Corporal Nessaela Location: F3 Action: Contemplating the power display just witnessed. Internally cheering on the appearance of the shield and then drawn into the outer perimeter with the appearance of strangers.
Nessaela had been trying to find a silver lining to the situation that everyone, of all factions, seemed to be in without much success. The Commodore was still tinkering away with something and even though she wasn't exactly sure what it was that he was constructing she could already tell it looked nothing like the devices from before appeared to look like. Those generators had been big, this unknown contraption was much, much smaller. Casting a glance back over her shoulder to check on the progress Nessaela was caught off guard by the sudden blast of power rocketing through the sky to strike at the Calamitous Hollow.
"Jesus," was muttered under her breath at the display. Earth linguistics had certainly influenced their group and it seemed an apt exclamation at the demonstration of power. There was no question that this was a demonstration. The leader of the Negaverse had simply created floating discs in order to ascend into the sky in order to strike out at the beast. Whatever the beast was, it did not care for being lashed with chaotic energy. It flailed. If it had had a voice Nessaela was sure it would have been keening out its pain. The sight of scales breaking off in order to plummet to the ground alarmed the Corporal until a faint electrical hum was heard as a shield sprung up. For as far as Nessaela could see it extended outward providing protection from what could be instant death or serious injury to those crushed by falling scales.
The appearance of strangers approaching from beyond had Nessaela moving forward with her blade out. Her own proficiency with the weapon was getting better but she stood behind the outer wall of Andreiya, Vyn and Naeria to provide a secondary ring of defense if it was deemed to be needed. Aliez was behind her with his shield bracer and if anything she was more offering protection to keep him covered than the other three.
Even as Lyndin spoke saying that the gift of energy donation should be fine, she kept her blade up and stood back in order to keep this new, unknown factor, in her line of sight. Tenoch's words brought a small smile out in response. Vyn's shot had been pretty good.
For now it seemed as if things had settled down so Nessaela took a moment to observe the strangers that had come forth, proclaiming their intent to donate energy. Of the group it was the one that had a cat tail and ears that stood beside the senshi with wings that caught Nessaela's gaze the most. How intriguing.

Helene had been glad to stay and look for Surtur and Rainier’s friend; there was strength in numbers, and ensuring they could protect as many of their own as possible was the smartest idea.
They had been pulled across space, and now here they were, somewhere else.
But somewhere else appeared to be exactly where they needed to be.
He nodded to Beira when he joined them; hopefully this was the friend of Surtur’s and Rainier’s they had been waiting for.
And then Kaifeng arrived, and Helene’s entire demeanor changed.
Not even the powerful blast of Chaos—not even the ache it sent deep into his bones, the coldness it sent crawling up its spine, the ache it inspired in his starseed—could really dim the joy of having Kaifeng in his arms. And the relief, honestly. He would have hated to be separated from Kaifeng when the Negaverse was making such shows of power.
“I am glad you are well, zhiyin.” He said, softly, and then raised his voice to address the rest of the group. He would gladly introduce Kaifeng to the others later, but there was a threat before them.
“Chaos wishes to make a show of its power. But we cannot let it intimidate us.” Not an easy thing to say, with such dramatics in the sky. But it was the show of power of those who thought themselves strong, who sought to intimidate the “weak.”
A gaudy display of Negaverse power. How terribly expected.
Perspehone sighed. Once upon a time, that sort of thing might have inspired her. Once upon a time, she might have felt heartened to see Chaos so beautifully wielded. But that was before the Negaverse had used her like a particularly cute tool, and she had fled to the arms of the Court.
Now, it just made her shake her head. Let Laurelite sling her big cannon around. She doubted they could pull off a stunt like that with any regularity; surely it had to be incredibly costly.
And sure, they’d gladly turn it on the Mirror if it became convenient for them. But she refused to hand over the power that Laurelite wanted. She refused to be afraid.
