- Arden sat in the window of his dorm room, watching the others below in the courtyard just a bit idly. He had been thinking so much about graduation lately and here he was, pushing his enrollment to the limit. He already taken one extra class, but now he felt guilty for dragging his feet. He had vowed to himself to take his life into his own hands and prove the Clan wrong, but now he was hanging back from his career. He wasn't exactly scared (but he always was, afraid of others and what they would think of his appearances or the fact he was practically exiled from his Clan), but he had grown comfortable here.
"Rajna," he sighed, alone in the room while he contemplated. Then there was her. The lovely Chimera with all sorts of quirks he had grown quite fond of. Maybe he was being a bit of a baby and couldn't say he loved her just yet, but he was proud of her and everything she did. Granted, she had some time to go yet, but she was younger than him. It was only natural, and he could always come to visit through the portals. Was it worth letting potentially puppy love hold him back? He whined and then immediately felt silly, dragging a clawed hand down his face.
"I need to do this," he declared to his Vespercat asleep on his bed. The cat made no sound other than it's soft snores. Of course, this was Arden's own little internal debate. "I've prepared myself to study Medicine, so what do I have to lose? I know what I want." Oh man. He said it out loud. His tail swished suddenly, flipping from the floor and up into his lap, the spikes digging into his thigh. Leviathan was waiting for him and all he had to do was drag himself down to admissions.
With a heavy sigh his shoe tips hit the floor and he shook his head once more. Rajna would understand, and he would do his best to see her whenever he could. He could be his own person and still have his best friend there with him.
