Eilwen decided to pop into another room near by, Kingston had calmed down a bit and when she headed out it seemed like Vanna was having a conversation with their Skeleton friend in the hall. She laughed a bit when he wheeled the thing away and she popped into another room.
"I'm here to help, if you're in here." Eilwen called out gently, trying to sound as friendly as she could manage. She didn't have a whole lot of experience dealing with children, with the exception of her own brother. She was just trying to picture the missing child as him. How scared they probably were. She was just hoping they would find them soon and that they were safe.

Finally, the child was located. During her search, Eilwen's comforting call to the child managed to coax them out of their hiding place. They threw themself at her, clinging to her leg while shaking with fear. The discovery came at just the right time, as a crashing noise from the building over drew everyone's attention away from the freshling and down the hall. They unknown attackers had arrived. Annabelle wasted no time, she emitted the whistle signal for everyone to get back to the bunker immediately.
"Everyone get back to the bunker, now! They're here! No one stays behind." She began herding the group back towards the bunker doors. Within a matter of minutes they could already hear crashing sounds from within their own building- drawing closer and closer by the second, some even managing to get within attacking distance of any stragglers in the group...

Ah crap. Crap crap crap! Liam heard the whistles and shouting at about the same time he heard the class crashing. Ahead of them. On their level. "Run," he shouted, throwing all caution to the wind. He turned and immediately headed back in the direction of the stairs, keeping level with the group. He kept throwing glances back, glad once again that he had no legs to trip him up in doing so. He really hoped they stairs they'd gone up the first time were clear. They were the closest to the tunnel back to the safe room, and now really wasn't the time to go experimenting with branching paths! If they fell behind and got locked out, they were probably good as dead. Or worse.

Coco got down on her hands and knees to look under the neatly made bed, she thought it might be a good place for the freshling to be hiding. They might have gotten scared like she had, with all the shadows, the wind sounding like voices and the scary skeleton at the end of the hallway. This seemed like a likely place for a little one to be hiding. She listened to Eilwen calling out again, hopefully, it would work they really needed to get back to the bunker. Everyone had been running around like crazy looking for this freshling, everyone had to be exhausted by now. She banged her head on the underside of the bed when the shouts rang out that they had to get back to the bunker now!! When Coco got up she saw that Eilwen had the freshling. "Come on we have to go!!" Coco used her whistle to tell the others they had the freshling, then attempted to pull Eilwen along back to the bunker. Coco screamed as she was bitten on the arm and lost her grip on Eilwen and the freshling. Lural ( I left it open ended in case Kingston wanted to rp with Coco XD )

Everyone back to the bunker? Good plan, geniuses! By all means, lead them back to the others! But these thoughts remained in Helja's head and even as she cynically had those thoughts, she still ran anyway. Why had she gone on this suicidal mission anyway?! She had known this would happen! They should have just left the stupid child to die! But she had no one to blame but herself for her part in this, and so she just ran and cursed the bleeding hearts and her own assumption that she could keep them from being stupid. Of course, she would have had to make the effort first, and that had been definitely lacking. Just time to run, and she could hate them and herself later if they had a moment to breathe after this.

Aedus needed to get him and Niamh out of here now and back to the bunker like awhile ago, He tried to keep her with him though the madness of panicked beings struggling to get back to the bunker before it was too late. This was a crazy idea, but at least he thought he heard a whistle sounding that the freshling had been found. He was going as fast as he could trying as hard as he could to keep Niamh with him. Trying to keep her safe, if he failed he would never forgive himself. He might still never forgive himself for letting her come in the first place.

Adalyn was stooped in a dorm room when the whistle blew. It was so far away from here, she almost didn't hear it. That meant the child had been found! She let out a long breath. Straightening out, she exited the dorm and glanced around for Ilya. " Well, that's good news. I'm glad."
And then the crashing started. Adee's ears prickled. And noises sounded all too familiar. "Ilya, we need to run. They're here!" Casting her head around frantically, trying to consider the best way back, Adalyn didn't really follow her own direction of simply running.
Suddenly, everything was quite. Adalyn turned around, and let out a shrill shriek. Looming behind her was one of the forms. Almost faster than her eye could follow, it grabbed her, and reeled her in. Adalyn screeched as she was hauled upwards, and felt teeth sinking into her leg. The hallowed hybrid trashed as hard as she could, flailing her free limbs. Evidently something connecting, and she hit the floor gasping.
Scrambling to her feet, Adalyn took off as fast as she could, not daring to look back. "Run Ilya, run!"

Kappa was relieved the second he heard the sound of the whistle stating the child was found. However, he wasn't when a second command came.
They had to run.
Instantly, his heart dropped. This was what he had been afraid of. This was what he had tried to shove aside when looking for the child. What good had that done? It had happened anyway, like he had worried. Now, the fear was alive, illuminated by the sound of running feet. His head snapped to look behind him, mouth opened in horror at the rushing body that flung their way towards him. He didn't have a second to respond, releasing a sharp howl as teeth sunk into his neck. Frantically, he pushed at the creature, nails digging into skin and scream emitting from his throat. A white hot pain filled him, sending violent shudders down his body as he kicked and yowled. Something connected, he felt his foot shove at the force and manage to remove it temporarily from his body. Instantly, he sprang up, a hand covering his bleeding neck as he bolted down the hall and to the bunker.
He was bit! He was going to die! This was the end!

