Sabine had spent some time in her dorm room exploring the crystal while her roommate had been asleep. She had found it relatively harmless as Caedus had said, but that was not why she was making her way back to where she had seen the stranger the night before. No, other applications of the crystal had come to her mind, and she had questions.

Questions she needed answers to before she attempted to go through with anything she might decide to do.

Landing near the place she had seen him rest the night before, she cleared her throat and called out in a soft, low tone. "Uhm, excuse me, Caedus, sir, are you busy?"

She did not know what this alien entity could be doing with his time. But, she prided herself on her ability to be polite, so it only stood to reason that she should extend the same courtesy to him as she would any other person.

The manners were appreciated; Caedus was still atop the hill, though what he was doing specifically was not entirely clear. He had been sitting on the ground and looked almost lifeless until he heard her voice. Then, he rose, not unlike an old man. His movements were tired and jerky, like rusted machinery. He made no effort to brush himself off. He simply turned to face the voice and watched with curious golden eyes.

"I am not." He said only that; others had come, with a specific reason or question. He expected she had one, too, and waited for her to speak.

His movements were... offputting... to the young senshi, but she did her best to not let it show. Instead, Sabine bowed her head and gave a proper curtsey.

"Hello, sir, I am Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics," She began, introducing herself to the stranger for the first time. "I was at the meeting last night." She said with a small nod. "But I kept silent, as I contemplated what you offered us." She would not deny that a chance to strike at the heart of the Negaverse was a very tempting offer.

"That being said," She said, reaching the reason for her visit. "I have some questions about the crystals you gave us, if you do not mind me asking?" She produced the one she had been given, holding it in her gloved hand. It already contained some of her energy, what little she had given it the night before as she had toyed with in in her dorm.

"Mainly, its uses on people other than myself."

He glanced down to the crystal she held out and nodded. "I do not mind answering questions about the crystals. You may ask freely. What would you like to know about them and their uses on others?"

He did not seem offended by the question; in fact, talking about the crystals seemed to relax him. But, he had carried them with him for the entire duration of his imprisonment. They were not only useful, they were sentimental to him, as well.

"If I were to give this crystal to a normal human being, say, any person off the street, provided they were perfectly healthy, would it just immediately start to gather energy from them?" Sabine asked, deciding to just dive into the thick of it. "You said you needed Energy, and that humans were the best source..."

But therein lay the question. Was this thought process of her ethical. Was it right?

"These crystals, will they take energy from an unwilling source? Also, how much can they hold? I wouldn't want to break it by gathering too much..." Or pouring too much of her own into it, should it require complete willingness on her part.

"I just... want to make sure we're doing the right thing."

Caedus watched her for a second and he seemed hesitant. He almost turned away, but finally shrugged just a bit. "The crystal cannot differentiate between a willing donator or a forced one. It does not have the capacity to know what is donated and what is stolen. It is a tool. It is up to you to use it I the right way. It depends on what you think is right on how you use it. Certainly you could take so little energy from a hundred people you pass that they would not notice, but you would have a good little collection. But you do not need to fear the crystal breaking: it cannot break. They are capable of holding a great deal of energy—far more so than I think anyone can collect in the next few days. But when they are full, they simply stop collecting. The more energy they collect ,the whiter they turn. If that helps."

Sabine allowed herself to relax then, and looking down at the crystal felt her lips turn into a small smile. So, it really was just a question of personal ethics. Was she willing to do whatever it took in order to ensure they had as much energy as possible to help Caedus? This would require more introspection on her part.

She already knew part of her answer. That tactical necessity sometimes trumped what was right. She'd read as much. Turning her attention back to Caedus, she allowed her smile to continue, as she curtseyed again.

"Thank you, sir, for answering my questions. I'm sure you've gotten asked a lot of them... Is there anything I can do to help you be more comfortable here? Something that might remind you of home? Or your family?"

She knew what it was like to be homesick. It was a feeling she'd felt often ever since she started boarding at Crystal Academy. She missed her home and family a lot - even if they weren't hard to visit.

She couldn't even begin to imagine what it might be like for him.

The last question seemed to be difficult for him; his eyes lowered to the ground and he let out a tired sigh. "That, I do not know. The things that remind me of home cannot be found on Earth. But I will be home soon enough. For now, company is enough. I am not proud to admit that my time spent in the Rift greatly clouded my opinion of Earth. I forgot the simple marvels. The grass. The weather. The people, even. I do not mind the questions. It is nice to speak again."

