The periodic table intrigued Ayuu more for aesthetic reasons than scientific ones. Ze quite liked how its creators and refiners had made something fantastical but functional, its spires of noble gases, halogens, and alkaline metals held aloft by a foundation of Nightmare-made components. It might not have helped zer to recall what they all did, but it assisted in memorization, whether ze knew it or not. It was how ze'd ended up able to identify more than half of the elements on Ms. Flora's test.
Ayuu was surprised by zer score, but excited too. It wasn't the best by any means, but it was good enough for someone who didn't want to be a scientist. Ze couldn't help thinking ze was finally starting to get the hang of this school thing.

When Ellis saw the subject of today's science lesson, he paled a little, his tail curling against his legs. He hadn't properly looked over the periodic table at all recently. He hoped he could recall enough of the elements to do well.
Luckily, his father had instilled in him the importance of the Periodic Table Song.
"There's Hydrogen and Helium, then Lithium, Beryllium," he began, whispering under his breath. "Boron, Carbon everywhere. Nitrogen all through the air."
He made it all the way to Praseodymium before he had to stop. It was a pretty good showing!Embi-lamb i feel bad quoting you ;; i hope you feel better soon!

Bebe bit her lip in slight panic as she stared at her blank piece of paper. Elements, elements... surely she had to remember some of them? "Carbon... iron... um... helium! Copper? Ugh!" she wailed miserably, scribbling down a rather pathetic collection of elements that she could remember. Wincing at her meager results, she handed in her test with many fluttering eyelashes and dazzling smiles, hoping for a little mercy from the teacher.

Plant cells? Quinn blinked at the test a few times, trying to wake themselves up. Her memory of plant cells suddenly seemed so foggy, but a few scraps of information floated around her head here and there. With a sigh she commenced the test, finishing when she couldn't be bothered racking her head any further. Could have been worse, right?

Connor loved science as she saw it as a stepping stone to her much-beloved alchemy. Thus she always paid attention and class and was dutiful with her homework and studying. When she saw the test in front of her, she scoffed and began writing at once. "Plant cells? Too easy," she mumbled in satisfaction as she ripped through the test. Of course she would have preferred a perfect score, but she felt rather proud of herself as she handed in her test.

There was a lot of things going on for Foras in his life at the moment, but for some reason he was determined to get a good grade on his next Science test. He hadn't really been doing great in any of his subjects (aside from his electives) and so he had decided to do well on his next test and the next test just so happened to be on the Elements Bring it on science, he could handle you. Somehow, with very little studying, he actually felt pretty confident when he turned in his paper. He knew he'd gotten a good number of them right and for those he couldn't quite remember he had at least tried. Hopefully he'd get a good mark for a change!

Plants were cool. Mneme had taken detailed notes on the subject, but....their handwriting really was not the best. They hadn't really gathered much from the textbook either, so despite doing well enough to pass, they still felt a little bad that it wasn't their very best work. Oh well...

Plants?? Why did plants matter so much?! Toru barely managed to fill out his quiz due to the sheer disinterest in the topic he had. He'd much rather be outside doing something active... He at least managed to scrape a barely passing score at least.

This was... mildly engaging. But tests really were not Sousuke's strong suit at all. He stared at the page in quiet frustration for a while before filling it out, finding he remembered far less than he thought he did when first coming into the class. Welp. At least he managed to pass?

Despite his best attempts, Prometheus could not remember the entire periodic table. It was really quite disappointing, but he supposed being stressed out and getting poor sleep had affected his memory. He wrote down what he could, then sighed and leaned back to wait out the rest of the class. Occasionally he wrote down a name he'd remember, but never managed to get it all done.

Ten. Only ten. And they weren't even ones with names that seemed easy to remember. But try as he might, Leif just could not recall more element names. He spent most of the class bent over his paper, staring at it as if the names would just materialize before him... Well, at least this wasn't a test he could fail on.

Normally this sort of thing was right up Equinox's alley. Memorizing things and then regurgitating them onto paper was almost a natural skill for him. However, he'd gotten a bit of a head cold the day before and was still fogged up - so try as he might he couldn't manage more than 52 names. At least he seemed to be doing better than a few of his classmates...?

A written project...? About why they liked science? Oh boy... Neptune chewed at his lip nervously. Did he particularly like science? Not really... Some things were fun, he supposed... but they usually made loud sounds or flashing lights and those terrified him. Still, he needed to write something down.
I don't have a favorite branch of science, but... overall I like that science helps us understand the world around us better than we did before. And that even though there are a lot of black and white answers, when something gets disproved, a lot of people find it exciting rather than upsetting. Its nice that there's a field where new discoveries are celebrated even when they make old ones obsolete.
There, he figured that would do. At least he hoped it would. He didn't really know this teacher at all since she'd only just started, but she seemed nice? At least, nice enough to give them an "easy" project to start off with.

Honestly Ayumu had been asleep for most of the plant cell lessons.... and was nodding off during the test! Somehow Ayu managed to fill out enough to earn a passing grade, then slumped forward to nap on the desk.... hopefully Flora wasn't bothered by drool.
