[ Objective 4 - Log 1 ]

Day 0 had been tough. Alex could remember the steady loss of music, moving around in pitch black night. He had been struggling to keep peace at bay when it seemed everything had broken loose. He had watched as someone attacked someone else, and the sickening munching sound of teeth against bone. He emptied his handgun into someone elses body but they didn't stay down.

He fumbled, lost the gun. Ran. Ran hard and ran fast. The sign CLEARVIEW APARTMENTS, Now leasing 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and Suites! flitted by in his eyesight. He ducked in, as people rushed out.

"Police officer! Get back into your homes!" He held up his badge, "Get back in the apartments! Lock or barricade the doors! We have an attack." Those who listened did as he said. Those who didn't...

Alex remembered that many of them left, took their personal belongings and cars and tried to run. It's why the streets were littered with belongings and cars but not people. There was no more people.

He stayed in the apartments, as 100 people became 70...became 50...eventually there was barely more then a measly 30 of them. Resources were getting hard, and food was becoming scarce. He pulled at the skin on his side. Some weight loss, and that was fine. He still had enough to survive and he would keep surviving.

Since then, it had been finding friends in the building. Surviving. Choosing a leader among them. Zelda and October had been good choices and both more then adequate as leaders. Alex was happy enough to just sit back and wait. Until the zombies came through and killed them off.