Movement outside the doors in front of the stairs meant that there was no time to try to stumble or run down them. "Skip the stairs! Drop from the balcony," Astra said to Liam, moving to wrap her arms around him. Forgoing the stairs was the fastest, and the sooner they got back to the safehouse, the less likely they were to get hurt!

It was hard to hear Raa in the scrambling. He had approached her and she was sure, somewhere along the lines, she had responded, but she wasn't sure what that response had been. It was hard to concentrate. In the back of her mind she knew Raa had expressed affection towards her, yet even that was becoming a haze. She was zoning out, and she wasn't sure if it was the meds, the fear, or both.
Then, the sounds happened.
Slowly, her head raised, mouth parting. "Raa? What's happening?" She questioned as her brain ran over the whistle signal. That meant run to the bunker. That meant there was danger. Her head snapped up, hand reaching out to grab Raa's to pull him with her when, instead, her body crashed into the ground.
Something heavy was pinning her down.
Slamming into her stomach, she yelped as strong hands flipped her onto her back, teeth immediately sinking deep into her shoulder. She let out a fierce and shrill scream, hands scrapping at her attacker as she thrashed under them. The feeling of flesh being torn and muscles exposed left her breathless, the hot pain rolling through her shoulder and down into her toes. It kept tearing, chewing and destroying what it could reach until something hit its jaw. Someone running by must have hit it before fleeing. The being leapt off her for a second, giving Ella a brief moment to scrambling into a sitting position. Her arms pushed to lift her, but the hurt shoulder sent a sharp and blackening pain through her body, causing her weight to fall.
Her eyes lifted once more to see the being make a move to leap at her yet again, head raising as their body flew into the air, about to land on her one last time to finish the job.

Eilwen would be the first to admit she had to hold back a shriek when the child popped out of a closet and wrapped their arms around her waist. That had startled the daylights out of her and her heart rate sped back up. This was a good thing though, they had found the lost child. Coco had already blown her whistle to signal that the kid was found. She picked the little one up. "We'll get you back to the bunker safe and sound."
Then the worst possible thing happened. The sound of windows breaking and doors being forced open was unmistakable. Whatever was outside was here now. "I'm with you Coco just go!" She moved the kid over to one of her hips, holding her up with one hand and keeping a wing over their side like a shield. They would not be getting this child.
It looked like they stood a chance of outrunning whatever was in there, but before long they were starting to over take them. Coco screamed, she'd been running beside her. Eilwen turned and blew out fire at her attacker, scarying them off. But she lost her focused on what else was around them and suddenly their was a pain in her right shoulder. She turned around and used the weight of her tail to knocked down what was one her. She needed to start running again, but she had lagged even further behind. This wasn't looking good. She was backing up now, with her back to the survivors and trying to look as threatening as she could swinging her tail around. She was ready to burn anything that came close to her again. Moving backwards with as much determination as she could manage.

Niamh smiled when the first whistle blew. "Thank goodness!" She grinned up at Aedus. Then the second whistle blew. "... Uh-oh. I think it's time to run." She took off, making sure Aedus was also going to come. That didn't seem like much of a problem.
Then, one foot caught on the other, and the tiny Fey was laying on her belly on the floor. The breath was completely knocked out of her. She lay there for a moment, other students rushing past, and a banging noise following them. She slowly pushed herself up. Her knees felt bruised, and she moaned softly. Then something grabbed her ankle and yanked. She squeeled. And then she screamed, and teeth met her ankle.
She kicked, and squirmed and flapped her wings, and screamed even louder. Then she hit the ground again, and all of the air went out of her, again. This time however, she wasted no time getting up, and running as fast as her wings could assist her. Tears stung in her eyes, and her ankle felt like it was on fire. But still she ran. She cast her eyes around for Aedus, but before she knew it she was back at the bunker, and inside.
"Aedus, where are you?" Her voice was weak and pathetic, filled with pain.

