DCU was no stranger to Lily as she spent amble time there taking classes, she was a music major who also took dance so she was also no stranger to the art department, which meant finding the studios was easy enough. It was quiet and most empty being a sunday even though students lived on campus.
Lily walked down the hall to the studios heels clicking softly as she walked. She wore a plain creme colored lace dress, her hair pulled atop her head with a boho head band, and simple black and grey heels. Today she was going on a date, she couldn't help but to giggle at the idea because she didn't even know Harmony and she'd never considered going on a date with a girl, but at the auction she enjoyed the simple and non-romantic idea for a date and it seemed very fun.
Lily made it to the studio and knocked lightly on the door, purse in hand, ready to start the day.

Harmony was nervous. It wasn't like this was a real date with a girl but she wanted to be impressive nonetheless. She had to earn what she was auctioned for, anyway. She had a beautiful pool that looked deeper than it was set up in front of realistic looking trees and flowers and bushes. She'd created her own little forest in the studio using a lot of time and care. Maybe it was a little overdone but all in all the effect was very good. With Lily's red hair she expected the girl to stand out beautifully among the greenery.
At the tap at the door she felt nervous butterflies flutter in her stomach. She had a couple of options for the shoot for wardrobe and an idea for make up, depending on how daring the girl felt like being.
Harm moved toward the door to let her in.
"Hi! Welcome! Watch your step." The green grass carpeting bunched a little in places. "I hope you don't mind doing a forest nymph like shoot. I thought it would be pretty."
Harmony usually had themes in her photography and didn't want to assume Lily would be up for a Burlesque shoot. This was safer.
"The costumes are over there. There's a range of them. I wanted to let you pick. I didn't know how...risque you wanted to be."
Not that there was straight up lingerie over there but some models, she found, were somewhat modest so she never wanted to assume where people's comfort levels lay.
"How do you feel about make up?"

Lily looked around dual colored eyes going wide at the scene that had been set up, "wow," softly not really sure what she had expected, but knowing that this wasn't it. She walked in further and resisted the urge to walk around touching the scene it self. She had never done a photo shoot before, not like this, this was far from family portraits.
"This is amazing," she said as Harmony directed her to the costumes allowing her to pick, "you are extraordinarily talented to have put all this together. I really don't know what to say. Though I can say you should probably help me pick out an outfit. I'm comfortable enough to bare some skin, I've danced ballet almost my entire life, the outfits aren't exactly modest, but I have a few scars, two on my abdomen and one on my shoulder, the latter of which would be hard to cover up with certain clothes."
She looked through the clothes wondering what was be best with her hair, but mostly she just looked. When Harmony asked about makeup she looked at the girl and smiled, "I usually don't wear makeup, so I'm not very good at the application, but I certainly don't mind it. I don't like concealer though, it covers up my freckles."
"Do you do this a lot, um photo shoots that is?"

Harmony had a portfolio with her, a large floppy album with her best photographs in it. It was becoming rather extensive thanks to her friends. She would have shown it to Lily if she asked, pictures of Bjorn and Beau, of her mother and random shots of people in her neighborhood: their neighbor Evalia. Each one was different and showed who Harmony was and some of them, yes, were set up like this.
"Not all of them are like this, no, but I wanted to give you your money's worth."
She grinned and went to where Lily was with the costumes. She was thinking of a hybrid between a Ophelia and a wood nymph so each costume was natural but kind of flowy in it's own way. She selected one that was leotard based with a short skirt made of tulle and held it up against her. The sleeves were also see through mesh but she had an idea to cover the scar if this is the one that was chosen. Harmony indicated that she liked that option or one just slightly more daring with no sleeves and a lower dipped bust.
"Don't worry about the scars, we can cover them up. Your freckles, though, I wouldn't cover them for the world."
Harm thought they made her subject look rather charming.

Lily gave a curious glance, "You could have taken the pictures any where and however you wanted, even if it was in the hallway in what I'm wearing now. I wouldn't have minded. I paid for the 'date' yes, but that hardly matter."
She watched as Harmony picked out two outfits holding one up to her, "what do the other's look like. Will you show me, that is you have any with you." She looked at the other outfit and blushed slightly, not that the outfit was a problem, she just wasn't super confident with low dipped busts, having a very small bust.
"Should I try them on to see which is better," she asked sort of just going with the flow. She gave a large smile when she said not to worry about the scars, thought she was worried, as Harmony currently couldn't see any of them. She was happy thought that the other girl had no intention of covering up her freckles.