He reached up to massage at his throat. "I hope to improve before returning home. I will be quite the sorry sight if I do not. I would not wish them to see me like this."

Of course nothing on Earth would be like his home! Sabine wanted to facepalm at how foolish she had been, but still, she couldn't let it get her down. He was a guest to their planet, and as such needed to be treated with courtesy and respect. With a small nod she took a few steps closer.

"Well I have a bit of time before I need to be anywhere today, is there anything about Earth you'd like to know? You answered all my questions, I would be more than happy to answer any of yours." It was the least she could do, really.

"Also, that Rift place sounds completely awful and I'm sorry you got stuck there." She added - a small platitude surely but... it was the best she could do given the circumstance.

Caedus seemed to shudder upon deeper reflection of the Rift; he nodded. "It is awful. It must be destroyed. I fear, one day, the Negaverse will be strong enough to claim the entire earth. It would be a shame to lose this planet. I hope it can be saved."

He sighed, but it was not a topic he wanted to dwell upon. "I would like to think that Earth is a better place than I remember. I would like to think of this," he looked around. "The trees. The grass. The sky. The good things. Instead of the Rift. What do you like about it?" he asked, then. "What about your planet is worth saving? What is worth loving, here? That you value most?"

Sabine shivered a bit at the thought of losing the planet to the Negaverse. That would not be a world she wanted to live in. Granted, she might be atypical, and be more than willing to let the Negaverse be, provided they were willing to stop attacking the innocent, but she had a feeling such ideals were not going to come to pass without dealing them a mighty blow. Sometimes you couldn't sue for peace until the enemy was on their last legs after all.

At his question, however, she took a moment to think, tapping her lips with her right index finger as she hummed to herself for a moment. "I won't say Earth is perfect. We've got plenty of problems... War, hunger... I'd like to think we're figuring stuff out still, but sometimes news is just depressing."

Realizing she wasn't making a great case for saving Earth she quickly continued.

"But there is a lot of good stuff too. Music, Art, Literature, Film... Culture as a whole. We're making huge strides in equality and maybe if things go well we will become more peaceful as a whole..." She said to Caedus with a small smile.

"More than that though, it's our home. We may not be the best, but we're trying and we're learning as we go. We're working on trying to put Nature first again - there's a huge movement to try and clean up the Earth. So I guess you could say we're learning from our mistakes."

His last question though, really hit home. "But what I value most isn't any of that. It's my family and friends. The people I care about. Sure it's probably selfish, and immature. But, they are the most precious thing on this planet to me. I would do anything it took to keep them safe and happy." She said with a small nod.

"I mean, I could go on about my collection of Unicorns and love of tea parties, but, I'm sure it wouldn't interest you very much."

This answer seemed to please Caedus; he nodded. "I like your optimism. You should not feel selfish for valuing people closest to you. But you are mistake in what interests me. I did not have the opportunity to meet many senshi. I would like to know as much as I can of them. I find the concept of so many in one place fascinating. That you all live here, on this planet. Does this mean…"

He pondered the thought. "…Have you lost all of your homeworlds? I have heard some mention of things, but…I admit, I have not quite stopped to ask. Why are you all here? Why not out in space, protecting your homeworlds? If…" he mulled over this thought for a second and then added, "If that is not too personal a question. If it is…I would like to hear about your unicorns and tea parties, instead."

Sabine was confused for a moment, but tried not to let it show. Homeworlds...? She'd been born on Earth it was really the only planet she knew. She didn't quite understand his question, but at the same time, she knew that she wasn't as educated as she might be. There were more senshi out there with more experience than her. After another moment of thought she finally spoke.

"It's not a personal question, because, I honestly don't know. I'm fairly new at this. The only place I've been off the planet is the moon and even that took my breath away..." She turned a bit more toward Caedus now, her fingers worrying the hem of her skirt as she spoke. "As far as my homeworld... Earth is the only planet I really know. I was born here. I consider myself human, even if maybe I'm not entirely..."

Her fingers plucked at the hem of the skirt and then let the fabric drop. It would stand to reason her powers came from somewhere - magical talking cats were not native to Earth as far as she was aware (she could be wrong) - and another planet made as much sense as anything else her mother might have come up with in one of her books.