The night was going way too well in Vanna's opinion. While, yes there had been bumps and anxiety attacks, nothing too bad had happened to the academy. Thinking about it, it was almost like there had been a calm of the storm feeling. So it was only natural that they eventually hit the storm wall. Vanna quickly high tailed it out of the room with the skeleton and back to where Eilwen was with the others when the first whistle blew. He also made not of Coco blowing the whistle to sound that they had the child. However it was still too far from the bunker. Did they even go to the bunker and bring this mess to the other people, but there wasn't anywhere else to hide. Then again worse come to worse he would deposit the juniors off with Kingston and then draw their attention off. After all He was way surer of his survival. However the gods had another plan it seemed and chaos erupted around them. Everything slowed down in almost crystal clear picture. He saw when Coco was ripped away from Eilwen and bitten. He saw when Eilwen got scared/mad enough to start blowing fire at them. Vanna was always careful on who he let close to him. He was possessive, although he tried not to be stifling because people were allowed to live their own lives. So when someone damaged something or someone that was his... He… just snapped. This time was no different. They had hurt his precious people. How dare they… How Dare they!!!!! HOW F***king DARE THEY!!!! All the effort he had given to keep back his darker nature was useless as his control snapped violently and before he knew it he slamned his tail into the face of eilwen’s attacker watching with a sick glee as his tail spikes cut into their skin. He barely noticed in his furry that they had used this opportunity to bite into his tail. No instead he was slamming his fist into their other attacker and with his other hand pulling the carving knife he had picked up from that one room they had gone into earlier. The first slice cut them shallowly across the chest and as they staggered back from the surprise Vanna quickly rushed forward, and the carving knife was shoved into their eye. While it was quite easy to die from such an attack he wasn't going to chance them living and pulled the knife out before quickly slashing their throat. One down… one to go. How dare they… How dare they…….“How F***king dare you” Vanna growled. His voice was darker, colder and deeper than it had ever been. With an almost unnatural feeling, he slowly turned towards the other attacker who by that time had recovered to the tail smack both Eilwen and himself had given him and maneuvered the knife to stab them in the chest. Unfortunately They kicked him in the stomach forcing him back and causing him to drop the knife. Seconds later they were on him, their mouths knashing and growling at him. Vanna got a lucky shot and broke what he assumed to be their nose splattering him with even more blood. It continued that way for a while both of them trading blows before vanna set them on fire. As they screamed in pain he dived after the carving knife. The creature lunged at him and he took it full force using their position to lodge the carving knife in their chest with all his strength. Pushing it off of him he quickly ran over to where Eilwen and the child where and just practically threw them both over his shoulder. He made sure Coco and Kingston were in his sights. They were getting back to that bunker now before Vanna turned even more into a monster. He didn’t want to see what look was on everyone’s faces.

Illya turned when she heard the whistle. She fingered it at her neck--now what? She turned to jog back to the others, but stopped dead in her tracks when she heard a shriek.
She hadn't known the hybrid for long, but the voice was still terrifyingly familiar. "Adalyn!" she screamed. She didn't hesitate, but turned on her heel towards the direction in which the screaming had come. She saw the hybrid back on her feet, but she also saw the blood oozing down her leg. Illya grabbed Adalyn's arm and slung it around her neck. She wasn't sure if Adalyn would be able to run in this state, and she was not leaving anyone behind, especially not her search partner.
"Not without you," she growled to the hybrid. "This is why we traveled in pairs!" She hurriedly channeled protective magic as she dashed down the stairs, calling on the power of Saint Yurie to fend off further attacks. She hoped that the child had been found--please let the child have been found! "We're getting out of this together, Adalyn, I promise!Kunibert checked in the next room and sighed. Nothing there. This was all just a waste of time! He should be doing something more...well, he was going to say "productive," but honestly, this was the most productive thing he could be doing. Okay, then, relaxing?
He sighed. Mushroom was getting anxious again. He knelt down on the floor and looked around. He'd gotten separated from his search partners, impatient with the futility of the search. It was just him and his pets now. He let Mushroom out of the bag, but before could give the kit a reassuring rub of the ears, Mushroom was tearing off down the corridor, barking his head off and howling like a maniac.
"Mushroom, dumkopf!" Kuni shouted. Mushroom had run off down a dark corridor. Kuni tore after him, leaving the backpack behind (his rat would be fine). Mushroom was barking like mad at a shadow behind an open door. Kuni groaned. This hallway was full of windows and hard surfaces--the echoing of the kit's barks was deafening! He couldn't hear anything at all. "Bloedmann," Kuni hissed. "Stop barking at shadows!" He scooped up the renegade Fennekit in his arms and turned down the corridor. In his arms, Mushroom was still struggling, but at least he had ceased barking.
In the sudden silence, he heard the sound of a whistle being blown. Once. Twice. A third time.
Something grabbed Kuni, locking its arms around his so that he couldn't move. He gasped as powerful arms forced the air out of his ribcage in a rush. His head swam, and he felt his feet being lifted off the floor.
Did he imagine it, or did the figure really say, "You should have listened to your pet, sweetie"?
There was a pressure where his neck met his shoulders, and then there was linoleum under his cheek. A shadow passed over him, heading back the way he had come. At that exact moment, pain, terrible pain flooded his senses, emanating from his neck and shoulder. Mushroom and Marsh were trapped underneath his body, wriggling and crying out. Kuni gasped air into his empty lungs, and as loudly as he could, he screamed, "ASHI! GAIUS, HOWL, GET OUT OF ZERE!!"
He had no idea if they could hear him. He struggled to his feet and limped after his assailant. He prayed to the Mother With Strong Arms and Strong Will to keep them safe, that they'd heard his cry and that they'd run--or better yet, that they had heard the whistle long before he had.
