She was trying to get better at things, spend more time out patrolling, and she thought this was a good start to it. She'd been coming into the city, powered up, more often lately but she hadn't gotten into many fights. Maybe she should be getting into more fights but did she really need to? She was still trying, she just wasn't running into anything aside from that large youma the other evening...

She thought she was at least putting in a good amount of effort, fights or not, she was still doing things. Tonight was like most other nights, no fights, but she was walking down the street near her former high school. Red heels clicked on the ground while her hands rested at her sides, a sway to her hips causing her dress to sway back and forth, as she looked around. She didn't sense anything, or anyone, and she saw no people so she was safe so far - right?

Stopping under a street light she pondered which way to go, closer to her former school, or perhaps toward downtown?

She hated having to lie through her teeth to her roommate - but it was the only way to slip out of the dorms anymore. That said, Mercy had found a safe place to power up far enough away so as to hopefully not draw any undue attention to the school. She usually started her patrols nearby - just to make sure nothing would be there to great her when she returned home.

Sabine, now powered up, was immediately drawn to the order signature nearby. She didn't know any other people that patrolled out this way - but then again, she usually went straight to go meet Phact, so she rarely looked very hard. Maybe this was a good chance to meet more people!

Turning toward the signature, she started toward it, hopefully they would meet her in the middle?

It wasn't easy to pin point the senshi of vampires from patrol to patrol as she didn't have specific places she went and haunted every night. She was rather random in where she would appear, which she supposed was a good thing. it left her open to meeting new people but also made it hard to plan where she'd be in case someone decided they wanted to harm or kill her. She wasn't going to make it easy to hunt her down, why should she?

What she wasn't expecting was to suddenly feel another order aura and she shifted. Looking around as if she could figure which way they were coming from. She was hoping to spot them before they reached her though, rather than be taken completely by surprise and turn around to find a face full of person. "I wonder who.." She whispered into the darkness. She knew so few that she was fairly certain it would be someone she didn't know, a chance to make a friend.

Sabine had several set routes she ran - she had yet to really encounter anything worse than a youma. She honestly hoped it stayed that way, though she wasn't about to hold her breath. Odds were eventually she'd have to fight for her life - Phact had made it clear this was not an easy life. All the same, she was leery of going off a routine. She would likely change her route up the first time she met actual resistance - but it was hard to tell.

Her magic was - suffice it to say - useless in a solo encounter. It was a risk to go alone at any time. All she had was her own hands and feet, and she wasn't particularly skilled at either of those. Her parents had never really seen it fit to enroll her in any sort of self defense class. Jonathan had not been rough with her for fear of grounding - and Nathaniel had always rough housed with Jonathan.

She was starting to really regret such an idyllic childhood.

Still, at the potential of meeting another member of their side, well, she'd be a fool to pass up the opportunity. The more she met, the more likely she could come to work with them in the future!

That said, when she noticed the figure wasn't moving any closer on its own accord she slowed her pace. Maybe they were just waiting for her... or for someone else?

Finally her dark blue eyes locked on the new figure approaching her, and than stopping, and the senshi of vampires moved toward them slowly. They seemed young, even at a distance they seemed to be young to her, though she could be wrong.

"Evening!" Calling out she raised one hand, a ruffled sleeve falling up her arm, or down perhaps, as her hand was lifted into the air to wave toward the younger appearing senshi. When she let her hand fall back to her side she was smiling toward them as she continued in her own approach.

Unknown to the senshi of vampires they both had a similar life, neither had needed to learn to fight or defend themselves. In fact, if she asked now or her parents found out it would be a very odd thing and something for her to explain somehow. They didn't live in the city so she couldn't claim the need for safety in the city when out at night, perhaps safety while on campus but...that she felt would be stretching it. She could find a way though perhaps. Her parents might just offer her mace in stead and tell her to take that with her, and question her if she continued with self defense classes. She had pondered the idea, and still was, she just hoped she could do something to better herself - she needed to. Maybe this senshi, young as they may be, could help?

Ah, she'd been seen good! The voice sounded friendly to Sabine, so she wasted in no time in meeting the other woman as quickly as she could. When she got close enough, she smiled and gave the other female a quick, polite, curtsy. "Hello, I'm Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics."

She rose slowly from the curtsy with a smile. "Might I inquire as to your name, miss?"

Polite first impressions. Always important.

Laughing she smiled and reached out to pet the others hair gently. "It's good to meet you. I'm Sailor Nephthys, senshi of vampires." She knew that last part, her sphere, might creep the girl out and she could understand if it did. it had seemed to do that with another senshi, the senshi of tornadoes. Though to be honest the idea of a tornado scared her, she never wanted to be in a state that had them and get caught in one.

