The senior had quietly followed along with the rest of the question and answer session that had gone on. This was one instance where his desire for attention would go unheard and likely quickly dismissed. Along with a good sized-chunk of the group that had been in the courtyard, he went with them to the cafeteria, ball tucked under his arm. There wasn't much he was contributing to the conversation, but he was vaguely curious about the newcomers. It seemed that they would stir up the school until some sort of decision was made.
Ares left the group hovering around the young pair, in search of food. His practice might have been cut a bit short, but that didn't mean his hunger was any less. Tray in hand, he spotted a familiar face. It looked like the chimera from before had also came to get some food. "Mind if I sit here?" he asked, approaching the table where the other was sitting. They were in sight of the other group of grimm and the nixie, so they could see what was going on.

The Chimera was surprised by the question, still caught up in his head about the events that had transpired. Amy's concerns about the disabled had really struck a chord - typical - and he was still rather hung up on it. He was here to help out the other Chimera, his kin, but he couldn't help but want to stick up for the Grimm who wouldn't find a place too.
"What?" he blurted, caught off guard. Arden shook his head a little, recognizing Ares almost immediately from before. The Imp had joined him in the background while the young Grimm and Nixie fielded questions. "Please," the Chimera encouraged, putting on a half smile. "Sorry, was zoning out a bit." He scratched the back of his head, fork still clenched in his other fist still clean as it had been when it left the kitchen. "Just a crazy day, right?"

Ares chuckled a bit at the chimera's startled exclamation. It should have been obvious that the guy was in another world, but Ares hadn't thought he'd been that quiet in his approach. "No worries, next time I'll cough or something," he reassured him with a grin. Setting down his tray, Ares arranged himself so that he could watch the goings-on of the other table and still have the chimera in view. "Crazy day? You could say that again," he said with a nod towards the group. "Nobody could have guessed this morning that we'd have visitors that would stir the school up so badly."
Leaning an elbow against the table and propping his chin up, he just watched as two or three of the group would break off for food and then return only for a couple more to do the same. Pushing his own food around on his plate idly with a fork, he turned his attention to the other senior. "You think this would have gone any differently if they had been from any other race?" The grimm had been thought extinct, aside from those currently awakened, but what if an ambassador from one of the other races had decided to remove them from the school? Would people have gotten so riled up; would everyone have been so stunned?

"Coming out of the wood work?" he asked, raising a brow. Grimm were the only race on the table that had been in such a fragile situation. "Any other race demanding to take their kids back would be a political war. Too much history." Arden frowned a little, gaze following Ares'. "Every one else has been too invested in the Academy and the cache from the start," he offered his opinion, finally going back to his plate. "The only two I could maybe see doing it would be the Fallen, or some of the more xenophobic Chimera clans," he sighed.
He pushed around some of his food, more interested in thinking than eating despite his hungry stomach. "Either way, there would be a reaction. Headmistress and the school are legally in charge of us while we're boarding here from the Cache, so." Arden shifted in his sheet, crossing his legs under the table and then immediately undoing it. This all made him so uneasy for some reason. "They're asking impressionable, lonely kids to make some rash decisions," he murmured.
