User Image Mana grumbled, tendrils flaring up now and then as they struggled with their assignment. A few times they were about to circle the wrong number, but realized their mistake in time to correct it. Now to just hope the teacher wouldn't notice.. It would be really embarrassing.
At last they managed to finish, after double-checking multiple times, and the little geist had to keep themselves from turning invisible out of embarrassment as they walked up to the teacher's desk to turn in their paper.

Gale had never been a math mind, but the worksheet seemed simple enough. She quickly circled all the correct answers and handed in the sheet to her teacher with a cheerful smile.

User Image Pherein loved math and the fact that it was easy math all the better. She quickly circled all the answers, and doubled checked just to make sure. Sometimes things that you thought were easy often had a trick question or two just to throw you off. Hoping that they were all right she finished the assignment and turned it into the teacher. Well now that she thought about it, there was another good thing about easy math assignments. It gave her way more time to set up pranks.

User Image Baum looked at it and then looked at it again. It should be rather simple but that was the problem it seemed to easy. There wasn’t like a hidden cache was there. He sat there frowning and looking at the paper for a bit longer. Well sitting there wasn’t going to get it done. With a sigh he quickly circled all the answers he thought where correct and handed it up to the front. Ugh he hoped he had given the right answers.

User ImageFrostbite quickly circled the answers to the test. Everything was pretty easy, but his parents had been helping him throughout the year so he felt prepared. The Grimm puppy flew through the test and went to the front to turn it in, wagging his tail happily.

User Image Kieran rolled their eyes at the assignment. This was too easy. Kieran went through and circled all the right answers, then went back and added a few doodles. Bored of daring, Kie went to turn in their assignment, sending a grin their sister's way.

Liath sulked into math, it was generally his least favorite class. Not because it was hard, it wasn't so hard after all. Mostly because it seemed tedious. He didn't like feeling like he was wasting his time, and that is how math made him feel. The assignment was easy enough today so he got out a piece of paper and began to write. 'Start with easy ones, even. 2, 10, 12.' those were his favorite even numbers. 'Now the odd, 1,3,5... add them together. Let's see, 2+10= 12+12= 24 1+3=4 4+5=9...' He was lost. Staring at his paper he waited for his brain to catch up. 'Oh and them together 9+24= 33, that is odd just like 3.' After jotting down the numbers and total, he scribbled a big 'ODD' on the top of the paper. He didn't really like odd numbers, not that he had any reason to, there we're just a lot of things he didn't like. He handed the paper to his teacher, and went to sit back down in his desk.

Listening intently to the instruction given by the teacher, Silas' little mind started to piece together the challenged issued to them. Three odd and three even numbers... and add them together. He'd been studying up on his numbers a great deal, as it was their main focus in class. Looking down at the paper in front of him, he began to draw a 3, 5, 9, 2, 6, and a 4 with great precision, taking his time to make sure each was neatly made. Or at least to his best ability.

Using one his spare hand, he would remind himself of some of the bigger numbers, as he counted across the string. At the end of them he concluded with 29. Staring at the result, he recalled the little rules that'd been given to remember what was even and what was odd. This number was odd, which he wrote beside it.

Oh boy... Addition. Saerun settled into her seat a little more to get comfortable, and then picked up a pencil to write things down.

2+6+10 = 18.

5+3+7 = 15

18+15 = 33

Okay. 33 was an odd number because 3's are odd... right? Yeah... She carefully wrote the word "odd" next to the 33, and then wrote her name at the top of the page. Once that was settled, she passed in her paper to Judas when he walked by. Phew. Math class dealt with.

Lilan paid attention, taking notes during the teachers lecture, idly making some numbers on the edge of his notebook for reference. The task sounded simple enough. Easy. He was surprisingly good at picking up on math. Like the rest of his classmates, he began on the work they were given, jotting down the required numbers. 1, 3, 7 were odd, and 2, 8, 6 were even. Now to add them up!

Eyes flickering across the string, he started to add the large numbers first, then the small ones, ending up with 27. That was an odd number, since it ended with 7.

The demon sat in class quietly, resting his iconic plushie in his lap. As the lesson began, Eli sunk slowly, crossing his arms and resting his head on the desk's top, eyes just barely visible above his puffy sleeves. While at first glimpse, it looked like he might have dozed off, he was listening very intently, eager to absorb the knowledge. Math was one of his favorite topics, so he could not help but pay extra attention in it. As the teacher gave him the assignment, he pulled out a sheet of paper and a pencil. Numbers came quite easily to him so he picked a few of his favorites, picking 3 even and 3 odd mentally in his head. Hewrote several numbers with ease, dividing each by 2 in case the teacher wanted him to see his work.

        4/2 = 2 (even)
        15/2 = 7 1/2 (odd)
        9/2 = 4 1/2 (odd)
        2/2 = 1 (even)
        18/2 = 9 (even)
        1/2 = 1/2(odd)

Leaving some blank space, he wrote the numbers once more, labeling each as even or odd. He already knew the solution was going to be odd...but he went ahead and added them up at the end, labeling the solution appropriately.

        even: 4, 2, 18
        odd: 15, 9, 1

        4 + 2 + 18 + 15 + 9 + 1 = 49
        49 / 2 = 24 1/2 so 49 is odd

He underlined the last bit to emphasize the answer the teacher was looking for. Satisfied with his work, he put his name at the top in big letters and handed it to the teacher.

Ah Math class. Certainly not one of Nilima's best subjects. She tried hard in all of her classes however. So she sat up straight with her eyes glued to the teacher as he talked about that days lesson. She knew what odd and even numbers were at least. It was just that adding them was sometimes difficult. She found it easier to add even numbers, but once you threw in some odd ones things got a little more difficult.

She stared down at her paper and tried to pick out some numbers.

                              Even: 4, 6, 12 = 22
                              Odd: 3, 9, 13 = 25

22+25 = 47. She scribbled 'Odd' down on her paper next.

She had had to use her fingers to do the counting and it might have taken her a bit longer than some of the other students. But in the end, she was fairly confident about her answer.

Math class! Heck yeah, the whole time he was in class he couldn't keep his tail from wagging behind him. While he might be seen as more of a sports kid, in reality he actually really enjoyed math. Numbers just seemed to come to him naturally and if you knew the formula for something than you couldn't go wrong! It was way more fun to work with numbers, than have to memorize things out of text books.

He got to work quickly after the lecture.

                              Even: 2, 8, 10 = 20
                              Odd: 5, 15, 13 = 33

20+33 = 53 which is an Odd number.

He knew it was going to be Odd. If there were an 'odd' number of odd numbers being added together, than it would always be an odd number! But if it were an even number of odd numbers, than it would be even! Wasn't math interesting? He smiled and turned in his homework happily to his teacher.

User ImageNoah stared at the blank paper in front of him. His assignment was to write down three even numbers and three odd numbers. He bit his lip as he tapped his pencil on the desk and thought about what numbers to write down.

Even: 2, 6, 12
Odd: 7, 13, 19

He pulled his pencil back, eyeing what he’d wrote down and double checking that they were all correct. When he was satisfied with his choices, he moved on to the next part.

2 + 6 + 12 = 20
7 + 13 + 19 = 39

39 + 20 = 59 - this is an odd number

After looking over the rest of his work, Noah was satisfied with what he had put down and went to turn it into the teacher.