Sappho let out a small gasp, hand coming up to cover her mouth in shock.
What was that? What could the Negaverse even do? Why could they do that? Sure, Mirrorspace had given them a ballista, but a ballista wasn’t a <******** lazer cannon commanded by one single woman.
One single woman with so much boss babe confidence, Sappho sort of wished that could be her. Maybe it had been, once. Maybe she could get that back.
Ariadne stared up at the sky, at the shrinking monster, and flinched away from the scale hitting the shield that had popped up around them. Her eyes drifted over to the group of aliens and their machine; part of her wanted to run over and help, but separating from her fellows seemed like a huge risk, given how many people were around.
And also because the Negaverse had just thrown out some massive BDE and maybe she wanted to stay near people so she didn’t risk getting caught up in any fallout.
But she really, really hoped that shield held. She did not want to find out what it would be like if it didn’t.
Tianyi’s hands came up to cover his mouth as he stared in awe at the sheer power the Negaverse was able to wield. It hurt, yes. It felt crushing, like being squeezed from the inside out, like--
Like Chaos, which had subsumed his world since the very day he was born. Like red skies and eclipsed stars. Like something familiar, even if it hurt, which was everything familiar to Tianyi.
And what a display. That strike went on, and on, and on—and the monster shrank.
The Negaverse Queen was so incredibly powerful, she could bring down a beast that was akin to a god.
What else could they do?
Chillingham got a very small, shaky smile, and Tianyi brought a hand away from his mouth to wiggle his fingers in a wave.
He could not quite shake the sense of horrified awe that the Negaverse’s power had inspired in him. Still, he tried to draw himself back to the present moment, turning his attention to Murikabushi.
“I can try to turn people away,” Tianyi said. “I hope no one will try anything. But if we need it, I’ll do my best.”
Celadon didn't have time to think, much less react, when the air suddenly felt suffused with a weighty, foreboding sense of doom. It was like the Sidhe from Hy-Brasil's wonder, but somehow worse. Concentrated.
For the moment, it was all she could do to hold herself back from dry heaving.
Pyrrhus found himself unable to move. Unable to really sort out his thoughts. He let Thalassa pull him along, so they still had eyes on Probably-Tyndareus, but he felt…
He felt…
He didn’t even know what he felt.
And when that massive blast of Chaos tore through the sky, the sudden feeling like he was being ripped apart from the inside was enough to send him collapsing to his knees.
It was a shock to his entire system. It burned him, inside and out, even if he knew it wasn’t really doing any damage. He distantly registered the shield going up, the scale crashing down perilously close to them, but far enough that they were hopefully safe.
None of that mattered.
“How are we supposed to fight that,” he said, and he did not mean the Calamitous Hollow. “How can we ever…”
"We're meant to kill that...?" He heard from a Captain along in their party, and Wolframite gave a toothy grin as they walked after General Benitoite. "If we are lucky!' He said with a wistful glee. If the creature continued to get smaller and closer to them, Wolframite would not hesitate to do everything in his power to get to it and tear it apart. The very idea of seeing that creature held above them was like dangling a steak above him, and he was there for the fight that was being promised this night.
As he followed, he watched as a strange piece of some kind of material was plunged down into the ground, and with it, Benitoite tensed, gripping the object in place as energy shot up and arched overhead them all and out to other places in this very chamber. Looking out, Wolframite could see other figures doing the same as General Benitoite, making themselves lightening rods as they held their position. Whatever this confusing situation was, these people somehow knew something about what to do. Whatever that was, it was causing strain on the General, and Wolframite grew anxious that this attempt wouldn't last.
And that's when their Queen stepped forward, and aimed a massive amount of power up into the sky. The wave of it felt like a sudden thudding of a bass, shaking inside his core and making it feel like the floor dropped from under him. While the energy was familiar, the sheer mass of it was heavy and overbearing, making a lump lodge in his throat as he felt a cold rush of it run over his body and bristle his fur.
