Phina was currently walking to her car, arms full of bags from a busy evening of Christmas shopping. Her list was a little longer this year that it had been in previous years so she decided a start earlier than she usually would, which was generally two weeks before Christmas. She did not know what possessed her to park so very far, or rather walk so very far from where she parked in her shopping, but she had.
The parking garage was still several blocks off and with all the shops closing up and people gone home, she was feeling rather wary about the walk. It would be quicker if she took the alleyway, but she wasn't sure she wanted to risk it. She really shouldn't have shopped so late, but she wanted to take advantage of a chance to shop once her own had closed.
Sighing, she fished some pepper spray from her bag and took to the alley and her feet hurried wanting to get to her car as quickly as possible, barely aware of the fact that she headed down the wrong alley this night.
After a minute a trash can fell over a few feet behind Phina, causing her to spin around eyeing the fallen trash can before shaking her head and continue on though her grip on her pepper spray tightening.

Alfheim had been instructed to practice fighting smallish youma, which he was perfectly fine with exterminating, to figure out what his technique was until he could return to his wonder to ask his ancestor a few questions.
But he had some trouble shaking all of the help that kept trying to follow him, which only lead to annoyance. This was his sister's world, it was like they all just kept screaming at him, and he was just a visitor who needed a chaperone.
But tonight, he had managed to get out there alone, and was feeling quite successful.
He sensed another one nearby, and when he finally found it, it was a little bigger than he expected, but he was big guy and he was in armor, so he figured, yes, he can handle this. But after watching it prowl for a moment, he noticed it was stalking a lady. And Alfheim would've rushed into action for any lady about to be victimized but the second he recognized it was Phina, a specific lady whose specific boobs he wanted to touch, his urgency meter might've kicked up a bit more than he would've been unashamed to admit.
He wasn't brash like Zia. He took his time. He watched and waited and ended up having to strike a little too soon because the thing had to go and lunge at Phina. But it was knocked away in midair when Alfheim rushed in and collided with it shoulder first, and utilizing a handy garbage can lid, executed it right there.
"Are you okay?!" He asked, whirling around to face the redhead.

Phina was feeling more paranoid by the second and she was only, she guess, halfway to her car now. She wanted to turn around and look, but she figured she was only psyching her up and quicken her pace a bit. It didn't do her any good as something decided to jump at her.
She spun around just in time to see someone collide with a youma and dispose of it with a trash can lid. She stood there slightly stunned as youma dusted about and she came face to face with a purple haired stranger. She snapped out of her daze and shook of her bags.
"Yes, Im fine. I love being youma bait. It all the rage this season, didn't you know," she gave a weak laugh. Maybe she wasn't totally fine, but she was physicality okay thanks to the guy.
"Thanks for getting rid of that thing. I probably shouldn't have taken the alley, but I wanted to get to my car quicker. Next time I will remember not to shop so far from it, better yet, I'll go to the mall." She gave another weak laugh looking in her bags briefly to make sure nothing was broken.
"I should probably get to my car now. You don't think there are any more of those youma close by, do you?" She asked not liking the prospect of possibly being nearly or actually attacked again.

Alfheim gave her a worried smile at the joke, not entirely ready to believe she was fine, but at least appreciated she was trying to keep it light, even in spite of a near miss.
Also she was acting weird. But he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Yeah. Heh. Um... I can walk you to your car, maybe?" He offered, and then it hit him. "Phina, you recognize me, right?" No one ever explained glamour to him, it wasn't his fault!

Phina smiled when he said he could walk her to her car, but she frowned deeply when he used her name and asked if she recognized him. She eyed him warily and backed away.
"Recognize you? I've not met many of you er magic people and I've certainly not given any of you my name." If she wasn't freaked before she was now because this person whoever he was clearly knew her and she'd never seen him before in her life.
She took another step back, "look I don't know what you want, but I can walk myself to my own car." She turned and started to walk away determined to get away from this crazy stalker guy who knew her name. She didn't want to play this game and she really hoped her left her alone. She was grateful he saved her from the monster, but she wasn't about to go walking off with strangers who knew her name.

Alfheim suddenly threw up his hands in an 'I give' motion. "Whoa, no, Phina, it's me!"
Why didn't she recognize him? Sure, he was in funny clothes, but it wasn't like his face was covered! He was wide eyed and honestly worried he was going to get a heavy dose of that pepper spray, and it took him maybe a little too long to rationalize powering down to see if that fixed the problem.
Or did achieving epic destiny give everyone who ever knew you amnesia?
Still not letting his arms down because he was honestly terrified to make a move in front of her, he powered back down to his jeans and hoodie, hoping to god she'd remember him. Who didn't recognize someone's face when it was plain as day?!

