Mag's Diner was destroyed in one of the many youma attacks that have taken place here, and it was never replaced. However, the address (17 Waverly) is on the door with noticeable lettering.
Street: The corner of Waverly where it crosses Main Street.

Other local landmarks: Adjacent to Electric Dreams where Waverly intersects Main.
Building/Setting purpose: Dine in eatery somewhere between diner and grill with a large baked goods section in the same fashion as Panera or Marie Calendar's chains.
Sells: While they sell a variety of grilled, fried, and baked foods, their specialty is burgers and pie, and classic Americana in general.

Stances xxxxx⚬Factions- Alfheim still doesn't have a great grasp on what makes the factions what they are, and having been attacked by a knight, the waters are muddied further.
He is becoming slowly aware that the Dark Mirror Court is both unpurifiable and is the root cause of his sister's trauma in some way or another, and so they have a very personal connection to a lot of his family tragedy.
That being said, he is aware Chaos is something bad, and that the Chaotic factions gather energy and starseeds at the cost of civilian well being. But he doesn't see the individuals as evil, and is open to discussion with any DMS or Negaverse officer that doesn't seem to have an interest in hurting people. Faction allegiance has little meaning to him, as he fights to protect his small corner of the world and the civilians around him.
xxxxx⚬Corruption/Purification-
Alfheim has no idea how this works or why, just that it is mostly leaving your faction for another. His lack of information leaves him vulnerable to misinformation, although at present he doesn't see any benefit to one faction over the other. Except for the ability to pull starseeds, which he has zero interest in doing.
xxxxx⚬Past Life/Wonders-
Alfheim is really put off by the concept of his knightly bloodline and his ancestor. He has a lot of issues with his family, and te emphasis put on him by a supposedly dignified heritage before he found out there was a magical component to it all too.
He has a bad relationship with his ancestor, who he has made cry on more than one occasion.

Past Life xxxxx⚬The Wonder- The wonder of Alfheim was a calm place. The city was nestled in a naturally defended volcanic valley lush with green. The forest was allowed to grow wild along the edges, creating further defenses from nature. Long swathes of lush green dominated the area, dotted with an alien looking, ethereal white flower indigenous to the valley. The structures of Alfheim were tall, white stone decorated with Celtic carvings and inlays. In the twilight it was heavenly, in the sun, to unacclimated eyes, it could be blinding. The Knight's Tower is the only building with more tactical sense in it's placement, and is a fortress in itself. It was home to the current knight of Alfheim, but also meant to be a refuge should disaster ever reach the city walls.
xxxxx⚬Notable Structures-
Knight's Tower- A tall, whinding building made of fortified stone, this is the tower where Alfheim knight usually lived, sequestered away from the daily grind of society. The windows provided large views of the landscape all the way up the building, and the lower levels were designed to offer the bare necessities to any refugees that were shuffled in during crisis.
The Wall- For supposedly being invested in the natural and the ecosystem around them, the people of the Alfheim city kept their main infrastructure hidden behind a large stone wall. The wall is in ruins now and the iron wrought gate has been twisted and melted and pushed away, allowing for easy access.
Disputed Borders- There's a forest around the southern edge of the city's lands that twists and mangles in a strange fashion. While it is marked and claimed by the Alfheim city there's another family clan that claims it as well, as part of a longstanding rivalry and bitter hatred. It was generally not safe to move around this area.
Past Identity
xxxxx⚬Name: Alatriel, often shortened or nicknamed to one of those many syllables. Sometimes jokingly called Lala by her sisters and others close enough to take note of her cloud cuckoolander personality.
xxxxx⚬Age: 14 at ascension to knighthood, 21 at death.
xxxxx⚬Personality:
Positive: Energetic, excitable, and always positive, Ala rebelled against her restrained and ignorant upbringing by being endlessly eager to meet everyone and see everything.
Negative: Naive, selfish, and flighty, Ala also suffered from just generally not being that well acquainted with the world and underestimated the capability of others to betray or harm her. She was a selfish brat at times, constantly thieving material items for her own curiosity and unable to focus or be serious most of the time.
xxxxx⚬Summary:
Alatriel was a wild child who struggled under her stern aunt to achieve recognition and support in her title claim. Where Tariel oozed competency, Ala was seen as a child still and had trouble being taken seriously.
She did take her duties at her post with the utmost vigor, and obsessed over her responsibilities, or at least how well they were being done since she was constantly fighting her urge to run wild through the galaxy. Ala suffered from wanderlust, and combined with her zeal for the title she held, was constantly torn in two.
When relieved from her post, if only for a day or so, she would blow through town, somewhere, far away. Fight, flirt, love, live, and vanish. She had no time to settle down and pay attention to much else other than her thirst for experiencing life and achieving greatness in her home. She died young, but she lived well.
Alatriel's secret love of fairytales and foreign oddities can still be seen in her quarters in the Knight's Tower in Alfheim. When she befriended others, she usually took reminders or 'borrowed' interesting weapons or books. While she loved freely and frequently, it was pretty likely she actually jus loved your stuff, and was a blatant thief. A collection of her unreturned loot can still be found in a locked trunk near the sleeping area of the Knight's Tower. They were doted on nightly during Ala's lifetime and each parchment and scroll was read frequently and with love.
Just like Alatriel's mentor in her knight days was her aunt Tariel, she is Noah Connolly's aunt. Great, great, many times great, aunt. A male Alfheim hadn't existed for generations in Alatriel's time and she finds her protege utterly baffling, calling him muddled and a variety of other names to announce her displeasure. He is a disgrace to the matriarchy, and she is utterly depressed that the great dynasty of Alfheim has dwindled down to these two dark eyed, muddled children who are apparently not doing so fantastic at life. Where Ala spent her experiences as a page struggling under the weight of the family heritage, she has taken on the role of displeased mentor while Noah struggles beneath her her tutelage.