Harmony smiled and chuckled. Sure, she could have taken Lily's picture in the hallway but where was the fun or the creativity in that? She wanted to do glamour portraits, beautiful shots the girl could be proud of. The fact that her evening was bought and paid for mattered to her. She wanted to give it her best effort.
At the mention of her portfolio her smile widened and she went to fetch it for Lily to peruse while she made some last minute adjustments to lighting and such. There were a lot of shoots in it like this one: Bjorn as the Norse god Thor and Bo as Dionysus: naked, but covered. Others were in there in similar fictional personas as well, all tastefully done with just a hint of wickedness. While her model was busy she laid out makeup to use to brightening her subject's face and highlight all of the natural beauty she had.
"If you want to try on the costumes there's a room just in there." She pointed to a door in the corner of the studio. "It's small but there's a mirror inside."
She brought out some realistic looking silk flowers and spirit gum to attach them with to cover the scar on her shoulder, should it show. Her curly hair was beyond perfect and Harm wanted to add ribbons and flowers in that as well.

The costumes were forgotten in favor of the portfolio as Harmony laid out the makeup. She was amazed by them, all of them we're tasteful and truly beautiful. She couldn't help, but to look the the photo's slowly and in awe. Harmony's voice startled her slightly she when she spoke she was so engrossed.
Lily looked at her slightly wide eyes for just a moment before she nodded and grabbed the costumes and headed into the room that was pointed out. She quickly slipped out of her clothes folding them up neatly and slipped into the first of the two outfits. She looked in the mirror at his, and it was nice, so she slipped out of the room to shop Harmony closed.
"Here's the first one," she called quickly to get the girls attention, waiting until she was looking, then giving a spin and nodding before heading back into the room with a quick, "I'm going to try on the other really quickly."
She was back out in just a few moments with the lower cut one, "here's the other." She gave another spin, feeling sort of like a she was doing a cover shoot, something she definitely wanted to do once she got her singer career under way.
"Which do you think is better, or I guess more fitting? I'm sure you have a vision right?"

Harmony stopped in her preparations to look at Lily seriously every time she emerged from the dressing room. The look had to be right or else nothing else would feel organic in the photograph. She'd learned early on that costuming was as important as the setting. But, honestly, the models had to be relaxed, too. Between the two she preferred the first, though, and indicated as much.
"Here, put that first one back on. The sleeves are fitting and I like the way the skirt hangs."
Her vision was usually clear before she did a shoot and served her well. She trusted that almost as much as she trusted her eye. Sometimes she couldn't always make what she wanted happen but she always tried. She popped open the make up chair and had it ready for when her model came out. One of these days when she was a famous photographer she'd put this in other hands. She just had to graduate college first.
"I'm ready when you are, for the make up and hair."
The palette she used was a rainbow spectrum, high pigment colors that blended easily. It was theatre grade make up she used. She wanted to keep it tasteful, color around the eyes and highlights along the cheek and brow. There wasn't terribly much she thought she needed to do with Lily's red hair and freckles. She just wanted it to be less human and more wood elf. The hair was a little more complicated and she pinned it up with the flowers and ribbons she'd picked out. The last thing she did was adhered the flowers over the scar in a pleasing trail to not be obvious.
When she was finished she held Lily at arm's length and admired her handiwork before spinning her to be able to look at herself in the mirror.
"You've been transformed."

Lily nodded and headed back into the dressing room to change back into the first outfit, hanging the second back up and heading out, but leaving her clothes in room to change back into later. She headed over to Harmony and set in the chair and grinned at the girl. "This is so different from family photos or even school photos. It feel like I should be going on stage and giving a performance."
She sat patiently while Harmony fixed her makeup and her hair before adding flowers to over up her scar. When she was spun around she smiled brightly at the mirror leaning forward slightly. She looked up to Harmony after a moment, "amazing. I feel magical," she said with a laugh.
She stood looking over herself over and running her hands down the fabric of the outfit. She gave a slightly twirl before giving a grin to , "what next?"

"One thing you can always say about me. I definitely have a vision!"
Burlesque may have been her passion but fantasy and whimsy seemed to be what she was good at. Not that she'd tried to do anything close to her passion yet. She'd only been to her first burlesque show a few months ago and hadn't quite gotten to know a lot of the performers in the community to ask them to pose for her.
Her focus turned back to the nymph in front of her and she smiled. The backdrop was about as foresty as she could make it but it would be mostly up to Lily to interact with her environment. She had a lot of freedom to move since Harm had built up the backdrop rather well. No part of the bare wall beyond showed through.
"I'm leaving the mood of this shoot up to you. There are lots of stories about wood nymphs and you can behave however you think is best."
Harm went to go fetch her camera. This was the fun part for her.
"Want me to play some music while you pose?"