Letting out a long sigh she added. "I'm sure you noticed last night, during the meeting... But our... group, if you could call it that, is very... disjointed." Her teeth worried her bottom lip for a moment before she continued. "There really isn't any formal leadership - or at least nobody has stepped forward to try and unite the clans, so to speak. Us new senshi are pretty much thrust into this active war zone with little knowledge to speak of - just as much as the cat that awakens us are willing to tell us. I don't know how it is for others... My cat was pretty nice and he told me a fairly decent amount... But if it hadn't been for the other, more experienced Senshi I met... I wouldn't even know where to start."

She busied herself for a moment on the pretense of straightening her fuku before she continued.

"So, our homeworlds are... probably lost... I would suspect - since as you said, we are here and not there." She gave him a small, sad smile. "Perhaps one day I'll figure out where mine is and go visit it. I mean - if we can visit the moon why not other planets?" She gave a small shrug at that. "But my main concern is this planet, and keeping the people here safe from harm on it."

She tried her best to maintain eye contact with Caedus if he would let her, but respected his wishes if he wished to look else where as she continued. "I'm only 14, young by most people's standards. But I'm willing to put everything on the line if it means keeping this place - my home - safe from danger."

Letting out a breath she didn't' realize she was holding, she managed to crack a small smile to the cloaked stranger.

"As far as unicorns and tea parties... Well..." A small giggle slipped past her lips, one that she tried to stifle a bit. "Unicorns are... uhm... fictional horned horses... An animal... I'm not sure if this translates well, I don't even know if you know what a horse is..." She felt her self stumbling but she stopped herself. "But, they're a symbol of purity and innocence and protection. I think they're really pretty... So I collect them, well, images of them anyway. Figures, paintings, drawings... If it or has a unicorn on it I want it."

"Tea parties though, are all about being social. It's about being a good hostess and having a good time with people over a nice cup of tea. Discussing books and the weather and just... Things in general." She looked back out over the city. "I enjoy them because they give me an excuse to invite people to just relax and enjoy themselves. I don't think there's anything better than sharing social time with friends."

Turning her attention to Caedus again, she smiled. "Do you have anything like that back home? Any hobbies or fantastical creatures?"

She was a bit curious now, but she wouldn't press him if he declined to respond she decided. He was after all - a guest.

Caedus nodded as he listened. Loyalty to a planet you spent all your life on was logical—especially if they were all still so new to the whole Senshi thing. They looked young—acted young. They were still learning. They hadn't had time to grow into the role.

"Do not lose faith in your homeworlds. I think there is still time. Perhaps they are not the same as they were, but that only means they have room to grow. But if you have no drive to visit such a place, you do not have to. Sometimes it is enlightening to see other worlds. Dead or alive, you learn things you could never have imagined. Perhaps something on your world can help you protect this planet?"

But she was only fourteen.

That was so very, incredibly young.

It took him time to even wrap his mind around the number.

But it made sense, when she spoke. There was an innocence about her—one that only came with youth. He listened to her description of unicorns and tea parties, and though his face was hidden, his eyes softened. It almost seemed like there was a smile underneath all that shadow.

"What is fantastical to me might not be fantastical to you. I have seen many things. Horned horses are not so spectacular a thing. I have seen one with crystal bones and horn, and ones with scales. Ones that breathe fire, and ones that walk on rainbows. Or," he paused, and gave her a side eyed look ."So I have heard."

He shrugged. "Our hobbies usually include research. We strive to improve everything. Learning is a hobby. Learning to make things. How things work. Tea parties sound nice, though."

Sabine seemed to flounder for a moment at his first statement, bringing her hands up in front of her and waving them defensively.

"No, No I didn't mean that I don't want to visit there... I was just... unaware that I could go there. I didn't even know we could go to the moon till an older senshi showed me... and the Moon is AMAZING. So I can't even begin to think of what a different planet would be like!"

Her mind was already reeling at the thought of exploring a whole new world. She would have to sit and plan it out if she ever did go - just so that she didn't spend too much time there and worry her family and friends.

As he continued though, she smiled. "I would very much like to visit your homeworld, sir, if horned horses are normal." She said with a cheerful giggle. "Earth is pretty... unfantastical... really. It's a nice place though." She said with a small nod.

At his hobbies she nodded her head. "Learning is a good hobby to have! I'm trying to learn as much about tactics as I can... being the Senshi of Tactics and all..."

"If you're really interested in a tea party, maybe I can see you again before you leave? I can bring some tea and snacks and we can just talk... If you're not too busy?"

She didn't know what sort of preparations he needed to make and she didn't want to take up too much of his time if he had other things that needed to be done.
