That display she had spooked her a bit, but it had also given her some courage. This was the school she was used to, she just had to remember that it was dark. Things were going to look scary, that's just when the darkness did. They hadn't actually found any evidence of tampering. Finally she had calmed down a bit. Hopefully they could find the missing child and get out of here quickly.

She played with the whistle hanging form her neck as she started looking through the rooms. It looked like maybe some people had already been in here. But maybe they just hadn't looked hard enough. Maybe they were too scared to call out, worried something nasty would over hear them.

She made sure to call out into each room, not raising her voice too loud. "Is anyone in here? I'm here to help." She looked in places she thought a small child could hide.

Aedus was standing by the skeleton waiting to see if Niamh would join him, then they could go look in the dorm rooms around the skeleton for the freshling. They could handle thing, yes he had let a window get the best of him, but Niamh had caught that and they could move on so they would be alright. They would get through this crazy a** night together. Aedus had to believe that or he would start breaking stuff. Possibly start with that darn window that scared him earlier. Aedus looked around for Kappa, he was a bit worried since he hadn't seen him lately.

The more empty rooms they came across, the more eerie this place seemed to become. They knew something was out there in the dark due to the other safe houses falling. So it was hard not to keep your mind from jumping to the possibility of the attackers coming here to the academy. The fear in the adults from earlier wasn’t helping either. Vanna hated being in the dark figuratively. However there wasn’t much he could do it about it. So he felt himself contemplating everything that had happened tonight. Wondering what could have been handled differently.

Well that would lead him down dangerous paths. He already felt like he should have tried harder to keep everyone in the bunker. However he also hated restricting people. His parents, and he sneered the word in his head here, had been fine examples of what not to do. So he hadn’t tried as hard as he would have liked to keep the group in the bunker.

So he had been with the group the whole time when they came by the skeleton. Seeing the general shape of it and the size caused him to freeze up for a second. The way the light was playing against it hit home closer than he would have liked. He remembered another dark night he had been searching around an abandoned complex. It was almost the exact same setup as when he had confronted Felicio before he had…

Ah… that’s why this night was playing with his nerves so much. Well he was never one to leave any one behind and so despite his cool being shaken he pushed forward. When he realized it was a skeleton a growl escaped his throat as he grabbed the display and wheeled it into one of the open rooms.
“I want to believe they’re okay other than being really scared. I think we would have heard something… something more than just… whats been happening”

"If only the school didn't have a flame resistant spell on you" Vanna muttered darkly and underneath his breath as they walked away from the skeleton. Mmm okay there was that bad way of thinking again. He was at the academy. He couldn't go into boss mode. He would get through this with out going into boss mode and getting Eilwen more suspicious.

Speaking of the two, He was glad this time that Coco and Eilwen seemed to handle it okay. He just hoped they could last a little bit longer until they found the child and got back to the bunker. Still what about Kingston. He paused and turned to look at his friend.

(I'm just going to combine my post for points with this one because I point posted before seeing the update.)

Things had been going smoothly, Maybe a little too smoothly. "Hey Coco..." He felt bad that the junior seemed to think she was slowing them down. "You know we do need you here." He said softly. "I mean, when we find the freshling" at least when whoever found them, found the freshling "It would be great to have someone kind and not scary like you and Eilwen to keep the child calm. I mean, Vanna and I might make the poor kid cry, right?" He grinned at her, slinging his make-shift weapon over his shoulder. "So don't go running off on us, ok?" He gave her shoulder a pat with his free hand as they headed into the next set of dorms.

However, there was something at the end of the hall. Maybe it was the dark, or maybe it was his eyes playing a trick on him, but he saw that figure at the end of the hall and instantly his brain went "NOPENOPENOPE" and he ducked into the first room he saw. s**t, what the hell was that about? For the first time, he was breathing harder. That... that thing had actually startled him. "...********." Welp, he really wasn't as brave as he wanted to be, and he just left his friends out in the hall with whatever that was! ARGH! Kingston felt like garbage.

It took Eilwen a moment to realize one of them had been left behind. She just thought they all had breezed right back that creepy skeleton. When she went back into the hall though she noticed that they were missing Kingston. Uh oh, she didn't like the thought of them all being split up.

"We should maybe go tell Kingston that it was fake." There was a small smile on her face, just enough to hint that she actually found the whole situation kind of funny. Still, being split up like this wouldn't be fun and they had lost some of the man-power that they needed to find the child as well.

She back-tracked a bit, skirting around the fake skeleton, and heard Kingston's curse. "Hey, it startled me at first too. But it's just a fake. No big deal. It is creepy though...Ugh." Eilwen didn't judge Kingston at all. She had wanted to run away before they'd barely started looking.
