Hobbies:
Snap Snap to that Sh** on the Radio Harmony likes to dance. Not in the theatrical, Glee Club, or ballet kind of way (GOD NO). She likes to simply move and dances at will anytime and anywhere she hears a tune she likes. (This also includes when she’s wearing her earphones.) When she isn't working on the weekends she will party it up in the local dance club.
Show a Little Less – Harmony is fascinated by the art of old pinups and burlesque. She collects picture books of all the old and new greats including Bettie Page, Dita Von Teese, Nellie Farren, The Vargas Girls, etc. This hobby worries her mother and is part of the fuel to her fire. If she were old enough to see a live burlesque show she would.
Flashbulbs and Sunsets – Harmony has worked for her entire life (from babysitting at 10 to her current job at the coffeehouse) to save up for the camera she has now and it's almost always in hand. Her photography is the best way to see into her mind and how she views the world. Whenver she looks at something or a situation she'd staging it in her mind for a photo. She'll take mental "photographs" of many moments even if she doesn't capture it digitally. She'd love to be a photographic artist as a profession and do shots in the old pinup style much to her mother's chagrin.
Do You Want That With Whip? – Harmony works at the local coffee house and yes, she actually really likes it. Not only does it let her buy upgrades for her camera and little extras but it also lets her get her caffeine fix, interact with people, and listen to good music all evening long. And, as a bonus, her boss and coworkers (even most patrons) don't mind if she snaps a couple photos so long as the drinks get made. Really, is there a downside to this? Oh, well, yeah...cleaning the bathrooms after closing. So...do you want whipped cream on that?
Virtues:
Princess Charming – She's cute. She knows it. And damned if she doesn't know exactly how to flash those dimples, give you that smile, and put a grin on your face! Many of her customers from the coffeehouse walk away satisfied from her counter – even if it's with the wrong drink! With just a few choice words and a cute grin she can have almost everyone around her charmed.
Social Chameleon - Harmony is quite sociable. She likes mingling with many different groups of people and talking about many different types of things. She'll go almost anywhere to have a good time and can blend in with many crowds. She doesn't judge what people do so long as it's not immoral (in her opinion) and often times will join in with you, even if just to say she's tried it.
Artistic World View - Harmony believes that the world is generally a beautiful place and believes its her job to make it more beautiful. She can see the beauty in nearly anything around her and believes she can turn something ugly into something beautiful if she tries hard enough. Eternal Optimism. This often ties into her arrogance as well. She's often found collecting odds and ends and making them into art. She prefers photography but she likes nearly every other artistic medium, too.
Flaws:
It's all about ME – Harmony is selfish. It's not that she doesn't like you it's just that she likes herself even more. This trait stems from her mostly parent absent childhood and has worked well entering her teenage rebellion. When she was young she often had to think for herself and get by on what she knew how to do. She had a babysitter but it wasn't the same. She developed this selfishness as a means to live and just never stopped the habit. Harmony is more than willing to help you: as long as there's a good bottom line there for her, too.
It's Gonna Be ME – Harmony is also horribly arrogant. She thinks, as every other teenager in the world does at some point, that she knows absolutely everything and only she will know what's best for herself. This usually means she doesn't listen to anyone's opinion contrary to her own and doesn't take kindly to people who try to tell her she's taking the wrong path. She tends to think they're trying to control her life when they may have very innocent intentions. If pressed she will get hostile about this.
Anything To Make You Squirm – Part of her rebellious teenage phase is doing anything she can to make the authority figures on her life cringe. She even manages to make her friends squirm by doing what she can to make those around her uncomfortable. Her fascination with burlesque, though honest now, started as a means to shock her mother. Likewise, she's not above using her charm on the wrong people (namely inappropriately older male customers in the coffeehouse, women in the coffeehouse that are obviously straight, etc), talking about things that are not very PC, or pretending to do more permanent things to herself simply for shock value (coming home with the temporary tattoo is one of her favorite pranks). She honestly thinks it's funny.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: She has very large, round eyes that are mostly violet flecked with emerald green around the edges.
Hair: She always has her hair up, piled on top of her head. When it's down it cascades over her shoulders in curls the same length as her mother's, but it's paler in color – a frosted mint green with deeper emerald veins in it.
Face: She has her mother's heart shaped face but with round eyes and a fuller mouth. It's almost as if she's Kyndall's mini me with just a few distinctions.
Clothes: Harm has a very flashy style ranging from the glam of the thirties and forties when the pinup craze began to the more up front gothic influence of modern day fashion. No, she doesn't shop at Hot Topic. Yes, she does wear corsets. Will put up style references for her later. (Thank God for polyvore)