Taking deep breathes, the creature above moved and - started to diminish in size. Smaller and smaller, but still large. The damage wilted it's size, making it all the more feasible to take it down. They just needed to get it to hurt again, to get smaller, closer, and then the pack could overtake it. The very thought had him clenching his fingers as he looked up and -
There! He turned to glance at a corrupted senshi in woodland greenery. Following their direction, he looked and could see it. Where the light so close to them from General Benitoite was arching up at the creature. Up at it's tail.
There was something there!
The lights danced up, reaching up like spider webbing to try and tangle but caught in the harsh winds.
Orb weavers trying to catch a hawk.
In the surging power of lightening and recently released energy from their Queen, the world was a churning maelstrom of power. Beside him, Miyamoto looked uneasy, and Wolframite set a hand upon their back. "Maybe you shouldn't be this close to the lights." He said, patting his back before looking up and out.
All their royalty was still alright, protected or otherwise not targeted. It seemed no one was starting any fights among them, instead scattering as large scales had rained down on the battlefield. Whatever was shimmering above them, protecting them, was working - for now. Even he could see the magical mesh straining under the weight of the scales.
Watching, Laven moved to him, placing a familiar earring upon his ear and speaking to him.
We should still keep watch and stay close in reach, if we should get the call. Benitoite looked capable but even he could see there was apparent strain. They could move to them if they should need the aid, but they had attendants for now around them.
Wolframite also wanted to be sure that the nearby royal did not take advantage of the situation if they thought there was an opportunity. This was still a battle ground, and if he could get a chance, he would try and take one of them out.
General Rakovanite Location: F9 Action: doing very little, mostly spectating Laurelite
The creature, despite its massive size, was so far away that Rakovanite couldn't fathom any of them being able to do anything to even touch it, let alone harm it. Surely a group of this size would serve some purpose to have been brought here, but everything felt infinitely out of their control- which wasn't a pleasing thought. A collection of the most powerful people on the planet stood only a few yards away, and Rakovanite didn't expect any of them could do anything.
Rather, he didn't expect most of them could do anything.
The Queen was close enough that he could see her clearly, though not near enough to hear what she said. The words would've mattered little in the wake of what came next. Laurelite was a little too flashy for his personal taste, but if anyone deserved to stride with such confidence, it was clearly only the Negaverse's Queen. No one looked near as smug and unbothered as she did, and she wore it well.
When she extended her arms and shot a concentrated beam of Chaos at the Hallow, it was enough to make even him feel ill (which- was odd? He had no memory of Chaos making him feel much of anything previously. It was an Existence, though not a sickening one). "She struck it," he murmured.
Which did absolutely no justice to what actually happened, given all the roiling response from the monster overhead.
Great scales started falling, and impulsively, Rakovanite snatched for Narcissus' elbow with an uncommonly tight grip. If something was headed their way... But nothing did, at least not near enough to do more than make his heart pound. "Wait," he hissed at Narcissus. He expected the Senshi to recoil from the enormous scale that bombarded the shield above them nearby, to collect their friends and vacate to somewhere much farther away, but it wasn't in a position to crush them if it fell, and if Rakovanite scoured the sea of people, he thought he recognized Lyndin manning the shield in front of them somewhere. It probably wouldn't break. If it did, they weren't under it where they were. Better to hold here and just keep an eye on the sky to see if anything came their way.
"Ho-ly-" Deisel's whistle was soft and relatively out of place, considering the panic of many nearby people rushing to seek area's farther from the threat of impacting scales. But nothing was immediately overhead, so how could he not be in awe of their Queen? And how could he not feel a bizarre rush of confidence, because yeah? They did have a weapon of their own, and it was freaking Laurelite all along because obviously it was!
Little Princess Birdie flittered all angrily around her, and Diesel wasn't shocked about that either- because everyone who didn't follow Laurelite should feel threatened.
