Sabine sat on the bench in her favorite park. She was reaching a point where she wasn't sure what she was going to have to start telling her roommate at Crystal. She kept leaving the dorm before curfew and getting back WAY after. Sooner or later she was sure the other girl would suspect something was up. She was going to have to find a way to make an alibi. Maybe lie and say she went home to visit her parents.

That might work. She'd just have to stop by for a little while before she went on patrol - that was all.

Still, she'd rather not have to deal with it. Maybe if she could just hold out a little longer something would turn up and she could figure it out.

She looked around and finally got to her feet. No sense in fretting over it. Time to patrol. She started to sense for auras hoping she wasn't about to get ambushed after letting her guard down for a moment.

Nirvana had taken to doing patrols after his shifts were over. The long hours he put in seemed to give him a proper alibi when Alec by his mother where he had been. This wad not to say that she was overly protective, oh no, she was perhaps abit too shoft with get eldest child. Though Gabriel was the one that helped out the most when his father was out of town. That alone was a blessing.

Tonight, he had taken off abit earlier than normal. He had had some projects to finish for a class the next morning. But now he rested, patched in the branches of a large oak near the pond. He blended well with the leaves, their changing colors matching the green, crimson, and gold that mark his planet.

He was growing into his role, taking on that responsibility as protector and taking it to heart. He already had one dear friend to protect, as well as family, and that gave him purpose. Purpose...

He shook his head as he tried to get the images of past dreams from his mind. He still needed to take the time to explore them, and he was beginning to think that the answers might lay in Nirvana.

The aura was one Sabine had never felt the like of before. Well she'd felt something similar, but it had made her skin crawl. This was different. Calmer, warm. She didn't think that the owner of it would possibly mean her harm, but she wasn't about to approach without some sort of back up plan.

She quickly closed the distance and when she reached the general area of the aura she cleared her throat. "Hello? Is someone out there?"

She didn't see anyone at first - so she was hoping she wouldn't look like a complete fool.

A rustle of the leaves brought him back into his mind. He on alert as he braved himself on the branches. He did not sense any youma, not did he see any from his vantage point, but perhaps this time he was lucky enough to get a true negaverse flunky to battle.

There was a glint in his eye at the thought, something in him burned with disgust for the forces that fought against the light. Something deepest than just the normal hate for them, and he did not know why. Perhaps he would learn in time, learn why these feeling manifested in him now. Sooner rather than later was sounding better all the time.

He kept from the tree in which he was hiding. He landing in one of the many bushes that lay behind the young senshi. He watched her through the branches, his pale blue eyes catching the moonlight just enough to shine. "Who are you? Chaos?" His voice was a soft, deep, whisper

At the rustling in the bushes, Sabine jumped and quickly spun on her booted heel, getting into as close as a ready stance as she could muster with her (complete and utter lack of) combat skill. The voice, quiet as it was, made her frown and she cleared her voice.

"I am Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics. I do not take kindly being accused of being an agent of Chaos, thank you kindly." She said in her best regal tone she could muster. Her posture changed to that of one insulted, her shoulders rolling back and standing tall, trying to look down at the bush for all boot boosted just over 5' height would grant her.

"Who might you be, mysterious hidden stranger?"

There was still a wariness about him, he had learned not to trust, but all the same, he wanted to believe that this girl before him was good. He reached out, feeling for her signature, not feeling the burning of chaos in her, perhaps, just perhaps he had found another ally.

He moved from the bushes, his tall, thin frame pale against the dark lanes. Once clear, he looked her over, giving the small, young girl a slight bow. "Forgive my wary nature. I have not had much luck in meeting allies."

I'm fact, Camelot and Phact were the only allies that he currently had. It was a good thing, but they are hardly enough to take down the Negaverse. "I am Nirvana, of Pluto. Again i all for your forgiveness, miss Sabine."

It was only on the second request that he went to a knee and smiled. He was a royal knight in his mind, having had years to perfect the act because odd his young sister. So ironic it was that he was destined to hold the title proper.

Sabine had been expecting something male to come out of the bushes. What she was not prepared for, was the pale, figure with abs you could wash clothes on. Granted, her eyes quickly darted upwards toward his eyes - simply because she was well aware that he HAD to be way older than her.

It was made only worse when he apologized and knelt. Her face flushed and she was doing everything in her power to not let any of her... shock... get into her voice.

"Y-you are forgiven, Nirvana. Sabine is fine..." She said with a slightly sheepish tone. "No need to be too formal, we're all friends here."

"So, no need to kneel, please, stand..." She motioned with her hand, trying her best to keep her eyes UP and focused on his face and not... his other assets.

She was a growing, curious girl after all.

The young man noted the girl's faint blush, and it amused him. He had never really been considered much more than a nerd or a bad boy, but the idea that this little one found him attractive was certainly a compliment. "Then Sabine it is. I do not have many friends at this time, so to call you one would certainly be an honor."

He rose from his knee, standing a good 6 feet tall in his flats. He looked down to the small girl and offered to take her hand before placing a kiss on it. "You are still too kind for forgiving me this slight. But...I do think if you wish it..I will be your protector on this patrol?" He winked, offering a smile on those dark, painted lips. Even he knew he was a chronic flirt, but in the end, it did little harm, and what was wrong with building up the young woman's self esteem, hmm? All women wanted to feel beautiful, and Gabriel was a knight in shining armor....or rather...silk.