Family xxxxx⚬Robert Connolly|Father- Noah and Robert have a tense history and no current relationship. Noah is the youngest son from his first marriage and his namesake, and so Noah was Robert's pet project in a way his brothers never were. Corporal punishment was the norm in their household, and from an early age Noah responded to the harsh restrictions by purposely trying to antagonize him. Their home life was uncomfortable and often vicious. Even when Noah started to excel at something, it wasn't anything to do with his academics, which soured their interactions further. Additionally this was during his teenage years, when Robert's affair and subsequent divorce in order to marry his pregnant mistress stressed the nuclear family's structure to it's breaking point. Things came to a head when Noah was expelled and he simply left home. He hasn't contacted Robert since, although he maintains varying relationships with his siblings and mother.
xxxxx⚬Martha Connolly|Mother- An aging woman, Martha was Robert's first wife and one of the reasons Noah managed to find his way back to his hometown. Martha in general grew up in a conservative household and never worked a day in her life, immediately marrying out of high school. When Robert started to find some success in financial law and made his own fortune, in addition to inheriting his father's, she was certain they were living a charmed life. Martha played dumb to her husband's flaws and refused to acknowledge his often blatant affairs until a young model started making accusations and claims. Even still, Martha likely would've continued on in willful ignorance until Robert dissolved the marriage to start a new life with his mistress, and Martha never recovered from the humiliation. She currently lives in an upper middle class suburban home alone with occasional visits from her sons who she wishes would call more often.
xxxxx⚬Matthew Connolly|Brother- Matther is Noah's oldest brother and they are somewhat still in contact. Matthew has always been the more level headed of the two and while he did use family money to put himself through school, he is a doctor and lives comfortably mostly on his own salary. There was a brief period of time when he was also on the family's ostracized list during his mildly controversial marriage to an unemployed woman he met on vacation in Brazil, however, it has generally paled in comparison to other family members' shenanigans and he was welcomed back into Robert's good graces, much to Noah's chagrin. Matthew has two daughters, Eloise (six years old) and Eliza (~13 months) who very rarely get to visit. He doesn't approve of Noah or Zia influencing his girls and would prefer to hide away from his entire family wholesale, but he still talks to Noah via telephone on occasion.
xxxxx⚬Lucas Connolly|Brother- The middle brother of the three Connolly boys, Luke seemed to snap the easiest when the hammer came down and drama ensued. He is openly vicious towards all of his siblings and mirrors quite of bit of Zia's self esteem and body issues. However, early on as a teenager he chose his side in his parents' divorce and does his best to maintain a good relationship with Robert above all other members of his family, which has created a vitriolic and bitter connection between himself and Noah. Still, they maintain contact through silent social media friend requests and following and grit their teeth and bear the other's presence whenever they find each other in the same room.
xxxxx⚬Caroline Hartley|Ex Step-Mother- Noah has a lot of issues with Caroline. Like the fact she had an affair with his father that broke up his parent's marriage. And that this all happened when she was just a few years older than him. And he thinks she's just the dumbest person he's ever met. He sees her at family events from time to time because of her connection to Zia, but he tries his best to avoid communication, since they just end up fighting.
xxxxx⚬Zia Connolly|Half-Sister- Noah has had his ups and downs with Zia. He was a teenager when she was born, and the circumstances surrounding it filled him with a certain amount of resentment he tries to push out of his mind. He did some maturing, though, and eventually did bond with her on a level that wasn't quite siblings, especially considering she was nine and he was in his 20s. There is some contention between them about how that bond was distanced later. A few years back when Noah made his way back to Destiny City they had more good times, with an amiable relationship and lunch every Tuesday. Or they did, until Zia became emotionally distant following the inception of the DMC and then self-destructive. Noah has problems dealing with her sudden shift in personality, unsure of how to handle it and not entirely sure what happened to cause such a change. He tries to keep his distance, convinced he is only ready to talk about it when she is.
