The Hostess

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Name: Mercy Haynes

Nickname: Her father often calls her “Oh Mercy Me,” as a joke on her name

Age: 16

Birthday: April 2nd

Sign: Aries

Gemstone: Diamond

Blood Type: O+

Favorite Food: Pop-rocks and soda (she likes the tingly feeling)

Hated Food: Boiled Spinach

School: Crystal Academy

Hobbies:

Tea-Parties: While some might consider 16 a bit old to be throwing tea-parties with any sort of consistency, Mercy has never given them up. She sees no reason why Sir Fuzzington and Lady Floppymuffin can't sit at the table and share a cup of tea with her. Granted, now she's upgraded to actual tea, and is absolutely thrilled when she can rope legitimate people into her soirees (like her brothers or her father).

Collecting Unicorns: Mercy -LOVES- unicorns. If it has a unicorn on it, she will buy it – or make her father buy it. She will barter, beg and bargain to attempt to get a new unicorn for her collection. It doesn't matter if it's a stuffed animal or a ceramic show-piece. If it's a horse with a horn on its head – she wants it NOW.

Reading: Mercy is well-read, and spends a lot of time in her room reading stories. Her favorite are fairy-tails and fantasy stories about brave knights and princesses. In fact, often times her tea-parties become impromptu book-discussions, granted Sir Fuzzington only reads the latest military novel and Lady Floppymuffin isn't fond of anything but romance, so they really aren't the best conversationalists when it comes to books that Mercy likes.

Virtues:

Optimistic: Mercy often looks on the bright side of life. She would rather look at the up-side of things than dwell on how things may not be going according to plan. She tends to view mistakes and failures as learning experiences, and tends to file them away for later. That's not to say she doesn't have her low points. A really big failure, or a very long string of bad things happening – can easily deflate her optimism for a bit. A big factor for her "always-look-on the-bright-side-of-life" attitude comes in no small part from her father and mother spoiling her rotten. Her view is colored to expect good things to happen, and to think otherwise is silly.

Compassionate: Much like her name states – Mercy has a lot of... well... Mercy when it comes to people – and it tends to show in the form of compassion. She will very often go out of her way to make people feel better, even if it means giving up her own time or things to do so. There are limits to this – she won't be pawning her EXTENSIVE collection of unicorns any time soon. But she is inclined to take care of others, and feels bad when a situation doesn't allow her to do so.

Polite: Mercy tries to be polite and well mannered as much as she can. That's not to say she doesn't slip up – especially at home around her brothers. But otherwise, she tries her best to say please and thank you and the other social niceties. She may not always succeed – and its usually a good sign that's she's really comfortable around you if she forgets to be super-polite, but she still tries anyway.

Flaws:

Saccharine: Mercy is sweet – perhaps, too, sweet. She tends to think that the best way to make friends is to be super-sweet and kind and energetic with everyone, often not taking into account that this can come off as really, really annoying or super grating on the nerves. She also tends to abuse this with her father and other authority figures to try and get her way.

Spoiled: Mercy rarely doesn't get what she wants, especially from her father and mother – most of the Haynes children are spoiled, but of them Mercy is the worst. Not that she tends to go overboard with her requests – like asking for a pony for her birthday or something equally ridiculous – but a good portion of her more expensive unicorn pieces are the results of badgering daddy and mommy into buying them for her, since she'd never afford them on her allowance. She is used to getting her way, and can throw a fit sometimes if she can't get her way.

Impressionable: When Mercy latches onto a role-model she wants to be JUST LIKE THEM. She's easily impressionable, and will follow their actions and advice almost to the letter most times. That's not to say that she doesn't think for herself when she's “adopted” a mentor – just that her thinking is clouded by what she thinks they would do.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Grey, round.

Hair: Rust-red, usually kept in a ponytail.

Face: Heart-shaped face, no freckles, small ears.

Skin: Mocha-brown, with a hint of lighter tones.

The Tactician

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Senshi: Super Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics
Challenge: "My plans with defeat you!"

Sailor Scout Attack: Tactical Insertion

Sabine touches an ally and give them a short command (no more than a sentence, i.e. “Run to that lamp post!” or “Sprint to that wall!”) to go somewhere within 5 feet. As long as the ally obeys her order and heads to specified location, they cannot be seen or heard by the enemy until they arrive at their destination. If they run into someone, the magic is broken and they can be seen. The magic is also broken if they deviate from the command given (walk instead of run, go left instead of right, etc.). Sabine must touch an ally within 30 seconds or forfeit the use of her ability.

  • Pros:
Can get people where they are needed in a fight.
Keeps people from being seen or heard – allowing for mid-fight ambushes.
  • Cons:
Short Duration – “Invisibility” and “Silence” only last as long as directions are followed and everything goes according to plan.
Things might not go according to plan.
  • Use:
    Three times a fight.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Tactical Shift

Sabine touches up to two allies and gives them a command (no more than a sentence, i.e. “Run to that lamp post!” or “Sprint to that wall!”) to go somewhere within 8 feet. As long as the ally obeys her order and heads to specified location, they cannot be seen or heard by the enemy until they arrive at their destination. However, they can still be touched (which will break the magic) and are still able to be hit by AOE attacks. Sabine must touch an ally within 45 seconds or forfeit the use of her ability.

  • Pros:
Gets allies out of harm’s way.
  • Cons:
Short Duration – “Invisibility” and “Silence” only last as long as directions are followed and everything goes according to plan.
Things might not go according to plan.
  • Use:
    Three times a fight.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Tactical Strike

Sabine focuses on up to three allies and gives them a command to attack a single target ("The Officer with the Red Hat!" - there must be some sort of descriptor, the more specific the better, but it can't be longer than one sentence. As before it is a spoken command.) These allies remain unseen and unheard by the target for up to a minute, however, once they are within five feet of the target, the magic dispels and they are visible again. The magic also dispels if they move beyond 10 feet from Sabine. If the allies chose to not attack the marked target, the magic also dispels. The magic will also dispel if they are attacked by another enemy, or if another enemy alerts the target to their location. Sabine must chose an ally within one minute or forfeit the use of her power.

  • Pros:
Generate a quick micro ambush on a single high profile target.
Allow allies to reposition themselves on the battlefield to better take down a single high power enemy
  • Cons:
Short Duration – must move into position and attack quickly.
Can be seen my other enemies and have their target warned.
  • Use:
    Once a fight.

The Family

Father: Samuel Haynes [43] - My daddy is a lawyer - a pretty good one too. He is a partner at his firm and tries to make sure we get everything we want, but it's hard cause he's not around a lot because of work. I know he wouldn't do his job if he didn't enjoy it, but sometimes I wish he'd stay home more often...

Mother: Annabelle Clayfield Haynes [41] - My mom works from home - she's an author and spends a lot of her time in her office writing. She does take the time to help us if we need it though, especially because daddy is so busy at his job. She found a publisher for her book and is currently working on it's sequel.

Brother: Johnathan Haynes [20] - My older brother spends a lot of his time out of the house with his girlfriend, not that I mind. He really doesn't share any of my interests and would rather make my life miserable than do anything nice for me. He plays football, but I don't think he's very good. Though he could be if he spent more time practicing than hanging out with his girlfriend. He's going to attend DCU in the fall on a football scholarship - so I guess he's not completely terrible...

Brother: Nathaniel Haynes [11] - My little brother can be annoying sometimes, but he does tend to go along with what I want to do. It was hard not being the baby in the family when he was born, but I've mostly gotten over that (though I won't tell mom and daddy that cause then I wouldn't get such great Christmas presents).