At first, Sabine had been willing to allow herself to oogle the man, mainly because there was no harm in looking - and he was far older than her - so there wasn't any chance of him being interested in her at all. However, when he started up the flirtation, warning bells of all kinds went off in her head, and while she managed to keep herself from pulling away from him immediately, she definitely started to throw up her defenses.

"I appreciate your offer, Nirvana, but I am hardly in need of a protector or an escort." She lowered her hand from his grip and busied herself in dusting off her still very clean skirt. "I do not think that it was too kind of me to forgive an honest mistake. The night is dark and full of dangers, it is prudent to be wary."

Oh yeah, pulling the whole thesaurus out on this one. Her mother would be pleased.

"Sometimes the predators are wolves in sheep's clothing... Or men's," She gave him a look that more than alluded that it was him that she meant.

Nirvana was no fool, and when he looked into the young woman's eyes he knew he had over stepped. He lowered his hand and took a step back from the young woman. Perhaps kindness was wasted on the young, and this world had jaded so many that even a kind word set another on edge.

"I did not mean to sound threatening. I have a younger sister myself, and i know that I would not like her roaming about the night alone as you are." He ran a hand through his hair, a blush coming to his cheeks as he tried to regain his composure. He had been accused of many things, but this was certainly new.

He slowly moved back abit more, the some that had been in his eyes note gone. "I leave you to your patrol then. Best of luck to you, young miss Sabine" with haste he took once more to the trees. Leaping higher than before, moving further into the park proper. His pride had been wounded. No, not his pride, his soul. To be accused of such a horrible thing was near heartbreaking, and all he could see was Chantal in that young girl's eyes.

Sabine was not new to the quagmire that was discourse. The faux paus was recognized almost immediately as Nirvana's own hackles had begun to rise, and Sabine felt the flush once more return to her cheeks. Silly child, that's what she was. Of course he was just being nice.

There had been no ill intent in his words, but she - the fool - had given his kindness an edge that had not been there. Perhaps, maybe, because she desired a romantic relationship so much herself, that she was projecting things she should not.

Regardless, she was acting like a silly girl, not at all how she would want to be remembered or witnessed, and so, it was purely in the saving of her character and her face that she pursued the knight into the park.

"Wait! Nirvana!" She let cry - knowing the risk all too well as to being loud in the night. She could attract the forces of Chaos to them, but all the same - she dare not let the knight go without sorting out her grievous error.

So, shorter legs and less powerful strides chased the page in vain, trying to keep up even though she knew it was likely she would not.

He rested in the branches of one is the tallest trees. His eyes looking up toward the stars as he did his best to calm himself. He could hear the young girl following him. He could hear her cries, but all the same he feared stopping, feared turning around. He let out one shaking breath, his eyes closing as he thought out loud "I am a true knight, a protector and guardian. I am to be that which most men wish they were and yet i sit here, scared of a young woman because she robbed my pride."

He took in another deep breath before falling backward from the branches, falling down what seemed forever before he flipped and landed on all fours before her. His hair covered his face, hiding the pain he still knew to be in them. "You called me, miss Sabine?" His voice was deep like rolling thunder, but the lit of tease was now gone, replaced with a much more somber tone.

Sabine had to give the man some credit, he was well suited to knighthood and his abilities that it granted him. She would not even begin to dare half of what he dared. That said, she forced herself to focus on the matter at hand - doing her best to not stick her foot any further down her own throat than possible.

"Forgive me, I spoke in error and hastily." Sabine said, now holding a low curtsy. "It was completely unladylike of me, and I did not mean to imply poorly of you."

Truly, she was still just a foolish child. As much as she saw herself as otherwise events such at this proved to her how wrong she was.

"Please forgive the folly of a silly girl," Sabine continued. "I would not wish for us to part on such awful terms."

The young knight lifted his eyes to look at the young woman that stood before him. He knew that perhaps he was being far too touchy about this, but pride was pride, and the pain in his heart would not be quelled by just her simple words.

"To say that your accusations cut me deeply is an understatement, miss Sabine. Though I understand that my ways of showing kindness and concern might come off to a more modern minded woman, as dangerous. I did not intend any such thing, and frankly, I would sooner feed myself to the Negaverse than harm another such as yourself." He shuddered at the mere idea. The thought ask but sickening to him.

He sighed and feel to one knee before her. His head lowered, the dark hair covering most of his face. "I accept your words, but I do not know if it heals my heart. You dealt quite the blow." His eyes looked up at her, letting her see the pain in them. It was the pain of a big brother. The pain of being told he was a cad.

Sabine had not been aware of how painfully looks could cut into a person's soul. Looking Nirvana in the eyes, which she was only able to do for short bursts, was so painful that she almost cried. Almost. She was a strong girl and would not be reduced to tears purely because she had hurt the man's pride. No, had she actually physically wounded him she might have shed some tears for the man. But, as it stood in that moment, she was unable to cry for his shattered pride.

She did however, curtsey very low, and bow her head deeply as she did so. "I know words are but mere platitudes, and mean not much at all, but at the moment they are all I have to salve your wounds, Sir." Her voice was shaky, belying the calm she tried to present outwardly.

"But, if there is something I can do to possibly mend this fracture, please, by all means, tell me."