"You're young...sorry, just an observation...but you are." She said lightly.

"Are you new to this whole war?" She asked, wondering if this one might know more than she did, and sort of now hoping that the other didn't, that she'd had a normal life and was very new to this as it meant more time to living a normal life.

Sabine did not know weather to be flattered or annoyed. She was not used to having her hair pet - Phact treated her as an equal for the most part, and the only other creature that had pointed out her age had been terrifying in its own right.

Vampires though? Huh, interesting.

"I'm 14," Sabine allowed, bowing her head a bit and trying to stand as tall as she could with her just barely 5' boot assisted height. Her face still showed her age - but her body was well on its way to maturing, the curves of womanhood well on their way in formation with her B-sized bust.

"As far to being new to the war... Relatively - but I've seen my fair share of action." She said with a nod. "I've been focusing on trying to get to know more about our side though, than anything else."

She was 14? Oh! She really was little, not that she didn't look young but still that young?! She wanted to bring the little girl close to herself and hug her, like someone might a little sister, but she didn't think it would be much appreciated as they didn't know each other very well.

"Like wise, I have seen a few things though not much." She was still fairly new to this all herself and she knew it would show in a battle. She knew in a battle she would flop and fail, how could she not? She'd never learned self defense and had no confidence in whatever kicking and hitting she could do.

"That's a good idea, to make friends on our side where you can as well. I've been trying to make friends on our side...but I think it's not working really well." she said, clearly upset by this fact. She wanted to make friends within this war, so she didn't feel alone and had people she could talk to about it.

"it wouldn't be odd for a twenty year old to want to be your friend...would it?"

Sabine laughed a bit, covering her mouth with her hand. "Hardly, one of my closest friends I met while patrolling and she's in her 20s..." Or at least she thought she was - she was at DCU now so she could only assume so. "So I see no problem with it!"

Frankly she wanted all the allies and friends she could get. People that would be able to look for her if things went poorly and she were captured. People to watch her back on a patrol. People who might try and help bring some unity to the city.

"In fact most of the people I meet are older... I really haven't met anyone around my age yet..."

"That's good! At least it won't feel odd." She said happily, she looked rather cloud to bouncing in her heels actually. "I'm hoping to make a lot of friends and I'd like to be friends - us." She said smiling. She wouldn't mind also acting like the others older sister if she could somehow, maybe that was due to having no siblings of her own but she didn't think on it long enough to care.

"I don't know...it might be rare to find ones so young...I've met only one who was really young before." She said slowly, thinking back on everyone she'd encountered. "I really hope that most involved aren't really young, younger than you." That would be...tragic really.

"But, if you and I are both looking for friends than we must be friends." She said smiling and holding out a hand.

"I would hope not either, but I guess only time will tell for sure." Sabine said in response to the other woman's hope that there weren't any younger senshi out there. Who knew? She'd just been approached out of the blue by the cat, she hadn't known at all what was going on until it had happened. Still, it was something to think about.

Turning her attention back fully to Nephthys, she took the other woman's hand firmly in her own. "Of course, friends!" She said with a smile.

"That said, what would you like to do tonight, friend?"

"Indeed, time and experience with others." Then they could ask others and encounter others and find younger children...perhaps, she really hoped not.

"Well, how about we continue a patrol around here, I add your number to my phone and you add mine to yours. We can arrange more nights like this. But for tonight - patrol together and then bed." She wasn't about to stay up, and out, all night. She had school and at fourteen the other did as well.

"That sounds good?"

Sabine nodded and quickly called her phone to her so that she could swap numbers with the other Senshi. It was a really nifty device, and she had a very small number of names and numbers in it. She was hoping to rectify that shortly though.

"That sounds like a very good plan to me. Hopefully I'm not out too long and my roommate doesn't suspect that I'm doing anything crazy. Or out of my age range." She laughed a bit at that.

"But I digress, a quick patrol would be a good thing I think, if nothing else."

Calling her own phone to herself she unlocked the screen and pulled up her contacts, something she wasn't about to show the younger due to it's lack of...well contacts. "Ok, so what's your number?" She asked right before giving her own number to the girl, rattling it off in a show of good memory as she didn't often do this.

"I hope not, we won't keep you out too long then." She said laughing at the other softly. "We'll have to do this more often though." To keep the other safe plus if they were friends than they needed to patrol together often!

"Yes, and next time we'll start early and we'll start together as well, rather than meeting toward the end of your patrol and the middle of mine." She said with a smile and fingers running through the curls her hair was put into every time she powered up, oh how she missed her straight hair.
