Aedus waited for everyone else to get straight before going very far since, that grimms idea about whistles was a good one. He didn't want to keep Niamh out in this mess any longer than he had to. The sooner they found the kid and found each other again, the sooner they could all get back to the bunker where they should all be safeish. Least he hoped they and everyone else would be safe, if something happened to the bunker Aedus wasn't sure what they would or should do. He sighed rubbing his face it seemed like forever ago he was going to get pizza with Niamh.

She nodded, and trailed off after her friend. "I think it sounds best to come back if we find them ... I mean, we wouldn't want to get uh ... caught out here." She fingered the whistle, while glancing down the hall. The small Fey made sure to bend down, and check under a table leaning on the wall.

Ahead, the hall forked. "Left or right Aedus?"

"Now, the questions is. Where would they have gone?" If they had left the bunker in order to look for someone, they probably would have gone to the upper levels. Were they trying to leave the Academy? She sure hoped not, if any of their doors or windows were tampered with, who knows what could end up getting in. She was a little nervous about head upstairs, afraid of seeing any of the windows or door guards down.

"I think maybe the freshling dorms might be a good place to start?" Maybe they just wanted to go back to their own room. If the kid was a student at the Academy it made sense.

Annabelle held her mouth tight as she watched the group coming with her. She wasn't happy, which was a rare emotion for the grimm these days. Combine the fact that the academy was in a place of distress (which she didn't blame Ava, the woman had tried for awhile to up security without approval from the board), and not only that but Mink had endangered them. No, it wasn't just that, it was also the fact that now she too was doing the same. She should have gone on the search alone. If anything happened....

Luckily, Kingston snapped her from her thoughts, head canting to the side as pink eyes locked on him. Clever. She kicked herself mentally for not thinking it up before. She really needed to stop focusing on her frustrations. Mink and everything else could wait until after they found the child.

"Yes, that's a wonderful idea. We'll do that." She raised her voice so the others would hear her.

"We'll whistle messages, thanks to Kingston's clever idea. One for danger, two for we found the child, three for we need to get to the bunker now." Aedus spoke, causing an ear to flick up.

"When you find the child whistle twice and head to the bunker. Everyone should return once you hear the sound. The faster we're back the faster we can attend to the child's needs."

Kappa didn't know why he thought leaving the bunker was a good idea. This was something Kappa wasn't supposed to do, he knew it. He was wired to run away, not go towards danger. Yet, something had clicked in him. What if the child had been Alice years ago? They were alone and most likely frightened. They needed someone. That feeling had surged a response to exit the bunker when prompted, but not his bravery was wearing off.

This was a stupid, no good idea!

However, seeing Annabelle did help. She was the head caretaker, that meant it was her job to protect the children. She had something that qualified her for that position. They'd be safe by her side, right? Ava choose her, and the headmaster trusted her enough to put her in a position of power. They'd be okay.... right?

Aedus nodded his thanks to Annabelle and Kingston, the information was important for keeping everyone as safe as possible. Get in, get the kid, get out. Simple as possible. Aedus then spotted Kappa near Annabelle and he called out softly still. "Hey, Kappa do you want to come in Niamh and my group??" His words were still gruff as they normally were, but Annabelle had said to stick together and Niamh had been worried about Kappa being ok before. Besides Aedus had let Kappa sleep in his room, might as well invite them along for the search too, he was a bit surprised that Kappa had left the bunker, though. Aedus looked at Niamh and said "You go ahead and pick the direction."

Liam shrugged. "That just means we'll have to be more creative, and hope we're not the only ones searching upstairs. Honestly this place is so massive I doubt we'll be able to cover it all in a safe amount of time."

He mulled silently for a bit, looking at their options. "Let's try to think like a kid would. Why would they leave? If they're scared, they would have been more likely to stay with the group. So if they slipped out and actually wandered off, maybe it was for a reason. A precious item or a familiar they left behind." He looked inquiringly at Astra. "Maybe the dorms would be a good place to try to check? Which way are they?"

Sorry for the sudden string of quotes! Finally got a moment to sit down and write!

Kuni nodded when Gaius pulled out the light and nodded. "Zat's sensible." Hm, why hadn't he thought of using his phone? He didn't pull it out, though--he didn't want to be holding it if danger popped up. "I sink ve should check ze closets, like Gaius said," he said. Ashi had a point, though... "I sink...it could be possible zat ze child vas lured out? But I don't know how ve could use zat idea to form a search pattern." He shrugged. "I'm open to suggestions. Teamvork is still a new sing for me."







Illya shook the hybrid's hand gratefully. Yes, this one seemed a sensible choice for a search partner--business-like professional--that sort of thing. "I'm pleased to meet you, Adalyn." She thought about the upstairs, then nodded. "I think that's a good idea. I don't have a better one myself--I'm not a caretaker and I didn't grow up around here. I'd like to get started as soon as possible, if that's alright with you." A law student--even better! "You must be at Asterion, then," she said. "My alma mater!"