Lily wasn't really sure what to do as far as posing was concerned, despite looking like a beautiful wood nymph she suddenly felt more like an awkward duckling. The offer for music was readily accepted, "classical please." It was a soft reply that she hoped didn't relay how awkward she now felt.
As soon as the music was playing felt a little more at ease. She tried posing, going up to a tree and pretending to smell a flower from a tree, up on her toes with a gentle smile on her face. She tried to move about, but she felt a little insecure.
After a few moments a song came on the reminded her of soul song, the one she had heard on Maia many times. It wasn't the same clearly, but the tones remind her and she smiled, pressing a hand to the bark of the makeshift tree looking positively relaxed and at ease. Her other hand rested on her chest and she has a wistful look on her face. That she pushed away and she was dancing. Slowly, with long and languid movement to the music, moving around the scenery with small touches and a gentle smile.
She even started to sing, not words but a song comprised a simple notes, soft and sweet.

Harm usually never played anything but soft ambient music during shoots so she had a stack of CDs that could be played. Within a moment or two she was at ease and picked up the camera to shoot. She gave direction every so often when Lily wasn't hitting the light or when something looked awkward or stiff. Even with the hesitance in some of the posing she looked sensational against the backdrop.
And then it happened.
Harm was snapping away and had to pause when Lily posed by the tree. The way she looked was amazing: pure, simple, beautiful.
"Wow."
She whispered the sentiment to not break the moment and started snapping like a mad woman to capture the subtle nuances of the look. These moments were rare when everything came together just so and she knew she didn't have long to capitalize on it. She switch angles quickly trying to find the perfect way to showcase everything.
And then it was over.
But the model seemed infinitely more at ease while she was dancing and Harm could hardly be bothered by that. So long as Lily was happy she would keep snapping photos. The singing was nice and added to the ambiance. After a while, though, the memory card in her camera started flashing at her that it could hold no more. Which meant she had more than 500 pictures of her waiting to be perused.
"I think that's time up. My memory card is full. They'll take a while to load onto my computer. Do you want to clean up and change while I make us something to eat?"

Lily blinked stopping and stopped falling out of trance she gotten into. She gave Harmony a curious glance and asked, "was that okay? Do you think you got any good shots. I know I was moving a lot, but I couldn't help it. I hope that was okay?"
She moved away from the scenery and nodded to getting cleaned up before moving toward wear she left her clothes when she changed before. "I'll be right back then," she said.
When changed quickly slipping out of the costume and back into her dress, and shows. She carefully removed the ribbons and flower from her hair, careful not to get anything tangled in the spirals of hair upon her head. She wasn't sure if she should or wanted to remove the make up. It didn't seem terribly necessary. Instead she replaced her headband and headed back out to see what Harmony was doing and possibly offer a hand.
Walking over to the other, "sorry. I hope I wasn't to long. Do you need a hand?"

Harmony hadn't gone through a lot of trouble for dinner. She was just throwing together a salad with some grilled chicken. She figured a light supper after that shoot was fine. Besides, in her eyes sometimes simple was the best. She certainly didn't want to overdo it after all that but Lily needed to feel like she'd had her money's worth.
"Oh!"
She jumped when the other girl came in, lost in her own thoughts.
"I'm sure some of them are stunning. I can burn a disk of your favorites for you to take home. Do you mind if I use them for my class?"
She presented Lily with a bowl and nodded toward the fridge. She hoped she had dressings the other girl liked and hadn't thought about this when she went shopping. Harm didn't much believe in Valentine's Day for herself. She had mostly just wanted to help raise money for charity and maybe have a good time.
"So, what do you do? I don't think I asked. Ballet you told me but I heard you singing. You're really good."

Lily happily took the offered bowl and headed over to the fridge. "It would be really nice if you could do that. I would love to show them to my family and I don't mind if use them for your class or whatever else you need them for."
She opened the fridge and found some dressing on the door. She grabbed a balsamic vinaigrette and held up to show Harmony. "Are you okay with this one, or should I bring another as well."
She didn't want to just bring the vinaigrette and Harmony was more in the mood for italian, ranch or something else. She waited for an answer before moving back over to Harmony dressing in hand. She smiled at the comment Harmony made and uttered a soft thank you.
"Yes, I do ballet, though I have been taking other dance classes in college outside of ballet. I love to sing. I would really like to be a singer someday and touch the world with my voice. Its a bit ambitious, but I've loved singing since I was a toddler. I play the piano as well. I like to play different songs on the radio on the piano. My brother is a bit better at it though."
Lily smiled enjoying herself, "what about you? You're a photographer but surely there is more."