Phina turned eyeing the guy, irritation plain on her face. She gripped her pepper spray a little tight momentarily having forgotten she even had it. "I'm warning you," she threatened, even though he had his hands up and didn't seem to actually be trying to hurt so much as possibly really annoy her.
She expression took on a gobsmacked one when the stranger before was suddenly Noah. Her eyes were seriously wide and the first thing out her mouth was, "I thought you said you weren't a mini skirted warrior. Looked pretty mini skirted to me Noah."
She gave him a serious frown, but the tension let her body and she put away her pepper spray. She looked him over curiously and gave him a poke, "Why is it I couldn't recognize you before. I mean you look the same, I think. This magic stuff is seriously confusing."
She crossed her arms bags hanging and waited for an explanation.

"It's kind of a recent development," Noah said with a cringe, though he let his arms drop when she looked less like she was going to pepper spray him. He powered up again, looking himself over and back to her, looking outright bewildered.
"Do I really look like a different person?"
Aaaand back down to Noah again. "I don't know, it happened last Monday. And apparently it's... genetic." Yes, tell the lady you were trying to get in bed with you're a magical genetic freak, good job, Noah.
And then his face flushed red and he frowned, clearly offended. "It is not a skirt!"

Phina watched as he became Alfheim, but this time she knew it was him, so he didn't look different. It was odd and made her wonder why she didn't recognize him before.
"No, you don't look any different really. I still couldn't recognize you before I don't know why. Maybe you should ask someone about that, seeing as this is a recent development."
She had to say she much preferred Noah's jeans and hoodie, oddly enough, to the strange clothes he'd been wearing moments before. "Wait, what. Did you say genetic, as in run in families? Are you trying to tell me you not the only one in you family ... you sister isnt it? Run around at night wielding a bat and taking out youma, didn't look like she had some crazy outfit though, so maybe not."
Phina laughed lightly, "it looks like a skirt to me Noah, or maybe a dress. Either way it kind of makes you look like a girl and definitely no one from the 21st century."
She smiled and motioned to her bags, "going to help me with these? I thought you were going to walk me to my car."
Phina got over the fact that Zia was a bat wielding crazy, she could get over the fact that Noah was a skirt wearing magic person. As long as it didn't mean hanging out with him got her attacked by youma all time, not that he couldn't save her she guessed, but who wanted to be attacked all the time.

"Oh, god no, Zee's... uh... human." Sort of. "It's a one per generation thing. And, trust me, I already heard a lot of s**t about how my sister would be preferred to me," He scoffed and blew a few strands of hair that fell in his eyes when his magical headpieces vanished from keeping his hair out of his face.
He frowned so hard at the teasing, though. "It's not a skirt!" He complained. "It's like, it's a tunic. And pants." Tight pants. "I don't get choose what it is, okay?!" He paused and looked at her bags, half tempted to tell her to forget it if she was going to tease him.
But he really wanted to get past first base with Phina, okay?
So yes, he picked up those bags and totally helped her to her car.

Phina felt a chill roll down her spine, she couldn't help, but to bulk at the idea that anyone wanted to be involved in all the nighttime madness she was seeing lately. She thought Zia should be happy and quite thankful it wasn't her, but when Phina thought about it, she kind of a tiny bit wished it was too. Only just a tiny bit.
"That's crazy talk. You won't catch me trying to be whatever it is you are. No offence, but I'm not exactly cut out for such things." She gave a small slightly haughty laugh. Truthfully, she was pretty physically fit, how could she not be running around in heels all the time. She also exercised, Pilates, but it was exercise none the less.
She laughed again at Noah's complaining and put a hand on her arm, giving him a wink. "I'm only teasing Noah. I run a boutique and go to several fashion weeks. I know what a tunic is. You look cute, some what like a knight. One who rescues lovely red headed damsels."
She happily went with Noah to her car, not really scared or wary anymore. His little secret worked wondered to ease her nervousness. At the car she smiled, putting the bags in the trunk. "So how long does this running around after dark thing last because I could really go for some apple pie right about now?"

"I... it..." Noah stammered a bit when she put it in the context of him being a knight rescuing pretty damsels like herself and needed a second to regain composure.
"We could hit the diner, maybe?" He suggested, trying to change the subject before she pointed out he was acting like a little boy living in a fantasy with a crush. It was embarrassing.
"I mean, it's closed right now but I might know the man with the keys," He added with a stupid grin.

Phina grinned at making Noah stamper. Noah amused her and she couldn't help but to think he was so cute. At the mention of the diner she nodded her grin still and place.
"If you know the man with the keys than we should go," she said with a small wink.
She went over to the drivers side and hopped in motioning for Noah to get in as well. "And here I thought thought the damsel was suppose to reward the knight. Not that I'm about to turn down pie."
She gave a small laugh and turned on the car wondering if she had yet to inform Noah that Lily had returned to her own home. Maybe she'd mention it later.
