This was her second white chocolate mocha. And her third scone. But as she returned from the counter to her table, Castille hardly noticed it. The table was blanketed with papers. This was her senior year. And she hadn't even won a photography competition yet! What was she going to put on her resume? And more importantly, how was she going to pay for college? Sure, her father and mother did well, but she had other siblings that needed to be taken care of as well.
Castille heaved a sigh. This was gonna be tough.
She looked at her sea of papers and grimaced. What a slob she looked like! And there was almost no room for her laptop! She began to organize the paper, holding the coffee and scone in her lap until there was enough room to accommodate them. She had been in Espresso Yourself for the better part of the day researching colleges, photography contests, and more importantly, downloading new music.
Once her piles had been leveled off and organized, she placed her scone on the table and took a drink of the mocha.

Harmony had been watching Castille with some interest now. She looked like she needed help, a disorganized flurry of papers scattered over one of the few tables in the establishment. On reflex she pulled out her camera from under the counter and snapped a few pictures of the girl's struggle. She liked how it looked and somehow it reminded her of herself. Of course, she couldn't just take photos without the girl being aware of it so she grabbed one of the releases she kept lying around and walked over to the table. As a sign of good will she brought a sandwich.
"Hey."
It was her break so no need to rush. She set the sandwich down on the corner of the table and smiled in what she hoped was a reassuring way. She knew what it was like to feel completely overwhelmed. Her first year of college seemed to be all about overwhelming as she now juggled a job, school, paying bills, and still trying to finish homework assignments and some hope of a social life. It was by far the hardest thing she'd ever done.
"I'm Harmony. I couldn't help but notice how busy you look what with all the papers, the mochas, and the scones. I brought you a sandwich. That much sugar and no real food and I'd be ready to yack. Don't worry, it's on the house."
She sat down uninvited on the chair opposite her new acquaintance and lifted her camera from her apron pocket. She showed it to Castille.
"I hope you don't mind but I took some pictures. It's sort of my thing. That," she gestured to the bulletin board of candids on the wall behind them, "is my handiwork there."
It was one of the more famous points about Espresso Yourself.
