Sure enough Vanna had predicted it correctly. Everyone in his group was going outside to find the child. He noticed some of the stares as they left. He could tell they thought it was stupid to have opened the door in the first place but you had to take into consideration things. Some people just needed to do something. Sure, yes he agreed it was stupid but the point is they had opened the door. So it only made sense that those people then went out and found the child. He could mention all his reasons for agreeing to search for the child again but it was a moot point. So with a sigh he took the whistle and placed it over his head. “Eilwen is right. It’s better to stick together.” Vanna agreed. He didn’t mention that there was a comfort in thinking about safety in numbers. It was easier for some people to have more people in a group than just yourself and another person.

"Gods help us all." Helja muttered under her breath as she trailed after others. There weren't nearly enough of them to search the whole school in any quick time frame. If the cannibals showed up, that could both work for and against them. If they were really lucky then the Academy would seem abandoned and the cannibals wouldn't try to break in at all.
She knew better than to count on such good luck however and only sighed softly. Well, there was a benefit to being in a group at least--maybe they would get eaten before she was. As much as she thought these others were idiots for caring for one even dumber child, she couldn't honestly call them stupid without admitting she was just as much so for being out with them. Well, they were all going to die one way or another. At least out in the corridors she wouldn't be trampled by too many people when they ran for their lives.
"H-huh?" Chunli nearly jumped out of her skin when Ruby spoke beside her. The Fallen looked tough - leather jaket, baseball bat. Wait. When or why did they get a baseball bat? Maybe they came from the safehouse? It was neither here nor there, but it did make the Chimera feel immensely better, "Sure. I'm Chunli."
Chunli wasn't sure she had ever been in the school when it was so... quiet. It was as if someone had grabbed the volume knob and turned it down to 0. "Nice bat. Wish I had one."

"We can always split up later in the event that...we have to." She didn't like to think about that fact that there could be something out there that would require them to split up, but you never knew. She was hoping she could help fight off whatever showed up, but their was a good chance her anxiety would get the best of her in a critical moment like that.
Maybe it really wasn't a great idea for her to have left the bunker. In the end, she could really just end up dragging her team behind if they got into trouble. What was she supposed to do? She'd never been put in a situation like this before. There was really no guild line for her during something like this.

"Yeah, I don't think it's a good idea for us to split up. No matter how you look at it, it's a bad idea. I mean, selfish reasons being I'd worry about whoever I wasn't with, and wouldn't really be able to concentrate on the search. and practical reasons being... if there is something dangerous out there... Well... I would much rather Vanna and I both be there. If we have to fight, you two can always sound the alarm while we distract them." Yeah, he would totally feel better with company. "And when we do find the child" He was sure the child would be found "it is best to have more eyes on them, since they seem to have a tendency to wander."
Kuni had no idea where he was going to start searching. But he wanted to get started soon. He checked to make sure that his animals were safe, then looked under the nearest window seat. Nothing. Okay, then. He headed back to the others.

Illya was eager to get started, but there was no point in moving out without anyone. She took a quick glance down the nearest corridor. There was nothing down there. Well, it had been worth a check.
Stairs to the left, and a hallway to the right. Astra turned, looking back at the other two before she turned towards the staircase. In the event of needing an escape, it was easier to avoid getting swarmed on upper floors!

"Hang tight one moment, ok?" Kingston looked at his friends. "I don't think Annabelle heard my question. Don't go anywhere without me, ok?" He smiled at them before heading up to ask Annabelle.
"I'm sorry if this seems like an obvious thing or not, but I was wondering if we should have some sort of like... whistle code. You know, one tweet for danger and we need help, and two for if we found the kid? Just so we can alert everyone that the kid's been found so we can all get back to safety, ya know?" He really didn't know how else it could be communicated between groups if they found the lost child.

Aedus looked at Niamh, she was a tiny thing of a fey, but that never bothered him. "Yea we don't know what's out there with the kid we're looking for so tripping would be a bad idea in case we have to run away from something." Aedus nodded and said "Sure any direction is a good direction, let's get going." Aedus said softly touching his whistle. They were both still close enough to hear what was going on with the rest of the group, though he wasn't too worried about whistle codes like the grimm was saying then again. "That guy does have a point and once we've found the kid, do we wait where we found them or all meet back here??"

Coco smiled and nodded at Vanna and Eilwen it did sound a lot less scary for them to all stick together. Also with both Kingston and Vanna there Coco and Eilwen would both be safer than if they split up right? Coco shook her head looking at Kingston "That isn't a selfish reason, you have a big heart I would be worried about the other group being ok too." She said softly "My thought was just finding the child faster that's all.. They must be so scared out there.. I wonder why they wandered off at all.. Coco nodded as she listened to Kingston trying to get the answer to his question before they started off to try to find the freshling.
"Nice to meet you," Ruby smirked, or maybe it was a smile, but she couldn't be too sure of her emotions in such a dire situation. She glanced at her bat again, the convenient weapon she just happened to bring along. Chunli's comment coaxed a chuckle out of her. "It was supposed to be a part of my Hallows costume," she admitted, gesturing to the rest of her faux-gangster, or perhaps greaser, ensemble.
"I have to say I'm pretty grateful for it now. It'll definitely come in handy if we run into any creeps tonight." Creeps in the school definitely wouldn't be good - especially not for that kid they were supposed to be looking for. Ruby hoped the freshling was safe. There was hardly indication that a little kid was running around here, despite the sounds of other people searching. She realized the kid would probably be hiding. But from what? She tried to take a deep breath, keep herself calm, focused.
"What were you doing when they called everyone into the auditorium?"

Liam grumbled a little under his breath as Astra chose the direction, but it was just in his nature to grumble. He quickly trailed after her, trying to keep close but not so close as to trip her up in case they had to move suddenly. There was at least one advantage to being Naga, and that was that he could move a lot quicker in a hurry if he had to, with no feet to trip over. It made up for the height difference most times, though he was glad he was nowhere near close to shedding time. Lethargy was the last thing he needed right now!

"They could have wandered off to look for someone." If Eilwen hadn't known Erion was safe she probably wouldn't have been able to sit still in the bunker either. She'd like to think she could tear through any sort of monster to get to him if he was in trouble. That would probably get her killed though....
"I think we have enough groups and volunteers that we should be able to find them quickly though." At least she hoped they could all return to the bunker soon. The more time she spent out here the more she kept thinking she was hearing things. Creepy things. Things that made a shiver run down her spine.
Kuni glanced through a slit in a nearby window, just to see if the child might have been loose since before they'd boarded the windows. Nope, no sign of a child outside.

Illya wished she could send Tendara to look, but she had nothing with which the fox could get a scent. Nonetheless, Illya looked in the nearest closet before returning to Adalyn.

When Liam saw Astra heading for the stairs he felt a bit less happy, but breathed a sigh of relief once they made it up to the next floor. He had a bit of a paranoia about getting attacked in the middle of the staircase, and having the low ground would have put them at a bit of a disadvantage. He did wonder if the kid would have come up here, but maybe there could be a dorm or particular room they felt safe in and that's where they went to hide.
"Wonder why the kid slipped out at all. Think they're after something they left behind," he wondered aloud.