"You're gaping," Gremlin commented, and even though he didn't have fur to stand on end, his snaggly whiskers trembled. He'd moved from the nest of Diesel's hood to have two paws on one of the Senshi's shoulders, looking out at those gathered with impossible wide, icy eyes.
"So what?" Diesel huffed, snapping his jaw shut. "If she can do that- that's pretty much the whole deal , right? It shrank. It shrank a lot, so if Laurelite can do all that, she just has to blast it until it's not scarier than a garden hose. Then someone can just walk up and stomp on it."
...But it might be tiresome to wield so much raw energy... And Laurelite had been human, at one point. There had to be a limit to what she could do.
But no one else could manage even that much. "I don't think anyone else can blast a Chaos canon- or any other kind of canon- out of them like that. How do we help her, like, do more of that? Y'know? It'd probably help if the flies stopped harassing her..." And if they were looking for a fight now of all times, they may as well have one.

Transcendant Eternal Sailor Chariklo Location: I7 Action: With Solaris, Stromboli, Ran, Onasilos, Mystras, Dunwich and d’lf. Giving Solaris the best explanation she can
For perhaps the first time, Chariklo regretted the way her magic had shifted after she’d transcended. She would have poured herself into the girl with the stake if she’d been able. But, as she couldn’t, she instead knelt by the alien girl and gripped her shoulder, trying to put as much encouragement as possible into the gesture. Taking stock of everyone around (and raising an eyebrow at the sudden appearance of her old cat and the kid she’d been told about), she sighed and gave as quick a rundown as she could.
“Laurelite unleashed hell,” she said grimly. “I don’t know where she got that sort of power from, but she turned it on the damned snake and shrunk it. It’s still too damned big, but, y’know. And that sixth stake that people were going on about in the video of the moon meeting seems to be stuck in the ******** thing’s tail.”
Looking around the group, she wondered what they were all capable of. She knew her own abilities and Xibalba’s. But everyone else? Hard to say. Though she was grateful that at least the Mercury knight had some shielding abilities. She wasn’t as sure about the Jupiter knight, but everything helped.
Standing up, she stretched and felt bones and tendon crack. Eyed the corrupt for a moment before giving a shrug. If Cuan and the knight were both willing to vouch for her, who was she to object. She’d been part of Chaos once too. She wouldn’t turn her back on someone thinking about escaping.
“How much can that shield of yours cover?” she asked the Mercury knight curiously.

Super Sailor Namaka Location: E10 Action: Latching onto the very nice people
In spite of her wide and dilated eyes, Namaka managed a shaky smile at the two other senshi who spoke. She wouldn’t take protection away from the boy with the spike, that would be selfish. But maybe she could help defend him. She couldn’t offer shielding, but if it came to one on one? That she could manage.
But the senshi who smiled and spoke gently, she managed a slightly less strained smile in return. Nodding acceptance to his invitation to stay, she felt something in her back relax. She didn’t know these people, but they were all fighting for the same thing. And they all seemed equally appalled by the Negaverse’s little display.
“Thank you. Tell me where I can help and I will do whatever I can. I’m not terribly useful at defensive magics, though.”
At least, when that awful, crushing Chaos came, he was by his beloved’s side for the first time in a thousand years, and if he wrapped his arms around one of Amateru’s and pressed himself close, frankly he was pretty sure no one could blame him. What kind of monstrosities existed on this planet, to be able to wield power like that? To sling around so much Chaotic energy at the whim of one woman?
It made his heart sink in his chest. But he would not let himself sink into despair. No.
He squeezed Amateru’s arm, as much for himself as for his beloved.
“We’re going to do this together,” he promised. “I’m not losing you so soon after I found you again.”
