 Kingston had often said he was nice. Coco had just said he was nice. It was a common enough statement he heard from people. However he had always believed that you should treat your friends, family and those weaker than you with a sort of kindness. It was just what you did. Other wise Vanna wasn't nice and the universe didn't let him forget it. So it didn't suprise him that this was turning into a bloody freaking mess. He recognized the tone from Eilwen's statement. He had been her big brother for enough time, not to mention he had been through enough of Mai's anxiety attacks. Looking over to see her counting the beads just reaffirmed that Eilwen was also in the midst of an anxiety attack. Dont order. Don't assume you knew what they needed. Get them to breath at your pace. Be predictable and talk in short clear sentences. It was rules he knew by heart. he had put them into practice for a good two decades now.
" We're almost to the freshling dorms. We'll get out of the hallway and it'll be quieter. We can do this" he replied. Getting angry wouldn't help. So he held out his hand like all those years ago and materialized a small palm sized vespercat made entirely of fire. It had been the first magic trick he had ever shown Eilwen.

 Kingston blinked when he saw Vanna hold out his hand. Oh this was gonna be good! He grinned when he saw the vespercat shaped fire. "Whoa. When did you learn to do that?" Kingston was impressed. Vanna really was full of surprises. He knew he was doing it to try and calm their companions down, but maybe just a little bit, Vanna was also showing off? He had to keep looking cool for his little sis, right? Roll/point things: 9+9+3+10-0+4+7+6=48

 Coco frowned she hadn't expected Eilwen to get scared too, she didn't know that she dealt with panic attacks often. Really Coco didn't know a lot about her group, except she cared about them all. Her eyes widened when Vanna did his trick to distract Eilwen from her fear. Coco went along with her group on their way to the freshling dorms, they had to get through this they just had to. They didn't have any other choice but the find the freshling and high tail it back to the bunker. There wasn't any other choice. She kept repeating the phrase in her head. Total Points 7 + 7 + 3 + 9 = 26 -5 anxiety fail. + 6 + 10 = 37

 Liam frowned and shook his head. He had to admit it was a little irksome to be coddled by someone younger than him, but he didn't say anything aloud. He was well aware that his temper was easy to spark even at the best of times, and whatever else the junior might have meant he was well aware of his nerves. He couldn't help them, but he could function around them. But he was afraid he'd snap if he actually said anything, and they didn't need that kind of discord right now. Best to just keep pressing forward, and hope they caught a lucky break. Total Points: 31

 Aedus lead his little group in their search of the classrooms, he figured if anyone else needed a group to join they could catch up with his small group. Wow look at Aedus thinking like a people person.. Grumble.. Nah it was still a selfish desire, right? Aedus was still a grumpy jerk right? He hadn't changed so much after meeting Niamh.. He shook his head sharply, maybe he was going soft. If that was the chase so be it, as long as too many people didn't know about his squishy insides. That would just land him in detention. Even though they hadn't even searched more than a hallway of classrooms, Ruby was feeling more and more confident that the kid was okay. I mean, bad things couldn't happen to freshlings like that, right? They were just too small and cute and... well, at least that's what this fallen thought. If they found that kid in a bad spot, she'd beat off whoever she had to to make them safe again. Ruby wanted to tell herself she wasn't afraid of anything. She'd lived on her own as a child. Surely she could fight some creeps who just wanted to scare people for fun on Haunted Hallows.

They were coming up on the dorms here soon, she was quite familiar with the Freshling dorm area. She spent a lot of time there visiting her brother. He'd often demand for her to come over and spend time with her. She saw Vanna reach out his hand and a familiar magic trick appeared before her eyes. It brought her back to when she was young and they'd just met. He'd mentioned that he was good with illusions, the first trick she ever saw him do was conjure a little vespercat. She had been so impressed then she'd taken an interest in illusion magic herself.
"I can't wait to take that class." It would't be long before she could start taking senior level classes. The trick was enough to calm her down, well at least she stopped fiddling with her bracelets. She was still working on her breathing as they stepped into the dorms and started their search.

Kunibert wasn't having any luck, sadly. Every room he checked was utterly empty, as though someone had vacuumed all of the life out of it. The next room had no one in it--no one hiding under desks or hiding in a closet or a wardrobe or something. "Zere's no vun in zis room, eizer," he said.Illya looked into the nearest unlocked room. It was a dorm room for Nixie and Naiad freshlings, with enough space for six young Naiads to be living. There was no sign of them in their beds or in their pools, however, and there was nothing in the closet or observation spaces. "Nothing here," she said to Adalyn.

"Its actually been a while since I've done this trick" Vanna replied looking down at the fire cat. He had been using his fire magic for slightly more destructive means as of late, but learning about magic was still a passion of his and the theory was still the same so it was easy to execute. "Well I learned how to do the spell when I was about Eilwen's age in the sense that I often spent many a sleepless night reading up on magic theory. However I couldn't actually cast it until a couple years later. but yes, Illusions is a fun class. I always suggest that if you like magic you take it."He was glad that a calm of some sorts was finally returning to the group. Even if he hid the wish that he hoped the first room they searched was owned by a carver or a baseball player. Sure his tail and fire magic could be considered weapons but those were supposed to be back ups.

Coco hadn't really thought about fighting, she knew though she would have to try to defend herself if something came at her.. Coco took another deep breath as they headed off to the dorms to look for the freshling or perhaps they would get lucky and find the freshling on the way to the dorm.. "I never really thought much about doing magic, since I want to be an artist." She said softly "Do you think we will have to umm fight anything out here??" Coco voiced her fear softly she wasn't really a fighter maybe she should have stayed in the bunker. Total points 7 + 7 + 3 + 9 = 26 -5 anxiety fail. + 6 + 10 + 5 = 42

Aedus continued on with Kappa and Niamh looking for the freshling, he was also keeping an eye out for anything he could use to defend himself, though Aedus wasn't opposed to using his fists if he didn't find hockey stick or baseball bat that he could use to keep whatever had been biting people at a distance. Aedus wondered if the whoever's hadn't done some experiment with freshlings and poisonous creatures maybe that's why the people who were bitten were now sick? Whatever the hell the organization that started this BS was thinking they were crazy and Aedus hoped he would have a chance to pound their faces in.
