Introduction
Arden is an independent Nightmare that likes to observe from afar and fly under the radar in most situations. Having been raised outside of the Academy, he often feels awkward when faced with the fact his classmates have never known their family or the rest of their race. For that reason he tries to keep it quiet and thankfully, only a few others in his age group are aware he didn't come from the Cache. It is pretty easy to keep his upbringing under wraps when the rumor mill would rather talk about his lack of flight ability instead. However, his independence and reserved nature does not keep him from being polite, and often times the Chimera gravitates towards the nicer of Nightmares to keep from being completely anti-social.

Positive Trαits.
✖ Follows Structure. Arden likes to be told what to do and enjoys falling into 'his' place, much like his life with his Clan. This is beneficial for those with authority over him as he is an obedient pupil.
✖ Inquisitive. Since he has joined the others in the Below, Arden has taken advantage of learning everything he can of the other races. Sometimes he comes off as a bit 'weird' with his questions as he feels awkward acknowledging his friends came from the Cache.
✖ Studious. Sometimes in an attempt to avoid the awkwardness of not relating to some of the orphans, Arden would much rather keep his nose in the books. Other times he simple too engrossed with the material to pay others much attention.
✖ Polite. Mostly due to his upbringing in the clan, his mother and grandmother made sure he was the perfect respectful child, especially in the face of negative comments.
✖ Controlled. Arden is good at holding in his tongue and temper in most situations. Additionally, he has gotten good with controlling his magic and is very deliberate in all that he performs.
Negαtive Trαits.
✖ Completionist. Arden cannot walk away from something he has not yet finished. This means when he sits down to study or work on a project, he will sit for long sessions until it is done. This can be annoying especially to try and make plans with him, or even hanging out with him can be a disaster if you do not have the time to see something through like taking a stroll of the entirety of campus.
✖ Needs Instruction. As part of being a good pupil and trying to soak up all the information he can, Arden will make sure he knows what is expected of him or what he is trying to understand to a T. Those with a short temper or those who hate explaining themselves could easily find this annoying.
✖ Persistent. When looking for instruction or answers, Arden can get very persistent, more so with the males in his life. A simple no is never an acceptable answer and his towering height can sometimes make him intimidating and bit bully when he wants to get to the bottom of something.
✖ Independent. While most chimera are raised to be independent, life in the Academy has amplified his desire to do things for himself. Mostly it is to avoid the awkwardness with his peers that he has yet to overcome, but other times it's to hide the fact he cannot fly or that he has left his clan. Sometimes it crosses into anti-social, but he tries his best to be polite and make friends.
✖ Chimera. Having been close to others of his race, sometimes Arden has a hard time letting Chimera ideals go. While he tries to be open minded and curious, sometimes he'll challenge other's world views, for what he considers, more efficient Chimera ideals. Additionally, he feels less awkward around cache-born Chimera than other races, so naturally he's gravitated towards his own race over others.
Enjoys.
✖ Familiars. Arden likes the quiet companionship that familiars provide and help bring the tight-knit family feeling into his apartment.
✖ Helping Others. After seeing his mother's work as a healer as a child, Arden's wanted to use his magical abilities for the benefit of all nightmares. Additionally, he gravitates towards many Cache-born Chimera to try and help them cope without having a clan best he can.
✖ Companionship. While Arden does not have many he is very close to anymore, he enjoys familiarity and tight-knit relationships. Sometimes it's a bit monopolizing of others because he craves the feeling of an artificial family, but he is aware he is no longer in the Crown and fills the space with friends and his familiars.
✖ Magic. The Chimera enjoys magic and the capabilities it provides. It is also something he is decently good at, having been raised to focus on magic over jobs that require flight.
✖ History. Stated above, Arden is curious on how other races live and digesting all that they know, especially in the realm of medicines and how they handle care. He still favors Chimera culture highly, but since being sent to the Academy and being forced to the outside, he figures he might as well be open and learn the most he can.
✖ His Mother. Arden was very close to his mother growing up and respects her magic abilities immensely. He'll still praise her and her abilities despite the fact she left him to the academy and relinquished all ties.
Dislikes.
✖ Confrontation. Arden is not good in awkward situations and has yet to find a good comeback for those who made snide comments about being from the Crown, or being flightless. It takes a lot for him to cave under pressure, but when he does he always feels awful following.
✖ Unpredictability. The Chimera is very fond of structure and being in the loop, so uncertainty and spontaneity makes him anxious. He can be hesitant to try new spells or take risks if he has never seen it done before. Usually when it comes to meeting other nightmares, he'll observe them for a long while before approaching just to make sure they're kind.
✖ Uncleanliness. While Arden can manage a bit of clutter, he is not a fan of mess or dirt. Learned from his mother and extensive chores, it's a habit to keep things clean and he'll often pick the tidiest spot to sit down in other's rooms.

Room
Arden keeps a very tidy and professional room, mostly a habit taken from his time in the Crown. His mother kept a clean and organized home and aspiring to be a similar healer, Arden keeps the seem mentality. With dark red walls and nice dark woods, the Chimera finds his room rather calming and considers it relaxing to return from a long day of classes to his room. His door isn't often open, but if someone knocks he'll invite them in if they're a familiar face needing a chat. It's rare to find him in other's rooms, feeling awkward to invade what he perceives as their personal space unless they're close friends.
The Chimera doesn't have a terrible amount of possessions, mostly because he arrived at the Academy as a junior with very little in the way of possessions. Unlike students from the Cache, he simply hasn't had the time at the Academy to clutter up his room. He does make an effort to keep every gift and note he receives from his friends because he appreciates the fond memories, but they're usually tucked away in his drawers or staged neatly on his shelves.