Cadet Lysanna Location: C10 Action: Sending out a message via her Comtech to the other Vanguard members. Answering Hugbell. Starting to move away from danger square
Even as she concluded her scan of the attack display did Lysanna frown a little. The readings didn't seem to make a lot of sense to her. Saving the information for now did Lysanna realize that Hugbell had asked her a question and it was only the polite thing to do to reply.
"It's a device. Comtech. Each member of the Vanguard should have one. It's multi-functional."
Even as the last words left her lips, did Lysanna's thoughts lock onto the answer on how she could at least get word to everyone else about her predicament. Bowing her head for a moment she tinkered with the device on her wrist before she found the function she wanted to utilize. Speaking clearly the cadet recorded her message before sending it off to any other Comtech device in the area. Her gaze rose to meet that of Hugbell's once more before she gave a faint smile.
"I think I need to try and find my group, but I wouldn't mind the company on the journey. There's safety in numbers and we can watch each other's backs. Want to come with me?"
LP
Hugbell
(( Lysanna's sending out the following message to all members of the Vanguard through her Comtech:
Cadet Lysanna here. I've become separated from the group upon arrival to this realm. I'm not quite sure of my location except I'm near the one that put on that display of chaotic power to strike at the Calamitous Hollow. I took a scan during the attack and have saved it for further analysis. I'm unsure on things right now but will be trying my best to get back to everyone as soon as possible. ))
There were so many here, gathered. That was exactly what they needed, as many of them as possible to stand and fight against all odds.
Even with the worst Chaos he had ever felt bearing down on them, even with the brief moment of absolute hopelessness that came with that callous display of incredible power…
Madriu wasn’t alone anymore. And that was more than enough to keep him going.
This was the type of moment he was made for, in any case. What could be a more hopeless struggle than the one they were in now?
"Arcalis," he said, "if that thing gets small enough, I'm going to use my magic. I'll need you to cover me."
He didn't actually know the woman with the scythe (he didn't actually know any of the powerful Chaos auras that had come to this plane), but she stuck out. And it became obvious very quickly that she wanted to.
The waves of Chaos that rolled off of her from her attack viscerally reminded Antisana that he had at one point not so terribly long ago, thought he would be happier with the Negaverse. Well- no, 'happier' wasn't quite the correct word- more comfortable, safer. Monsters wouldn't assault him. And with that sort of power from their leader, the thought resurfaced in his mind again 'more comfortable, safer' because no one should be fool enough to ******** with that.
He grabbed Eleonora's hand, though otherwise was stiff as a board. They should leave- if they could.
Both he and Eleonora were just humans, with no particularly special skills beyond what the Code gave him and her world gave her. They couldn't do anything of such strength, nor could they survive it if it was directed at them. The creature in the sky was impossibly out of reach, and the combatants on the ground were in a league well above anything they could hope to achieve. They should leave.
Or at least retreat somewhere no one could find them.
Eternal Corrupt Albite Location:D2 --> A4 Action: Bamphing to Aid his Team and His Boy Page:40, 52 Roll: 49
"Helio--" And of course Litharge had followed, genius boy, blessed Jayce. Waru was ever ******** proud of him, lacking any sort of assurance or sense as he was. Too goddamn caught between the skewer of being awe-struck and wondering ******** was going on. But Hell, if Laurels wanted to show some leg at the supposed end of the world? Who was he to do more n'watch n applaud as the whole plane of a space shook and everyone in white clutched their pearls and cowered...
Or so he imagined, as the space he'd run to with the others, containing Hess (stunning) quickly became the space they needed to leave. The tug so familiar that he couldn't help but follow even as Helio and Litharge started to speak. He reached up to pet over Haymitch's clinging form instinctively, brushing down velvet-soft bombay black tufts as his bonded crawled about his locks to nestle over his shoulders like a mink.
His beloved boy-shaped vortex of fire, eternalest of husbands ever to be.
Faustite was calling them--
And Albite went with the others on the heels of Helios, frankly, confusing as ******** statement. A connection still existed? A mental one? The why's the hows, bounding things he didn't know how to stammer about. Thank the stars for Fafnirs rage-tinged insight, outsight, presence of thought enough to ask the big asks. To Albite, personally? Sharing worm thoughts was probably somewhere mid-tier of 'strangest s**t to happen in the span of an hour' on this particular day. Right above 'I got to see Laurelites cannons hot ******** damn!' and right below 'I wanna put my tiny flame-spouse in my chest hole for safe keeping'. Important -- but not so important in that moment as giving Haymitch one last scritch before stepping up with the rest to take on the shared burden of oh so much energy.
To feel alongside the others that sense of 'I've got you.' that felt like it would last forever.
We're with you, Firebrand.

A round, purple berry that was firm to the touch and smelled sweet; it had a soft skin and was roughly the size of a cherry tomato. - Saving in Bag in Subspace. A bracelet that demands to be worn; something about it compels you to keep on your person. It is simple silver but has a multi-faceted, raindrop shaped gemstone charm dangling from it. The teardrop shaped gemstone has a silver glint to it and might have appeared clear if it weren’t for the swirling white mist trapped inside. Energy hummed inside these crystals–harvested, stored. "A team spa day is starting to sound very appealing, sir!" Barked over the wind, so suddenly shunted by the appearance of a shield. The idea sounded increasingly appealing, nearly as much as surviving amidst impossible odds. Not too impossible, though. Even as Gremlin was taking bets against them; barely heard over the howling winds. With Weissite passing something along towards Rak, a glint of red.
Maybe we will survive this afterall? At least, those of us who deserve to. A wry thought, a half-ways cruel one, he didn't know if he cared for Order making it or not, so long as their own survived.
Who knew -- maybe places beyond Earth weren't so bad afterall? Maybe there was a spot in Narci's world? On one of the Vanguards ships?
"Come on, Markeb!" Glancing back over Vauxite and the others as they, as a group slid into place. Feeling Narci come along like a gentle weight, he caught the Super's wan smile and returned it with *feeling* -- while squeezing his gauntleted wrist reassuringly, because this? Whatever was happening? It certainly didn't feel like some grand beginning to a loss. It felt like a flex, a grand show of power as scales crashed over the shielded sky and the great serpent shrank, and Rak notably -- reached to save his *Senshi* -- ever protective and it was too cute for Dia to do more than stuff a private smile behind a frilled sleeve.
Course, all the gawking aside, he still didn't know what to do about something so large it rained car-sized pieces, but? He was certainly paying attention now more than ever, watching with lip bitten between teeth and hoping for an opening.
"Maybe if we're lucky she'll tell us how to help --" Getting a hint of Diesels words, "Or shoot it again ---- can you imagine -- if it loses enough scales, maybe it won't be able to stay aloft any more?!" Grasping at straws and hypotheticals, antlike and looking up at a screeching monster.
*They'd be ready!*

Sailor Tempesti Action: Getting Big Mad before chasing after Muri Location: E10
Tempesti managed to bludgeon down the urge to vomit despite the fierce nausea crashing through her system, forcing herself to remain upright. She was not about to allow some self-important creature’s ostentatious peacocking succeed in cowing her.
Not again. Never again.
Whatever that woman had unleashed, it was wrong. Primally, seethingly wrong. Her starseed lashed out within her in an unspeakable, implacable fury at the intrusion. Blinding blue-hot raged flashed through her and for the tiniest fragment of a fraction of a moment the Calamitous Hollow felt like the lesser of two evils.
Then she was back. A quick shake of her head cleared the anger. Unsubtle threat or not, that power was devastatingly effective. Deciding to worry about the implications of that later, she noticed the nearby goings on. Adorable as the unfolding…situation was she turned away, a slight smile chasing her remaining outrage back into the “deal with this later” box.
As Muri took off, she charged after him, determined to do whatever she could manage to ensure nothing interfered with that spike getting into place.
